Plane was small. Seats were ok. What was nice was they had 2 seats in a row. The plane had a lot of empty seats in the middle of the evening flight. I flight attendant for 90 percent of the plane. First class didnt look any different than the main seats. We were the first row seated right behind 1st class, and were last to be taken care of. Nice snacks.
This is a post in progress. So I will be updating. As of now our flight has been delayed 4 hours. The only thing ok about it is spirit. Has been very fast to update departure and arrival times. All the employees that we have interacted with have been kind and helpful. So far just horrible nothing but delay after delay after delay. At some point. When do we just get our money back. Cancel the flight give me a refund so I can never use this airline again

Red eye trip with Spirit. Anyone from flight LAX to Chicago OHare please feel free to pitch in. My first experience and not a so so.Starting with a nice boarding around 11:56 out of LAX, airplane was en route to Kansas and then decided to share with the travelers they couldnt land due to storm on the ground and were on the way to Kansas, but they were just given the okay to try to land so they turn back the plane. How is it you dont share the itinerary changes since there is no wifi or a map of the Airbus itinerary?!?! Good, attempting landing, didnt happen since the airport is apparently shut down and the plane was low on fuel the captain made the executive decision to get to Minneapolis to refuel.In Minneapolis one person was out the door while everyone else was told to be patient that shortly would take route back to Chicago. Trying to explain my connection flight that was missed I was told to get into my seat for departure back to OHareHey, what do you know?! By the time we landed in Chicago we had 8 hrs of flight we might as well be on an international flight.Moral of the story, not only did I get wrong direction when I was in Minneapolis ( mind you we had to stay aboard) but when arrived in Chicago I was plainly told I missed my flight and I would have to board another one in 24 hrs.An apology general email letter was sent to us all with a $50 voucher that probably gets you a carry-on or checked in luggage- conditional of use by August 15th, 2021.Let me tell you Spirit, even though your crew work hard, no doubt about it, I am not only disappointed but extremely sad to have family waiting for my arrival - another person I heard they were part of a wedding they missed because of this.I give one star for the effort your crew puts into being there somewhat and just before the eight hour we were offered complimentary water. I believe Nadia is the stewardess I asked if I would make my connection flight and she positively said YES. This before rerouting again inflight all the way to Minneapolis and back. Nadia, or whoever she was, I thank you for your positive attitude and I cant imagine to be in your shoes. So, now Im stranded in Chicago while Mom is waiting for me to come home. Im a FreeSpirit, and Im sorry but I suggest you change your name and management before someone other than myself will not be as pleasant. Flight attendants were very nice and knowledgeable. The seats were a little tight but our flight was less than 3 hours so we dealt with it just fine. Even though we were scared that our flight might cancel last minute, it didnt! It departed on time and arrived on time.. You cant beat the price.
Why should I pay for seat....so let them choose your sit.. nice flight all the same
Great flight! We were able to board pretty quickly and the flight was very comfortable for a budget flight. I did have an issue with paying for baggage through thr app. I had paid for two checked bags through the app and when I arrived at the airport in PHX they didnt show within the system. The lady at the desk was able to sort it out quickly though and it wasnt too much of a pain. While the flight was delayed, the crew did a great job at keeping everyone comfortable during the wait and we were able to make up some of the time in the air. On approach of ORD we did the always welcome maneuver of flying over the city and banking over Lake Michigan. I was able to snap these photos on the descent into OHare and we touched down smoothly. Great experience all around!
Such an easy wonderful friendly airline to fly! The prices are beyond fantastic! Bare fare pricing makes it easy to grab a backpack an go! They have really good last minute deals! Flights always seem to arrive early! Planes are clean an stuardist are always friendly an welcoming and smiling when greeting you!

Its a discount airline, they will charge you for any extra. As long as you understand that, you will have a good experience.I fly alot from Chicago to Myrtle Beach. Have never had a bad experience. I dont think I would want to fly over 3 hours because the seats are not overly comfortable.
Worst airline I have travelled with. They cancel your flights, flights get delayed and you lose your connecting flight, the attention is the worst, flight attendants are very rude, they never give you assistance when you need it. I have never heard someone say something good about this airline, just bad experiences. I think it is better to pay a little more but dont lose days of vacation being left at an airport with no assistance or responses for more than 12 hours. If I could give this airline negative stars or no stars at all I would, one star for the poor service they give you is more than they deserve.

