I just paid $600 more dollars than the $400 price agreed upon! Here is part of my text confirming the $400 price for my baby grand and console piano to be loaded onto a POD. After getting here, Eric said he did not know that the upright piano was upstairs and that was a $1000 job! We talked about this on the phone and he said he misunderstood! After they got a 3rd person because at this point Im moving today and had no choice, when Eric returned from getting a dolly, I showed him the text message becauseI wanted the price IN WRITING because Queen City movers jacked up their price last minute and thats how I got him!! He told me that he didnt read the message, even though he replied, yes. I have never paid more than $300 to have my baby grand and upright loaded or unloaded-even when my baby grand went up-and-down 18 steps and the people have never driven them anywhere! After I shared the text with him, Eric had the audacity to tell me that he wasnt doing anything else until I paid him $1,000 while he had my $12,000 baby grand piano on his truck (I had decided to let them store it)! Before they left, I couldnt get my Zelle payment to go to Erics phone number so when they got my console piano downstairs, I told him it said his phone number wasnt registered. Anyway, We got that resolved. He was standing behind me as I was on my bank account online to pay him. I asked him to move and he had the nerve to tell me that he was standing there waiting to get his money! I told him to get away while I was putting in my personal information on my bank account! Anyway, I wouldnt use him if he was the last piano mover on Earth! Dishonest, rude, unprofessional, and should have had the business acumen and integrity to take responsibility! I told him when I talked to him about the text that I thought at the least he would have said that it was his mistake and maybe we could meet in the middle, and I was still planning to have them store my pianos. Personally, I wouldnt have charged more than the $400 because it would have been my mistake and my responsibility. However, I have integrity and thats the difference! After raising the price $600 and the way he treated me, I do NOT recommend them at all.. Also, let me say I thought this was a different company! When I said oh, the other companys name, Eric did not correct me. I see why... because he has one and a 1/2 star ratings!Run, Forest Run! #DontUse!

We needed help to move our Piano. I think it is made out of led because it might be the heaviest thing on earth. We did some research and found that these guys are really good at moving items like this. The reviews were correct, they are very good.

Eric, owner of Moving Simplified, agreed to move my safe from my garage to my basement a month before I needed it moved. I kept in contact with him. He agreed to move to on Friday 3/19/21. He did not show up at the agreed time and did not call. I called him and he agreed to come the next day and make the move. Again he did not show up and did not call. I called him again and he said he hurt his finger. He agreed to come on Tuesday. Again he did not show up and did not call. I called him again and he said he would come on Wednesday.Again he did not show up and did not call. I do not recommend using this company. They are totally unreliable.

Good experience at the beginning. Moved a pool table for me in a timely fashion and at a reasonable price. I wasn’t around when they finished the job. Discovered later the table wasn’t level. Eric apologized and said they would take care of it, then proceeded to stop all communication. If you have the nerve to use them, I wouldn’t pay until the job is done.

We had to move my grandfathers vintage pool table down from Asheville. It is quite valuable, so just to be safe we had it insured before we moved it. Looking back we are glad we called Moving Simplified to help out. They were super careful from start to finish. I hope we never have to move it again, but if we do then Eric and his team will be doing it.

I have a 1200 pound very bulky item to move. Eric turned out to be great to work with. Call him on his cell or text him. He was very knowledgeable and efficient.

PART ONE:Very disappointed in this company. My mother in law hired them to move her out of our house and into a new home she purchased. The contract was for two movers and a truck. The morning of they called her and changed it to 3 men and jacked up the rate. The men had no moving equipment with them other than blankets. They left marks, holes, and dents in the walls in my home and my mother in laws. Some of the repairs will require more than spackle and paint. Its been over a week now and the owner is not returning any of our calls and has yet to send anyone out to review the damages and come up with a plan to fix them. Do not hire this company if you value your home and your furniture.PART TWO:Finally got a call back from the owner in less than an hour after posting PART ONE of this review. Totally disregarded the fact that he hadnt returned any texts or calls from my mother in law or myself. Asked for pictures of damages which I sent over to him. We tried to set a date for him to come out and see the damages and make repairs but were unable to find a date that worked for both of us. That part was fine. After I got back into town from being on vacation for a week I texted him. At first he had no idea who I was or what I was inquiring about (obviously I wasnt a priority to him). Finally agreed on a date for the following week. Then comes the catch: he wont come out to assess damages and make repairs until I take down PART ONE of my review which he claims is a lie! After several back and forths via text we could not come to an agreement so it looks like Ill be paying for repairs to my home out of my pocket.Again, dont hire this company. Dishonest, reckless, unprofessional.

This team was so good that they moved a baby grand and it didn’t have to be tuned. They were meticulous about every small detail dismantling moving and reassembling the instrument and went above and beyond my expectations! Can’t wait to use them for my move!!!

