I would rate this salon with 0 stars if I could – DO NOT COME HERE!! I ordered my dress in January because I did not want to deal with last minute things regarding my WEDDING DRESS. I was told the dress would arrive around June when I purchased it in January. At the end of June I finally called the salon and asked about my dress to which I was told it was now coming in July. In July I was told it was coming in August. At the end of August I was told they did not know when it would arrive and that there had been a delay. Mind you this WHOLE time I was the one that had to reach out to them for answers. NOT ONCE DID THEY CALL ME FIRST TO LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. Every time I called I was told that there was a “conference call” the following day that should give them some answers on my dress and that they would call me back. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK WITH AN UPDATE FROM ANY OF THESE SO CALLED “CONFERENCE CALLS.” I would call to follow-up and be told “the call got delayed” or once I was even told that “there was no conference call scheduled and I never should have been told that there was one.” Through MANY tears and endless stress, the manager Alicia told me not to worry honey, we will take care of you and your alterations. I was repeatedly told that my alterations would be taken care of and not to worry about the time crunch since they were taking care of my alterations it would all be fine. Well.... 3 weeks before my wedding my dress FINALLY arrives. I call to set up my appointment to come try it on and start alterations to which Alicia tells me that no, no, no I must be confused and that I am mistaken and that she would never say that to me and that I will need to pay for all of my alterations. After arguing with her about what I was previously told BY HER, she tells me the best she could do was offer to pay for my bustle and said that was a very generous offer. Im sorry but I have been lied to for 4 months at this point about when my dress will arrive, lied to about fake conference calls to delay me calling again, told you would cover all of my alterations, and my dress comes 3 weeks before my wedding and you are going to pay for my bustle?! NO. I went to go pick up my dress and asked the stylist who was helping me (Monique was AMAZING, thank you Monique!) if my alterations were being covered or not. She said she was not sure and would have to check with the manager. Alicia was not in so she went and asked Christopher, the other manager of the salon. I was waiting just outside his office while Monique talked with him and Christopher laughed, yes LAUGHED about the absurdity of my request, called me a liar and said that Alicia would NEVER tell me that my alterations would be covered. HOW POOR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TO LITERALLY LAUGH AND CALL ME A LIAR AS I AM STANDING RIGHT THERE?! I was also told that on top of everything else, none of my calls or what was discussed with Alicia were documented or recorded in my file. There were only a couple of calls recorded in my file! WHAT?! I spoke with the salon and with Alicia specifically at least 10 times!! Alicia also told me repeatedly that this was all documented in my file so there would be no delays once my dress arrived. This is the shadiest run department I have ever seen. I walked out with my dress and REFUSE to give Macy’s one more penny of my money after the way I have been treated. Now I have three weeks to find someone to rush alter my dress because I cannot trust Macy’s after the experience I have had and refuse to support their business for one more second. They have caused me a SEVERE amount of stress and countless tears and I would not trust a word that they tell you!! This salon has treated me poorly from the minute after they ran my credit card and I would NEVER recommend anyone to come here!!!

Great selection. They had the exact dress I was looking for!! And with the beading and style, I know this same dress would have gone for a TON more $ at another salon nearby. The staff were amazing (alterations, fitting, etc), friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and personable. They made sure I had the best experience. Macys was able to offer me a discount and have overall been amazing. I am so happy with my choice in using them.

Prior to coming to Macys bridal salon, I had an absolutely AWFUL experience at a bridal salon and was pretty nervous coming into my appointment. The nerves went away as soon as I met with Brenda, who was absolutely lovely to work with. She had a great positive energy, she was very supportive, and really listened to what I wanted in a dress.Although I didnt purchase my dress from Macys - they only had a few dresses with mikado fabric which I was primarily interested in - I had the most amazing experience thanks to Brenda.

