Wish I could give zero star. Very poor service. Unprofessional and lazy people working in customer service.They kept hanging my phone call, but the last Customer service agent Manish Singh was very polite, helpful and professional. He deserves a promotionThe flight is not maintained well . I would say worst flight in the world. They cheated me with the paid seat by selling my seat to another passenger and didnt even give me my refund.Biggest cheaters. Due to pandemic I couldnt travel with any other airline, so I had no choice than to travel by Air India .

Grossly understaffed. We counted over 500 people in front of us with only 4 desk agents to check us in. Your management should be laid off. Recommend coming 3-4 hours early to your flight.

During this unprecedented times their support and operations is a big win, although the flight entertainment could have been enabled for the long flights as kids are unable to pass on the time. Other than that there was no delay everything was on time per schedule kudos to them.

This airline deserves ZERO stars. A few years ago from Delhi to Chicago, Air India mistakenly sent a small plane and only departed with the people that came to the gate first. Never mind sending a whole plane to get everyone. This airline is a true disgrace and deserves to be banned in the USA, let alone the entire world. Horrible, horrible experience and YOU should NEVER fly with them. Tank their business and make this government run airline face the Department of Justice and go out of business.

I booked the ticket through Orbitz, while Orbitz says that the ticketing in progress, Air India Deducted the ticket fare. When I tried to confirm Orbitz say that the flight got cancelled but no acknowledgement from Air India that they will refund the money. No body acknowledges the refund of money where there was flight at at all first place. Air India hold the fees for 20 days - what do they do with the money for 20 days..god only knows

Air India smart asses charged us baggage fees again for the same flight, they do these sort of games all the time to waste people time, Intentionally they do these.. When I am showing them receipts that I paid 700$ to United for baggage fees, but they dont want to listen to you and simply ask your credit card to create a scene there, they did to all others with us everyone paid United Airlines in their Initial departure Air ports. but United and Air India are not willing to communicate with each other. Air India systems somehow doesnt have the info for connected airlines (Air India:- come out of your caves - see the world growing)Not sending old parents again through Air India.

If I could give no star, I would. Online checkin system pathetic. No seating arrangement before hand. 2.5 hours eating on the phone to resolve a simple question. Phone lines definetely from India as you cannot hear anything. People on the phone knowledgeable of what or what cannot be done. Long lines, lines, lines. Total mess.

Its not the Maharaja that it used to be but it is still a choice you can make without factoring in the price. However you can only appreciate it if you dont have preconceived notions and if you are able to challenge the norm of the today which is to look down on the airline. True that a lot of issues have been reported by the media on this airline and many are true. Passengers have also complained about the condition of the planes and I wont deny them. The reasons why I still believe in this airline are multifold - nationalism, love for Indian company in flight (no other airline has so much to offer for mid air conversations) and the best part of it all is to be able to directly reach India without changing over in a foreign country. I and my family have traveled domestic and international and luckily havent faced any issues and have had good experience. I have travelled by others including Qatar, Emirates, BA, AIR FRANCE and Lufthansa. No doubt that overall rating of Air India is lower than these and for right reasons. The others I listed do offer better quality experience but then they lack one thing - they arent Indian airlines. You can expect to get messed up with European airlines esp British Airlines and thats an experience that is going to hurt you more than a worn out seat! My suggestion is give this airline an unconditional try. If you try it without preconceived notions and at end of it still dont like then rule it out. Dont write it off without that!

I was traveling on 10/12/19. I paid extra just to avoid any layovers and ended up in nightmare. I usually dont travel with this airline as had so many bad experience with their costumer services and airline staff. however, I thought this time it could be little different but nope. my flight was delayed from Chicago by more than 10 hours and there were 0 communication. I also missed my connecting flight from delhi to ahemdabad and again end up waiting till another 11 hours. I tried to reach out to customer service on pervious day as I got to know that my flight was delayed by 4 hours and I will miss my meetings. after 5 hours of waiting over the phone for someone to pick up and explain what happened, there floor manager Anurag told me to cancel the flight and travel with some other airline. so I tried to contact someone via email I still havent received any respond and its been more than 2 and half days. please do not travel with this airline, as they are fraud and false promising.

This review of Air India, is based on its AI Flight 126 and also 127. AI 126 flies between Ohare International Airport (ORD, Chicago) to Terminal 3, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. It is direct flight to Delhi and scheduled to take 13 hours, non stoppage. Travelled on this sector twice and on both the times flight was as per the scheduled and there was no delay. However, Boeing 707 was older one and it was not comfortable specially lag space was not adequate. Check-in both sides was fine. Air India has potential to become much better than what it is but .... Food served on the flight was not at all satisfactory. Need drastic improvement. Forget about quality, even quantity of food served was not sufficient. Service within the aircraft too need improvement. This review is based on both ways flights took in 2013 and 2017.

I have never had an on time flight with Air India. I have flown on it 3 times (the third time by no choice as my flight on another airline was canceled)1st Trip: They overbooked the plane from London Going to Delhi. I had to stay at a hotel and wait for the flight the next day. On my return trip from Delhi to London they again overbooked the flight and I again had to stay at a hotel and catch the next flight.2nd Trip: Same as above3rd Trip: They boarded the plane and had us sit there without AC for 4 hours. They then fed us dinner on the plane and then announced that they had technical problems. The air hostesses were literally saying things like Oh my God, this has never happened before! It was 2am and I was traveling with my 2 year old daughter. We were then driven to a hotel only to find that they had no rooms available. We were then driven to another hotel where they did have rooms. The time was now 5 AM.This airline is so unorganized and the staff from the ticketing desk to the air crew is so unprofessional. I will never fly Air India.
