Sales guy was good guy would recommend him besides Tye. However, I found out the dealership just took 5 Grands for me in warranties. They showed my monthly payment plan including warranties thats how they got me. They have to refund these warranty charges. Especially that I have just purchased the car yesterday. I will be calling them and I expect this to be solved immediately and not waiting for someone to be in office because this is theft as long if it did not get fixed. I will update this review based on how they will handle this. I still have some faith, will see.Update: I was able to work with the finance guy about the refund. Which is good so far. I will keep you updated if I have received it in my account and about the rest.
McGrath has always been top notch for purchases and service of my vehicles. I would not purchase from anyone else. I recently took my Acura in for service. They are very organized and set up an immediate appointment. I took my vehicle in and a loaner was waiting. My customer care representative Sam was assigned to me. He was very responsive and listened to my concerns. I got constant updates on my vehicle via text. I had some concerns about my wheels and the customer service team took great care of our vehicle. Dana, Justin and Sam were fantastic. The service we received went above and beyond. I cant thank the McGrath customer service team enough. I will never go anywhere else.
Update: They did reach back out and my sales person (Thomas) was very understanding and eager to rectify the situation. The lack of a call back is a front desk communication issue - this can be avoided as long as you retain the business card of the person you may want to get in contact with (I had forgot my sales person’s name, so I was just getting redirected to I don’t know who). Again, Thomas and the others I interacted with while I was there were great and now I am confident will continue to be so. I just needed to get in contact with them lol. Be very careful when going to this dealership - they will charge you “Processing Fees” and not go into detail on what it is. After you go through financing and see the breakdown of numbers, you’ll realize you’ve been overcharged by random charges they’ll make up on the whim! Just beware! You’ll end up calling them multiple times everyday and basically receive no answers or a legit explanation and be stuck with the vehicle.
As always, my experience at McGrath Acura Chicago was exceptional. Courteous and attentive staff members who treated me as a valued customer and afforded my RDX the thorough and necessary assessment despite a routine service call. I was disappointed that the customary car wash was, at most, incomplete. The film of dirt on the exterior of my Acura was very visible (on a sunny day) which, as I mentioned, was a disappointment. Four and a half stars would describe my overall experience.

So I just visited this Acura location for an oil change. The staff was awesome and the waiting area was convenient with Wi-fi access to do any work your need. I was told that I would receive a text detailing any and all recommendations that needed done on the vehicle.Sure enough, the text came. Didn’t pay much attention to most of it—but one in particular stood out: Transmission Fluid Was “dirty.” Funny thing was, I had just changed the fluid just a few months earlier at Acura in Morton Grove. So I thought: let me check the fluid. LO and behold: clean enough to drink.I told the service representative that they are literally lying to customers. They mentioned that they would talk to the technicians.Moral of story: don’t trust the service recommendations without a second opinion or unless you are sure.
I had an appointment at 4 p.m. I drove 1hr and a half to get there,when I get there oh that car is sold! It wouldve been nice if I had gottena call. Made me go out there for nothing.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am a loyal Acura customer and figured I would lease a vehicle here. The sales man was rude, acted as if I was wasting his time. He was disrespectful, raised his voice, and refused to initiate the process of initiating a sales agreement unless I agreed to purchased the car today. The Sales man had the attitude that I would be unable to afford this vehicle, little did he know that I am a physician who could easy afford to purchase the desired car TODAY! however due to the attitude of the sales rep, his lack of concern, problematic masculinity and lack appreciation of our business, I was forced to change brands completely. I will not recommend Acura McGrath to anyone. Manager was useless in providing any apology for the sales mans behavior. I will be sharing my experience with local media outlets and client relations…this experience was unacceptable.
Ask for Mario! We recently purchased a car from McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago. Mario assisted us with the purchase, we had some early reservations buying a car online out of state without having seen it live in person however Mario was super helpful to provide additional pictures, videos as well as answered all of our questions. He sent us paperwork ahead of time so we could have everything signed so when my daughter and I flew in to drive the car home we were in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. He even put a bow on the car for my daughter as an extra special touch. Mario and McGrath Acura provided exceptional service and made the entire car buying experience pleasant. We would definitely recommend Mario at McGrath Acura Downtown Chicago and will look to purchase cars from him again in the future.