I came in with my best friend who’s looking to buy a dress for a wedding in 6 months. My best friend has been driving me and the other bridesmaids insane but Monique T was knowledgeable and willing to assist. My best friend was extremely happy with the experience and dress chosen. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a gown. From the minute I walked in, they made me feel so welcome! Although they didnt have the designer I originally desired, they showed me a selection of beautiful Demetrios dresses... that I actually ended up loving much more than what I initially pictured myself in. The salon manager Christopher even took the time to personally assist me in my search, even picking THE DRESS! If you are in search of the perfect wedding gown and and the perfect experience, you need to visit this salon..they are great!

Best experience Ive had thus far as a bridesmaid. We went in without a clue on what we wanted for our very different shaped bodies. I went I this past weekend without an appointment. I had originally come in to just try on one dress. Bonnie was AMAZING. From the beginning, she made me feel like it was all about me. She treated me as if I had an appointment and showed me several dresses with zero pressure. She didnt have to take the time with me but she did. She knew exactly what she was doing and pulled the perfect dresses for my personality and style. I had been to three other bridal salons prior and this was the very best service by far. Wow, what a life changing experience Macys Bridal Salon. The experience of the ladies was so impressive and patience was unbelievable. I had one of the Sweetest newbies work with me, Brenda. She was very attentive and mindful of what I wanted, but showed me other options I never considered. Not only did I find one dress, but I found two. Now the ball is in my court. I will finalize my dress Friday.

I found my wedding dress here at the end of 2018 for my wedding in June. It was a very pleasant experience! The salon was very clean and organized. The staff was warm and extremely accommodating! My consultant, Aalayha, was the sweetest and made the experience more enjoyable! I would recommend brides to shop here!

I had a great experience here! I flew in from Dallas to find my dress because I wanted a Demetrios dress and all of the staff were so helpful. My consultant was very attentive. I would have preferred a more private setting (another bride’s family was offering their unsolicited opinions on my dress) but that’s not the salon’s fault. All in all, this was wonderful!!

I looked at several small wedding boutiques before finding my dress at Macy’s. I found many dresses that I really liked at the other places, but not one compared to the simple elegance and classic style of the dress I found at Macy’s bridal salon by Demetrios. Not only was the dress gorgeous, but the service was fantastic as well. Each time I came in for a fitting I was greeted at the front desk and my stylist made each visit a pleasant one. I was so pleased with my experience, that I decided to have my alterations done at the store as well, and I am very happy I did because the dress fit like a glove and I felt amazing in it on my wedding day. Started out wonderful. The buying experience and sales associate was great, and if I had written my review right then I would have given 5 stars. But…..things did not go so great when it came to ACTUALLY getting the dress, on time and as expected.At the time I purchased my dress, the sales associate told me to expect delivery in mid-August. This matched what the contract said – custom dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive. Fine, no big deal. That put the dress due to arrive 2 months before the wedding. My dress didn’t arrive till three weeks before the wedding, over a month late. And during the time when it was late and hadn’t arrived yet- the shop could NOT give me an exact date on when to expect my dress, which was panic inducing to say the least. I didn’t have confirmation on when my dress would be in until 3 weeks before my wedding…only after Macy’s received it and then shipped (I live 2+ hours away) it to me and called to let me know they had it/were shipping it back out.1) Do you want a bridal shop that proactively will communicate any issues or delays? This is not the shop for you. I had to call them to find out my dress was late, and have had to call them every time since for an update, even when they promise and assure me they will call me the next day. The only time they proactively called me was when they finally got my dress in and shipped it to me.2) Do you want a bridal shop that is honest with you? This is not the shop for you. During my first call regarding the late dress, the sales associate told me she had been texting me. Total lie. I never received a text or phone call from the shop. I reviewed my contact afterwards and verified my email and phone number were correct just to make sure they were not reaching out with incorrect information. Also…as a sales associate…wouldn’t you follow-up if you weren’t getting a response? Also see point 1 where they promise to call and then don’t.3) Do you want a bridal shop who sincerely wants your business and will make it right when things go wrong? This is not the shop for you. After my dress was late, and after numerous calls of getting no information at all, and after escalating to the sales manager, I asked the manager what the manufacture and/or shop would do to make this right. At the very least – they should pay the fees for the rush alterations, right? The response I was given was “The dress isn’t considered late until it misses the wedding” – nice, right? They did pay for shipping it to me since I live 2+ hours away but that honestly was the very least they could do – and frankly not enough to make up for the terrible customer service experienced through the whole ordeal.4) After waiting over 7 months and my dress being late…it was messed up. They had taken out a corset back and replaced with a zipper…but the dress then didn’t zip all the way in the back despite my measurements being the exact same. At this point being so close to the wedding, I didn’t even want to waste my time or energy arguing with this shop. I took it to a trusted seamstress and she worked a miracle and fixed their mistake.My dress turned out beautiful but that was only due to the considerable effort and time of my seamstress. Under no circumstances can I recommend buying from this shop. If you read all of the above and still want to go ahead with purchasing a dress…then buyer beware. I sincerely hope you have better luck than I did.

