-Assigned Mack truck spacious for one person with great performance features, Bluetooth connection, Inverter with wall plug outlets, people-net with navigation, Prepass and a mini refrigerator.-No fuel location restrictions but preferably Coca-Cola terminals, Loves, Pilot and TA/Petros.-No inward facing camera.-Free Coca-Cola drink products terminals.-Company perks on uniforms and accessories.I admit things started out rough with my 1st coordinator quitting my first week. My new coordinator being fairly new and both of us learning together. Safety in following distance and speed is extremely important driving here. Orientation was 4 days and hotel is single occupancy.**If you are a driver and have any questions just send me a message.
I was driving on the highway, when I saw this, a truck that said, ”To honor God in all we do.” Seeing this made me very happy, then I saw “Old Glory” on the side, I am thankful for companies like these that love both God and our country. May God bless you for your testimony.👍🏻😂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Let my husband go just a few hours ago claiming he was speeding back on the 10 when asked to see the video both his DVO and my husband no one would contact him! Dropped him off stranded with no place to go stuck in Charlotte North Carolina. We tried getting him a rental and no one would take his navy federal credit card!! Unbelievable!!! He was an amazing driver never had issues!! This is how they treat you when they let you go for a bogus reason that is falsifying information!!! Also, this is how you treat retired vets? Leaving them stranded and his family struggling to find a way to get him home safe? Thankfully his daughter and son in law drove 10 HOURS to get him back home! I wouldn’t trust this company on my life! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to place yourself in their care for work! They will drop you off in the middle of no where locking you out and not returning calls to get answers. Filing false information on why they do it. Wrong and illegal He devoted almost a YEAR! God bless the new people you’re gonna need it! The first thing they give you when you join is their values based on God, family and business.. you tell me, does this sound like it is!!!
I will be updating this every so often. Been with the company 2 weeks. So far, one of the best experiences I’ve had with a trucking company. All the other drivers I’ve met are stand up guys and the few desk jockeys I’ve met were very respectful. Their equipment is top notch governed at 68 on the floor. They are running Mack anthems. The orientation was the best orientation I’ve been to. This is my 4th trucking company I’ve been with. If you make the cut and get hired you will be part of a great team. They pay for everything. Detention pay starts at 30 minutes at $21 an hour and they actually pay it. 9 payed holidays 2 weeks payed vacation 3 paid sick days. $250 for uniforms and $100 for boots. If you run hard and like being home. Give a recruiter a call. I had Ashley and she was fantastic.***Update***Been with RCT almost 3 months and it’s been fantastic. Easily the best company I’ve worked for.***Update***I absolutely love this company. Being a trucker, I’m always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Red Classic has kept every promise they’ve made. I’m out of the Piedmont terminal and it’s a great group of drivers and great group of managers. I highly recommend Red Classic***Update****I’ve been with this company for over 6 months. This is the most honest trucking company I’ve worked for. I love driving for them. The benefits are great and so is the equipment. My manager and dispatch treat me with respect and work with me to make sure I’m getting what I need out of my job. I can’t recommend RCT enough.
Had my company waiting for a rate confirmation for 3 days and never got it. very unprofessional
Brenden Bass was my broker. He refused to answer phone calls and or emails. He gave me the incorrect address and the wrong pickup number causing me to be late.I had to wait 4 hours to get loaded do to his poor quality of service and lack of response. How can coke allow horrible representation from their brokers?
Brett Nyenhuis is disrespectful and as unprofessional as can be! This is by far one of the worst broker interactions ive had.
Tracy C is the best damn recruiter..... drivers ask for Tracy
I have been at Red Classic for nearly 5 years and I couldnt be more happy. I have an awesome DM and FM. The management team is very supportive in any way that they can be and I always seem to get pretty good miles. As in trucking you can always expect a hiccup every now and then its how it is, if trucking were perfect no one would ever job hop, but its not perfect but if you find a place that youre happy then you just take good with the bad. You get what you put in, people that are unhappy never go the extra step or expect a hand out and when it doesnt go their way they rant in a review. As I said trucking is a rollercoaster but I have the Best support staff here at Red Classic that I could ever expect in a trucking company.
