I had my first session at 100 Percent Permanent Hair Removal in Chicago, IL today, and it was an amazing experience. Let me explain.This session was in preparation for gender confirmation surgery. This means I had to spend hours with a total stranger applying an electrified needle and tweezers to my genitalia. If the thought of that doesn’t make you cringe with apprehension, then you probably don’t want to walk through the TVA’s robot detector.Anyway, I was nervous, to say the least. I didn’t need to be. Valeria, the electrologist, and her staff were amazing. Before we even began, it was clear to me that they get it. It wasn’t just that no one misgendered me, it was that they clearly understood the needs and apprehensions of transgender individuals. Within minutes, we were talking freely and laughing, and I felt truly welcome.As for the treatment itself, it was better than I’d expected. I’m not going to lie: I’m a total wimp. My pain tolerance left on the SS Testosterone, and I don’t expect it back. They address this with lidocaine injections, which is why I drove five hours to go to this particular practice. Was it totally painless? No. But I can’t even fathom how anyone could do this without anesthetic.They were kind and understanding. They communicated easily and made adjustments as we went along—the perfect blend of personable and professional. I just wish everyone had the same attitude. So yeah, if you need any kind of hair removal, I cannot recommend 100 Percent Permanent Hair Removal highly enough.

I had the most wonderful consultation with Valeria. She was very detailed in her explanation of electrolysis. I have had electrolysis before, however, I felt the place lacked client competency. Valeria provided information on pre-treatment, aftercare, etc. It was refreshing to find someone who looks at you as a person and not as a paycheck!

My right side was a walk in the park felt nothing but my left was always painful no matter how much we tried and she tried a lot which showed me she cared more about me then getting it done.Also she ONLY charges what she works if by any chance a break is taken or she needs to stop she will only charge what she works which is incredible because most places will charge you the whole hour rather then what they actually work wether is because you’re in pain or body needs to adjust.Although electrolysis is not cheap it is worth it when you find someone as caring as her.I will always recommend her and be back.Renata which is the Anesthesia injector is also so caring and nice! She ensures you have the right dosage and stay within the allowed dosage guidelines, and is always willing to help.I did electrolysis on my genital area.

I really have had a pleasant experience here. Valeria is really sweet and personable and is very knowledgeable about electrolysis. I’ve had electrolysis before but wasn’t seeing much progress. I also didn’t understand the hair growth process and how often to come. At my consultation Valeria broke everything down like hair growth cycles and of course how electrolysis works. Also the technology she uses is up to date and efficient, she uses is a quick zap (I was used to the needle being inserted and then having to wait a few seconds before you’re zapped). I’ve had about 5 sessions and already my hair is finer and less. She even is concerned about your aftermath; how your skin reacts to the electrolysis. And everything she recommends I follow.I shared with Valeria that I feel more confident (as the hair that’s being treated is on my face) and more feminine since I’ve been coming to her. I enjoy going to my treatments because I know I’m 1 more session closer to less hair! Her space is extremely clean and I love the location. I definitely recommend her!

An initial consultation is required before your first session to explain the nuances of electrolysis. If you opt for pure topical pain management, then you are responsible for applying before the appointment, but injected and/or sedated pain management is possible w/ additional cost.Recommended.

I came across electrolysis and found Valeria, I didnt know anything about electrolysis. I had my consultation with her and she educated me on the process thoroughly and told me all the expectations throughout the journey. She is very professional and friendly.Tips:1. Use a good moisturizer and a good oil while going to sleep and make sure your skin is hydrated. This makes the electrolysis process easier.2. Make your appointments every 3-4 weeks so that the treatment is effective3. You have to be patient as it may take a couple sessions to start seeing the results.I have had almost 6 sessions now and do see the results clearly, This is 100% more effective then Laser hair removal process(my experience resulted in more hair) so do not waste you money on ineffective methods.

I started going here about a year ago. Valeria is awesome! She’s super nice and knowledgeable but, most importantly, she does great work. She never treats any hairs by just plucking or doing inadequate insertions. I’m always confident with her that she is permanent killing the hair. She is super fast at clearing hairs. I just wish I knew of Valeria sooner as she is truly the best out there! A solid 5 star rating well deserved.
