The wait was very long, but they were very friendly and professional. They took care of our dog same day while other places were booked for weeks. Its appointment only, so get there early for less wait. The team looks like they are working non-stop too, so be friendly. Its also nice to see a neighborhood vet instead of corporate owned places that are taking over. Thank you for your help!

I called to retrieve the records for my puppy (who had visited once for his first round of shots and we never went back) three times. Twice I was placed on hold for over ten minutes and could hear everything going on, including the lady who answered the phone being extremely rude and unprofessional with a heavy attitude. At one point she even told the dog crying in the back to “shut up.” Once I was hung up on, and another time I was told to call back 30 minutes later because they didn’t have the time to help at the moment. I understand short staffing, but there was no level of professionalism in any of the minimal correspondence. I still haven’t gotten the records or had a chance to speak with anyone.

I love this place. Highly recommend. I have 5 furr babies have been bringing them all here for the past 3 yrs. Had all my furr babies fixed here and shots. Price is unbeatable. Friendly and fast service.

I went to get mine and my boyfriends cat neutered because my primary vet was very expensive for a time like this. Although everyone is nice, they did not inform me as much as my primary vet did when we took our first cat to the vet. It’s been 2 days and my cat is depressed and his incision looks horrible. He received no stitches, which is odd because an open wound can obviously get infected. I picked my cat up and sat in the car for about 15 minutes making sure he’s okay, he had turned around in his carrier and I seen his incision was bleeding, I called and they said that they cleaned him before giving him to me but it looked unclean and the blood looked dry. The office was as well very dirty and it didn’t look like a vet you would take your cats to, they cater to dogs not to cats. I definitely will not be coming here ever again. I would not recommend it either. Another thing was they cut my cats claws even though I said it’s not necessary and they did and they cut them extremely short.

I was very sceptical with my decision to let my pitbull here for his earcropping but the doctors did an awesome job, i am very happy with the final results. My boy looks awesome. Make sure you stick to exactley what you need when you go there as they will try to talk you in more service for your pet.

Took my 12 week puppy for a 2nd round of shots. I asked the doctor a question about her ears and he said they were fine . Then he offered to show me how to clean my puppys ears, also he offered to show me how far to cut the nails on my pup. He didnt not sanitize nothing no gloves also used the wrong nail trimmer meant for large dogs on a puppy . Hurting her blood coming out of the nail. Then charging me 70$ for the advice. So unprofessional will not be coming back here agian. They have no signs up saying what they charge and for what service. If i wouldve know i was gonna get ripped off for asking a question, wouldve took my pup somewere else. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!

-Long waiting times (1hour and more),regardless to appts. or walk-ins.-Rude customer service. The male doctor was horrible to his staff (yelling at them in front of customers) and his appearance was disheveled and dirty, he was constantly ordering people around.-They don’t provide information to new customers such as “we’re charging for something” with no explanation upfront, “ just wait to see the charges on your account”....-And the shots took every bit of 2 minutes after waiting 2+ hours my first time going and 1.5 hours the second time.

Terrible...If I could give negative stars I would, They lost my dogs records of shots, and gave me an incorrect re-written record in a pamphlet. The assistant said she gave my dogs record to another patient on accident. The staff is Ukrainian or polish and they are never able to understand anything I ask and are always rude...I am happy I moved my dog to another vet but this new vet, upon receiving records from delta said they missed on giving him two vaccinations...and Delta told me he was fully vaccinated!!! I am beyond dissapointed..My dog contracted kennel cough twice as well, probably because he wasnt fully vaccinated as they said he was..SMH...Terrible!

My god passed away late in the day and doctor was so kind and waited me to bring my dog after hours. The staff was very kind. Also doctor gave me a good price for service.I also have two cats and I definitely coming back.