Lirers nothing but Lirers
Trace Caffrey is a wonderful recruiter. She is honest and very helpful. Have a question, she is always a phone call away. If you’re looking for a job I highly recommend talking to her. She will take care of you. Best of luck to you all.
My experience has been great. They try their best to keep u happy.. got me home for my wedding or whenever Ive requested.. they give you your info and let you do your job in peace.. you get treated like the professional you are here and safety really is the number 1 priority.. if youre one that needs to be baby sitted this isnt the place for you.. if youre a driver that knows how to handle business its great. My fleet manager is awesome and has understanding of how our days go and the things we run across out here.. they hire you to retire you being that you can be a professional.. it isnt perfect but we get thru it .. with all they offer and hold up to its hard to find a good carrier like this they are few and far in between.. Id recommend them any day
You’re just a number to them. They will treat you like garbage!
I have work here at red classic in Nashville Tn for a year and a half and I have not had any issues getting miles, I make $1000-1400 every week. My experience here has been great. The management team here in Nashville are the best. Thanks to Paul,Jason,Chris,Andy and Danielle I enjoy coming to work everyday.
I have been a dispatcher with Red Classic for almost two years and I love it! I have great teammates, a supportive manager, good pay & benefits, good working hours, and a challenging position. Its not a perfect place - nowhere is - but I am very glad that I applied to RC and hope to be here for years to come!
I spoke with Tracey Caffrey today. She was extremely knowledgeable polite and very helpful. As a truck driver making the move to owner operator she helped put me on the right path. Thank you Tracey for all the help. James Humphrey #Jahtrucking
Started having problems with my driver Manager, amd start to complain about the way he was doing his job. And they brought me to the Charlotte location and decided to fire me. There reason was a review after looking at the bendix system they decided to terminate my employment. Just funnt how i start to complain and they find a reason to fire me.
Good brokerage team. Been running loads for them for a little bit now and can’t complain. Pay is always there and loading is easy on off. Good company to haul for.
Was targeted with two write-ups within the first two months. How do I know I was targeted? Because after talking to other drivers at every opportunity, I still have yet to find another who didnt have a look of utter shock and bewilderment on his face when I told him why I was written up, much less that had been written up for the supposed infractions themselves. Basically, the Department of Labors definition of targeting. Every attempt to contact HR was met with silence on their end, despite multiple follow-ups. Was terminated for those write-ups. At one point, I was told by a representative of their *SAFETY DEPARTMENT*, Ed Akerberg, that I should get on Google maps on my phone, and scroll around and zoom in and out on the screen WHILE I WAS DRIVING to find a location. He also told me I should pull into the restaurants advertised on exit signs if I needed to park for any reason, thus confirming that he had ZERO understanding of the limitations of the vehicles he had been given authority over. The Charlotte dispatch is the most incompetent group of fools Ive ever had the displeasure to deal with. And Ive never worked for a company where communication was so completely non-existent.A 15+ year company driver gave me the best advice I received throughout my brief tenure with them, when I was riding with him my first week: Keep looking. Now I pass his wisdom on to you: KEEP. LOOKING.
You could do A LOT worse! Im on a dedicated lane. IF I could remain on said dedicated lane it would be 5 stars. Sometimes get used as an OTR driver. Excellent miles though..
Work in red classic for 2 weeks, my first check was 570$ the second was 350$, quit the same day :)they advertise 1200$ a week, they have drivers been there for 5 years and there best check was 900$ .To make that 900$ you have to drive night so all of your loads drop and hook, other than that NO you won’t make 1000$ a week .RED CLASSIC, don’t waste people time ...you ask for 2 years experience to start with, clean MVR and good driving record, those drivers won’t drive for you, go and find rookies those the one who would last with you guys 🤣
Best company Ive ever worked for. Above average pay, excellent benefits, and great peers. If your idea of work is coming in late, leaving early, and being lazy while youre here, you wont like it. If you have integrity mixed with a decent work ethic, youll fit right in with either the drivers or technicians and we are always looking for great new people.