I am so glad I found my dress at Macys Bridal Salon. I worked closely with Alicia, Christopher, and Nidia and I highly recommend them!! They are very talented, personable and professional. They were able to addressed my many questions and concerns, and made me feel very assured. I customized my dress and veil, but they took the time to order exactly what I want. My dress came in on time and is more beautiful then I ever imagined. Thank you Alicia for helping me stretch and order my dream dress. You are so sweet and super talented! Thank you Nidia for helping my find the perfect veil!! I had a lot of fun during our accessories appointment. I couldnt have a better experience so far and looking forward to my second alteration appointment. Cant wait!

This was my last bridal appointment and I went in thinking I had already found my dress...Aalayha saw a pic and said she was going to beat it. Sure enough, she did! We were promised our bridesmaid dresses would be 3 to 4 months max; we called to check on the status of the order when we reached 4 months and now they tell us its going to be another month, giving us about 4 weeks to do fitting and alterations before the wedding. I made a big mistake by buying my dress at Macys bridal salon. When I recieved my dress and tried it for the first time, obviously it was too big and needed a lot of alteration, at my first alteration I felt positive, I thought I am in a good hands, since I am paying 600$ for alteration and it will be altered properly and I will feel comfortable and beautiful, unfortunately after coming to my final alteration, I noticed that dress does not fit me well and the beaded sleeves where ripped. I am very disappointed and I am not confident about the dress at all. Too many details to describe that are wrong with the dress. My advise, go somewhere else where for the same money you will get the perfect dress and feel beautiful.Some editing to my post, the bidding on my dress ripped open, in the middle of my back. Horrible. I wish I never came to this place. Shame.