If I could give 0 stars I would. But I guess the actual mechanic did their job so it deserves one…. this is more about the service and sales rep.Terrible experience with their service department. Declined 2 “recommended” service and yet arrived to them completing one of them and charging for it anyway. Service rep said that due to the mechanic already starting it when I declined he couldn’t take it off. I declined it when I first walked in before giving the keys and again when he called me on the phone. Then he had me sign a tablet not telling me what services it was for thinking he took it off. THEN called and told me again before writing an invoice and I said no don’t do that service and he said okay I will update it. AND HE STILL DID IT.Sounds like a you problem not a me problem mr. Jason Goodnight.This is the reason why going to your locals mom and pop shop is a better idea. Local auto repair companies typically don’t take advantage of you in order to make a buck because they understand the value of a repeat customer.I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Future sales and service- all of it.Acura sealed a goodnight and good riddance from me due to Mr. Goodnight the service rep. Sorry, but I have a no patience policy when it comes to stupidity and unwillingness to make things right.I’ll be seeing Lexus across the street real soon ;)
Not at all thrilled with today’s service appointment. Pricing of service and inspection was not properly explained at arrival. Asked if I wanted tire rotation. I had assumed it was included in the routine service so I said yes. Discovered later I paid $40 for that. I raised a couple of items that required inspection - brakes and suspension. Again it was not properly explained to me that each inspection would cost $90. (I was presented with an iPad and asked to sign without full explanation). Had it been explained to me that the brakes would have been looked at during the complimentary multi-point inspection I would not have requested they be inspected at a cost of $90. Following the inspections I was provided with a list of recommended fixes that ran to $2,800 (over and above the $300 paid for the routine service and inspections.). I choose not to undertake any of the fixes given the high prices. I will likely find an alternative provider to replace the brake pads and refinish the rotors. Not sure I will return to McGrath for future services given how today went.
I contacted McGrath on behalf of a family friend who appears to have been sold a bona fide lemon used car. Being a neutral third person to the situation, I attempted to contact management and left a polite voice mail requesting a return call. I will assist her with escalating further but its safe to say that if youre considering a used car purchase from McGrath, perform your due diligence because professionalism ceases after the sale is closed.
ZERO STARS: Buyers beware of this dealership. Be sure to steer clear of sales mgr Ryan - very deceptive. Contacted McGrath about an MDX for my daughter a few months ago. Prior to heading down, I asked for a copy of the figures so I could verify they were correct. They texted me a screen shot showing only the TOTAL - which wasnt correct. At the dealership I asked again for a breakdown of the charges and was shown the same screen shot again. I pressed the finance guy, stating the numbers werent correct. In comes Ryan, who proceeds to play stupid, like he doesnt know what the problem is and the number theyre showing me is correct. Finally he sits back and says, oh, its the add-on package. To which I reply, what add-on package Ryan?. Ryan added $2900 to the bill without advising me for paint and interior protection and plastic strips on the edges of the doors. $2900!! None of which I was advised or asked for. I asked him to remove it from the invoice. He said he cant. He then stated that all Acura dealers add for these items and all of McGraths cars have it. A bold-faced lied. I called other Acura dealers for posterity and they dont. I also called McGrath a few days later asking for a vehicle price and whether they charge for an add-on package. Maggie at McGrath informed me on the phone that no, they dont charge for add on packages. The price she quoted is the price. The story gets worse from there, but you get the message. Be on guard if you decide to step into this dealership. And steer clear of Ryan for certain.