Very professional and organized. They put a very big emphasis on driver satisfaction, benefits, home time etc. Its a smart focus. Not often do I see to this extent with the organizations I work with. Maybe if more companies took this approach this country wouldnt have such a driver shortage.
Just tried to merge over and one of their truckers ran me off the road purposely I had my 4 year old 2 year old and 5 month old in the car very careless edit ::REPORTED WHAT HAPPENED SPOKE AS ADVISED WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD BE CONTACTING ME NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE BAD FOR BUSINESSupdate it’s now been 11months and still no one had contacted me and nothing has been done !
Absolute worst company I ever worked for in my entire 22 year driving career. They are so scared that you might go over the speed limit that they cant get their loads delivered. If Red Classic Transit doesnt have a serious change in strategy very soon, other carriers will be hauling Coca Cola. Maybe Pepsi.
Did a load for them on May 30 2919. They received paperwork June 7. We are on quick pay. They have been telling us they are having computer problems for 3 weeks. If you book a load with them, then your taking a good chance of not being paid. Stay away
If I could leave a less amount I would. This is the worst work experience I have ever had working for a company. My driver manager didnt do his job and in the end because I called human resources I was fired. This is the biggest joke for a company I have ever seen. I have worked driving a tractor trailer since 2006. I do not reccomend this company to anyone under any circumstances.
Company is a joke kept me waiting 4 hours for a rate confirmation that was never sent, dont work with this guys dont waste yoyr time
Turnover is high due to incompetent management. I think around 50%-75% who work here would leave if they got another job offer with same amount of pay. Executive mgmt are liars and only care about lining their pockets with bonuses any way possible
Owner operators avoid this company!!! Theres no professionalism in the structuring of this company. The rates are low and they swear they are consistent with the average pay nationally. Who wants average??? Another blunder is the lack of communication in most all essential areas from dispatchers to management. Should there be information needed after normal business hours youll be at a loss sense dispatchers go home at 5pm. Phones role over to local drivers dispatchers who cant keep you moving. Lease owners from Quality Companies do not lease on, youll be stuck and upside down before you know it. Theyll run you enough to make payments but if youre taking care of home as well, dont lease here. Contrary to management they do take good care of a few drivers. Preferential treatment and miles go hand in hand. I could write a book about how awful this company is but Ive waisted enough time saying this much positivity about RTC. DONT be fooled by empty possibilities.
Excellent company, leadership and teammates. Highly recommend!
DRIVERS DONT WORK HERE!!! THEY ARE ALWAYS HIRING EVERY WEEK. I see the owner like to respond to make red classic look good. Since the trucks have EZ pass, you need to give drivers back all of the money they spent on tolls for your freight. Its not the drivers freight, now is it? They shouldnt have been responsible for tolls in the first place.
I just had to blind side across two streets and a corner for my 25 live load/unloaded in a row no one calls you except when Im driving so I cant pick up the phone one more vs moment and I quit
We had a driver pick up a load under Red Classic on 9/5/19. The driver had an appointment at noon, and got checked in at 11:52 am. He had to sit and wait for the load and wasnt released until 16:04. Detention time was not paid, after the Regional Operations Lead said he would have it added by the accounting team, and that the rate confirmation would be adjusted. It never happened.
