Incredibly trustworthy and caring professionals — and you can tell they genuinely love animals. Our fur baby (dog), Baxter is a regular patient here; but this morning, we had to take him suddenly in for GI upset. The team worked to squeeze him in for a drop off assessment. Even though I had to rush to work, the vet called and gave me a thorough assessment by phone so I felt like I didn’t miss anything! Whether for routine or urgent care, this team always give excellent service.

I just adopted, Myu and so appreciated that the Animal Care League (ACL) had a recommendation for vetenary services. And from our first appointment, I know were in good hands

Lori, is the best groomer. She really takes care of my fur babies. And very attentive. Once, during a grooming she noticed something wrong with one of my pets ears. She immediately informed the doctor. He was able to be seen the same day and received the medication needed.

I knew since I got my puppy in the beginning of the year I wanted to get her the best care I could. Somewhere I can keep taking her so she can be stable, where the vet can keep her records since the beginning. I googled many places and this one definitely caught my eye. The many good reviews it already has said a lot & they are definitely helpful, tell you everything and keep you in the loop especially with the pandemic. They even have their own app, it’s amazing. Definitely recommend.

Companion Animal Hospital is a great vet! They are so amazing with our Voltaire! He is always so excited to visit them. They are extremely responsive and always follow up! I have been searching for animal hospitals for the past few days and I came across this location. I’ve seen the good amount of reviews and decided to make an appointment for my fur baby’s vaccines. They’re so helpful! And super sweet and knowledgeable. My dog was super nervous before entering and came out happy!

The staff was respectful of our time; and very nice to my pup! This was my first visit with a brand new puppy... the doctor explained what the result of her examination was very clearly; answered my questions and let me know next steps. Really appreciated the way the staff and doctor took care of both of us!

Dr. Kung is an excellent Veterinarian. She takes good care of my dog, Snowball. After Snowball visits Dr. Kung, she checks on him to find out how he is doing, and she answers all of my questions.Dr. Cheryl is also an excellent Veterinarian.Ms.Lori, the groomer is an experienced and excellent groomer who examines my dog before she grooms him. She asks me what type of cut I want for my dog.

Our normal vet was booked up solid when our 1 year old puppy, Peter, started coughing. It was a Friday afternoon so I didnt want to wait and end up at the emergency vet over the weekend.Sure enough - kennel cough! All the staff were very sweet with him and Dr. Schoessow was really great with explaining our options and how to get him feeling better.Also COVID-19 protocols were in place so everyone was masked and they came to get our baby from the car in PPE, did payment over the phone, etc.Pic of our happy boy.

My cat doesn’t run away when I say vet. I would say that’s a great sign that the vet is very loving and caring towards their patients.

All three of my pets have health issues and Dr. Cheryl (as well as the other vets, techs, and office staff) are always friendly and responsive when I have a million questions. They always review all possible costs BEFORE doing anything so I can make the decision that is best for my financial situation. My pup and one of my cats are pretty wild and the doctors and techs have been really great with them. I don’t know anyone in this area, but if I did or if anyone asked, I’d definitely recommend Companion Animal Hospital of Oak Park (and especially Dr. Cheryl!).

This clinic has a super awesome team of caring and compassionate staff. Their demeanor towards me was friendly, patient, and understanding, while taking great care of my elderly cat. The doctor and the nurse was professional and took the time to answer all of my questions, and was willing to work with me on a plan of action for the best care of my cat. They also kept me posted on results from the lab. Also they send me friendly reminders of next appointments. I couldnt asked for a better veterinarian clinic. I highly recommend it.

As a first time cat owner, the staff and doctors were attentive and compassionate. During this pandemic, the procedures to ensure safety were put well into place. We were required to call when we were in the parking lot, then a masked staff member came out to retrieve our cats and take them inside to establish routine care and receive vaccinations. When their physical exams were done, the doctor gave me a call with an update, explaining all the required health checks and what was done. Very attentive, friendly staff. I am happy to have found such caring, professional vets!

