Outstanding customer service, prices and trustworthy. I rarely go out of my way to post reviews but I was very pleased with my experience. I pulled in and was greeted by Eric, a friendly guy that took his time with me and explained everything thoroughly. I also dealt with Nick the owner who was just awesome. Usually women are treated differently in auto repair shops but I really felt comfortable. They repair pretty much everything as well. And it was fast too.

I came in for a oil change and to have my brakes checked. My sister forgot her walking cane at the store. We didnt realize that until we got home. Nick called and said he would bring it by my house on his way home.He went above custmer service. Thank you so much.

Came in after work for an oil change, the manager said appointment only and couldnt do the job for a week. Its an oil change! The mechanics were very friendly, and gave me suggestions, and options to help keep my car running right until I could get to another shop.

Took a prospective used car purchase here for inspection. They did a great and thorough job. Answered a lot of questions, talked me through what they saw, estimated cost to make repairs. Just what I needed, same day while I waited service, and a fair price.

Told me it would take 2 hours, then they said 4. When I seemed surprised, they decided maybe 3. Hourly labor rate is 145.00. Over priced and not a fun place to hang out for 2-4 hours. Got to see an employee smoke inside! Thought that was a thing of the past. Associate did not ask people to wear masks inside & nobody enforced social distancing. Since they apparently dont have a break room, they all came out to the front desk, took off their masks and ate lunch in front of me. Bad enough, but then I also got to hear their sexist lunch conversation!! Way to go guys! I bet your wife is totally cool with you telling customers and your colleagues about how much you used to cheat on her.

Im new to the area and didnt know where to take my Toyota Camry when the air conditioning stopped working. After calling around to get some quotes I decided to take it to Midas on Roosevelt Road. I wasnt disappointed. They did a great job keeping me informed as the repairs were made and didnt try to sell me on things I didnt need. The prices were very competitive too. Ill definitely go back next time my car needs any kind of service.

So happy they were able to fix my flat in a pinch. I highly recommend them

I was very impressed by the professionalism and honesty of this Midas location. As I sat waiting for my oil change on my Kia Soul I observed several customers come in thinking that, in addition to the services they had booked, they might have other issues. One guy thought he might need a new battery, and a woman thought she might need new brakes, for instance. The technicians discovered that the battery and the brakes were just fine and told the customers so instead of charging them for replacements. This Midas shop will be our go-to shop for oil changes, tires, repairs and anything else we need. Nick, the guy at the front, was great. He is the guy with the unenviable task of telling folks how much things might cost. I listened in to see if his quotes were reasonable and found they were (if anything a little below average). He was very kind and respectful (even when potential clients seemed frustrated by quoted amounts).

I dropped off truck early ..drop keys and left #and time and date and what to do on the rruck...just like they said.no calls from them..no status updates all day..I arrived in for the truck and wasnt ready...all o needed was wheel alignment..Ive never heard of taking all day..complained and they finally pulled it in..had tonwait another 2 hours for it..AND THEY STILL DIDNT DO IT RIGHT..

I used these guys because my truck broke down and I was in Chicago, figured Jesus I’m going to get bent over. Boy what I wrong, they got me in and out reasonably. They told me two hours and it ended up being three but it was because they wanted it done right. Which I believe they did

Man, these dudes where some tricksters with me! I go there to get oil done and check muffler, etc. This guy Nick wants to over charge me, cool I tell them Im going to leave. I go to start my truck and want start, Nick comes out and says its the battery. I know he was lying because the day before I had my battery, starter and alternator all checked out and everything was good. What they had the done was the guy with the tattoos on his arm moved my truck and put the gear shift and a position so my truck wouldnt start! THEY TRIED TO GET ME!

I had a lovely experience here. The team was super knowledgeable about all the issues my car was experiencing and were prompt with solutions. If any of my friends needed recommendations of somewhere to take their cars, this would be it.

Excellent service; they really stand behind their work/parts. I had a battery failed after 1.5 year for my BMW X5, I was in another state (GA) and could not come to their shop in IL for the repair/replacement, owner paid for the expensive battery replacement at Midas in GA over the phone, I highly praise their business practice.