I was so disappointed by this establishment. I called in advanced and asked questions about their availability. My dog had hurt herself so I wanted to be seen sooner than later plus she needed her yearly vaccines. The lady who I spoke on the phone with told me to come in and call her once I got outside. Due to the pandemic, they can only accept one patient at a time. When I arrived, I did exactly what I was told. She took my information down and told me the wait should be no longer than 20 mins. When I got off the phone I noticed a white man pulled up in his van. I didnt think much of it. After about 30 mins I called, she then informed me that there was now two people ahead of me (The woman who was already there before me ) and now a man, which is the white man who pulled up after me. Keep in mind, all of these are walk ins. The lady told me they were not accepting appointments anymore, which I thought made no sense by the way.After another hour, I finally got out the car. By this time the white man was no longer in his vehicle and was instead being seen by the vet. There was an older white woman with two dogs waiting outside the place. When the white man finally walked out, the older woman walked in. I was expecting thing them to call me. But of course they never did. When. I called to ask why they have now let two people in front of me they could not provide any reasoning. They only kept telling me I am next. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was busy. All the while, my dog is in pain. I eventually left after wasting an hour and a half of my time and went to another hospital.I will Never come back here again. They are not welcoming of certain guest. If they cant guest what you look you like through the phone, dont waste your time.

Had a great experience. Called around to get my Dobermans ears cropped. They had a great price and were really friendly over the phone. The drive is about 1.45 hrs from where I live so finding the right place was key.When I arrived I was slightly late and was greeted with nothing but smiles. The vet isn’t ultra modern but that’s the entire area. It smells and feels like my dogs general doc, so I felt confident in the level of service and cleanliness.They handled and treated my dog with care, obviously they do like the animals they work with.I was called and given a Update the following morning and picked my guy up with ease. I will be returning for other services even with the drive.His ears were clean and wrapped nicely, they did not come loose from his running around or shaking his head.-BTW, I wasn’t upsold or tried to get anything besides what I directly asked for, which is a nice touch, and the quote I got in store was exactly the same price I was told over the phone.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of the passing of my beloved cat Mumpsey who was 14 years old. This time has been very hard for me and my family. I want to thank Dr. Luka and her staff for their kindness and care of my cat during his last few months.

I had an emergency situation with a sick cat that was impossible to handle. Delta Animal Hospital was willing to take on my case when other clinics were not. The vets were knowledgeable and competent. I am grateful for the services they provided.

My family has been taking our pets to Delta for over 30years. That is correct 30 years. The place might not be all fancy but they do know what they are doing when it comes to animals. Which is what I want in a vet. My Max is my baby and he needs a good vet. Not a pretty office. The prices here are very good as well. I recommend you checking them out.

Dr. Luka is a very good Dr. For my pets she is very patient and so kind. I really like her formy baby Brandi. I would deeply recommend her to any pet lover.

I paid $50 to have my dog bathed and he came out looking the worst hes ever looked after a bath. It seemed like there was still a lot of product left on him and he smelled so strong that it triggered my asthma and I had to rinse him off at home. His skin was also super red and it looks like he was brushed very aggressively. I will not be bringing any of my pets here again.

Absolutley dont go here! I was there on Wednesday, told the doctor that my dog was yelping, tucking his tail, and dragging his lower body on the ground. He tried to say, that he was in pain and gave me medicine. Mind you it didnt work! Before I went back, my friends mom works as veterinarian, therefore I asked her opinion. When I told her and sent her the video, right away she said it could possibly be intervetbal disk disease. Then I went back on Saturday and told him that I have a video. He basically didnt want to see the video. Then he tried to say it was speration anxiety. Gave me pills to give my dog that were such a waste of time and money. Please tell me, how Dr. Luka wasnt able to tell my dog could possibly have intervertebral disk disease but my friends mom who didnt even get to check the dog out herself was able to tell me what he can possibly have. Im disgusted wasted $190 dollars for absolutely nothing. Please, dont go to this place. On top of that, on Saturday when I wanted to confront the Doctor, the receptionist was about to pass me to him mind you I can hear him in the back, she asked for my number so he can call me back and what happens? Never called. After all that I decied to take my dog to medvet which they did a full examination on him to determine jf he can possibly have that, and the next step is MRI. Medvet actually does pay attention to your pets and see the possibilities of what they can have. Medvet told me to do a follow up with this vet or go back to them, but Im going back to Medvet or a different vet. I advise you to be careful where you go and who you trust. Absolutely never going back there ever again!

