Neil and his team came out to help us after Hurricane Ida and they did an amazing job. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and I couldnt ask for more professionalism and efficiency. They have definitely made an overwhelming, stressful situation easier and we are so grateful.
I highly recommend this company. My parents house flooded from all the recent rain, it was a nightmare and overwhelming. I called three companies and only felt comfortable with them. They did a great job and were very professional.
ServiceMaster were very, very helpful! They went out of their ways to make sure everything was in order to rebuilding and restoring my home after the fire. All while being professional. So pleased and very thankful for their help!
I live in Elmwood Park and our basement has flooded a few times due to the heavy rains and our sump pump failing. Ive always cleaned the water myself, but this last time was way too much to handle so we called ServiceMaster. From the first phone call I knew I was in good hands. The girls at the office (Brittney & Diana) were so professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. They helped navigate me through this process with ease. When Fernando, Luis, and their team arrived I knew I was in good hands. They walked me through the entire process, answered all my questions, and helped me speak and navigate with my insurance adjuster. They were so thorough and clean. From start to finish, they overall made a highly stressful situation easier to deal with. I would highly recommend them, 10 out of 10! Thank you again ServiceMaster by Zaba. They also do carpet and upholstery cleaning, so I will definitely be calling them for that as well.
We have an Act of Kindness Policy thats what I was told when a technician went out of his way to make sons day. As a mother who has a special needs child I have to consider a lot more factors that can impact my family in any situation. In February my sons room was affected by an ice dam, it was actually raining through the window, I was frustrated because I am working from home, I have an infant, I have e-learning going on for my 8yr old, and I have a 4 yr old austic child at home, and now this. I was not able to call insurance right away because of so much happening all at once. I finally got around to it 1 week later and dealing with insurance was not easy, they had too many calls from so many ice dams. I called three restoration companies and explained to them I have a special needs child who also has anxiety and I needed to make sure we can come up with a plan to get the work done. Everyone I spoke with was not very understanding, so I felt that way, I think they thought I was overreacting, I know everyone was busy. My agent told me to call this ServiceMaster and I am glad I did, they were very understanding and took care of me. The manager that came out to my house said he has a nephew with autism so he understands what I am going through. He explained that they will be making noise during the tear out process as well as leave machines for a few days that make noise. My son is very sensitive to noises so I knew this was going to be an issue. Luis, the project manager, recommended I call insurance and explain to them I will need a place to stay for a few weeks, although I only have one room with water damage, I am in a situation where I cannot be at home with my child during this process. Luis asked me to call while he was at my home and luckily we were able to get a hold of someone and they completely understood my situation. I was placed in a hotel for a few weeks. ServiceMaster worked quickly to get the room dried out and repaired. I was unable to do the final inspection with them because I was running late. When I came home I thought it would be dusty and they left everything clean, the room looked great, but what was very touching was a package that they left for my son on his bed, it had a few cars and a soccer ball. They actually took notice of my sons interests by seeing what was in his room and kindly bought him some toys, I did not expect this at all. My son was so happy. I called one of the techs that was here waiting for me who had to leave and just thanked him so much. Mark the technician said it is our policy to do kind things for people. If I could give them 100 stars I would.
I cant say enough good things about Service Master! I had water coming in through my roof so bad that it effected my attic as well as my main floor. I called Service Master and they were able to come out the same day and stabalize my home. the project managers explained the entire process and made it easy for me to understand. The crews were efficent and knowledable. The office staff helped me communicate with my insurance and made sure that I wasnt getting ripped off. THANK YOU SERVICE MASTER!!
I had water damage on a bathroom ceiling due to an overflow from the unit above us. I was lucky to select ServiceMaster because they came out the same morning I called, they were professional, responsive, and answered all of our questions. In addition, they knew exactly what our insurance needed are were thorough and detailed. I worked with Amelia, Brittney, Fernando, Jonathon, Mark, and Guillermo and everyone was great at their job. Would highly recommend ServiceMaster Restoration by Zaba.