We contacted Moving Simplified to move a 600+ lb gun safe to an upstairs bedroom. Not only were we asking them to move something extremely heavy, we also have stairs that arent the easiest to navigate. They go half way up, make a 180 degree turn and go the rest of the way to the top. And they are wood with no carpet. The owner of Moving Simplified, said no problem and the price was great. The owner himself came along with a helper. They were on time, friendly, professional and put our minds at ease with the move. It was no small task getting that monster up the stairs, but the guys did an amazing job. I would recommend the company for any moving job and will use them again in the future. A++++

We recently used Moving Simplified to pack our house. We contacted the owner for estimates prior to work beginning and followed up with him a couple of times before moving day. He addressed all our questions and concerns. Moving day went very well. Three guys showed up with a truck as discussed. They were friendly and professional. This was a full day of work and the guys worked diligently and carefully all day. They did a great job of wrapping and protecting the furniture in the house. The owner came by during the day to make sure everything was going smoothly as planned. We observed the movers during the packing were pleased with the care they took in handling our belongings. We would recommend Moving Simplified for our friends and family, and would use them again if we move.

I was moving to town and had some heavy items that required movers, after talking with Eric we setup a date, his crew showed up at the scheduled time and executed without issues. They paid attention not to damage the homes interior and also thought through how best to get the items moved using the most direct path.

This company gets a one star simply because I cannot give them a zero. I asked them to move a piano. I forwarded a picture of where the piano needed to go. They still managed to place it in the wrong place. I had to get another moving crew to move the piano.

First time using Moving Simplified and Id have to say I was very impressed with the service I was offered. The owner (Eric) personally came out on the move day and took care of all of our requirements for a good $. These guys are very cordial & punctual and we will definitely be using this company in the future!

Absolutely, unprofessional. I called yesterday in a panic because another moving company, whom we had scheduled over a week ago, had called and cancelled on us with less than 24-hours notice. I spoke with a guy named Eric st Moving Simplified and he was nice and said he could fit us right in around lunchtime, meaning 12pm, of which time he had called later on in the day yesterday to confirm. It is now 1:30pm and no movers are anywhere to be seen. I have called the number listed on google twice. The first time, was around 12:50, no one answered so I left a voicemail to confirm that they would be coming and to return my call. 30 minutes later there was no return call, so I called a second time, of which went straight to a voicemail box. I tried a third time to make sure the call didnt get disconnected by accident and it went straight to a voicemail box again. I am absolutely livid. We needed to be out of our apartment today and at this point we have no way of getting our heavy furniture down two flights of stairs or any way to transport it. It is appalling that a company can be run so unprofessionally, especially when people are depending on them.

Do not use this company. After three confirmations about what needed to be moved, a baby grand piano, we expected Eric and his movers to be there between 830 and 9. He showed up at 11. This was an issue as the house was being closed on at 9. Thank goodness the buyer of the house was very accommodating as we waited...and waited. His explanation of “my guy broke his foot on Wednesday“, after numerous unreturned calls to his cell and business, seemed plausible, I suppose. But there was no communication about that even when we had confirmed mid-week. He finally did show up at 11 only to explain to me that my piano was not a baby grand piano at 6’. That it was a grand piano at 6’8” and that the cost would be near double. He now was going to have to get another person out there to help. As I was in a bind, though extremely angry, I said I would understand the extra man and even some extra charge if the description of the job had been made unclear to him but surely, as he was 3 hours late, he would be willing to work with me on price. He wasn’t. On top of that he was unsure if he could get another man and complained to me how “now this was going to throw off his entire day” despite HE BEING ALMOST THREE HOURS LATE TO THE JOB ANYHOW. I dismissed him and called another piano mover. A mover that I made sure to describe every inch of the piano to. A mover who told me absolutely that this piano constitutes a baby grand piano, albeit a large one. A mover who does work for the opera company in Charlotte. And a mover who gave me a better rate anyhow. Good riddance to this company. What kind of business, company, or even person, when someone who is over a barrel because of the house closing situation, gets to the job and tries to gouge the person? I’ll tell you...a cheat. If Eric spent more time worrying about his customers and less time providing tiresome excuses on the numerous negative reviews he’d probably have more positive feedback. Move simplified? What a joke. BBB claim filed.

Very horrible experience with this moving company. First off, he hired two inexperienced, young workers to move my furniture. They broke an expensive vanity and tore a brand new leather couch that was retailed at $1700!!! I vocally expressed my frustration with the Manager, but of course he wasnt trying to hear it. The movers kept lying saying those items were already torn and broken which was an ABSOLUTE LIE!! On top of that they were not knowledgeable on how to pack a storage. They just threw things in there without taking the time to properly place the items. One guy placed heavy ass boxes on my expensive couch!! Like seriously?!!! I had to tell him to take all boxes off my couch. DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY! I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE THEM TO MOVE ANYTHING!!!

