Do NOT come to this gym. Think twice about giving this fitness company any money. They do not care for their customers and are extremely unprofessional. Communication is poor and they can care less about ones fitness goal, they rather make profit and more money off of people. They discriminate and ALEX who is the director will give people different pricing depending on who you are. You pay a crazy amount of money to attend a 30-40 minute class when they specifically say, classes are 60 minutes. I will be sharing this with all friends who are planning to join a fitness class as will.
From the moment I stepped in the door the staff was very inviting. They made me feel welcome even though I was only in town for a few days and wouldnt become a member. They walked me through a typical workout and what to expect once class started. Jamie put together a great routine and was encouraging throughout the session. If moved to the area, this is the gym Id call home.
I highly do not recommend CTF. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and do not care for their customers. My friend and I got a “discounted” membership price which recently ended so I asked Alex (director at CTF) for pricing and more membership options. I was given different pricing from the owner himself (Charlie) and Alex while trying to workout a payment plan because the prices she had given were outrageous. Alex said she would try to lower the pricing a little more, but never got back to me because she stepped out of the office for a few days. I ended up calling CTF and another manager assisted me and told me he’d help me set up something more affordable and that he had some good package deals. We came to an agreement, he took my credit card information and processed my payment. After several days of using my membership I had checked in and Alex had checked me in. I expressed some concerns to Alex regarding different pricing from different people and she took it personal that she lost a deal. Shortly after we parted ways and I continued on to my fitness class, remind you we left off at I “will not be referring anybody else and that now I know how she does business” and that was that. Hours later she emailed me stating that my membership would be canceled because she took our conversation personal because she was trying to get me to pay more money, but her co worker ended up fitting my needs with a membership plan. All in all, this situation is very unprofessional and unethical. I feel I have been targeted and discriminated against due to being the only Latina in the club I have noticed. I rather spend my money with a business that supports their customers and their fitness goals vs trying to rack up money from people.
The best work out classes in west loop! Short interval training guaranteed to make you sweat! Highly recommend!
I love this place! The instructors are great and the workouts are challenging. Everyday is different. They put in place all necessary precautions to make sure it is clean and safe. All attendees wear masks, equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every use, and there are shields in between all cardio machines. I have always felt safe and welcome here.Due to the current restrictions, there is open gym instead of group classes. Each open gym session still has a workout to follow and all necessary equipment. It is great!Crosstown fitness has done a great job adjusting to this crazy world we live in. I really enjoy this gym.
I got a great workout with CrossTown, the class was on schedule, and Tom was a great trainer with helpful corrections to my form!
I took one class via ClassPass and now I’m hooked and became a member! Trainers are great and correct my form when necessary. Overall awesome experience in the 3 weeks I’ve been attending.
Crosstown is a great gym! The trainers and staff are all very friendly and willing to help with anything if needed! The work outs are challenging and I leave accomplished after every visit to Crosstown :)
Love this gym. The workouts are great. Very sanitary and overall, I would definitely recommend this gym. The coaches are great at assisting with fo technique to eliminate pain in some personal cases.
Love this gym, the workouts are extremely challenging, trainers are energetic, and the gym itself is comfortable. I can accomplish here in an hour what would take me 2-3 hours at the gym by myself.