My next door neighbor had a chimney fire and ServiceMaster was already there doing the work so I hired them to do the work in my house. I had smoke damage and some water damage since we live in row homes. The fire department got water in my house when they were putting out the neighbors fire. My experience with them was great, they cleaned all the soot of the walls, repaired the affected walls, cleaned all my furniture and area rugs. Actually I was surprised how good my area rugs looked, Lorenzo is amazing, he brought them back to life. As for the rest of the work I was very happy with the end result and It didnt take as long as I thought It would.
Last week I had a fire in my home, it was about 4:00 am in the morning, in less than 20 minutes I had several board-up companies outside. Getting my kids and dogs out of the house was my priority, but looked like these companies could care less, they wanted my business. The fire department put out the fire, it was a big fire, my home is not livable at the moment, we lost everything. I picked a board up company and they boarded the windows and doors. They tried to get my business for the rest of the work inside the home but the Fire Department advised me not to sign anything until I spoke with my insurance company. There were so many public adjusters outside fighting for me to sign on, it was scary. I went to my parents house, called my insurance company and they recommended ServiceMaster by Zaba, within 5 minutes I received a call from Brittney at the office, she had a crew arrive onsite in less than 30 minutes. When i showed up to the my house i could not get out of the car, there were a bunch of public adjusters waiting for me, they were ghetto and yelling at each other, I had to call the police. I called the Service Master manager which I was able to identify based on their yellow trucks. He walked over to my car and we walked to the house, i could not believe how unprofessional the public adjusters were, they were yelling ignorant comments. I dont what makes them think anyone would want to do business with them. One of the Public Adjusters walked into my home and bluntly told me, he can rebuild my home to be my dream home and put money in my pocket! I was so mad, I kicked him out. I was impressed at how professional ServiceMaster by Zaba was. They kept their cool throughout the process and were never disrespectful to any of those jerks, they focused on me and my home and asked how my family was.I had smoke, soot and water damage everywhere, of course at this point nothing was salvageable. The adjuster arrived while we were there, we spent about 3 hours going over the work that needed to take place and the expectations. I am very happy and blessed to have been recommended ServiceMaster by Zaba, the process so far has been easy and they are handling all the communication with my insurance company. Neil, Joseph, Alecia and the rest of the team and office staff have been amazing.I hope no one experiences a fire, they are devastating and sometimes fatal, but they are not avoidable. Please make a wise decision, be aware of signing with a public adjuster, speak with your insurance company first. I highly recommend ServiceMaster by Zaba, they are a great company with great staff.
They went above and beyond when cleaning my Tibetan Rug. From their timeliness, professionalism, workmanship and going over and above by laying my rug under my bed, I couldnt recommend ServiceMaster by Zaba any higher. I will be definitely be using this service again.
Imagine 2 pit bulls smoking a joint in the morning, and eating dog bones all day on the couch while I’m at work. That’s how my couch looked like. It’s like going to confession after not going for 10 years! But after that confession you feel refreshed! That’s how my couch smells and feels. Now it’s time to keep that couch clean!! With all seriousness they did a great job!!!
When a huge tree fell on my garage roof in West Rogers Park on 8/10/20, I was devastated by the destruction. My garage roof had collapsed under the weight of the tree and my car was inside. The tree knocked down power lines; branches and debris covered my yard and another neighbors yard. My insurance company, State Farm, recommended I call ServiceMaster by Zaba, and I am SO glad I did. The crew, Fernando, Jonathan, and Martin, came the next morning and worked tirelessly for several hours. I was amazed at how much they accomplished. Both yards are now clear of branches and they managed to prop up the garage roof with 2 by 4s, so I could get my car to a body shop. Furthermore, since I was afraid to drive it myself, they offered to do it themselves. When Fernando went to get more lumber to prevent further damage, Jonathan and Martin kept working furiously fast on the cleanup. They even managed to free up the power lines so ComEd could reconnect the wires. These guys are really the best!
