I cannot say enough good things about Alexander homestead. My wife and I got married there on 09/04/21 and everything start to finish top to bottom was perfect. The grounds are stunning, the staff is so friendly and professional. They are experts at weddings and take care of every detail so all you need to do is enjoy. Everyone makes you feel like family from your first tour of the grounds. Thank you so much for making our wedding such a special day and one we will never forget. Love Mike and Emily Learned.
From our first tour with AH, the staff was transparent of what the entire experience would look like and they did not disappoint. The entire wedding weekend was seamless because of the teams expertise and ability to communicate clearly. We were lucky enough to work with the owner closely, Tirzah, who is the catch all of traits. She’s incredibly committed to her company and clients, kind and understanding, consistently checked on us being OK all night long, ensuring our vision was carried out, protecting us from all bumps that came our way, and handles every situation and part of the experience with ease and grace. In addition to that, the venue is stunning, the guests raved about the food that is also a part of the package deal with AH, the full time staff was all professional and excellent at being so under the radar, you barely even noticed they were there. In a heart beat I would recommend to any family or friend to use this space and would do it all over again.
What an awesome experience! Once we decided the minimum size and date of our daughters wedding, we were supported in every way by AHs staff. Having the wedding and reception in one place is an added benefit. Joy, our Day of Coordinator, Gregg, the manager and the entire staff handled every detail and made our guests feel so welcomed. The grounds were beautiful, the ceremony was special and the reception was quite the party! Thank you for helping to make our daughters and son-in-laws day so special!
My sisters wedding was made perfect by the Alexander Homestead staff. They were transparent, kept everyone on schedule, and helped deflect any speed bumps so that the bride and groom were able to enjoy their day. And what a beautiful venue!
Do it, do it, do it!!!!!I cant begin to put into words how phenomenal our experience at Alexander Homestead was. Tirzah and the rest of her stuff were so understanding and were happy to work with us to accommodate & ensure our wedding was the perfect day, despite a handful of Covid concerns. In working with the team for over two years now, we have had nothing but consistently wonderful experiences. The AH team will always have a special place in my heart. On a practical level, for future brides, please do yourself the favor of taking advantage of the inclusive options at AH. Having almost all of our vendors organized by AH took a huge amount of stress out of the wedding planning process. There is a huge relief in knowing each vendor is comfortable with the venue, and I never once worried about the day. Not only did I have the most amazing night, my guests were blown away as well. They gushed over the beautiful venue and said it was the best wedding theyve been to! My only regret is that it went by too fast! Love you Tirzah & team!
We loved working with Alexander Homestead during the crazy COVID wedding planning process. They were always quick to respond and answer any question I or my husband had. We booked all of our venders through their list and it made it so easy- I didn’t want to stress about comparing cakes or flowers while I was working! The actual wedding day was seamless- we were able to focus on each other and our guests, while our wedding coordinator, Chris, worked with venders and our timeline to keep everything running smoothly. We are so grateful to Alexander Homestead for being a part of our best weekend ever.
What beautiful place. If you want a wedding reception this should be top of the list.
My brother was just married here! The venue was stunning, and everything turned out beautifully.Very nice!
My husband and I were guests at a wedding here recently and coming from out of state, we were in shock how gorgeous this venue was being so close to the City! The weather was perfect and the garden was in FULL bloom. The staff was very kind and treated us very professionally. We were asked a few times through out the night how we ere enjoying ourselves, which made us feel like it wasnt just another group of people. I hope another one of our family members has a wedding here so I have an excuse to come back LOL...
As the groom of the wedding I can say that it was the best experience I could have hoped for. Everything was very easy and stress free. The ceremony and reception looked amazing. Chris the coordinator helped us through every step of the day to give us the perfect wedding.
Trust me when I say CHOOSE THIS VENUE!!!!! I was so stressed, boggled down by thinking of all the details. AH team came in and took away ALL WORRIES!!!! They take care of literally everything. We felt so at ease and it doesn’t hurt that it’s SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! All of our guests loved it so much! Our wedding was perfect thanks to the AH team. I wish I could get married over and over again there!!!