They were helpful with the information but this place is overly pricey for just grooming. It’s $95 dollars for just a shave on a 1 year old short fur cat. Not worth it.

Coral my Lab and Venus both had appointments and did great. My brother dropped them off and not long after they called to let me know about both. Coral has an ear infection and Venus has a UTI. Both were caught early. I can smell the ear and urine. Blind but I have great nose. The Vet treated both with medication and I dont have to do anything. Coral will go back in 2 weeks for follow up. Thank you so much.

I took 2 cats I adopted from St.Sophia’s Forgotten Felines for a wellness check. Dr. Kung and Sarah (sorry if incorrect spelling) were attentive and thorough, and explained their progress during the assessment and plan. The curbside safety precautions had me apprehensive the cats would be unhappy when back home, but they went back to their normal routine despite their Vet trip. Very pleased!

I came in for a complimentary check up and Dr Kung told me that everything was great. She recommended some products for teeth cleaning and I have to make an appointment for another appointment in December. It went very very well!

Well since covid sucks and I couldn’t go in with my poor shaking nervous baby I knew she was in good hands. The doc called me while I was waiting and took time to explain everything and address my concerns as a first time dog mom. That is so much appreciated since most human docs rush you and act like your questions are a waste of their time. The services all together were a bit pricey since I got some prescriptions but I want my baby to be nice and healthy! Will definitely keep coming back.

The staff at CAH-OP are some of the most patient and caring staff I’ve encountered. My cat needed a minor surgery while I was out of town, and I’ve received photo updates during her stay with them, as well as photos of the surgical procedure that was done. They truly care about making you and your pet comfortable. They answered all of my questions (and there were many!) honestly and kindly, and I can not recommend them enough ☺️

After our vet who made house calls retired, we brought our cat here. They were very professional and efficient. The doctor spent at least 15 minutes going over all the details of the results of the exam. Although I had to wait in the car because of Covid, she made sure I knew everything she did and what the results were. We just found our new vet!

Dr. Kung is great! She always follows up after my dog has an illness and takes time to answer all your questions. My dog also goes to Lori for grooming. He’s a rescue and very fearful but Lori helps him feel more comfortable and does a really cute haircut!

There really isnt enough great things to say. Their service is impeccable, their staff is knowledgeable, and the way they treat my little doodle is amazing! I am SO happy that we found this vet and the level of care and concern they have makes me so happy! I would recommend them to EVERYONE! I would also recommend Lori! We took our Goldendoodle to her for a cut because most places say theyre booked or they stopped taking Doodles (like what is that?!). Anyway, Lori took her time, she worked with our Doodle and instead of just shaving him (like other places have done), she gave him a beautiful puppy cut and did EXACTLY what we wanted. She was sweet, patient, and caring, which is exactly what I expected because that is experience weve had every single time we come here. I am so happy we found Lori and Companion Animal Hospital because I know our little fur baby is ALWAYS in good hands!

I’ve been taking my dog there for A little more than 5 years and pray as long as he and I live there’s no need to change again. Dr. Cheryl is WONDERFUL and very knowledgeable & compassionate with my dog. She has help me figure ways of calming him because he’s not use to other animals, especially when it’s time for grooming. I am a new puppy parent. Dr Sheryl answered all of my questions. She took her time and was very kind. Majority of the staff are wonderful. There was 1 young lady there that I would give no stars to. Lucky for her the rest of the staff make up for what she lacks. Great place for your pets.

We will not be taking our 4 dogs here any longer. We were also going to take our dogs for their dental cleaning but not after today. My dog fell down the stairs and hurt her leg. We called at 3pm and they close at 4pm. They said they did not have appointments available and they could not see her. We explained she was in a lot of pain and could not walk. They said we close at 4pm and we have no appointments..take her to the ER how rude. No exception whatsoever. We took her down the street to the ER and she was in and out in about 20 minutes. They gave her a shot for her pain and some anti-inflammatory medication. I have researched other clinics in the area and hopefully will find a clinic with compassionate human beings. Thank you companion..you lost 4 patients. Hope you were able to close right a 4pm!!