This place is really dirty and needs some major updating, found hair on the exam table when waiting in the exam room. They didn’t want to cut my dogs nails without sedating him, no tech was available so by the end of the appointment I was covered in hair, drool, ear medication, bruises and cuts. If I knew I would end up doing half the work I would have taken him to a place that actually did their job fully including restraining him. If you want full service at the vet this is not the place for you. On the plus side, the receptionist is really nice.

Dr. Luka is an outstanding vet who is super friendly and great with dogs. She has consistently provided great care for our Labradoodle for the past 7 years. Delta is a great local business with fair pricing for veterinary services. Highly recommend!

Always quick, easy, and affordable. Ive had to take my cat in three times within the last month for different reasons (fleas, a rash, and a cold) and theyve always been efficient and friendly. The location is convenient to me and just being able to walk in makes taking care of my pet so much easier.

Did a check online and they had their license suspended in 2011 for cleanliness issues. Avoid.Office was super unclean and the vet seemed to hate cats.Dont understand why anyone would bring their pet to a place like this in good conscience.

The doctors and staff are AMAZING here. My dog has been going here for quite some time and every single time we have taken him we have received nothing but great help. From yearly vaccinations to surgeries, they absolutely know what they are doing.My Pomeranian had to have a very invasive surgery; we made an appointment, brought him in, they called us later that day for an update, and because of these qualified vets, we got to take him home the same day.Every time I take my dog here I know he is in good hands! :)

I called yesterday and asked if I could make an appointment for the following day. They said I wouldn’t need to that I could walk in at any time. I left work early to take my cat and they are closed unexpectedly.

If i can give a 0 rating i would I took my dogs there to get groom and shots as I waiting my male dog pee and the Dr which is an older woman cant speak proper English rolled her eyes She said my dogs would be sedated when i went to pick them up they look normal and scared like they been abuse i bring them home they were extremely scared didnt wanna go out wanted to sleep in bed with me and my husband for comfort I WILL NEVER TAKE THEM THERE ILL keep them with portage pk as they show the animals love I will be reporting this place and all other that deal with them shame on me trying to go a cheap route ill spend money to assure my dogs safety

This place saved our cats life!! He had a blocked urine track with a tangerine size blater and every veterinarian we checked was too expensive for my family. When we checked Delta Animal Hospital they were thousands of dollars cheaper and we were able to get help to pay for the procedure and the days of after care.Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!PS dont worry that the place doesnt have thousands of dollars in new furniture and decorations it goes towards cheaper services. They are good at what they do too!!

Horrible place. I went there twice and I would never go back there. They did surgery for my cat one year ago. And they did it wrong. After a few weeks later cyst began to grow again on the stomach. I went to another hospital called West Side animal hospital. It turned out that the owner of the hospital is the same. This people should not work there, they should not be doctors.I went to Delta hospital second time with my cat Bella. My husband found her on the street and I thought she is pregnant so I came there to make sure. They checked her for 1minute and said:yes,she is pregnant, we will give you vitamins for her. But my cat wasnt pregnant. Im just shocked. This people just care about money. They are not a doctors. Please dont go there never!!! They are not good people

I’ve been coming here since the last 80’s and the doctor knows his stuff, no the clinic is a no frils kind of place, but is that what matters? What matters is my pets and their care, and they have always gotten great care, and you can’t beat his prices! Hence the no frills, if you want fancy decor then you will pay for it. Me I go for quality of the vet!

Dr. Luka and his daughter do I need to say more. They are a family taking care of your family with all the love and care they deserve. The Doctors where excellent!! I called to get a quote in price in regards to my Dobormans cropped ears being infected and my dog was in horrible pain. He ript his ear post and was bleeding and broke some stiches. I could not believe price the receptionist gave me, it was a third of the price that The rest of the vet office in Chicago gave me. In addition The receptionist truly sound consern about the situation and was very polite, when I heard the price the Doctor gave her when she asked. I could almost start crying. I was not able to afford taking him in to the other locations and I thought my baby had to continue suffering until the weekend came because I could not afford to have him seen.The doctor that did the job can not be contacted until the weekend. This should of been a red flag. Beware when you receive only weekend hours because the doctor I went to did a horrible job. He taped over the ear that was just cropped by him but since this is our first time getting this done we did not know. This caused our dog to suffer he did not give no pain or infection prevention medicine.The Doctors took turns caring for my baby and they gave him medicine it was truly beautiful how much love they have for my baby and the other pets they seen. The other customers where happy and so where the pets.😁May God bless Dr. Lukas and his daughter and everything they do. They truly care about your pet family members