Macys Bridal Salon refused to let me buy the dresses they sell at their establishment because the bride, who does not live in Chicago, was not purchasing her wedding dress there. The bride, I explained, was planning to wear her mothers bridal gown, but they still refused to sell me their bridesmaids dresses. Arent you looking for paying customers who want to buy your merchandise? I was left stammering, practically holding all of my cash out to anyone who would listen, saying but wait! money! I have money! All to no avail.They were incredibly rude, and turned their noses up at me like I was some kind of dirty nose-picker who was sneezing on all of their dresses. Which, to be clear, I am not, and was not.I absolutely recommend that anyone and everyone take their business elsewhere, to a nicer, classier establishment - one that is selling the exact same merchandise, even to us dirty plebeians who came in right off the street.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. Buying a wedding dress could be a very stressful process, but not at this location. Incredible customer service, knowledgeable and fun staff. I had the honor to be taken care of by Aalayha and Alicia, who were both very helpful every step of the way. Thanks to the great team at Macys for ensuring my wedding dress was beautiful on my special day! And it resulted in a late dress with a returned rush fee, since they didnt even rush the dress order like they said they would.I would not recommend this salon. If I could give 0 stars I would. The one star is only because I liked Allayah so much.I purchased my dress back in August of 2018. It was the first dress I tried on and I knew immediately, it was the one. Allayah, was my consultant and she was very accommodating and supportive. She even offered me her discount for my dress and veil.The dress fit near perfectly, but had to have some alterations. My contract stated the alterations would not exceed $500. Allayah and Alicia stated there was not a lot that needed to be done to the dress. Fast forward to the dress arriving, I set up a time to have the consultation for alterations. Natasha, one of the best to work on alterations pinned and marked my dress. She stepped out and came back in with a ridiculous price of $875! That was nearly half the cost of the dress itself. I decided against having Macys do the work. This is where things got crazy!I voiced my disdain for the outrageous price for alterations to Alicia. She told me the prices I was quoted were pretty standard (A LIE). I told her I would take my chances elsewhere. At this point, my dress had been bagged up with the pins. I told her I wanted to take my dress with and she said Macys would no longer be responsible. She told me to wait and she would go remove the pins. I said I understood, and waited patiently.She literally went in the back of the bridal salon, took all the pins out of my dress, damaged it, leaving a hole in the sleeve, that seemed very intentional. She made no mention of the hole. She made sure to get me to sign off the dress was no longer Macyss responsibility, which I understood. What I dont understand is her dishonest actions. Knowing full well she damaged my dress and packaging it up like nothing happened.I am very DISSATISFIED with my services from Macys. It puts a whole damper on a time that is supposed to be joyful. Thankfully the seamstress I went to was $550 cheaper and will be able to fix Macys and Alicias dirty work!BTW, Im still waiting on my veil.

Monique is a great consultant, she takes the time to listen to the brides. Very genuine and kind

I scheduled an appointment for a specific dress that I thought I wanted. It was the first dress I tried on and I liked it but the consultant suggested I try on a few more and out of the 3 she brought out I fell in love with the 2nd one. The entire process has been great, even down to the seamstress for the alterations that were needed. Expensive but very much worth it. I bring my dress home today along with my veils. So excited and by the way, Ronia was absolutely wonderful! If you go there... request her.

I will say that the staff for fittings and color choices were PHENOMENAL! The bride needed color opinion to match a Scottish plaid, and Macys staff went above and beyond to show me the colors on dresses instead of simply in swatches. Emily helped me try on dresses and was so patient and helpful with sizing and the different styles.The problem came after I ordered the dress. To get a clear timeline: dress was ordered on August 24, 2016 with a 12 week expected delivery time. I called in late November / early December to get status update on the dress only to be told that the dress was now arriving in early January. The manager and the salesperson both assured me that I would have the dress in early January and that alterations could be made quickly so that I would have time before the wedding with the dress.Fast forward to today, January 5, 2017. Called for another status update on the dress (question: why does the customer have to call for updates?). Was told this time that the dress would arrive at the end of January (please take note: leaving for wedding in late February, and need alterations done). This timeline would not end well for me. The manager, Alicia, told me that she would call the company to see if we could get the dress expedited (its been 19 weeks since order date, at this point). I call later in the day for an update, since Im quite worried.Alicia had not called the dress company and informed me that the earliest that they would try would be Monday. When I started to raise h***, she relented and said that a “Chris” would try to call tomorrow, but that I should check back in on Monday. I have refused, and will continue to call morning, noon, and night until this is resolved. Alicia told me that apparently they give the wedding date to the designers so that they may not get started right away – I find this utterly insane, because IF I ORDERED IT AT A SPECIFIC TIME, IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN FOR A REASON. All of the other bridesmaids for this wedding ordered their dresses online from the designer (The Dessy Collection), which shows a 9-10 week wait time for the dress. Unfortunately, it’s too late now for me to order another dress online since the wedding is 7 ½ weeks away.I must say that I expected more from Macys, and have assured them that my $10k+ wedding dress / bridesmaids dress business will not be with them.

NO options for plus sized brides. Also the stylist was very disrespectful towards my fiancee. were lgbt and she couldnt grasp that were BOTH brides.