Mario had all the paperwork ready before I arrived at the dealership. If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. Recently purchased a used car from here trusting all the good reviews. When I took the car home, it started running into problems. Decided to take it in to a mechanic the next day. They stated that the rust on the bottom of the car looked like it was driven over 100k miles when the odometer read just below 30k. Must have been turned back, or a new engine was put into it which is fraud. He advised me to return it to the dealership I got it from because the serivce work would well be over $2,000 and they havent even gotten to inspect the interiors yet. I tried to return the car within the 48 hours to the dealership. They told me that there was nothing they could do and would not take the car back. Going to have to dispute the amount with the credit card company because they were clearly no help whatsoever. Anyone who false advertises a vehicle should be criminaly liable. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
Not a great experience. The whole buying process took over 6 hours on a weekday in the middle of the day. After agreeing to the deal I waited so long, over 1 1/2 hours just for the finance guy, I was able to research, apply for, and receive approval for financing from an outside bank. And it turned out the rate I received was 50% lower than what the dealer offered me. The worst part, though, was a couple of days later when my daughter called me from the highway in the car on her first long trip. She said the drivers side tail light was literally falling off the car. There was nothing securing the front of the light to the car. She was over 150 miles away so I told her to go to a store and buy some tape to put on the light (see picture) so she could keep driving. McGrath talks about all of the quality checks used cars go through but they dont seem that thorough when they do it. I let my salesman and the used car sales manager know what happened the next day, showed them the pictures, but didnt receive any response. No surprise given all of the documents I had to sign stating I was buying the car as is and there wasnt any warranty. The car isnt that old- 2014 with about 80K- so I thought itd be a good purchase. Im not so sure now.Update 12/22- called and emailed using the contact information noted in the response from McGrath below. No response. Again, not surprised, but still held out a little hope for some kind of acknowledgement and resolution.
Everyone, I have worked with this dealership twice. This time the team is very rude and they change the number confirmed over the phone after credit check.Apart from this, they give false words of shipping accessories during purchase and later the sales person don’t respond. This is very awful attitude by their staff.Even the sales manager is very rude and throws attitude at customers.Very awful serviceI have been waiting for more than 7-weeks for accessories and later to hear the sales person is no more and the manager is so rude that he doesn’t even know how to speak to a customer.Being a manager his rude answer is “sales person gave you a word not us”.This is not the way to treat a returning customer.Hope McGrath Acura addresses these kind of issues and train their team to be more professional with customers.Thanks.

After browsing cars online for weeks I finally found one that I wanted to test drive. Upon arriving to the appointment to test drive, we found that the car I was interested in was sold. However, Mario helped me find an even nicer car for a better deal. He was very helpful and informative without being pushy. He answered all my questions regarding warranty and financing the car and was very patient with me. I had a very good experience financing my first vehicle here and will be happy to do business here again in the future!

This is the first time I have left a negative review about my experience with Acura service. Part of what I had done was an oil change Which I think they did (and I know I paid for) but I don’t know for certain because the oil light alert was not reset. Now I have to return to have them check and reset the alert. Secondly, the service representative told me I needed to have my front brakes replaced soon and quoted me the price which I approved but when I picked up the car, it appears that all that needed to be done was to have the brake pads replaced for a dramatically lesser price. That was a pleasant surprise but it leaves me scratching my head about my interaction with the service rep.Thirdly, and less importantly, they never washed my car which is the first time that has happened to me.And finally,, the service desk receptionist was quite rude and not helpful.I had to keep asking for things that she should have offered up to begin with.
Tell your service guys to learn basic driving skills when entering/exiting. Should be a skill to have when working on cars.
Came in for a quick oil change. Done in a timely manner. Came back to pick it up to see they gave it a wash and even rinsed off my weather tech floor mats. Great service.