I had a burst pipe in my master bathroom, there was extensive water damage throughout the house. Insurance recommended Servicemaster Zaba for emergency services. They had a team at my house within the hour. They did a great job and handled the entire claims process.
Had a major water damage in my house last week. Service Master came to help us with it. Have nothing but amazing things to say about Fernando and his crew. They made a nightmare of a time for me & my family much easier to deal with.Very professional. Would wish no one has to deal with water damage but if you do highly recommend Service Master, specially Fernando and his crew. Wish had more stars to add than 5. :)
Service Master cleaned my sisters cluttered apartment with care and efficiently. The team was extremely knowledgeable about how best to clean her very messy condominium and worked with family to determine what had to be disposed of and what needed to be kept for storage, etc. They were finished in 4 hours what would have taken us days. Everything looked move-in ready when they finished.
Wow! So professional and quick from the first phone call to waving goodbye. We had a failed Sump pump and soaked carpet basement. On a busy weekend they arrived with 3 trucks and got to work. Would absolutely recommend them!
We hired service master when our basement got flooded, our insurance agent told us to call them. They did a great job and their communication was always on point. We had a lot of mess in the basement due to all the sewer water, I appreciate their patience and the employees are great.
We had an emergency flood situation in our basement. They not only responded immediately but were so professional and calm during such a anxious time for my family. When these unexpected events happen you need not only expertise but prompt results so I definitely would say their name matches what they provide you with. Their water restoration specialists were very informative, took care of our concerns and I’m happy to say got our basement back to be pre flood! I’m thankful and will definitely continue to recommend them to our family and friends.
I highly recommend this company, they provided me with great service and were professional the entire time. I also did not feel pressured to sign any paperwork. The entire process was painless. Would recommend their services, for reference I had a burst pipe.
I highly recommend Service Master By Zaba, they made my old house and I mean old because I hardly recolonized it after they were done with the remodel due to mold and water damage in the house. They provide me a step by step detail plan of how everything was done before and after. I hope to get pictures up soon. Their staff was very careful with everything and all the project Managers were on it all the way. Thank you so much Zab Team!
Extremely disappointed they wanted me to sign a contract prior to providing me an estimate. Who does this? This is not how business is done. Unfortunate.
The team did a thorough job in removing damaged floors, ceilings, and partial walls after Hurricane Florence. They came in and worked diligently until the job was complete. Im thankful for their fast work and help. Neil Omar was especially helpful as he assisted me with getting insurance approval expedited. I was fortunate to have found Service Master after the storm. Once they began working I felt like recovery was underway.
Phenomenal, professional and precise.Their name says it all -- SERVICE MASTER! The service we received at our organization was impeccable. From the customer service to their on site associates, we had the best experience hiring them to give our theatre a deep cleaning. The moment we had patrons walk in, you could tell the freshness of the air from cleaning out the air ducts and the immaculate floors. We totally appreciate the team that serviced our organization, they arrived at our facility with smiles and made sure we were pleased with their work.I highly recommend their service from small to large businesses.
Woke up to a flooded kitchen! Apparently the plumbing lines in your dishwasher can burst for whatever reason. I always run the dishwasher at night before going to be bed, but this time while the dishwasher was running at some point it had a burst water line. This happened some time while we are all sleeping. I woke up at 6am with a loud knock on my door. My downstairs neighbor said it was raining in their unit, what a nightmare! My condo was flooded, floors and carpets and drywall soaked. Water everywhere and the units below me are beyond upset. The building sent in the engineer who could not fix anything. In a desperate search I found ServiceMaster Zaba on-line, they were able to come out right away. They told me to call insurance and also talk to the condo association. So this review is tell ServiceMaster how awesome they are, and also to bring awareness to those who own a dishwasher...do not run a load overnight and get it checked regularly, this was a big mess for my unit, and two units below me. Thankfully ServiceMaster was able to service all of us at once but I cannot begin to tell you what an awful feeling it is to wake up to this mess.