I worked here only four months. Unfortunately for me, I didnt ask pertinent questions while they were recruiting me. I got really charmed by the fact that it was part of Coca Cola. So be that as it may, heres a few reasons why I think a truck driver may take issue with working here:-Terminals are mainly in North/South Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas. The thing is they dont welcome OTR drivers to park there. Because they are really a distribution company. The yards are full of day cabs and their trailers. There is no room for you there.-They either have no idea how to operate PeopleNet or they have a really barebones package. Either way, load information involved a lot of emails back and forth to my DM. And lord hamercy, dont forget to go off duty or into the sleeper at the end of the day. It will take an act of congress to get it corrected the next day so you can start work.-I never had so many 34 hour resets driving as I did with this company. Drivers cannot edit their logs at all.-I was written up for violating my HOS. Thats fine. I did it. I signed it. But a month later when I couldnt make it to a customer on time because my 70 would be up, they were really upset about that and wanted me to do it anyway. I reminded them of the previous write up. I refused to do it. They rescheduled finally. But it was a very uncomfortable situation.-If you dont live in the states mentioned above, there is no terminal for you to drop a trailer so you can go home. You are expected to take a trailer home no matter what. They dont want you to disconnect and bobtail home ever. Ok whatever.-After asking my DM for help looking at my payroll online, he just gave me minimal information. I still cant get into the system. It should be simpler.-Every now and then, I need a cash advance. This is not a standard offering at this company. I dont know why.-When I had to take leave because of a death in my family, I had to return the equipment to SC. I live in GA. They offered to get me a bus ticket home but i just had someone follow me.-They still do the bus ticket thing. If you dont live near the terminal. No rental car will be provided. Now, there are some positives to working here:-The company benefits are awesome. Period. Paid life, short and long term disability. Several plans to choose from at an excellent price weekly. I mean these are some of the best for any company out there. Its because it falls under the Coke umbrella.-This is absolutely the best equipment I have ever driven. Brand new automatic Mack trucks equipped with a 2500 watt inverter and refrigerator standard. With actual wall type outlets in the truck. Memory foam mattresses.-They dont hassle you about idle time and you can fuel where and when you need.-The maintenance department is pretty awesome. They are very efficient and dont waste your time.-Free sodas at the terminals, which because they are a distribution company are all inside city limits.-When my family emergency occurred, they were very responsive in getting me home.I know this was lengthy but during my leave, I weighed the pros and cons of working here. I decided not to return because:-I think they should not be recruiting people so far away from their main terminals. It was too inconvenient for me.-That whole ELD/emailing business.-The HOS situation.-Working here, I was going to work most every day driving my full 11 and being on duty 14. EVERYDAY. Which will results in 34 resets every week, nowhere near home.-I feel like as another reviewer stated that they are still mainly a distribution company trying to be OTR. But really, it feels like the OTR division is an afterthought.I did make good checks but the aggravations were not worth the benefits and equipment. You decide for yourself.
I was on the phone with a recruiter she was very rude and then hung up on me.
Best logistics company !!!!!
The best company that I have ever been a part of.
BE BLOODY NICE IF YOU ALL WOULD ANSWER THE PHONES
We really enjoy working with Red Classic. Watch your billing carefully though.
Great place to work. They are very friendly.
They lie n say they r goin to pay you for detention an they ar not...they act like there doin u a favor by messing over you.....all i can say is be prepared to get lied to an messed over!!!!!
I called last Thursday looking at joining the company left a message for recruiting bc I want more info and yet to have a call back
A great place to work at!
Great place to work and good Benifits
Be careful with these motherf...kers. They booking the loads with carriers, lying to them about delivery dates. We spent 3 days waiting . They do not have after hours help . TQL is better then them ..
Would Highly recommend avoiding this company they will say what needs to be said to get your business.have recorded conversations of them lying.
Don’t apply for this company! Mostly white males in higher up positions and lack of diversity. Will string you along interviewing other candidates and not straight forward at all.
Big Things are happening at Red Classic!
Thanks Evan, Taylor, Caroline, Nick.
What a joke do not us these people I did and they never showed up or called
Awesome Trucking Company with Beautiful Macks
Red classic is a joke, theyre dms treat theyre o/os like company drivers, they lie too you about working for coke, you in fact haul nothing but 40,000lb.+ loads of paper, they will over charge you on fuel and refuse to give it back,I had a 1000$ settlement taken with no explanation on my settlement and no repayment, the o/o division is run by one person,so if you have any problems, they never reach the proper person at coca-cola.do not work for these people
Good place to work.