Younger salesman but he is knowledgeable, personable, and punctual. He made sure all of my questions were answered and that I was happy both during and after the car buying process.The longest/most painful part was waiting for F/I and that is expected with any dealer. However, they were up front about how many were in line and how much longer it would be. That allowed us to run out and kill some time before we signed on the dotted line.Every employee I crossed paths with at McGrath Acura was friendly, respectful, and helpful.Super satisfied with my purchase.DONT FORGET TO CALL BRANDON LEWIN.

We had a pretty good service experience at this dealership. The Service Desk is a little hard to find and doesnt have a great/intuitive layout like many of the newest dealerships have, so it feels like a little more work to navigate.

The dealership is known for not exercising much patience with its guests. I called given a scheduling glitch that occurred on their part over the weekend. Myself, and about 10 other cars were lined up in the morning and the location never opened. When I called to ask about a makeup appointment, I was berated by male on the service line stating that he would not even consider providing a loaner car for my service request. In addition, instead of owning up for the fact that there was a computer glitch which he later stated, he started the conversation like a pseudocon man acting as if it was common knowledge that the location wouldnt be open. As I am in the market for a new car, I realize that I will be going to the suburbs or the Indiana and that I will never return to this dealer again for service. This isnt the first time that Ive dealt with some really weird customer service behavior, but enough is enough and I will no longer chalk it up to someone is having a bad day. The call ended with the guy saying what do you want. I wonder if everyone at this dealer spoken to the way Ive been spoken to on several occasions.
Great experience from beginning to end. I was reminded of my appointment, given choices. Sam later texted me to acknowledge my car is in service and everything went well.My car came home in good condition and yes it was cleaned, washed!! Thank you so much Sam and your team.
Easy EnoughWe came in thinking it might be time to trade in our current SUV. We sat down with Mario and began looking at what might work best for us, New, Used or a lease. After deciding on an MDX Mario patiently worked with us to get to a price we were all comfortable with. Mario is very experienced, personable and very easy to work with. I have no doubt wed be comfortable doing business with McGrath Acura and Mario in the future.

I brought my 2015 MDX in for an oil change. The service light had been on for over a month showing that I was now 1200 miles over due, but the tag in my window showed I was 700 miles below the recommended mileage for an oil change and still 2 months from the recommended date. Using synthetic oil allows for 6,000 miles and/or six months of driving time. I was given an explanation that this was because the car idles too much at stoplights and uses oil when the car isnt moving. This explanation did not apply to my driving but I let the topic go. Then after the oil was changed, the new sticker on the window shows 3,000 miles and 3 months time. I called the service technician who said the tags are old school and arent programmed for the new standards of 6,000 miles/6 months and that drivers should watch the dashboard for service dates. This is unacceptable. Any older or inexperienced driver would automatically take the car in every 3 months for service when it is not necessary. This is fraud and a car dealers way of making more money by preying on vulnerable people.

I just had my umpteenth oil change/5 point inspection at McGrath Acura yesterday. Aside from the cost rising a little bit over the years, they have always provided the excellent service; their technicians and managers are the best trained. Their customer service has always been exceptional. And they always explain the details and provide best and less than best options. I have owned Acura or Honda for the last 20+ yrs. and have had all 3 cars serviced at McGrath Acura. Yesterday, I had a question about the car that wasn’t covered under the 5-point inspection, they put the car back up on the lift, asked me to come out to the bay and had two technicians walk me back to front of the underbelly and answered in detail every question I had. In all, it took about 30 mnts. I never felt rushed and no one tried to upsell me, and there was no additional charge on my account. I have received 3 texts since yesterday. The first was when I checked in and from the tech who was assigned to the car, letting me know I can txt him at anytime during my cars service. When I left yesterday, I got a txt, asking if I had any lingering questions I may have not asked, and this morning, asking if I was satisfied with the service?outstanding. Jason was who helped me.
I came to here to get a quote. I left thinking I would have to wait a few months to get the new MSX. Simon reached back out to me and asked me what number would work for me. Within a few minutes he got back to me and told me he was able to get me there. Really satisfied with his efforts. The dealership is very nice & clean. The manager always greeted us. We specifically traveled to this Acura dealership to see a car not available on the south side. I have purchased 3 new cars in the last 4 years at other dealerships and I can honestly say our experience with Mario as a salesperson was the most thorough & conscientious we have ever encountered. He knows all cars inside & out, we discussed our other options and there was no pressure to buy the most expensive car we could have purchased. We left the lot with a car I really did not consider because of his expertise & ability to educate us and I’m so happy he took the time to make sure we test drove and investigated all options. Do not go to this dealership when buying a new or used car! They will rush you through the numbers just for you to find out later that there were all sorts of “fees” they didn’t cover in detail with you. Do not sign any papers until you know exactly what you’re being charged for!