Our basement flooded recently. My husband and i were out of town when a neighbor called to say there was a pool of water in our basement. Both of our sump pumps went out. We called Service Master and they came out within the hour.Considering that we were out of the country the process was not as bad as we thought it would be. I wont go into too much detail but I will say I felt completely comfortable with them, they navigated the insurance process with my insurance company and the agent. My son in law was at the property on our behalf and said they were doing a phenomenal job.We had a lot water damage, and Service Master did an outstanding job cleaning up everything. They took care of our belongings and did not leave debris everywhere. We were a bit worried that we would be walking into a big mess and were surprised at how clean everything was despited removing all the drywall and carpet.Really appreciate the work Service Master did and appreciate how much effort they put into our claim and giving us the opportunity to enjoy our vacation in the middle of such chaos!Thank you!
After Hurricane Florence our home was in shambles. We called some local companies for remediation services and were quickly disappointed by them. We called ServiceMaster Restoration By Zaba at the suggestion of our insurance carrier. ServiceMaster contacted us and set an appointment to survey the damage. Neil and Lewis came to our home (which was in a state of destruction from Florence) and actually took the time to put on shoe covers (even though I told them they didnt have to) because they respected our home. They surveyed the damage and quickly submitted the repair estimate to our insurance carrier. During the remediation process Neil, Lewis and their Entire crew acted in a professional and respectful manner. I had no problem in leaving them in my home unattended because they were extremely trustworthy. I could go on and on but Ill simply say that I Highly Recommend ServiceMaster By Zaba. The office and field staff are among the best crew that I have ever dealt with.
Neil and the crew really know there job. They are professional, fast, reliable, courteous, and very sympathetic. They work well with the insurance company which helps immensely when dealing with an emergency. Highly recommended!!!
Love these guys! I had a toilet overflow, not sure how that happened, its just me and my wife in the home. My wife got home and freaked out, so much water. We tried to clean it up but there was no way we could do it ourselves . our agent called in ServiceMaster. These guys first calmed my wife, I couldnt do it, then they walked us through the process and started their thing. There was a lot of drywall that had to come out but fortunately they were able to save the floors. Thanks for all your help. The girls at the office are great too.
I’m torn how to review, because the guys who provided the service did a wonderful job, but the admin service was awful. They came as scheduled to do water remediation, worked with our insurance co smoothly, removed walls, cabinets and counters to do the dry out without damaging the cabinets, cleaned up well—just great! But we told them from the beginning that we hoped they would do the reconstruction as well. They kept promising to send a bid or call us back tomorrow, day after day. That was 2 weeks ago, so we have given up on this branch. To just never return a customer call seems like pretty bad business practice.
Came home from work and it was raining in my living room, and dining room, there was water gushing through all the light fixtures and can lighting, some of the ceiling was already starting to cave in. I ran upstairs because I thought for sure the water had been left on but everything was fine. I had to turn the water main off because the waiter would not stop. We called our plumber, insurance company and Service Master. We did not know where to begin. Such a bazaar situation. They had to remove the entire living room ceiling and found a burst water pipe from the bathroom above. We still do not how that happened. The water ruined my entire first floor and most of my basement. This was such an inconvenience, I cant even begin to explain. ServiceMaster did an excellent job, they had to gutt the entire first floor and basement, their work was immaculate and left everything very clean, they did not leave any garbage behind, it was clean and ready to go for my contractor to start the reconstruction process. We are still not in the house, however my experience with service master was excellent, as well as my plumber and insurance adjuster.
ServiceMaster Restoration by Zaba is my go to company for any water damage in my home, they have been to home already on 3 separate occasions. I had a lot of water damage due to an ice dam this winter. Over the summer i had a sewage back up in my finished basement and last year the I had water damage from a sink over flow. I think its time I sell the house. Very grateful for them, every experience has been an easy process for paperwork, they are a vendor with my insurance company and they are trustworthy. All their staff are great to work with.
