I will never fly royal Jordanian again.. I booked my flight online through American Airlines. When I arrived they said I’m allowed one bag, I advised I flew before while booked on American and never had an issue. They said I have to pay $250 for the 4th bag. I was frustrated that no one would even listen so I decided to just eat it and move on. I gave them my credit card they advised their card reader is down and can take cash only. This screamed red flag that someone is trying to pocket money. I refused to pay cash and basically said I can call the RJ phone number to process payment. As people continued to board I called and was on hold 45 min. Someone picked up that couldn’t speak English and said that they checked me in and he can’t do nothing now I advised the supervisor that because they checked meIn I cannot pay he said sorry I would have to now oh cash. I ended up paying cash but my bad experience didn’t stop there. As we took off my tv wasn’t working and I advised the attendant he said he will do a reset and after 3 hours and 4 resets he said he can look at another seat. I advised the seat infrontOf me “exit” seat is open and because my wife and 11month old with me I don’t want to be seated too far away. He said sorry it would have to be different seat, since exit is paid for..he will talk to Capitan. He disappeared for rest of flight. The only reason I flew RJ was for the direct to flight to amman from ohare I booked through Turkish on the return and was worth every penny as it was night and day from the service. That will be my new preferred airline along with Qatar as I flew them before I don’t mind a small layover as long as I don’t have to deal with a money hungry bad service airline

I will never fly with you again i had a flight from Chicago to Jordan it got canceled and i had to order an uber to the hotel from my own money because every bus arrives every 1 hour and i took a hotel after arguing with them because I’m 16 and I can’t have my own room and my flight is tomorrow at 8:20 pm and i have to check out from the hotel at 11 if i want to stay until i go to the airport i have to pay 120$ and I don’t have the money to do that I’m only 16 years old where am i supposed to stay after the check out??

They don’t answer the phone!! They only provide two meals on a 12-hour flight, plus their food is horrible! They don’t provide any snacks, you can even barely get water when you need it. I would give less than one star if I could. Their staff are horribly irresponsible and if you seek any type of help they will definitely turn you down and tell you “it’s unfortunate for you”!!! Seriously the worst flying experience I’ve had in my life! If you have an option to book your flight with other airlines than RJ then do not hesitate to do it. RJ will take your money and flip you off after you pay!! The luggage will take forever to get there as well, their staff can’t deal with passengers properly and nicely, they always have an attitude when you ask for help, and all you’ll get from them is the middle finger!! Again, Do NOT book with RJ if you have other options or get ready for your worst experience! They don’t even deserve this star

Its now been since February 2020 since my mother in law had stolen items from her bags from RJ, but the case cannot proceed as the dept. responsible for paying out is closed. 10 months to rectify a stolen luggage claim, and its still not resolved. Unacceptable. How is the insurance department closed, while flights are still being flown worldwide? Doesnt make sense. I have a case #, but nobody will respond anymore.

I traveled a lot and this is the worst airline and airport combination by far, I was traveling through O’Hare international and I lost my ticket. When I asked the Royal Jordanian manager(which was extremely difficult to get ahold of) if I could get another ticket, the manager said all the staff went home and the systems are shut down. It was 2:00pm during a weekday, what staff go home when flights are still ongoing? that doesn’t make any sense. So I asked the manager what should I do my flight leaves in 45 minutes and she said “sorry I have no idea”. Then it gets worse, since my layover was 2 hours, I received emails that my flight kept changing terminals and I had to run from one terminal to the next. Worst airport ever as well.

Boarding in Chicago was chaotic with all passengers rushing the gate at once and the crew was totally unable to control the situation and one flight attendant resorted to near-yelling at some passengers who obviously did not understand English.On a 12 hour flight from Chicago to Amman they give two meals with drinks and then no other services provided, except water and dinner rolls in the back. They begrudgingly give coffee, etc. outside of meal times. When I asked two of the flight attendants why they dont provide snacks like Emirates or Qatar airlines on such a long flight they said, You cant compare us to Qatar or Emirates, they are above us. I asked if they were saying they were a less superior airline and they both gave a hearty Yes! I asked why the ticket prices were the same and one of the attendants said, Yes, thats unfortunate for you.After a 12 hour return flight to Chicago 2 of my 3 kids were asleep and as I was trying to navigate an exit (after waiting for the entire plane to empty beforehand because I knew it would take a long time) the attendants were chatting in the front of the plane and one of the Male stewardesses sidestepped me with a sleeping child and walked to the front without offering help although I was obviously struggling.Im not expecting too much. For example, on the final leg of my trip on American Airlines the attendant immediately asked if I had someone helping me while simultaneously grabbing a bag and pulling it off the plane for me. That’s called basic courtesy.Bags took over an hour to arrive in Chicago.I will never so long as I live fly Royal Jordanian again. The allure of flying directly to Jordan is not worth it.

My sister had to leave with her daughter for a family emergency, and we called the Royal Jordanian office here in Chicago to get her on the flight 6 hours before departure. We got Vicky on the phone and she was able to change my sisters booking and get her the last seat on the airplane. I probably called her around 10 times, and every time she was courteous and helpful, also calling in to confirm that everything is in order and if we needed anything else. Thank you Vicky for being helpful and professional.