This place is terrible unprofessional and unsanitary! Nothing is clear on what’s going on, God forbid you have questions it’s like asking them for too much. The lady at the front desk literally rolled her eyes and walked off on me without letting me finish asking a question. Every visit gets worse I only stayed so that my puppy could do his last shot with them, I will never come back and I don’t recommend you wasting your time visiting or giving them your money

They do really good ear cropping. However, they have random employee’s with little to no veterinary training doing things such as removing of stitches and giving out medicine. They couldn’t even count out the right amount of medicine, I was supposed to get 14 pills for 2x a day for my pup on Saturday, and here it is Tuesday and I only have 2 pills left. Whatever anesthesia shot they used to put him is terrible, as it has caused numerous spots of necrotic skin to develop all over his shoulders and neck that he didnt have prior to going to their facility. And, they can’t even be bothered to call you back to give the details on what drug they used and how much of it they administered. I will *never* go back there, and I would recommend anyone with a pet to find somewhere else to take them. I have pictures of the tissue, but can’t post for some reason(besides it’s pretty nasty).

Id been going to Delta for a couple of years. This place is absolutely fine if all you need are shots to keep your animals legal. That said...I took two Blue Heelers in for their regular checkups / shots. The older one had a weak appetite, the other had some pretty bad looking teeth in the back. She suggested I clean both of their teeth; the older one had a weak appetite because he had dirty teeth and food didnt taste good, the younger one just needed his teeth cleaned... Based on blood work she couldnt clean the older ones teeth and just prescribed some special dog food. The other we agreed should have his teeth cleaned and two teeth needed to come out. She did the cleaning but couldnt pull the teeth, she said come back in a year and wed try again...The older ones appetite didnt improve and two weeks later the older one died in his sleep. He was old, Im willing to accept that might have happened even with a better exam.The scathing review is in regards to the younger one. Those two teeth she didnt pull- became infected a month later. He ended up in the emergency room with sepsis. A very expensive emergency surgery later and hes on the road to recovery.It was my fault for trusting her and not seeking a second opinion on the little ones teeth. I guess the best I can tell you is, if youre looking for cheap annual shots- go Delta; for real check ups/issues- go to a real vet.

I posted the RomeoRockwell post I am the owner and today I payed for the service of cremation and paw print of my pet my payment was taken then I was notified later today that my pet was released to All paws cremation and rememberance services and cremated with a group of animals so all they could do was reimburse me 105$ that I paid I said as a tech they should have been tagged along with information requesting cremation and urn with paw print and return to owner the doctor could only apologize now having to explain this to my ten year old son who has been crying nonstop asking on the return of his ashes I asked if she released my pet she said no she wasnt sure who the person who came was as they were new and came early to collect deceased animals still someone had to have seen the paperwork and or someone authorized release she further stated she didnt believe that the male or female had said what I posted so after such a horrible experience this just added and my pet was not returned and those two are still employed after treating people in such a way. IM SORRY IS ALL I WAS TOLD AND THEY ARE STILL EMPLOYED BECAUSE THE FATHER SAID THEY (The two assistants who treated us so vulgar and aggressive)ARE UNEDUCATED AND WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIND WORK IF I LET THEM GO so that justifies their actions Im appalled and will reach out to an attorney they know what they did. And now I will not have my pet back my son is completely distraught inconsolable.