As the mother of the bride, Alexander Homestead made my husband and I look really good! Everyone raved at how amazing the wedding and the reception were. It is 100% because of the incredible venue, staff, and recommended venders. While navigating delays due to Covid, Tirza and Chris were kind, calm, and encouraging. We were so thankful to finally be able to enjoy the celebration we’ve been waiting for. Thank you to all of the staff at Alexander Homestead for making it such a beautiful and memorable event.
Excellent venue for a wedding. They were ready for the rains we got and moved us inside in The Barn which was a nice place and set up well. The food was very good! It was kind of difficult to get out to meet my Uber driver, but that worked out.
The owners of this venue know their stuff!! Great place to host a wedding and not have to worry something may be missed! Five Star.
Our experience with Alexander Homestead was like love at first sight ! Everything from the house, bridal suite, the gazebo, the garden and the barn, is absolutely beautiful . Who would imagine such a beautiful venue is in the heart of Charlotte? it was so convenient for our in town and out of town guests. Having to postpone the wedding due to covid would not have been possible and stress free had it not been for AH and their team. They communicated with us constantly and were very understanding and quick to address all our concerns. Our wedding day went without a flaw ! their professionalism and attention to detail is admirable and made our day truly the BEST EVER. Great thanks to AH and their team, special shoutout to Chris for being the best coordinator. We would recommend AH to any couple and will forever hold it dear to our hearts .
This is an amazing venue with amazing owners! Beautifully detailed, breathtaking! You would not regret having your special day at this lovely venue.
I own Mountain House Estate in California, and Alexander Homestead Wedding participates in a professional venue group with us. When you see that a venue is concerned about doing a great job for their couples, and go the extra mile to join with other venues to offer their couples a better experience, it says something about the venue - they care.
I went to a wedding here. Its was absolutely gorgeous. I loved that the side of the barn opened up and they built a fire.
They did an amazing job with my grandsons wedding and all the activities, very organized and professional. Everyone had a great time!!
This is only a 2 vs. a 0 because the wedding and reception were aesthetically gorgeous; however, the venue staff were disrespectful and unpleasant. They accused guests of stealing, lied about alcohol inventory behind the bar, and overall embodied a negative energy. The prime wedding coordinator was especially incompetent.
Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. This venue, the people running it, the staff, the vendors? I could not have asked for a better experience. On top of the pandemic I had some interruptions in my personal life that needed attending to. The owners and our coordinator listened to what was going on in my life and immediately worked with me on how I could make this budget friendly again and have the best experience I could ask for.I felt like I was so well taken care of. While someone rudely in the past reviews complained about not having access to the bridal suite until 4, I will tell you it’s a perfect time for arrival and to get ready before the ceremony. I had plenty of time to take photos with my girls and to enjoy the space they were creating for our special day. You don’t feel like a sitting duck waiting for hours. Chris did a phenomenal job coordinating our ceremony, helping us walk out and sticking with our schedule. We had a final meeting (which they do with every bride) and talked for 2 hours going over the day and what it will look like. If I had any questions I would reach out and in a timely manner they would give us the answer we requested! The vendors they recommend are amazing. Jody from Pink Petunias is phenomenal, kind, and cares about their clients; the food was amazing; our photographer they Suggsted (they do not make you use any photographer I had requested their reccs:) ) was FANTASTIC (love you Mabyn!) and our DJ had everyone jumping up and down all night! They were so patient with us even when we were off our schedule (taking so many photos and loosing track of time) but not ONCE did our coordinator make us feel bad or made us feel rushed, she was kind, calm, patient and still managed to keep everything flowing effortlessly! We have had so many of our loved ones say this was the best wedding they have been to; complimented the venue and the staff running it; as a bride who spent over 1 year 1/2 with this venue, it was the BEST day of my life all thanks to Alexander Homestead. They are kind; truly loving and caring of their clients; communicative; professional; while also being personal and feel like you’re a friend rather than a client. If you love the idea of all the weight being lifted off of you; to have people in your corner wanting your day to go as beautiful and smooth as you’d like, and a gorgeous venue to say your I do’s? Alexander Homestead is your place. From the bottom of my heart; you all made my year and wedding such a beautiful experience; and this property on Shamrock Ln will forever hold a piece of my heart.Thank you thank you thank you for the best day of my life!❤️❤️❤️