BEWARE OF THIS AIRLINE IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITYInstead of ensuring that passengers with disabilities have the necessary support to travel, Royal Jordanian takes an extortionary approach to Accessible Seats. They do not offer seat accommodations. Instead, they will charge you $100 per seat per leg of the journey to fly with them. They do not even consider a discount.I am traveling with my mother in March. She is over 75 and an amputee. She requires a cabin wheelchair and as much space as possible so that I can get up and help her out of her seat and into the cabin wheelchair. In order for us to have the much needed space to allow my mother to travel, it will cost us over $680 IN ADDITIONAL seat fees. Effectively, we are being charged another ticket so that I may sit next to her behind the bulkhead. This consequence for an elderly amputee attempting to travel. This is a horrible business practice and takes advantage of individuals who already have a hard time getting around every day and who are scared to travel because of how difficult it can be. Shame on Royal Jordanian for this practice.If you can fly another airline that is considerate of disabled passengers, please do.

I have been traveling internationally for 12 years and tried many airlines. I find the RJ services are the best; food is good, respectful flight attendants, some delays but not that bad, clean planes and most importantly feels like home once you step inside the plane.One star less for the customer services which could be improved. The local agents here in the US cannot change anything and you have to call internationally to Amman to make changes to flight.

Have been not allowed to board because of being 1 minute late. After insisting on boarding because of my commitments that cant be delayed, at 6:15 the “manager” said no we closed our gate and come tomorrow though their ticket says that boarding gate will close 20 minutes prior to take off which was at 7!. They made me pay 360 $ as a fine and I missed all of my commitments. Worst airline ever. I found many other trips to Jordan at the time of booking like turkish etc, but I picked RJ just being supportive to my country airlines, but unfortunately they don’t appreciate us as we do try to help them and be supportive

I had a very bad recent experience with Royal Jordanian Airlines. I missed my flight and I had the right to choose next flight ( Its shown on airline email to me)but it seems the Royal Jordanian Airlines doesnt care of customers and just trying to abuse the stucked passengers and make money by tricking customers! After many times calling the airline customer service, they asked me to pay minimun 2X of my original ticket price for rescheduling + $150 as rescheduling fee for my substitue flight while the other first class airlines offer flights cheaper than my original ticket price with Royal Jordanian in the same specific time! It means I lost my money with Royal Jordanian Airlines and I got stocked with my trip. I highly recomend if you want peace of mind, do not use the Royal Jordanian Airlines. Instead you can use other airlines with good customer service and good reputation. I never use this airline anymore in my life based on my own experience and others experience with this airline.

Beware of their hidden baggage fees.... ending up paying $250 for an extra suitcase for my travel....unheard of! I am a frequent traveler and this is the first time they pulled this on me. On my ticket as well as confirmation it showed extra bag would be a fee of $175, then when you get there they tell you it is actually $250... very disappointed with their dishonesty.

A month ago I went to Amman Jordon... very beautiful place- anyone looking for vacation place visit Amman ... I flew to Amman with the Royal Jordanian Airlines. Im not fond of flying but this airlines eas comfortable, cozy, I was able to sleep and stayed warm ih yheir cozy blanket. The food was yummy and customer services was great.

Worst cutomer service ever. No one will ever pick up, try any number. They prefer to flight with some seats empty rather than being flexible when a customer miss their flight due to weather issues and send him on a multistop connection flights just to reach to Amman eventually many hours later. They have lost my business for good.

Traveling my whole life and never ever had a worst experience with an airline. There is literally no way to contact them from the US only email which they do not answer. The OHare ticketing group are hired by a third-party who are rude and unhelpful. See all the ONE STARS??? DO NOT BOOK ON THIS AIRLINE!!!!!!

Hi, im writing for my father Abdulghani Ali trip to Istanbul, he checked in Chicago Ohare international airport 04/09/18 going to Amman to Istanbul and lost a bag with all the gifts that he bought to all my family in Istanbul, expensive gifts but the bag was lost and my father and mother got to Istanbul and waited 4 hrs for this bag to arrive and it never did, after several days their plan was changed from staying 2 days in Istanbul to 10 days under the assumption of getting the bag delivered to Istanbul so they can take it with to Marseen Turkey where the family lives...but we never did and the bag was found in Chicago after two weeks with no label or tag of any information identifying them or the original owner. my father had to stay in Istanbul for an additional 10 days hoping that he gets the bag deliver and that was not the case. after contacting some family friend that works at the airport here in Chicago /for the royal and that person had to physically go to the packaging room and look for the description we gave him for the bag that was lost. finally it was the bag but the sad to the end of this story is they found it when they came back and all the gifts that we bought we had to repurchase similar ones for the family overseas .for that i will personally not recommend anyone to go through what we went through from aggravation and discomfort. By the way, WE HAVE NOT YET GOTTEN THE BAG BACK. #DONT FLY WITH ROYAL! .

I was stuck in Suliamaniya, Iraq on July, 2016 due to the Turkish military coup. I called Royal Jordanian Airllnes and booked a one-way ticket to Chicago for $1,250. RJ call center refused to accept my credit card at 1:30 am. I needed to call back. When? Well...I THOUGHT that I could call between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for the payment. However, I called too late and lost my reservation. I paid $3,500 for a business class seat because I had a job interview back in America.AVOID THIS AIRLINE IF POSSIBLE!!!