My sister had a horrible experience here. If I could give no stars I would. She bought her fur baby to be put down so he would no longer suffer and during her visit she was treated unacceptable. Her baby had been experiencing cardiac issues and was told by other vets that his quality of life was poor. She decided to go to this facility and get another opinion in addition to the opinion her baby had been having these episodes where he would fall over so she wanted to have him checked out. The vet was very professional the first visit and offered vitamins but ultimately that would not improve his quality of life. My sister made the heartbreaking decision to put him down. While there the front desk associates/vet techs(I think thats their title) a female with heavy tattoos and a Hispanic male began making inappropriate comments about my sisters decision. My sister heard everything and told the vet. The vet spoke with the employees but they continued with a very hostile attitude. My sister left with her children at her side and called to tell me of the experience. I later called the facility and told them I would like to purchase a paw print and have his ashes. I personally spoke with Dr. Luka and she said that would be fine. She drew up a form and I told her I would see her Friday. She explained that dog would not be picked up until the following Tuesday. It was Wednesday when we spoke. My sister went in on Friday and paid and the same lady in the front who acted inappropriately (the one who is heavily tattooed) gave my sister in incomplete receipt. My sister left and called me and I told her to go back and have her fill it out correctly so as to avoid further problems. I than get a phone call from Dr. Luka explaining that the dog was unfortunately picked up and was group cremated and we would not be able to get his ashes. She said the dog was picked up that Friday morning and she believes someone new was working because thats how the mix up occurred. She did not want to disclose who signed over the dog from her office to the cremation pick up employee and was basically staying it was the fault of the employees of the cremation services. I than proceeded to call the cremation services office and the OWNER stated no pick up was ever done on that Friday. He said they pick up on Tuesday and have ALWAYS picked up on Tuesdays. He even went as far as to explain to me that Dr. Luka called TWICE and both times they explained to her that the dog was not there. When confronted she basically told me we needed to proceed with her legal team!! So we had a horrible experience followed up with an egregious one thereafter. The staff is not fit to deal with customers let alone ones who are dealing with such a pain staking decision and the vet is by far the biggest disappointment we have ever encountered. INTEGRITY- THE QUALITY OF BEING HONEST AND HAVING STRONG MORAL PRINCIPLES. Dr. Luka and staff, maybe if provided the definition you would act accordingly in the future. To everyone reading this review PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR BABIES HERE IF YOU CHERISH THEM THEY WAY WE CHERISHED OUR BELOVED CHETO. I NEVER leave reviews and this experience called for a detailed review.

This place is disgusting. I took my dog on Sunday because he was very sick with diarrea, and that doctor did nothing. They charged me $40 dollars just for telling me that I needed to take my dog to a real hospital, because they are not an emergency place. Even thought they are not an emergency place they should not charge just for telling you that.Furthermore, there was hair on the floor from other dogs and smells horrible! That place is really dirty.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!!!! I wish my sister should have learned her lesson the first time she went to this “animal hospital” but unfortunately that mistake cost her her dogs life. The first time we went here the front staff was clueless and rude. We brought two of my dogs there for shots and a teeth cleaning. They pulled my dogs tooth when all we wanted was for her teeth to be cleaned. Then a few weeks later I called to have the vet send over the medical records so my dog can be groomed and they sent over the wrong ones. I called and was put on hold multiple times because they couldn’t figure out who my dog was and they kept confusing her with my other dog even though they are both very different breeds and very different colors. Come to find out they never gave her shots in the first place. Unfortunately the last time my sister brought her dog here he didn’t make it and the vet did little to nothing to prevent that from happening. Jax came in after throwing up blood and Dr. Joseph Luca (who has multiple cases of investigation under his belt) gave him vitamin K, charged my sister $130 (estimated), and sent them on their way. It wasn’t until later that Jax’s health declined and my sister decided to take him to a different vet who determined that he should go to the emergency vet but wouldn’t make it through the trip. Not one time throughout my sisters visit did they tell her to go the the emergency vet because this was serious. Instead Joseph gave some bs medicine to get Jax out of the way and make some money. Joseph also forged Jax’s medical records. The records my sister left with stated that they should give it 24hrs before they take Jax to the emergency vet but the records that were sent over to the new vet stated that she refused to take him to the emergency vet. Completely not true!!!! Joseph refused to speak to my sister when she asked for her money back and came to talk to him about what happened, he constantly rolled his eyes. The worst part is that he showed no remorse and kept saying “well is he alive though?” The answer is NO! We lost a member of our family because of this “vets” negligence. Please don’t bring your animals here.