Leaky water heaterI live in a large family home in Chicago with my wife and two sons. About three nights ago our entire house flooded because of a leaky water heater. We had so much water, My neighbor recommended ServiceMaster, so I called them and spoke to Diana the owner. She walked me through the process and got all of the info needed to start the cleanup process. In less than an hour her team arrived with equipment and got to work. They removed all of the water and restored everything. Fantastic service, ServiceMaster
The crew was very responsive and did a great job. We strongly recommend this company.
I liked your service from the fist time. It was before 4 years and you help me with my house painting. The job was finished really fast and with perfect quality. Also i am satisfied and from your Pressure Washing Service. You are really knowledge and i will recommend you to every who needs.
With a few days of rain in Chicago my basement had lots of water.. not only did they do an amazing job but it was done quickly and efficiently. Thanks guys for all of your help and saving my sanity!

They came to my house in Niles, IL after a long night of rain and flooding after my sump pump went out. They showed up in a timely manner and took out all of my carpet, disinfected the flooring, and cleaned the whole basement quickly and professionally. The crew that came out was very friendly and introduced themselves individually which made me feel more comfortable about the whole situation. They explained step by step what they were doing and also what they recommended. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who has to deal with flooding or any problems and they have earned a lifelong customer from me.
I called these guys again for a deep spring cleaning in our office. They came out a couple of months ago for a fire. Now that the construction has been done we needed a deep cleaning. They sent a different team which i was bummed about but it was their cleaning team. I cant complain, they did an excellent job cleaning all of the construction dust, hvac, carpet, floor mats, etc... This company is great, Alecia was a fantastic team lead and very thorough.
I had water pipes burst in my condo right before the holidays. I did not expect December to be so cold considering the mild winter we had last year. I was out of the country when the neighbor who was feeding my cats called to tell me it was flooded inside my condo. It was frustrating, I did not want to fly back since I had 4 more days to go on my trip. The property management company recommended ServiceMaster by Zaba. I reached out to them by email because calls were difficult at the time, they responded back quickly and sent me a bunch of information as far as what steps to take and what will take place. They went immediately to inspect my property and started working right away. They helped me get a plumber, they spoke with the insurance company on my behalf and coordinated with the building for access. I received update emails and pictures daily. I felt totally comfortable with them in my condo, of course the neighbor stopped in regularly to check the work but everything seemed to be running smoothly. I had to be confident that everything would be ok and that I could trust this company. All my carpet and padding had to be pulled out, most of the hardwood floors, my hallway bathroom and kitchen both had burst pipes, there was a lot of damage so I knew what to expect.ServiceMaster technicians left my place very clean, there wasn’t any dust and all my furniture and personal belongings had been protected. Of course, I went through all my stuff to make sure everything was there and it sure was. This company is trustworthy, professional and skilled, I wish I could give them 10 stars.
A few days ago I came home to find that a pipe burst in my bathroom and the whole place flooded. I tried cleaning up whatever I could by myself but gave up and decided to look for a water damage restoration service in Chicago. I found ServiceMaster by Zaba online, read the reviews, and decided to hire them. They saved my home! The water removal and cleanup service wasnt cheap but they worked with my insurance company and billed them directly. Im really fortunate for Diana and her team. They are top notch and Ill definitely use them in the future for other cleaning services.