I must say, this was the best experience with my car and its’ heat shield.I made the appointment, I came in the next morning and it took literally 10 minutes to fix my car.They even showed the rusted part that was making the noise.I was expecting the worse and was pleasantly surprised how kind and professional everyone was so early in the morning, and the coffee had not been made!I will spread the good news of Midas Mufflers on Roosevelt and Canal forever.Professional service with a smile!

Scott and his staff were tremendous when I took my car in to get fixed last week. I was hesitant to bring it to a shop in the city because these types of places are normally very busy and I wouldnt expect good customer service, but I am glad I did. This just became my spot for when I need a place to take my car in Chicago.

Had a stripped screw on the taillight casing when replacing the bulbs and unfortunately didn’t have the tools to fix. Midas took the car in, replaced the bulbs at no charge. Helpful, friendly folks. Definitely coming back for any car issues.

Absolutely phenomenal service. These guys are so friendly and can actually hold a genuine conversation. They did things for me that wasnt even in the estimate for free. Like putting on my bulbs for me that I bought at Auto-zone and even though they did not fit, they just put some they had in their shop for me. This morning my wife had a tire that was losing air.She was downtown and lives in the South Bend area.Looked on line for a repair and tire shop.Found Midas on Roosevelt and Canal with great reviews.My wife was able go make it there.The people working there assisted her as soon as she arrived.They decided the tire was bad,located a tire at a reasonable price,and she was on her way home with a safe tire.Thank you Midas for helping a female in an unknown area of Chicago.

Great place with friendly staff. A conventional oil change costs around 35$.If you are using a Groupon for 19$, beware that they do not do tire rotation, liquid top ups or even a safety check.Entrance to Midas is in the alley way next to the service center. And exit is through the Midas main garage door.

I go to this Midas muffler for oil changes I have been going for the past three and a half years. Mike and his crew mechanics and servicemen are really A Cut Above. I was recommended to this Midas years ago because of a customer service and now its been years and I still go there for service.I highly recommend this Midas location for good and fair customer service.

They did a great job! I had a nail in my tire and they plugged it quickly. Also, the price was very fair. A+ experience.

33 years and never wrote a review. Thats how bad this was. They smashed my car up in the garage so they said they would flatbed it to a shop to fix. Lo and behold they drove it. My car is lowered and is stick and also tuned. The clutch smelled as if a it was a teenagers first time in a 300 plus horsepower car. 30 miles were put on the odometer which they didnt offer to pay for gas. Remember they damaged my car. Then when I complained they bottomed out the front lip horrendously, heSaid I had no control over that, its so low. Funny I had the car two years and never bottomed it out. Garage is tiny so dont bring a nice car here. Actually just dont bring any car here

I really like this place since the staff is very friendly and it’s very close to school. Also they do not try to charge you more for something you don’t wanna do. (I did my oil changes here and I asked them to check weather do I need a tire rotation. They checked and told me my tires are fine and do the rotation next time when I do a oil change). Also I think prices are reasonable too.

This is a great place to get your car fixed. The staff is very friendly and Michael, the manager is very nice. I came for a flat tire; although, they were extremely busy at the moment, Michael asked to leave the tire and they will fix it. In a couple of hours, I got a call from him that it was fixed. I got there and in less than 10 mins, I was out of the shop.

Mike and Martin are the best! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I’m pretty sure they breathed another 100k miles of life into my car after they fixed my problem. This is by far the best auto shop I’ve been to. Thank you Mike and Martin!

I have been coming here routinely for two years. Mike and his team are excellent and perform great work. Stopped in on short notice for a tire patch over the weekend. The whole job took about 45 min and the staff was courteous and professional. I took a 1400 mile road trip this week with no issues at all. I would highly recommend this shop for their quick and professional service!

Every time I come here I never feel pressured or uncharged. They do great, honest work and are a bunch of very friendly, easy going people. I work near by and they have always worked extremely well with my work schedule. ( I had a breaks issue, that they could resolve free of charge. and I came in with a flat tire that they were able to patch instead of replace. Saving me $200!!!