Very nice venue for celebrating any event beautiful grounds
We got married at AH in May 2021. If you are type-A and/or your people like to party, this might not be the place for you.Pros-The space is STUNNING. Getting married there in May was truly perfect with the flowers in bloom.-It’s very convenient for guests. They don’t need to travel between the ceremony and reception, and it is 15 mins from Uptown hotels.-Not having to deal with rentals is convenient.Downsides-If your guests like to party, this is not the place for you. We received countless judgmental, condescending comments from staff about the amount of alcohol supplied/consumed. Cocktail hour rules are bizarre. No mimosas allowed in the bridal suite.-One of their taglines is “customize your experience without all the stress”, which is funny since I had the most stressful time trying to customize my experience. What they mean is, “use all of our preferred vendors and cookie cutter options.” I was made to feel like a huge inconvenience to them (especially for hiring a band).-Your coordinator will handle many of the logistics, but not all. You aren’t allowed to get to the venue until 4pm for a 6pm wedding, so a lot of the coordination of the day fell to me. In retrospect, I would have gone with a blank slate venue and hired a full-service planner hand-picked by me.Heres where the stars really start falling off: the staff. I felt I had to micromanage the coordinator leading up to the event. I was never provided a timeline or documentation. The morning of the wedding, she called me and said “we have a big problem”. Not telling the bride there is a huge problem the morning of the wedding is wedding planner 101.There was an honest mix up regarding our beer, which led to a pretty rude lecture over the phone the morning of my wedding that had me in tears.Last but certainly not least, I had the pleasure of working with the owner, since we were originally set to get married in May 2020 and she handled the postponement process in March 2020. It’s hard for me to put into words what a terrible and bizarre customer service experience this was. Simply put, she gaslighted her couples that had to postpone due to COVID. Everything was going to be fine!!! Spoiler alert: everything was not going to be fine. When we politely asked to push our wedding out an entire year, we were told no, choose a date in 2020 or winter 2021. We insisted on spring 2021, since we paid for a spring wedding and were confident the pandemic would last long. We were told we would need to pay an extra $5k/$6.5k (depending on day of week) to reserve a spring 2021 date. Because we had already paid a significant portion of the total bill, they had us trapped. They took full advantage of the situation. We paid $5k for a Friday and then got several reminders from her of what a HUGE FAVOR she was doing us by taking our $6.5k from May 2020 and providing zero services for that day. She would not stop saying “you’re so lucky I’m even letting you do this...other venues aren’t being this generous”. We have several friends whose weddings were postponed to the available date of their choice with not a single extra charge. But we should be thankful for her. A few weeks later we saw AH promoting free add-ons (like the fire pit or cocktail hour package) on Instagram for new people who signed contracts...never once were we offered any extra services or time for the $6,500 we flushed down the drain. We were nickel and dimed until the very end. It’s unjust enrichment. To top it all off, the owner was helping run the event the day of our wedding and never even came up to say “congrats!” or “hi!” or “thanks for the $6.5k donation!”If you’re laid back without a specific vision for your day and a global pandemic doesn’t blow up your wedding date, this is a beautiful place to get married, but the staff are not the people I’d ever want in my corner on my wedding day.My maid of honor said it best: just because you own a pretty garden doesn’t mean you can treat people like dirt.
We had our daughter’s wedding at AH Friday evening. It was a Beautiful day until time for the wedding. It literally poured for an hour. We went to plan B and had to go inside. No matter what; the wedding was perfect. Alexander Homestead brought out umbrellas and walked people in from their cars or gave them umbrellas to walk in with. Our daughter pulled up her dressed and walked barefoot through the puddles. She actually got married barefooted. But again, it was perfect. The rain stopped during the wedding so we were able to get awesome pictures by Siobhan before and after. Thank you AH for making it a wonderful day to remember. 💕💕
Nice venue, came here for a wedding, nice fun but was chilly for April night
This venue was absolutely beautiful! The best part was that my wedding coordinator, Christi West, did such a good job of taking care of everything! I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day. Everything was extremely organized and professional. I couldnt have been more pleased with my wedding day!
I went to a wedding here a week ago and man were the grounds so pretty. The wedding guest numbers were too big to have the reception there but the barn like space looked gorgeous and the flowers and small creek were so stunning. Highly recommend and the owners were there handing out water and making it as safe as possible for everyone.