I received absolutely horrible customer service at every stage of the game - including the time they tried to tell me I was wrong about their employees keeping my keys, and only after I repeated that they were nowhere to be found did they finally double check and realize they DID, in fact, keep my keys... TWICE.The job: Remove some wood flooring due to a water leak, dry out the area underneath, and then replace the floor.Problem 1: They didnt make it clear (and my insurance company shares some blame here, but ServiceMaster by Zaba was the guiltiest party) that the job was in two totally separate and virtually unrelated parts. The guy who came to check out my place made it sound like it was all one job - remove the flooring, dry it out, put in new flooring... He even went so far as to talk about where and how he would cut boards to maintain the proper staggered look - it was TOTALLY reasonable for me to believe it was all one job... But it wasnt one job.... So come final day of the project, I just have a place with no freaking floors, and NO scheduled follow-up to repair them!Problem 2: Not only were they not clear about when the job ended, they told me a couple of days for the drying equipment to be left in my place and theyd then pick it up. They never confirmed with me when, so I made what I think was a relatively fair assumption that a couple meant two days which wouldve put us at Thursday... Nope... I called up on Thursday and they just nonchalantly said oh well be by to pick it up Monday -- this is when I found out about Problem 1 -- that they were just coming to pick up the equipment...Problem 3: The restoration, which had to be planned as a separate job, costing me a small fortune due to the delays making my place partially uninhabitable, wasnt all that great. They ended up making my floor a few shades darker than it originally was -- not something they prepared me for or talked with me about at all.Problem 4: They left a huge mess, breaking their contract to leave things broom clean... but what they DIDNT leave was my keys... I had to email them and tel them that not only had they left a mess, they still had my keys...Problem 5: They came back and dropped off SOME, but not ALL of my keys... yeah, thats right, they kept a couple of them. Then they tried to tell me I was full of it when I said that they seemed to still have some of my keys... and let me be clear here: I was as nice as I could be and tried not to accuse them of taking them on purpose...Problem 6: Only after the rude and incompetent person Id been dealing with that whole time was out of town did I get someone who was helpful, and who had them double check if they still had some of my keys -- turns out they did... shocker!Problem 7: I had another contractor working on the final day that ServiceMaster had come by just to clean up after itself and return keys, and their staff insulted my other contractor... when I let them know about this, they essentially called me a liar -- because, yeah, Id really benefit from making up a story about that.Ultimately, they refused to give me any sort of discount, recompense, or even apology for the issues along the way.Honestly, there were other small issues and hiccups I didnt even outline above - but this should sum up the sort of service that ServiceMaster by Zaba provides. This is not a company you should work with.
I experienced a sewer backup in my finished basement. My insurance company said to call ServiceMaster. They came out quick, assessed the situation and went straight to work. I had a lot water damage that affected my carpets, walls and furniture. Although I was in a hectic and unpleasant situation I had a great experience with this company.
I honestly thought that we were not going to have freezing temperatures this winter. I left Chicago in the beginning of January to work on a project in California. I had a friend coming over to check the mail and water the plants, of course he decides to turn the heat down because the weather has been great. I am in California not even thinking about Chicago. I get a call last week from the unit below me to say that it is raining in their unit. My pipes froze and they busted, this was a horrible call on a day of a big presentation. The building manager called servicemaster and they went into my unit, it was a horrible mess, water damage everywhere, they had to open up my walls, the worst part is that I have blown-in insulation and that gets everywhere. I am out of town trying and dealing with my insurance company, the neighbors and the restoration company was overwhelming. My downstairs neighbor had worse water damage than I did, it was i nightmare. I spoke with ServiceMaster and they really helped me navigate everything and everyone, they put me at ease and they made sure to let my down stairs neighbor know that they were going to take care of them as well.I flew in a week later. My unit was almost completely bare but they left it clean, I expected it to be dirty and debris everywhere but they were so clean and covered all my furniture. The unit below me was also very clean but they had to move out. ServiceMaster is not finished with all their work, there was so much structure materials that were wet, but they saved the day we still have a long road of construction ahead of us. Thank you ServiceMaster!
I was out of town for the long holiday weekend, unfortunately I turned the heat down and my pipes burst. I didnt think that would happen because the heat was not off, but some of my exterior plumbing just froze. needless to say I came home a thick layer of ice throughout my floors, walls, ceilings, you name it...it all froze. Fortunately ServiceMaster does the maintenance in our building and were on site that day, I have a duplex condo so no one else was affected but me. Jonathan was onsite from Service Master, he called the project manager and they came over, I had a mess. I called the insurance company and property management company. I let ServiceMaster by Zaba take care of the all the insurance paper work, I see them in my building all the time so I trust them 100% and they have always been very honest to work with. I had to move out. ServiceMaster packed up my stuff and put it in storage, the cleaners came and took my laundry and emergency items. I will be out of my condo for several months, lesson learned, dont turn the heat down. Service Master has been great to work with.