Great trainers, very knowledgeable, and taking several precautions during COVID to keep their space clean and safe for athletes.
The facility is nice and the location is great for individuals living in the west loop. For $200+ /mo I expected something more. This is a typical HIIT style boutique fitness studio (similar to a fit body bootcamp or orange theory class) heavily geared towards women’s fitness. Very limited strength training availability (almost exclusively offered in the very very early morning, or the middle of the day when young professionals are at work).If your fitness goals are solely being lean and toned I would highly recommend their HIIT class. I felt properly supported by the instructor, sufficiently motivated to push myself, but not pressured into being pushed past my limit. The gym has the art of HIIT down to a science. If that’s your only goal, you’ve found the right place.For the price point, I would expect this to be a one stop shop for fitness. There is only one platform in the entire gym, but they made space for 3 large single use bathrooms, and a child care center. It’s clear that the target audience is the suburban mom, not a young professional fitness enthusiast. They should market the gym as what it is.
Excellent gym for adults and kids, experienced or beginner. Great instructors and a variety of classes create a perfect opportunity to achieve your goals. Members are dedicated and friendly and the environment is very welcoming and unpretentious.
Everything about the CTF team and facilities makes me homesick. The only reason Im still not there every morning is because I moved out of state. Steven and the folks who run the place behind the scenes... Are nothing but accomodating and supportive! No matter if its just checking into a 5am class or a question via email, their responsiveness and positivity is radiating. They even helped me to come back easily on visits, to use my class package after my membership ended. All of the trainers Ive had the chance to work with and grow from - Amy, Stacy, Kathryn, Alysha, Joey, Danny, Jess, Jenna and on are hands down the best collection of people I love working out with and being around. I made a strong commitment to myself, to work out with your crew diligently (usually 6am North Side), to start at 3 times a week with my body aching every day and move up to 5-6 days a week. You each helped me accomplish a consistent goal in my life (and feel so fantastic and confident) during a time when my life was pure chaos and challenge personally. When things were just crumbling on a diligent basis... You helped me understand why I deserved at least an hour a day to be better. To take control of some unforseen goal and deliver and push it. I cannot explain to you enough what your team and place have meant to me and what it impacted me to drive forward in the rest of my life. Thank you over and over. CrossTown is the best gym in Chicago- everything from the workouts to the trainers to the owners, I cant say enough good things! Every single class is different which keeps things interesting and Ive never felt better in my life. Theyre amazing :)

I love to workout here. I wish they have hip thrusts machine (glutebuilder) and hack squat machine, but anyways everything else is fine. Staff members are so kind and welcoming.

I love CTF. All the trainers are amazing and always challenge me to be and do my best. They are always supportive and willing to help each of us individually meet our goals. I cannot say enough good things about this group of people and the community that they have created.
I LOVE going to Crosstown. They push you to get a great workout but youre also free to go at your own pace for a lot of the things you do. Everyone is accepting and the trainers show you how to do the exercises so youre never confused. The 45 minute classes go by so fast and I feel like my metabolism keeps burning fat for days after one class. You get a good kind of sore like you accomplished something. Every class is something different and each of the trainers have their own style but Ive loved every single one so far. Highly recommend.
Ive completed 5 classes at CrossTown Fitness and have loved every single one. I was an Orange Theory member for 3 years, and was tired of the same exercises, routine, and was lacking a challenge. I appreciate how CrossTown keeps each class new and exciting and the opportunity to continually push yourself at each class. Also - love the idea of the 30 min mobility classes. If you are doing CrossTown everyday, a 30 minute stretching/yoga class is a perfect way to relax your muscles.
Ive been trying to find a high intense workout in the west loop and Ive finally found it. This place is great if you want to get in shape and get a good workout in. The instructors are really friendly and willing to help. The workout facility is super clean and also has a smoothie bar which is great if you dont have time to eat right after your workout. Overall, love this place!
I dont have a lot of time to work out so I need to make my workouts count. I know that every class at CrossTown will leave me feeling strong, energized and sore the next day like a good workout should. The teachers always keep the exercises different and fast-moving so Im never bored - the workouts fly by!
The classes are always challenging and the workout changes everyday so you don’t get bored. The coaches are enthusiastic, clear with instruction and helpful with providing modifications. I would recommend CTF to anyone. Try it out!
I hit a slump, I retired from the military and my fitness schedule was all over the place... sometimes non existent. I experienced everything you can think of related to lack of fitness, sleep schedule was off, weight gain, moody and lack of flexibility. I attended the gym on one of their promotions for a few weeks and the feeling was amazing. I was sleeping away my soreness, getting excited for the classes and overall feeling great. The trainers are quick to help mid-class when your form is off, or give you a quick tip to help you go harder. My precious golf swing is back and doing well because the classes focus on a great variety of functional fitness. Feeling great mentally and physically because of CTF! Thanks!Eric V

