It is incomprehensible how unprepared this airline is for adverse weather events. On April 15th almost every single flight was cancelled due to freezing rain. This in itself is not Porters fault, however their poor ability to handle an event like this is simply unacceptable for an airline competing in a competitive market.Once they cancelled all the flights for the day, they automatically rebook you to a flight on the next day. For me, this was a deal breaker. I was going to miss my important meeting as my new flight was 21 hours later. I waited 1 hour in line at the airport and asked the agent to cancel my round trip flight and issue a refund because I had to now drive 4 hours and catch a 4 hour train ride. She told me however, that this was not possible. She only offered to issue a PARTIAL refund for the cancelled half of the trip and that should could only offer an expiring credit to fly their airline again in the next 12 months. No thank you. This is almost insulting.So I cancelled my flight in the online tool and was notified that I was actually eligible for a refund to the original payment method as my flight was cancelled (contrary to what their check in agent said at the airport).However, to get this refund to your credit card, you need to call their call center and get them to issue the credit I assume? I never found out because 50 other flights were trying to do the same thing and after sitting on hold for THREE HOURS and not getting an agent, then calling the next day and sitting on hold for ANOTHER HOUR, I still could not even talk to an agent to get my flight refunded.This is absolutely embarrassing for whomever runs the corporate strategy for this company. They force you to call into their center to get an actual refund when they cancel your flight hoping you just let your porter credit expire in your account after 12 months.Yes, the airport is convenient. But weather happens and this company has the absolute worst customer service or capability of handling normal airline events, that I will never ever fly them again.If you want to get somewhere, go to Pearson airport and call it a day. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to sit on hold for three hours to no answer on a day when your 1.5 hour travel plans become 10 hour travel plans.I wanted to love them, but boy did I have a bad experience.Porter, do yourself a favor and let customers get refunded to their payment method online when you cancel their flight. You are going to lose a lot of customers with customer service like this.

I enjoyed my flight from Chicago to Toronto. Very easy access to get to the Chicago Midway airport with public transit.The porter fight from Chicago lands right in the heart of downtown Toronto (Billy Bishop Airport).