This review is for the office staff, I called ServiceMaster for advice on water damage. I had a toilet overflow in my basement, water traveled through the drywall and affected floors. I got to it right away and started cleaning up the water. I googled how to clean up water damage and found their blog. I followed the steps they provided. Im a tenant so my landlord was not going to pay to have someone come out since he felt it was my fault. I called servicemaster around 7pm on Sunday and Brittney was very helpful, she spent 20 minutes on the phone with me and provided me with guidance. Again it was a smaller job so I was able to do it myself. She was not pushy about her services and actually told me I did everything I should have done to avoid secondary damage. I got a call from Servicemaster the next day checking in to make sure I was still doing ok. Great customer service from this company.
I called ServiceMaster by Zaba while my basement was in the middle of flooding. In a panic, I asked for a crew to be sent out asap. (It was a horrible storm that day with lots of power outages) Brittany explained that they were all booked up and would have someone out in 24 hours, but would call me if anyone cancelled. I wasnt hopeful.Well, sure enough...two hours later, Brittany called to say that someone had cancelled and they could make it to my house within two hours. A crew of 4 people came over and looked at the damages. A full verbal and written estimate and explanation was provided on the spot. We agreed to the work and these amazing men went to work. This crew was TOP NOTCH. They worked non stop to remove the water soaked carpeting, remove the baseboards around my basement and cut holes in the walls for air circulation to prevent molding. Then several fans were placed around the rooms. They explained what would take place over the next few days and when they would be back to pick up the equipment. All of the guys were friendly, professional, neat, hardworking and did everything as promised without any surprises or hidden fees. This was not an easy job at all !The equipment was picked up, as promised, and followup calls were made by the office to see if were were satisfied with our services.I hope that I dont ever need restoration services again, but I can assure you that I wouldnt call anyone else except ServiceMaster by ZABA. I learned that the ServiceMasters are independently owned. I cannot speak for the other locations.....but based on my experience, there is no need to look elsewhere.I usually do not write on-line reviews, but I felt that this was something worth taking the time to share. A huge thanks to Brittany, Diana and the rest of the crew from Zaba. You made a really lousy situation in our basement so much easier!!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING !!!!!
Great company for water damage cleaning, arrived fast and helped with the insurance claims process. Would recommend to anyone.
Update: Work is (almost) complete (issues with granite in my kitchen, but Im living here now) and I have to say that I do love my condo. The floors look great, the cabinets look great, and so does the paint job. Despite a few things outstanding, I am going to say that I loved the service. There were a few hiccups along the way (there are always hiccups and youre bound to get frustrated at some point when your house is destroyed), but each time I called Service Master and they got on top of the situation. Service Master helped me during each part of the process and made sure to take care of me. Although I would prefer not to have to do this again, it is great to know that my insurance and the company rebuilding my house looked out for me.I returned from a vacation in Spain to find my condo covered in water. My Insurance company sent out ServiceMaster by Zaba. It was 9 PM at night and ServiceMaster came out right away and cleared out all of the water from the ceiling, floor, and walls. They were tired and had been up all day in horrible winter weather, but they stayed until everything was done. The crew had great attitudes.A few days later I had a pack out scheduled and they came and packed up all (and I mean all) of my stuff in my living room, kitchen, and spare room. There was one small glitch where we took down a light fixture in the hallway in order to get my couch out and they said that the people coming in 2 days could put it back on for me, but apparently it was connected to my condos internet connect (oops)... so I got a little yelled at, but that wasnt there fault we should have just put the fixture back right away. The next step was removing my hardwood floor that was damaged, cabinets, a foot of the walls (to prevent mold), and Island. The crew came it and removed everything in two days. They were all great. Then they worked closely with my Insurance company to come up with an estimate. I talked to ServiceMaster and to my adjuster about what needed to be done, but then they went and came to an agreement an the monetary figure. Also, because they work with my insurance company they new what kind of floor samples, etc would be needed. They helped me fill out all of the paperwork and mail it to my mortgage company in order to get them to sign off on the check my insurance company made out to the mortgage company and myself. Since they know this process, they new all of the documents that the mortgage company would need and would ask for.Lately Ive been a bit frustrated because things are moving slow to get the reconstruction started. I do understand why as they have communicated with me. They answer all of my calls and I think they understand my frustration. I had a good meeting today with the office manager who took the time to sit down with me and answer all of my questions. We are about ready to sign the contract and we should begin building in a day or two.I usually dont give out a perfect 5/5 rating and I think I gave them a 4 just because the whole project isnt finished yet. Once everything is done then hopeful I can update this post.