Crosstown has been an amazing addition to my life! Its so convenient and flexible for working Moms trying to balance it all! Childcare for the morning classes is great, afternoon addition would be helpful at times. Love the easy of just showing up no thinking required to get in great work-outs throughout the week.
High intensity workouts led by energetic and motivating trainers. Class is different and challenging every time. They also do a great job of starting and ending exactly on time including warm up and cool down. Stations and exercises are explained well so you can maximize your workout time.
Best Group Studio and Personal Training in the city. This hybrid of cardiovascular and strength training is scalable, fun and challenging. I get my butt kicked everything. But I love it! They also have just strength, mobility and running classes. I have 2 kids and the child care is perfect for me to drop off while I train. 5 stars
Very challenging workout and a little bit different than anything else Ive done before. I thought I was in okay shape from doing yoga and barre classes but once I got to this class I realized that was not so much the case. The instructor was very positive and encouraging though and even sent me a note after the class which was nice! I will definitely be returning for more classes!
Great environment with awesome teachers and challenging classes. This is a gym perfect for all levels. Although classes are tough, teachers never expect you to go past your limits. Modifications are always suggested. I always leave drenched in sweat and feeling stronger. Ive been coming here 3-4 times a week for almost 3 weeks now and can already see and feel a difference in my body!
Clean workout facility with an extremely welcoming staff! Each workout is unique, usually consisting of 4-5 stations with different HIIT exercises. The 50-minutes classes move by quickly with the various exercises, upbeat music, and friendly, helpful instructors. I would highly recommend!

Ive loved my experience at Crosstown Fitness. The trainers there are extremely helpful and patient. They make sure to curate workouts that can be done by a wide variety of participants. The structure is easy to follow, and you get a ton of cardio in while building full body strength at the same time.

This gym really is great for all levels. Each workout is new and challenging. Fast paced group classes may seem big, but the instructors still manage to give one on one encouragement. I have a knee injury and they are great at giving modified options. It is a really fun class that flies by. They have healthy foods options in the gym if you are running to or from work, and the staff is always helpful. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their fitness at any level. It is all about how hard you push yourself.
As a beginner, I was afraid I would get left behind and not get the full experience. My first class was with Shannon and she was so encouraging! She even showed me ways to modify certain exercises I wasn’t completely ready for. This way I still got the full experience, but at a more comfortable and safe way! All the other instructors have been the same. Love love love!!

I love CTF West Loop! I bought a one month unlimited to check them out and Im obsessed so far! The classes are very challenging but after a few you get the hang of it and want to keep coming back! No class is ever the same, which keeps you motivated and ensures you work new muscles in your body! Im already seeing results, which I havent after working out at other gyms/studios for a year in the past! I highly recommend it!
Clean and simply a great HIIT workout. Expert instructors that know what they are doing and are actively checking your form. I also enjoy that no workout is ever the same!
I’ve been taking classes here for the past month, and I like it a lot. Great space, nice people, and good music. The trainers are very motivating. No class is the same and variety is great for the muscles. If your form is off, the coach will come by and let you know. They do a great job at preventing injury. I highly recommend CTF

My husband and I did CTF in the West Loop for a month and loved it. The instructors are all awesome. Lots of class times. Saturdays get full quickly, but the weekday 5am class is always available. Even though there are only a couple types of classes, we thought the variety at each class was great and we learned a ton of new exercises. Things can get pretty crowded as classes transition from one to the next, but the studio is always clean. This location has childcare, not sure about the other locations. The only reason we didnt continue our membership (and 4 instead of 5 stars) was due to cost.

I love the classes at CTF! As a competitive runner I am always trying to find a balance of workouts that will compliment my cardio and protect me from injuries. These classes are challenging, fun, safe, and the atmosphere is so friendly and encouraging. I highly recommend.