I love Companion Animals Hospital of oak park! I’m a new puppy mom and started taking my puppy here and I have received nothing but the best! Everyone is very friendly and helpful! The vet techs and doctors are very invested in making sure you are always informed of everything going on and always ask if I have any questions or need anything. They never make you feel like you have a dumb question and never make the visit feel rushed. They all treat my puppy as their own and Benny loves his visits! I always come out of here learning more than before. They help make me a confidant dog mom. Looking forward to grooming here as well.

Lori, the groomer, will not take the time to commit to her services. She rushes preferring to simply cut the hair as short as possible rather than working to create the best cut for the breed. Also, based on other vets I’ve visited, companion will attempt to up-charge you creating unnecessary fear for the health of your pet. After getting two separate opinions from a vet in Riverside and a groomer, I shared my concerns with the office manager. He attempted to gaslight me not taking any ownership for his staff’s behavior. I sincerely hope others have a good experience there, but unfortunately I did not. And as it’s more difficult to get a second opinion with your animal, you may never know that CAH is simply taking you to the bank :/.

A few months ago my girlfriend and I adopted our kitty Gracy. Gracy has been to Companion multiple times for check-ups, shots, and her spay and they have all been pleasant experiences. We love Dr Cheryl and Maggie. They always answer all of our questions and Gracy loves them aswell! You can tell Dr Cheryl really cares for her patients and wants to make sure they are getting the best treatment. The office is also very clean and modern compared to past vet offices I’ve been to. Last week we adopted another kitty named Grayson and can’t wait to take him to meet everyone at Companion!

Dog got pneumonia there and this place charged us $600 for a medical diagnosis that wasnt even the problem... Went to a different place and got charged $100 and his pneumonia got better... Now he has asthma cause of this place...

Companion is a great place with great professional vets that know how to handle your pet! I came in with my cat Tiki and they were very sweet when caring for him. They knew what they were doing and my crazy cat who meows at everything and can never sit still was surprisingly very calm in their care. He never meowed once nor showed any sign of discomfort! They told me a breakdown of all the prices and shots that my can needs or should get and explained the reasons for them and gave me the option to get the shots or not. Me and Tiki really enjoyed our first vet experience and would recommend Companion!

Lori the lead Groomer is amazing? We have a Sheepadoodle who I would like to keep longer so she looks like a Sheepdog - not a doodle. She always listens to what I want for my dog- she respects what I want and doesnt just recommend shaving her like some places in OP... Sophie always comes home fluffy, white and happy! Ill never go anywhere else again!

I was formerly a Scrubbers customer so I became a Companion customer when Scrubbers left Oak Park. The old location on Lake Street was more convenient for me but nonetheless I followed them to North Ave. They groomed my miniature schnauzer, Gil, and did a nice job. When my beloved Gil passed away, after a year I adopted a senior dog (15 y/o) and hes visited Lori at Companion twice now. We think Lori is great--very kind and a good groomer. The office staff is friendly and efficient and they get us scheduled on short notice. There is plenty of parking, too.

Our first visit was great. Just moved to the area. The vet tech and vet were so awesome in the way they interacted with my pup and they were very genuine in getting to know us. I will definitely be going back.

I can’t rave enough about Dr. Cheryl and her staff at this vet location. Our shih-tzu McGee was a patient of theirs for awhile. He was frequently groomed there and they took such great care of him.We sadly had to put our dog down during the pandemic and the staff were so compassionate and shared in our grief. It felt like I was amongst family when McGee took his last breath. A week afterwards, the entire staff signed a card and personalized the messages with memories of McGee. I was blown away by their compassion and sincerity. I highly recommend this clinic for any of your pet care needs.