Took my do there a week ago, I was a little skeptical about the place at first glance, but I was greeted by a friendly staff, the doctor seemed to immediately know what was wrong with my pet. The icing on the cake is how affordable they are.

Unfortunately place isnt organized. Lost records of my dog. And thought my dog would be ok, but turns out my dog is still doing bad. So have to take my dog to another clinic to ensure hes ok.

I was very concern on my dog getting his ears cropped. I am saying a nervous wreck and was my dog in good hands? Well, beside a price error, which his daughter corrected with no problem 4☆☆☆☆. Also, the receptionist Malissa is very friendly 4 Star ☆☆☆☆ and any concerns talk to her. The doctor Luke 4 Star☆☆☆☆ was straight forward on which cropping would fit my dog best. The office is not the fanciest 3 Star ☆☆☆.But, that does not matter to me the care of my dog was my main concern.The Customer Service 4 Star ☆☆☆☆ amazing, The care for your loved one is 4Star ☆☆☆☆,The after care was 4 Star ☆☆☆☆ on point. They gave antibiotics and pain medication and over night stay for your pet. Everything, that was expected from a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ star Animal Hospital. I did have to ask, when can my dog eat after surgery and his next dosage of pain medication once at home as a parent, you have to ask questions regardless. But, in my opinon price are affordable. When my dog was a puppy, I took him to PetSmart. I was not happy with Pet Smart prices and their unprofessional staff. After, my bad experience at Petsmart a friend referred me to Delta Animal Hospital. Thanks to him, I have found my dogs doctor. Delta Hospital works with you in care of your pet. Also, I drove them crazy with calls & questions before surgery and after. They, were always pleasant. I will keep you guys posted on how, Deltas handles my dogs after home recovery. I live all the way in Naperville/ Aurora area and would rather make the drive to Delta than have any of my 3 dogs treated by these overpriced vets out here.. Dr Luka and her staff are accurate and to the point when it comes to the health of Debo, Phat Marlee and Grumpus.. Quality pet care with no frills.. GREATLY appreciated..

Detail Animal Hospital took well care of my pet Duke for a much less price than these other shady vets are charging. I will continue to drive to Delta no matter how far.

This animal hospital is not maintained to an acceptible standard for the care of your pet. I would not visit this office for shots, and I would not trust this staff with regular diagnoses or any complicated procedures.Originally, I took my pets to this animal hospital because it was close-by, and as current and recent graduate students, my husband and I were under considerable economic limitations while caring diligently for our two beloved pets. On our first visit to Delta Animal Hospital in 2010, I did have doubts. However, they seemed reliable, and we liked that they were so close to our home for regular care and potential emergencies.Many years later, I moved back to Chicago and returned to this hospital with one of my pets who theyd seen multiple times years before. I returned in part because I didnt have a relationship with another vet office in the area and new places were booked. Delta Animal Hospital seemed like a good choice because I had been there many times before, and they accepted walkins. I knew my pet had records there, and I believed it was a good idea to return.In my older years, I can now identify that this animal hospital is not attuned to the specific needs of small pets. They are not accustomed to pets with sensitivities, and they are not sensitive to the special needs of animals with digestive problems. The environment is not kept up, the facilities are not acceptible, the exams are quick, and the doctor and staff are not fully present while conducting procedures. They seem to be confident about administering care, but I doubt this is the case. Additionally, there is not adequate explanation given from the staff on how to care for your pet upon returning home.In closing, whatever your reasons are for considering the choice of a vet, please do your research and trust your instincts. Its hard to know what to do in pressing situations, but prepare ahead and try not to settle on a place because they are close or youve seen them before. Trust yourself on these important decisions, and youll become better at making good choices for your pets.

Been going to Delta for years, Dr Luka in my opinion is the best vet I have ever encountered, its time for a visit being that Im gettiing a puppy for the kids Nov 1

It I can give them 0 stars I would they did such a terrible job grooming my dog they cut all her hair off and tried to over charge me . The dogs stay in terrible living conditions