It is so fast paced and motivating! I never get bored, so it does not seem nearly as bad as it could! Everyone is so kind. The other people in the class as well as the employees. The trainers are always ready and willing to modify moves to help with some lower back problems I have.
Challenging, but feels great. I like the 30 second intervals because it makes the time pass quickly, and for tougher exercises, the end is in sight and it makes me push myself for that amount of time. Awesome variety of moves, too!
Crosstowns classes are always different keeping the workouts interesting. The trainers all bring a lot of energy to the table promoting an overall great customer experience. Everyone is able to benefit from the workouts no matter what level they may be at in their personal fitness goals.
I just moved back to Chicago and to the West Loop and was looking for a class that would really work me hard! I have certainly met my match here at CTF.I like that every work out is different. It is usually stations with intervals, but that is exactly the workout I love. Ive also met a few people in the classes, as I think the gym does a great job of promoting a sense of community. All the trainers are great so you cant go wrong with what class you take.

I definitely love CrossTown Fitness. I like the different approach to working out in an environment that is suitable to both men and women without having the crossfit feel. Plus, all of the trainers are amazing and so nice. It is a great place to get pushed beyond your individual comfort levels.

Whether its full body or strength, I always walk away extremely satisfied about my workout. The instructors are very approachable, encouraging and know what theyre doing. The classes fly by and are always different from one another.
Instructors are knowledgeable and motivating. Classes are grueling, but dont be afraid, all the work outs can be done at your own pace. Wish I still lived in Chicago so I could take advantage of everything CTF has to offer!

This is one of the best workouts you’ll do all week! The classes are structured to focus on every part of your body and unlike other HITT style classes where the norm is to go through the motion to finish the set, CTF makes sure you are doing each motion with the correct form. Staff is incredibly friendly and the workouts leaving you tired and strong.
Clean facility, excellent trainers, non repetitive workouts, fun group setting, positive vibes, and challenging workouts are just a few of the reasons I continue to attend CTF

Killer workouts, welcoming trainers. Whenever I am in the west Loop for work, I head over to CTF for their noon workout class. Whatever it is, its challenging but fun, and I feel amazing afterwards. Wish there was one out in the burbs where I live!
Love this place! They offer hour-long high-intensity interval workouts all day long, 7 days per week. I love that every class is different, so you never get bored. They also use mostly basic equipment found at any gym, so you can learn new moves that you can replicate on your own. The instructors are also very high energy and definitely get your motivated, and are also happy to help you modify workouts during class if you let them know your limitations in advance (i.e., if youre recovering from an injury). Ive also received great customer service from them when I was injured and some class credits expired. They also offer personal training sessions, I took one complimentary once which kicked my butt!!!

I had just signed up for ClassPass and needed to find an early Saturday morning class. This Total Body class with Dawn just worked out for my schedule which is how I ended up at CrossTown Fitness. From the outside the place looks as if its a cafe with tables and chairs on the outdoor patio. When you walk in there is more seating, a smoothie bar, and healthy snacks available. Behind the counter is where there are treadmills, equipment and weights.Dawn made a point to introduce herself to me since it was my first time there. For this class she set up four stations and we cycled through each station once. Dawn is very friendly and gave a lot of encouragement during the workout to the entire class and by calling out individuals by name which is meaningful small touch. She also walked around to help correct form with individuals. Before I knew it class was over, I was drenched in sweat and exhausted. I was glad I was able to try TRX for the first time as well. The location isnt ideal for me, but I want to try more classes at CrossTown.The Best of CrossTown Fitness:-spacious facility-instructor engaged and very attentive-the variety of workouts makes class go by quickly

Hands down the best gym in Chicago. They offer HIIT training, and focus on total body and strength classes throughout the week. The mobility classes are also great since a focus on stretching is key when performing this type of workout. I love the instructors, they are top notch, and their ability to keep it interesting by mixing up workouts. Im in amazing shape thanks to CTF!
After trying countless gyms and personal trainers, I have finally found a place I am excited to go to and get a solid workout every time. I love that all of the classes are different and all of the trainers have such energy. The motivation CTF trainers give is second to none!

Crosstown is a great neighborhood studio to find your strength. I’ve done 8 workouts here and every one has tested me in new ways, always with sore muscles the next day - a good sign for a good variety of challenging workouts!