These guys are fantastic, I have never gotten so much care and attention from my own human doctor as they have given my old cat.Besides the bedside manner, the hospital is very clean, no lingering animal smells, the consultation rooms are also very clean, even cozy, and everyone is doing their level best to create a welcoming and stress-free environment for pets and owners.

We just got a new dog and took her for an initial check-up and then to be spayed with Dr. Cheryl. After we lost our dog in December, which was another amazing experience with the whole staff at Companion Animal Hospital Oak Park there was no question about where to take our new family member. Dr. Cheryl and her whole staff are all caring, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Our initial visit and also taking our dog in to be spayed went smoothly. I lost my pet on September 6. A wonderful person found my dog and took her to Companion Animal Hospital. The hospital posted that they had my dog. They groomed her and kept her for five days. I’m forever grateful to them. They gave her shelter and took care of her like family. I’m changing vets as a result. Any place that puts that kind of effort in my pet has got to be a fabulous place to care for my Penelope. Eternally appreciative

It’s Sunday Morning and trying to find a Vet that’s open is almost unheard of. I called in and explained how my puppy might have an eye infection. They took me in an hour later and did a full examination, they took care of my puppy we got eye medication and a full body workup. I really liked how Dr. Sheryl explained everything and was concerned about my puppies well-being. I am thankful there are vets open in Sunday’s. I highly recommend this Animal Clinic. All the staff was attentive and helpful! 🐶🥰

Just took my dog Achilles here for the first time. The vet and tech were both very friendly and great with him. Hes big and a little nervous around strangers; they were both extremely accommodating with his need for slow introductions and tried until he gained their trust. They told me what he was due for and gave me full descriptions of each vaccine and what each one helps prevent. Printed out an estimate to make sure I was aware of how much it would be before dosing him, which my last vet never did. He got a few shots and some blood drawn, they handled him very well and were done within a few minutes. Nice and clean facility. Achilles loved the treats they bribed him with, and was warmed up to the place before we walked out of the door. I would recommend this vet.

Just took my new cat in for her first vet visit here since we were given a coupon by the shelter we got her from. It was a wonderful experience and Im so happy to have found this place. This is the first time I took my cat to Companion Animal Hospital for dental cleaning. Dr. Chatterjee did a great job on my cats teeth. He called and give me a update about my cat medical condition, they even sent a picture of my cat after the the procedure done. All the staffs there were very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend this hospital for people whos pets need the best care.

We are delighted to work with all of the staff at Companion Oak Park. They are caring, respectful and listen to our concerns. When our dog was sick, they really helped get to the root of the problem and made reasonable recommendations that we could implement at home. Their follow up has been awesome too. Plus, Sunday appointments and online appointment scheduling! We are still very satisfied with their level of care and customer service.

Very good people work here. I was running a little late and my appointment time was near closing but they still took me and didnt rush anything and took the time to make sure I understood everything they were talking about. She was very sweet with my dog and I will definitely be coming here again.

It was mid afternoon when I realized that one of my dogs had ear trouble. I called C.A.H up and asked if they could see us. I brought both dogs with. One was diagnosed with a slight ear infection. I also mentioned that my other little guy was having knee proublems. I recived excellent care for both of my dogs in one end of day visit. It was so appreciated!

We took both our babies (2 dogs) to Companion recently and I must say, I am absolutely amazed at their services! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Both saw the vet for updated shots and then received grooming afterwards. They treated our babies with the love and care that we give them ourselves. They explained everything and why things are needed for the benefit of our family member.Im very pleased with how they treated our boy, much better than Banfield, and I dont feel like a number, but feels like family.Banfield just gave our dog meds without taking the extra step. I love Companion Animal Hospital. Ive never had a bad experience with this location. I take my dog there for his grooming and veterinary needs. They are very efficient and dont try to charge you for something you dont need. I have referred them to family and friends ad well.

Ive had animals for many years and worked with many vets, most of whom I liked. It has been very rare to have someone take the time that Dr. Kung has to work with me to figure out what is best for our cat. I would recommend her without any reservations.
