I’ve been going to Mikasa for several years now and she is the best! She always takes her time with any service.I recently, however, had a scheduled appointment for this last Saturday 8/8 and for some reason no one was in the salon at all; no one has been since then. I even called and left a few voicemails for them. If anyone knows what happened or if something happened please let me know! It’s very unusual that no one was there, not even the receptionist, and that there weren’t any updates put up on their website about it :-(

I have been going to Mikasa for YEARS, but no one ever answers the phones now. Does anyone know if the business closed down?

I went in today for a brow wax and they turned out awesome! Last year my old brow lady moved and I did too. I’ve tried a few places since and haven’t been happy with the results. Based on reviews, a little word of mouth and location to my new apartment, I tried this place. I’m very happy with how friendly the front desk staff was, how quick I was in and out, how well Lisa listened to what I wanted and most importantly how well my eyebrows tuned out! I will definitely go back in a few weeks!

Technician only used soft wax for my entire Brazilian, even on the more sensitive areas that usually are done with hard wax. Receptionist was very friendly and the space very Clean.

Lisa was fast, friendly, and kept me distracted which really helped. She has a great sense of humor which is fantastic. Front desk staff was very sweet. They accepted my appointment with only two days notice, great place all around.

The women are so friendly and make you feel right at home, I only lived in Chicago for 5 months and went here every time i need a wax, I also recommended to my friends! It is so clean, professional and more than reasonable pricing. Honestly the best waxing experience I have ever had.

They are very quick, nice and do a really good job with all waxings. I was a little late for my appointment and they stayed open until i arrived. I was in dire need for a wax before my vacation so i couldnt wait. The prices are relatively cheap but with good service and results

Mikasa is hands down the best!I’ve been coming here for YEARS (she was my first aesthetician) and it is because of her I keep going back. I always get a full Brazilian.Thought everyone here is amazing, throughout the years I’ve been seen by a few different esthetician’s yet always end up having to do some fine touching at home and end up very sore.Never the case with Mikasa. Always gets all the little hairs and makes it painless. I don’t know how she does it! If you’re new at waxing and are very scared to try it, book with Mikasa. I’ve turned some of my friends by sending them to her.Not to mention she will always engage in pleasant conversation.They do not have an ATM or let you add tip on your receipt so please bring cash for your aesthetician.❤️❤️❤️

Holy moly! I have never had the most meticulous esthetician and she was fast. She got everything that I wanted done with one swipe pretty much. Laurie was great because she knew what areas to use hard wax and which areas to use soft wax on. Im from Michigan City, IN but the price that you pay for, for ALL that you get is un-beatable. I am definitely driving the one hour for a wax. I had 4 areas waxed and only payed $86. Thats not even half of what I would pay back where I was from. The parking is convenient as well because it is right in front of the building and its free. Just Waxing also has specials which makes it all the more affordable. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with them and I am definitely coming back. You cant beat the price and professionalism.

Just waited a little more from them, since they had such a rating, but I get a very quick service, went for a Brazilian. checking home, there are still hair everywhere around, so dont know what to compare with, since it was my first time doing Brazilian, so I will go again to make myself happier with the experience

I’ve been getting waxed for nearly a decade. This is by far the worst one (and I’ve been burnt by too hot wax). It’s been about two weeks and I have the most ingrowns I have ever had in ten years. I follow the same routine after after wax I’ve had, occasional exfoliating and of course I’ll get an ingrown or two but not every strand of hair becoming in ingrown. My waxer did not wait until the hard wax was dry before removing it, thus having to go over the same area several times and still not getting every hair. The very next day, up popped the biggest ingrown of my life. I can’t stress this enough: I know ingrowns happen. I’ve never had them in this quantity. I’ve never had them form in less than 24 hours. What is that. She also did not let me inspect to see that it was done to my liking (like other salons do). Two stars for getting me in at the last minute, reasonably priced and getting a visible majority of my hair off.

I loved it here! Its so cozy and the staff is really friendly. Me and my friend went for the first time and we felt really comfortable, and not to mention they fit us right in!!

Mikasa was amazing. I been waxing my own private part for 2 years & i would only do half i would shave the lips because it would hurt to pull the wax off. I was recommended by a former coworker to come to this location & get waxed by Mikasa. I booked my appt . Had the 1st BEST experience ever. She was super friendly. She kept a coversation w/ me the whole time to keep me distracted. It honestly did not hurt at all when she did the lips. Mikasa is my favorite. I’ve been getting multiple wax services here and they’re always friendly and gentle. I was scared sh*tless first. THE WORST EYEBROW WAXING IVE EVER GOT! I would give 0 stars, if I could. The girl has no idea what she was doing. All I wanted was for her to clean up my brows a little- they already had the shape I wanted. She made my brows SUPER thin, I no longer have an arch on my brows AND SHE MADE THEM LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! They gave me 20% off, but honestly i shouldnt have paid for it at all. Im never going back to this place. Way over price for my now ruined brows.

Went to just waxing with Mikasa and had a great experience she did a back and shoulder wax on me cause im a hairy dude . Loved it no breakouts either she put a aftercare solution which she wouldnt tell me what it was. She said its her Just Waxing secret needless to say ill be back

Absolutely awful! Went for a brazilIan and full leg. The price was cheap, but it was cheap for a reason. There were so many patches on hair left on my legs, and the line she left for my Brazilian was big and so uneven.I ended up having to go to Huma on Milwaukee (who were awesome) to sort it out.The girl also gave me stick for tipping 15%.

I moved away briefly and so have not seen Mikasa at Just Wax for some time.I cant wait to go back. To say I cant wait to have someone pull my private hairs out at the root, should tell you all that you need to know about Just Wax/Mikasa.Its clean, fair prices, great service and--KEY, FACTUAL BONUS--they know how to wax people who have kinky/curly hairs... at all of the other non-cranially-located, hairy regions of their bodies.Definitely worth it for that. At another salon, I had a horror situation when a straight-haired person, confused how coils emerge from the skin turned me into ingrown hair having wildebeest.Not at Just Wax, and not Mikasa. Worth it, 5 Stars.

The beautiful young lady Shanara was so nice and helpful. She is very sweet and patient and answers all my questions. She made me laugh and is very genuine.