I really enjoyed Spirit Airlines overall it was definitely the cheapest flight I could find, round trip was $64 from Chicago to Tampa so kudos to you guys. I felt like everybody on the flight was really friendly and professional. The air staff was awesome and aside from some belligerent passengers on the connecting flight from Houston to Chicago which made us Stan taxi down the plane for about 45 minutes as we had to wait for Chicago PD to come and escort them off the plane oh, it was great. Perhaps a little more discretion in serving your clientele or over serving them. But, who would have known that they were going to become so ridiculous. Obviously they werent fun drunks. I would definitely fly Spirit again. I also liked how you had to pay for everything instead of it being free because less people were eating on the flight which made less of a mess and you had to hear less people eating and snacking which to me is just overall gross when I have to hear people chewing next to me.
They lost my daughters car seat and still have not found it!!! Im not sure how youre unable to find a big car seat! I definitely will rethink traveling through spirit
Just the worst ever. How are they still in business???After an early morning check in at the gate, gate attendants boarded the plane and left me sleeping in a chair at the gate. No hmmm...I wonder if this sleeping girl at our gate is our missing passenger? Then they just left the gate unattended with me sleeping there. I had to get another flight on another airline. Then, since I missed my flight, Spirit automatically cancelled my return flight and did not inform me in any way (phone, email, texts, app, etc.). If that isnt bad enough, they refused to credit or refund my money because I missed my flights! Seriously, you cant make this up. STAY AWAY from SPIRIT! They are simply the WORST EVER.
I am a frequent flyer and my wife and I have used Spirit several times to fly for work and vacations. On several occasions they have cancelled our flights multiple times. We have received very poor customer service from both ticket agents and flight attendants. They have changed gates several times making us run all over the airport. They have lost our luggage even though we arrived several hours for them to store it on our plane. But most recently, they delayed our flight three times without an explanation. We are overall not happy with Spirit and will be taking our business elsewhere.
I disagree with the individual prices of everything. I think its ridiculous that you have to pay for seats in order sit next to your children on the plane. Also attendant should understand the airplane rules before explaining to passengers also she should be able to be understood while talking over the inner Com system giving instructions.

We were treated very nicely during our flights with Spirit Airlines. The flight attendants were good, the pilots were very good. We had a very smooth flight, even with the turbulence over the mountains. He kept us well informed.
I have had enough of This Arline been flying with them for years but my last 6 flights all have been delayed several hours with no type of communication ! At least they could do is email you and let you know in a timely manner.
Im not a fan of flying but the flights were both smooth so Im happy to have flown Spirit
We traveled economy, so nothing sure special there. The flights were good and the attendants helpful. On our flight back home the pilot and co-pilot noticed our children looking at them from the terminal window and opened the cockpit windows and waved to the kids and gave them the thumbs up sign. That was pretty cool for the kids and a nice gesture.
Cheap tickets, easy check-ins, flies to almost all major cities form ORD so no complaints.
I said Id never fly Spirit again after my first experience with them. While the flights were MUCH smoother than my first experience, the baggage situation on this second experience was awful. We paid for the Bundle It package which cost $59.50, and included a carry on. When we got to the airport, they told us we had to pay for the carry ons. Not only that, when we inquired, their systems had no record of a $59.50 package, even though its plastered all over their website. We will be disputing the charges. I shouldve stuck with my commitment to never fly Spirit again.
The flights going and coming were awesome. The tickets were inexpensive but the price goes up as you add things. 3 checked bags, seating together and beverages on the flight. If I flew alone, I would have checked a bag, but wouldnt have cared where I sat or purchased anything during the flight. It was the first time my girls were on a plan, so I spent whatever money necessary to make the experience positive. I would definitely fly Spirit again.
Worst customer service ever. Flight was cancelled. We were told it would take three days to get us home. Not what you want to hear traveling with two 80 year olds. One in a wheelchair. They provided no help and no compensation or assistance with hotel arrangements. They nickel and some you for everything an have awful cranky employees. I will never fly them again.
Very bad communication barrier with non-American customer service representatives. Phone calls always have 30 or more wait times. I do not recommend Spirit. All the issues are not worth their lower cost!
Through no fault of their own incoming to Chicago from Phoenix on Friday and departing Chicago to Phoenix Monday was delayed at least 1 hour for both flights. Flight attendants on Friday were very friendly and attentive to our needs while waiting for internet and computers to come back on line. Flight was smooth, landing very good. Kudos to the pilot and co-pilot. This was my first experience with Spirit and will definitely fly with you again.
Awesome airline.I particularly did not like the fact that we had to pay to check in a bag but besides that, the airline did an amazing job.
We just got to our hotel, the place is very nice, so give us give me time before I see more.
This is a low cost airline and the airplanes reflect that. I wont use this airline except as a last resort. However I must say that the flights were on time.
It was bad they had a return back to Florida and then they switch another another plane and then he got to Chicago really late but fine thank you it was fine

First flight ran smoothly, on time, and had a wonderful flight crew. The second flight boarded on time and was late there on. We hovered for an extended period and had to wait for a gate an extended period. In the end the second flight was about 90 minutes longer than anticipated.
I’ve flown with Spirit twice now, first time wasn’t on them but we ended up in Detroit instead of Chicago and once in Chicago we circled a lot and I have motion sickness and the pills were not helping so not fun but this time around idk who the pilot was but they did a great job! From take off to touchdown and getting to the gate it was all Ssooo smooth, I slept through the whole flight and there was no turbulence at landing! Man, if you were the pilot on Friday morning at 5:30am from New Orleans to Chicago you did a great job! Seriously! Thank you for a great experience!