As the saying goes no job too small or too big definitely applied with my experience. I phoned Moving Simplified Friday night to schedule an appointment for the next day to have about 8 big pieces of furniture moved from a POD sitting on my driveway into my house. Eric said no problem we can be there tomorrow and gave an exact time he could be there (I hate windows, thanks for promptness). The movers showed up and had everything moved inside The house within an hour. Eric and his company were very accommodating, Thank You

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING. I wish I would have seen the other reviews before I hired them but unfortunately I did not. Pieces of furniture was broken. The time estimate was way over what they predicted. The workers had nothing but horrible thing to say about the owner Eric and after the fact I understand why. Please pay a few more dollars and save yourself the headache.

Just had these guy unload a 30 trailer into a storage unit. The trailer was loaded by different movers at my last house, and these guys were able to load a 30 trailer full of items into a 10x20 and one smaller unit! I was amazed and very pleased with these hard working guys!People, please treat your movers right and theyll treat you right. Feed em, provide water and tip them. The guys at Moving Simplified work hard and they have great prices! They dont charge all the little extras that the competitors do.I highly recommend Moving Simplified, and I will be using their services again.

Ive used Eric and the crew at Moving Simplified for years. They have moved me a couple of times, along with my office. They are the best around. Great service, great price, friendly employees. What more could you ask for?

One of the legs of our grand piano came lose. We didnt want our huge piano crashing to the floor so we were panicked. Got online to look for a piano mover to help us stabilize it. Basically went through the list and Moving Simplified was the only one that answered their phone. They were able to come first thing the next morning. They did a thorough job and now my piano is as good as new. Great customer service, will definitely use them again.

I cannot say this enough... DO NOT USE MOVING SIMPLIFIED!!!!! I wish I had listened to the other bad reviews as I could have saved myself an entire day. In short, I had them booked to come at 9am, but they NEVER SHOWED. I only wish I could rate negative stars.. If you want the short story, read on..The movers were supposed to come at 9am, however, they had truck problems and couldnt be there until 1pm as they were down a truck. The movers did not have their cell phones on them (a likely story), and wouldnt answer the office or my phone calls. Eventually I received a call at 3:30 pm from one of the movers saying they had 20 more minutes and would be on the way. And that was the last I heard from them. Coincidentally, I knew the client the team was moving that caused them to be late to me. Not only did the movers not finish at 4, as promised, but it took them until 6pm that night. To top it all off, the movers never showed at my place after they left the client. I waited over an hour, giving them plenty of time to get to my house, and no one came.I lost an entire day by choosing Moving Simplified. And, to make matters worse, they are now dodging my phone calls at the office.I did eventually get moved, but with a different company (All My Sons - I will be writing an excellent review for them).

PLEASE NEVER USE MOVING SIMPLIFIED. They were available on short notice and had good pricing, and heres why: they break things and lose things. I didnt complain openly before because he gave me $1000 for breaking my king mattress (which cost $3200 to replace). Now the brand new prelit Christmas tree I bought after the holidays last year is missing and the owner isnt willing to do anything.They broke the mattress, lost my tree, and delivered a desk chair, headboard, and bedding that werent mine. 2 boxes of boots, shoes, and clothes are missing. They broke my piano bench. They delivered trash to the new house that they were supposed to remove from my old house. They hooked up my washer wrong (did come back to fix it). They knocked over our neighbors mailbox at the ground level & drove off (they paid to fix it after the neighbor called them).Tell all your friends and realtors not to use this company. Ive filed a complaint with the BBB (They already have several complaints)

Now that my glass dining table was damaged Eric will not answer my calls, texts, or emails. He said he would make it right but now he has disappeared. So hurtful after using him twice and tipping well and referring family to them. I am shocked and left with only eating table i have is damaged

We chose Moving Simplified because of their competitive price. However, Id choose them again because of the GREAT EXPERIENCE we had with them! We had 2 trucks and 4 men meet us in Asheville, NC to load up the house and deliver the next day in Charlotte, NC. Jonathan, Jonathan#2, Isaiah and Will did an AWESOME job!! They wrapped the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, covered the banisters, and hand carried several of the heaviest dressers from house to truck and again from truck to house. I can honestly say that nothing was broken, dinged, or even scratched, not even a door frame! The guys were extremely polite and eventually, let their hair down for a laugh or two with us. My sincere thanks to Eric for sending us his great team of movers!

