Went to a few places around Chicago but they charged too much. Dont normally write reviews but this spot is top tier in price and service. Ive been here a few times now and each barber is incredibly detail-oriented and professional. You might need an appointment but easily worth the wait

Showed staff a photo of a recent haircut I liked and had hoped to replicate. Received a haircut that looked nothing like the photos, cut much too short and way too high. The part and fall lines aren’t even straight. Would not recommend.

I went for a haircut and i had one of the worst haircuts of my life, the guys there dont really understand instructions i dont know if it was a language barrier or something else. the guy who was cutting my hair didnt listen to my instructions and the guy just kept talking.

Moved to streeterville a year ago and couldn’t find a barber that had a modest price and cut hair well. I ended up going to Floyd’s and it was such an average haircut. I needed to look for something different. I search barbers near me, X5 came up and I went to the barbers Instagram pages and checked out there work. I book an appointment with Sam and I couldn’t be happier. He took his time and was meticulous, the attention to detail was spot on. I got a .5 fade blended into the top and scissor cut, the blending was great. I feel the price is perfect and affordable. Can’t wait to be back. I rarely leave reviews for places but I had to leave a review for this X5. Blessed.

As a parent Im very selective about who I trust to cut my sons hair because Ive had bad experiences growing up with few barbers able to cut mixed texture hair. So when I tell you these guys can cut all types of hair believe me!!! I had no problem with there barber at Kids Snips but these guys cut on a whole other level without irritating my five and nine year olds skin!!! So come out and bring the kids you wont be disappointed !

I found my barber in Chicago. I was a first time customer today and got a haircut/beard trim from Lucky. Service was outstanding, and Lucky must have spent 70 minutes on my cut making sure every detail was spot on.On top of everything he’s great conversation and made me feel welcome (I typically hate looking for a new shop, but had to after moving). X5 exceeded all expectations and I walked out feeling like I was taken care of. These guys know what they’re doing and charge fair, if not low prices for what they deliver. Great barbers with a really terrible reservations and booking system. Customers can be forced to wait for 45-60 minutes with an appointment. They dont really seem all that worried about it. Great fades though.

Alright here how it went down. Made an appt for Friday 5:15pm with Moe. I walked in 5:13 and he was still cutting someone’s hair and got done at 5:30. He got done and called me over, he did not sweep the old hair but used a hair dryer which is just wrong. Next, he cuts my hair and leave the front longer than the rest of the hair in the back. I wanted a square cut in the back and gave me rounded neck. The comb he used was dirty and his work station was not clean. Lastly, he used a straight razor to clean my neck and Moe didn’t even clean the blade. This is very serious because I could have got an infection. He also didn’t put and shaving creme which was bad and next day my neck was itchy and irritated. Do yourself a favor AVOIDE THIS PLACE AT ALL COST DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

First time I went and it was ok however they shave your neck with a straight razor without any shaving cream which creates redness and burns. Second time I waited until i finally left while they ate lunch while making a full room of people wait for a haircut. Terrible service, slow and not really sure they know what they are doing.

To begin with I give them 3 stars because at the last minute they solved the cut for my son, but in reality whoever was cutting it did not know what he was doing, he was an apprentice, it took more than 1:30 to top it off another one who was cutting ended up arguing with him in charge. A very bad experience since my son does not want to return because of how they pressured him so much with the trimmer and how long it took. Luckily the manager fixed the cut at the last minute and because I asked him to do it. Im not actually going back to this place. Very unpleasant everything that my son and I had to go through.