Spirit airlines is great for the tight budget emergency trips but not preferred for choice airlines. American airlines is my go to #1 choice. The customer service is out of this world. Also, spirit airline flight attendants seem to all have less than friendly attitude and demeanor. That has been my experience on almost every one of the spirit flights Ive endured over the last 5 years. Just saying.
Not as bad as the negative comments that I have heard. Check in and boarding was smooth (but need more TSA agents during check in); overall about 45 mins-1 hr for entire process. I only gave them a 4 because the seats on the plane are extremely tight and uncomfortable. Not bad for a flight 4 hrs or under; but I dont think I would fly again just based on the uncomfortability of the seats; overall, plane staff were very nice & friendly!!!
Horrible my flight got canceled on the day Monday I was leaving. Got at the airport and there was a long line passengers upset till they told us that all flights going to Florida and back were all cancelled on Saturday prior for me leaving passengers were restless and taking it out on the agent behind the counters its not there fault. I asked for a refund and only got partial return fighting for the rest of my refund. Will not fly with them ever again. They charged cheap but charge outrageous baggage fee 100 per luggage!!
My bag was a hassle. Took out water bottle and a book to got in the slot. Barely escaped paying$65 for old clothes worth $10 at best. No one bothered me while coming. Thanks for the hassle
1st time flying spirit airlines. Im impatient. So, when my flight that is scheduled to leave at 12:52 p.m. boards all the passengers on time but, does not leave until 1:52 p.m.. Hell yeah you get 1 star. No one likes to be late for a vacation! You should give a free flight for the delay! Uncomfortable with 2 toddlers. 2 hr flight and an extra hour of sitting on a plane stationary. My time is worth a lot more than priceless. Next time Ill buy 6 tickets for southwest.
Ive flown Spirit many times. To Orlando, Las Vegas, Denver, Las Vegas (multiple times) from Chicago. Weve never had a cancellation (knock on wood). Our flights were on time. Its a no frills airline. This is how the price is cheap. Ive accepted that. Ive had mostly good experience with Spirit. Only downfalls have been baggage check in Orlando was a mess and they changed our San Diego itinerary to different crappier arrival times, I get it though, they changed the route schedules, just annoying when I had the perfect departure and arrival times booked. All in all, I still continue to fly Spirit, cant beat the price 😎✈️

The new planes have plenty of room and a tablet for every passenger to watch movies or play games during the flight. Only problem with them is, my brother passed away, I didnt need the flight back as I drove my deceased brothers truck back home and, they wont refund my return trip ticket. Disappointing
I wish I had free food reclining seats thats what I need cuz if yall had a high reclining seats and everything the only thing that I bought it is not a lot of walking like youre not an airline you know the airline has way more walking time but spirit I like more than the United airlines too much to walk to here Ill take you guys again even though my mom doesnt like you she gets stressed but I like yall you are pretty cool keep up the good work Spirit airlines

Honestly, great experience! Minimal delays. Short, direct flight at only $155 (round trip) Orlando to Chicago, and back. NOTE : To bring ANY LUGGAGE (Carry-on/Check-on) will be an additional $60 each way. Keep it in mind! I actually enjoyed the $4 ramen cup, thanks! xB^]
Great flight attendants that were extremely helpful to me as a mom flying alone with a 2 year old and a 4 year old! Staff was also very helpful in rebooking me on a direct flight the same day after just missing my flight by minutes for no added fees!
Have never had a problem flying with spirit. You get what you pay for, but you dont get much more for paying twice as much with another airline
Pleasant flying experience but the fees are insane! While the tickets were cheaper, going even a few pounds over the 40lb limit costs so much! I will likely be using different airlines with a higher bag limit - much cheaper in comparison!

Prices are great but they stick you on the suitcase I paid for a checked bag when I booked my flight then was charged again for my suitcase when I checked in I ended up paying $174 for something that was quoted as $64. My 8 yr old daughter was seated 10 rows away from me and 5 rows away from husband. Flight crew arranged for us to switch seats to sit with me. The flight crew were nice and the check in crew was pleasant as well but the boarding crew can use a lesson in being human
No snacks plus other airlines have 50lbs for luggage spirits is 40lbs. You have to fly another airlines if you DONT wanna pay 95 over fee cheapest to fly others airlines.
I was very satisfied with my flight going and coming.
They changed our flight and did not give us the seats we paid for. Gate agent at least got us seated together. On phone after 3 hours they gave us a $50 claim number, but then we were not able to use it for baggage. Only applies to tickets. All the crew and agents were really nice though. Seats are terribly tight and uncomfortable. Return flight was an hour and a half late. Not really worth the savings.
I will NEVER, EVER, EVER fly Spirit airlines again! My most recent experience with them has definitely made me arrive at this decision. They cant even give me a free ticket at this point. They nickel and dime customers for everything from baggage to in flight snacks and beverages including water. There website and app is always glitching, and screwed up my last reservation which they refused to refund me for. Customer service options are limited with very lengthy wait times! Id much rather pay more for a flight than deal with their shenanigans ever again!