UPDATE: After a great deal of persistent on our parts, the company provided a 15% refund which we finally received more than a year after the original move date. That is not enough to repair/ replace the pieces that were damaged in the move but it is better than nothing.Original Post:Terrible service.I had used them once before and aside from the guys being late, it went fairly well. This time was the complete opposite. They showed up late again, this time in a rented truck (not their own, like promised in their bogus guarantee) that was 17 feet (not the 26 feet promised) with one experienced mover and one guy that was on his first day (not a guess, he told us this and also did not bring gloves so after cutting his hand, I had to give him a pair) and obviously did not know what he was doing (clearly not professionally-trained employees as promised). Items were dropped off the truck, dropped onto other items, banged against walls, slid across hardwood floors, etc. They also spent a great deal of time packing, unpacking, and repacking the truck to try to make things fit, clearly would not have been an issue with the larger truck that was promised to us. In addition to that, they did not take my patio furniture and bicycle because they apparently would not fit in the truck. They failed to inform me of that though and by the time I went back to check on them, my bike had been stolen.After many calls to complain that day, Eric at Moving Simplified, offered a small discount at the time and ensured that he would make things right. He said he has repair people that can work on our furniture, walls, floors, etc but will simply not get back to us to schedule anything. We still have broken furniture, some of which is not even usable in its current state, scraped walls and floors, etc all in our new house. This was at the beginning of June. Since then we have had limited communication as he will not respond to emails. When I can get him on the phone he ensures me that he will go back to the email I sent with all of the damages and respond that day. After two months of this, with yesterday being the last time I was promised a response, I have to now warn people to stay away from this company. The prices may be lower than the bigger moving companies but it is for a reason. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra little bit to deal with professionals.

I only wish I could give this company zero stars!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My husband and I recently moved from the west and we had all of our furniture in 4 large storage units due to us not finding a house right when we moved. It was a very large job since we have a lot of furniture so we hired 4 guys and 2 trucks to move all of our stuff. I had asked Eric, the owner, for their most seasoned employees and needless to say the whole thing was a nightmare. 4 of the workers showed up, however, 1 of the workers informed us that it was his first day and he decided to leave without telling anyone during the middle of the move after only being on the job for a few hours. The other 3 workers were also clearly not professionally trained as it states on the website. They had no idea how to load the truck and they dropped several boxes out of the truck and were not careful with anything. Also, only 2 of the workers were even working fully due to one of the workers cramping. The job was also estimated to take only 10 hours and it lasted about 16 hours and they had to come back the following day because they didnt finish the job in one day. Eric, the owner, during this whole mess was contacted several times by me and he did nothing to resolve the issue. He wouldnt even come down to see what his workers were doing and didnt seem concerned whatsoever that one of his workers just left while on the job! He also didnt even offer any discount or anything for the whole disaster, I insisted that I was not going to pay what he had quoted me. On top of all of this mess, I had asked my son-in-law and another friend to come help which was already on top of my husband busting his butt running circles around these supposed professionally trained employees. The whole reason why we hired movers in the first place was so my husband wouldnt have to do anything and hiring a moving company would make moving a breeze. Using this company made it much more hectic and a more stressful situation than it would have been if we moved ourselves! They do not stand by anything they say on their website, the owner does not resolve any issued and the employees are not trained whatsoever. Do not ever use this company it will save you a ton of stress and hassle!!!

Booked these guys to move my 5500 sq ft home and I was amazed with the service that got form the first phone call I had with Eric they assured me that all of my belongings would be taken care of and they came in an took the most care of my antiques and collectibles and got the job done I was truly amazed and would refer anyone that have a move coming to call moving simplified

Up until the 2pm appointment I had today after closing on my house this morning I was prepared to give a 5 star review.Scheduled to meet movers with a 26 truck to load my storage unit, clean my new house, and unload the truck. Around 2:30 I contacted Eric as the movers hadnt arrived at the storage unit yet. No biggie, running late, very understandable. Eric texted back saying he would contact the driver and have him contact me with an ETA.At 3pm after exactly zero communication I decided to grab a late lunch. Called and texted Eric again to see if there was a miscommunication. Still waiting for a response. At 4:41. Well, actually I take that back. Im not waiting. I work about 65 hours a week and have very little free time available to get this move done, so I called All My Sons moving company and they agreed to meet me tomorrow morning.I read several excellent reviews for Moving Simplified and it seemed like they would, in fact, simplify my move. Turns out Eric and his professional movers are an unprofessional company who will waste your time.After working in restaurants for about 10 years I can tell you that people make mistakes. That is forgivable, its all in how you handle the customers complaint. As of now, my complaint had yet to be handled.Good luck conducting business like this in the future. I hope this review helps someone else in my situation who would rather save time than money in a stressful time such as this. You get one star because I couldnt leave ZERO.