Nice venue, friendly staff
Great staff and gorgeous venue. Would recommend to anyone! The food was hot when served and delicious. The fire pit area was a great place to hang out and enjoy a drink too!
Amazing venue! They were very helpful and accommodating even through this pandemic. They were insightful and absolutely a joy to work with.
An excellent venue for a wedding. The staff was wonderful as was the owner. So very personable and helpful.
There are not enough good things that I can say about this wedding venue. Everything about them was A+.We planned our wedding long distance from Salt Lake City, which was stressful enough on its own. But having a vendor that was as all inclusive as it was made the stress level significantly less. I worked with both Kristin and Christi, who are worth their weight in gold, to plan my wedding and I couldnt be happier with their services. Any time I called with a question, they were polite and understanding and talked me through the process with the patience of a saint. I was absolutely floored by how attentive, kind and professional Alexander Homestead was with every step of the wedding process.AH was wonderful in taking care of the smaller details, too. We had our rehearsal 2pm the day before the wedding and dropped off all the DIY decor that the venue didnt already have - seating chart, cake topper, lavender for the toss, pictures, rock candy...I left it with Kristin, and by the time of my wedding at 6pm the following night, the barn looked FLAWLESS. The babies breathe in the centerpieces, the raffia bows, the moss and natural stones. It looked like something from a bridal magazine and I really couldnt believe they had understood what I was hoping for so perfectly. The day of, Kristin was the most attentive Id ever seen. Whenever I started feeling anxious, she magically appeared with a reassuring smile to let me know that it would be all right. If I noticed that something was off -- like family wasnt sitting in a reserved row (which in turn left a full empty row) she was on it immediately. During the reception, she had our food set up for us from the buffet immediately so we didnt even need to get up or leave. Similarly, she grabbed meals for my 90 year old grandparents so they could also avoid the kerfuffle. I never had an empty water glass all night, nor did I have to worry about finer details of the schedule like when to cut the cake, when to do a garter toss or when to get ready with the grand exit. When our officiant was late to the ceremony and delayed everything by 30 minutes (food, photographs, DJ, shuttles) she took care of it. Even though wed only booked the venue through 11pm, she coordinated with everyone to make up the time so we could enjoy the full time of dancing, dining and celebration.Alexander Homestead -- Christi, Kristin and the staff -- even gave us a wedding gift. Im really excited to delve into it when I get the chance, but I dont want to leave what it is in my review in case other people decide to book!I am beyond ecstatic on how incredibly and professional this venue has been, and my only regret is that Im not sure how to do business with them in the future since Im already married.
I am so impressed with the professionalism of Tizra and her whole staff. They go above and beyond to create the perfect day!
Recently reminded of a staffer with feet up at the fire pit in middle of our event. The owners dismissed our complaints. Not so great.
As a wedding officiant, I have had the joy to perform a number of weddings at the Alexander Homestead. Let me say from my viewpoint why I think so highly of them. 1. The grounds and facilities are pristine and prepared for the event. 2. The staff is smartly dressed, works well as a team, is respectful of the guests and does their work well and professionally. 3. The wedding coordinators are well organized and do an excellent job working with the families of the bride and groom to put them at ease and to meet their needs. 4. Because as a full service venue they make it possible for the bride and groom to be more at ease on their big day. (That helps me greatly!) 5. They treat me with respect and work with me through the special needs of each couple I have had the privilege of marrying.
The Alexander Homestead Weddings team is so amazing! As a wedding photographer, I can speak to their level of professionalism and how they go above and beyond to serve each and every one of their clients. The property is so beautiful, and perfect for brides and grooms looking for an intimate wedding experience in the Charlotte area!!! :) -Kevyn Dixon Photography
My daughters wedding was planned two years in advance for May 30, 2020 at Alexander Homestead. And then Covid 19 happened. Tirzah worked with us tirelessly and compassionately as we all tried to maneuver through this difficult time of trying to reschedule a wedding during a world-wide pandemic. Through it all, Tirzah was always professional and patient with my daughter and myself. The wedding was rescheduled for the end of the summer and it had to be a good bit smaller in number due to the Covid restrictions, but it was absolutely beautiful and perfect! Our family will always be thankful to Tirzah and her staff at Alexander Homestead for helping our daughters wedding day be all that she has ever hoped for.