First time flying 5/28/21 very clean, comfortable, friendly respectful flight attendants with customer service skills except the pushy women attendant at landing time. Charging outlets would of been great especially if we have to pay for your 1 carry-on, and a snack+ soda which they should be complementary for flying

Spirit Airlines tries to claim to be the most value in the air, but in reality they are a total farce. Their routes are good, but by the time you pay for airfare and get nickel and dimed for everything else, you actually pay more than any on other airline. My guess is that if they could charge you to breathe the air in their cabin, they would. Regretfully their excellent staff at the gate and on the plane often take the brunt of unhappiness that customers have of the company culture. Those people are just doing their job and are doing everything to make the experience palatable. Spirit Airlines policies and practices suck! Their routes and customer facing staff (not including phone support) are good. So if you can, fly another airline, but sometimes we have no choice and Spirit fills that void. As for the newly updated terminal at FLL, its beautiful, very modern and spacious.
So far 2 stars. I am pretty sure I wont fly this airline again .
The Chicago location was completely full, there was no open seats while wait, but the staff in Chicago most cordial.*This review is for the Tampa Airport. *One very bad apple at the Tampa gate A 20 made this trip a very bad experience. She didnt care about making sure I was taken care of, she was more concerned with singling out people. Yes, Spirit has a Karen. I said I didnt want to fly with them again she sealed the deal.

The absolute worst airlines I have ever flown on. I tried it 3 times and each time is worse than the last. Unbelievably bad and a HUGE RIP OFF.
The customer service whose excellent the check in when smooth even though there was A long line one of the worker was very helpful, we were able to have someone check us & the flight was very nice.
Spirit Airlines was nice.But I we paid 45.00 for my luggage and an additional 60.00 for it being 15 pounds over the 40 pound weight limut.So watch out my friends.And no free snacks on airplane.You pay for that too.So next time I want to find an airline that luggage and snacks are included.We paid a total of 260.00 for 2 luggages alone! For round trip! And possibly going to pay more money on way back for overage on my luggage.Dont get shocked like me!
I never write reviews but our spirit experience was horrible. They sent us an email saying they changed the flight departure from 1140 to 0020. So we reviewed it and okd it because we thought it meant that it was moved back 40 minutes. We went to get in our flight last night and it turned out they had actually pushed back our flight an entire day. They were rude and couldnt care less. We had to pay 500 additional dollars to switch our flight even though there were open seats on the flight we thought we were on. Then charged 85 dollars for luggage. Horrible customer service. Dont fly spirit.
I fly spirit regularly. You must know how to fly with them, like using a personal bag instead of checked, and dont ever expect a refund. I fly them if I need to get somewhere quick and for a short period of time like a weekend getaway. Otherwise, as long as your standards are low for an airline, theyre fine. But, if you have high standards and you take a chance because the ticket price is cheap, youll most likely be disappointed.
You get what you pay for and they got me where I was going for the low... Both flights round trip were delayed which didnt bother me too much but could be a concern for some... Especially if connecting

The flight was nice the stewardess were absolutely amazing very funny and super helpful they were super funny this was one of my favorite flights this shortest made my day and Im sure every single person on the plane was enjoying the flight ✈️ I didnt catch the stewardess name but he made a funny joke about his mother-in-law and everybody was laughing so hard thank you personally 🤣💯👨🏽💼
Flight was late but it could happen when leaving from Chicago airport. People stay talking about Spirit but hey they have to talk about something that wasnt right to them. My life would be more important than being on time. Appreciate that complainers. Keep having low fares & being safe Spirit co.
For all the nonsense talk about Spirit, I had a fantastic trip to Orlando with them!! Just know they offer nothing that you dont pay for ahead of time. Its like taking the bus!!

Flew from ft myers FL to Chicago OHare. Quite frankly it was flawless... spirit hits u for every little thing but if u know that going into it your good.
They didnt listen to a friends medical needs to have a seat close to ours, rather berated her for being an inconvenience to them. Staff was rude, ridiculous to deal with.
We had a slight discrepancy, but it was handled well. Although, they are a bit overpriced for plane tickets and bags. The landing was terrible and I thought we darn near lost our necks. I had a bit of neck pain from it. That made it scary as well.