Remember that time when it rained 2 ½ inches in 30 minutes? Yeah. That night, within moments, my tenants’ garden apartment was literally under water: 9:30 at night, the three of us were running around, screaming, throwing towels everywhere, but it was like using a cotton ball to soak up a river. The next morning, I went on Yelp and randomly chose Servicemaster by Zaba to clean up the mess. Here’s how it went down: I called the Zaba office and the phone was answered immediately by a real person; my insurance information was recorded and I was told crews could be out within 30 minutes (!wow!); within that time, at least two trucks showed up, workers spilled out, and the mitigation began. Every bit of wet material - from carpet to drywall to cabinets -- was removed immediately to prevent mold and further damage, and what remained was sanitized. Drying equipment was placed throughout and the big dry out began. But then came a SNAFU. A big one. One that made me cry. My insurance (ALLSTATE) said they would deny the claim. Why? After first approving my claim, the adjuster came back and quoted my uneducated description, deciding against coverage. Mind you, the adjuster did NOT bother to visit the apartment. Moreover, I do not know an overhead injector pump from a sump pump, seepage from back up, sewer this or sewer that, or other specialized insurance lingo. All I knew is that water was ankle deep in my apartment and it was an unlivable mess. Now, Allstate was making it a catastrophe!!!!! So much for those “good hands!”However, I didn’t have to worry: Neil Omar, owner of Servicemaster by Zaba, personally came to my home to help me. We did a walk through of my whole place, looked at the pumps, drains, and sewer locations. Then, we got on the phone with Allstate and talked to the adjuster’s manager. Within a few minutes, my claim was approved.I am not naive that Neil had a vested interest in the deal. But if not for him, I would have gotten screwed. He would have gotten paid either way but, instead, he worked ON MY BEHALF. That’s customer service - for ZABA, the CUSTOMER comes first!
Called servicemaster after the roofers caused a big dusty mess in my apartment. They cleaned everything in my apartment, walls, ceilings, fans, cabinets, etc... they saved the day.
I needed an Estate Clean-out for my grandmother who passed a few weeks ago, I contacted a few companies before I came across ServiceMaster by Zaba. They stood out from all the other companies, they were understanding and compassionate, but more importantly they were efficient, thorough and very professional. The employees were great sorting through items, my grandmothers home is very large and it took 2 days for the clean out but they did an outstanding job and were priced very reasonably. This was not an easy task as I had to coordinate everything over the phone since I live in a different state but their office made it as easy as possible for me. As soon as I arrived it was straight to business. There were a few water leaks which caused mold in some areas of the house, I have already asked ServiceMaster by Zaba to come back and fix the water leaks and get rid of the mold. I trust them 100%, I am glad I came across this company and I definitely recommend them.Everyone else beware of who you hire, you might get a low price but you get what you pay for. Call the ServiceMaster by Zaba guys for a reasonable price and professional work.
Great response and service.