Worst experience ever. We worked with a salesman who was very kind and nice. We test drove a few cars and finally decided to get one. Their manager increased the price by 995 as delivery fees and 500 as dealer surcharge instead of giving us deals what they initially promised on call. Wasted good 5 hours of our Saturday.
Great dealership experience overall. I was looking for a used vehicle to purchase as a work vehicle. (I drive 750-1000 mi/week so I had a very specific vehicle in mind I was looking for) I found one at this dealership and I’m glad I did. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Holly was a fantastic salesperson to work with. She made sure the car was ready and pulled inside the showroom when I arrived to look at it, and she was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. The condition of the vehicle was great and the dealership was quick to disclose any small defects that it did have (also provided carfax, inspection report, service records). I ended up purchasing the vehicle and taking it home that day. It was a quick and easy process aside from a little negotiating, but I expect that with any vehicle purchase. The manager I worked with, Ty, was also very pleasant to work with. He went above and beyond to make the deal happen when he didn’t have to, and I really appreciated that. I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a pleasant vehicle purchasing experience, especially Holly and Ty. Thanks guys!
Do NOT go to this car dealership, they will tell you nothing is wrong with the car and couple months later everything is breaking down on it and they don’t care ! Definitely don’t go to TYE LEE !!
My wife and I suddenly needed a car after finding out that ours was surprisingly totaled in a relatively ordinary fender bender.I found a car through Car Gurus that was for sale at McGrath, and we scheduled a test drive for the next morning. Due to my own scheduling hiccups, I had to cancel my appointment, but I was able to see the car later that day. Despite my errant scheduling, the folks at McGrath were flexible and happy to accommodate us, even as a blizzard was approaching.Mario was our salesman, and we ended up purchasing the car with him after having tested a few others earlier in the day. The whole process - tedious as it can be - was smooth and clear, and we left with a great car at a fair price.
We had Orlando Rocha as our sales representative. He was excellent! Knew ahead of time of all the vehicles we wanted to see. Made sure they were ready to go. Easy text message communication (which was our preference). Very informative. Great experience. In and out in a relatively quick timeframe (which being stuck at a dealership for a long time can be a pain). Great overall experience.

My car is almost a year old. This was my second visit. So far Ihave no complaints. Very easy to book service, I do that online via their app. They opened up on time. They serviced my vehicle within the allotted time. Everything was explained to me thoroughly. Nice, clean facilities.They did an excellent job with my car.

Been coming here for service on my 07 TL-S for a few years now. Just had an oil change today. Sam worked with me. Straight to the point, no BS service, and honestly for an oil change anywhere else, youll pay the same amount (~$50)...why not have it done right and be comfortable while you wait and get a free car wash? Even changed the battery in my key FOB for no charge. I will continue to use them for my service needs. Not a rip-off service center, at all.
I had a great experience! My appointment was at 7 am and they checked me in on time. The service staff was very friendly and helpful, and the lobby where I waited was clean and appropriately distanced.

Left message the night before. The next morning Anareli said the car was available. I offered a down payment but she said she couldn’t take it at the time. We waited 2 hours for them to call back and say the car was sold. They lied about the car being available and didn’t take payment for the car when offered. Definitely don’t waste your time here.