Ive been a customer since the owner had a Precision Tune in Kearny Mesa ---- nearly 20 years ago.I followed Karim and his mechanics to this Chicago location, and I cant begin to summarize how satisfied Ive been.There are closer auto-shops to my home, but this is where Ill go always.PSAsk questions. No ones perfect. Do what you can to educate yourself, and speak up. These guys have no problems with your inquiries, and you become self aware.

I was sitting in the waiting area while my car was getting an oil change and I witnessed the staff offer to give a ride back home to a customer so they wouldnt have to walk in Sub-Zero weather while the car was being worked on. I cant speak for all Midas locations but this one really cares about its customers. Im always confident that Im getting a fair and honest price. Highly recommend for the South loop area.

Called to get an estimate for labor to put on new brake pads that I had already purchased. They said $150. Outrageous. Will never go there. Called 3 other independent shops and they all quoted me under $75. It doesnt cost $150 to put on some pads, guys.

4 stars just because they was really really good people Jimmy is a really cool guy. Now make sure your money right when you go there cause they prices is a little spicey but they will tell you all thats wrong with your car and give you the option to go with them or go elsewhere.

I love Mike but each and every time I have gone to get work done, I had to make 1 to 3 return visits. Someone left the cap off of the reservoir for the coolant...can we say engine damage? Engine smoking🤬 and bone dry leading to overheating!!! Another time my wires on the battery were not tightened and we were driving to Lake Geneva and we stopped for gas and the car stopped for good. Luckily a very nice man went under the hood and diagnosed the problem. We went into the gas station and bought a wrench to tighten it up. Easy fix, which actually makes me more disappointed as these were two very careless mistakes. Again, I love Mike and if it were not for him, I would give this Midas 1 star and potentially be contacting corporate. So, if anyone from Midas reads this, give him a raise or some recognition as he is a very likable guy with excellent customer service skills and patience. Midas, do better guys!

The staff here is so friendly and you can feel assured that they arent ripping you off. I never feel nickeled and dimed. I have no complaints about the service as well. Amazing experience, great rates on a brake and rotor replacement. They also took the time to figure out what was making a rattling noise, easy fix that other shops wouldnt take the time on. Fantastic service.

Brought my kia less than a month ago for an oil exchange a few days later hear my brakes. All good place check out your car and keep you post so you only need to change pass not alot more.

Staff was helpful, professional, and polite. Oil change took longer than estimated but I wasnt in a hurry. The entrance is in the rear via the alley which was confusing on my first visit.

Called this place to get an estimate on Brakes. They quoted me 139.00 per axle with a possible cost of 57.50 per axle to grind rotors. After taking my car in at 11 AM I was told they would call me when they have everything open and visible. I received a call at 3:45 PM explaining to me that they have looked over the brakes systems and the estimate will be 615.00. I was in complete shock, I went from a quote of 139 + 57 per axle to over 600 dollars. As I questioned the brakes cost he told me they were actually on sale for 100.00 per axle not 139.00, so for brakes front and back it should have been 200.00 and with rotors an additional 100.00, not 600. I asked how could brakes for a paid for 2008 Scion Xb cost 600. He started mumbling, he came back and said I need all these services, when I complained about the price he started saying he would remove certain work and things that didnt need to be done and the quote went to 350, sounded like what I was originally quoted so I asked what that would entail, he said they would replace the brakes but they could still makes noises. The reason I brought the car in was a rubbing sound, not grinding rotors a rubbing sound. It didnt make sense to spend 350 and still have the noise and I noticed it was 4PM, so I said let’s get this done, he said no matter what come to my location by 6PM. I ordered a taxi and right when the cab showed up he called back and said they needed to keep it another day or have me bring it back, I didnt want to deal with this for another day so I told him to finish the job, he kept trying to comfort me, it was as if the guys had been drinking slurring his voice and not making any sense, so it was the end of the day they had the car the whole time he calls me with a outrageous price, he calls me back drunk all while discussing a 600 dollar transaction and my car. It took 2 days for them to do brakes on a Scion Xb. Save yourself the headaches and go to a local shop, these guys carry a national brand but dont seem to take the customers seriously. This is why people dont trust mechanics because companies like this do bad business.

The service is great and the employees very courteous and knowledgeable also the in between oil change cap off and the tire pressure check is always convenient free of charge.