What an amazing venue! Super friendly staff and such a fun event to attend this past weekend. The food was delicious and the grounds were perfect for a fall wedding. Cant wait to attend future events at the Alexander Homestead!!!
We attended a wedding at this gorgeous property and it was one of the simplest, most beautiful venues we could have imagined.Every little detail was on point for the outdoor wedding. The grounds were lovely and lush, and the barn was gorgeous. The wait staff were professional and kind and helpful.
The venue is beautiful, and we made memories that will last a lifetime for my sons wedding. There were a few issues - The wrong music was played when the family entered ( Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton SO not appropriate) and the officiant did not follow instructions regarding key pieces of the ceremony. Make sure when you go for rehearsal that you actually rehearse - the coordinator was less than helpful here. Otherwise, everything was beautiful.
This wedding venue is amazing! I was a MOH for a wedding at this venue recently. The whole staff is detailed oriented and cares about the experience of everyone who visits their beautiful property. They even went as far to find me Advil for a headache, truly they are just wonderful people!
Great 💘 Lovely Absolutely Beautiful
Tirzah and her staff are welcoming and quickly become more than staff—they’re like family! The venue is gorgeous and modern with vintage charm.
My wife and I are wedding photographers and we shot our first wedding at Alexander Homestead Weddings 2 years ago! Since then we have been back 6 times in the past 2 years and every time the experience is the same, excellent! We average 70+ weddings per year so we get to see a lot of venues across the state and all over the east coast. In our opinion, AHW is one of the very best. Tirzah their owner is hands on, energetic, and client centered in her approach, you can tell her couples are her number 1 priority. We also love working with Christiana their planner. In our experience she’s always been on top of everything, friendly, and professional. For outside vendors like us, a team approach is so important to making sure a wedding day goes smooth and they truly embody that approach here. We have since booked two more weddings there this year and we are so excited to visit again! If you’re looking for one of the best venues in Charlotte, you need to visit Alexander Homestead, period.
I got married here last Friday! Let me tell you, this is the most incredible venue in Charlotte, NC!!!The staff, especially, Tirzah will go above and beyond for you. We met Chris a bit later on but she was so incredible and helpful. I cant say enough good things about them both.. about all of the staff.Their vendors are also amazing. All of our guests were so impressed by the DJ, Jill (All the Right Grooves). Ive actually never seen so many people dance at a wedding, although, I could be a bit bias on this.I could easily write an essay about Alexander Homestead but Ill leave it at this; AH will always have a place in my heart. It was the best night of our lives and I know any future bride/groom will have the same experience that we did!!
My wedding was a dream come true thanks to Alexander Homestead. Joy (the wedding coordinator) was AMAZING along with the staff, food, flowers, DJ (All the Right Grooves), and venue. My guests are still raving about it. You wont find anything better than this and the fact that its all-inclusive makes it even better. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here. You wont be disappointed.
Ive been to two weddings here now, and was Maid of Honor for one of those weddings. This venue is all inclusive and theyre AMAZING at covering all of the details! Beautiful outdoor and indoor space as well as a courteous and helpful staff.
Great location for wedding and dinner afterwards. The entire event was very well organized. The marriage took place outdoors and worked perfectly. Drinks and dinner were served in the barn and was very comfortable.
This company is amazing! They are so loving and genuine. They really care about making you happy and suiting your needs. Renee is very sweet and knows her way around weddings! Its just a plus that the property is really beautiful and historic! Thank you guys again!
Average staff and beautiful location. But this venue books 2 weddings in one day. They are quantity over quality and the bride is second to their standards of doing business.Any bride booking this venue will need to know youre not allowed on the property until 1-2 hours before your ceremony starts because of how they try to book 2 in 1 day. Even if youre their only wedding that day, they wont make exceptions. You may have someone doing a rehearsal before your wedding. If youre having your wedding here, consider booking a hotel somewhere nearby to get ready for your big day, and definitely do a first look so you can get your bridal party and romantic pictures done before the ceremony. You will be very rushed if you choose to do all your pictures plus family portraits afterwards.Lastly, their backup rain plans can be very confusing and they are known to force brides and grooms against their will. There is a tiny room with a tin room that you may be forced to use, even if its not raining at the exact time of your ceremony. As a wedding professional, I have had both good and bad experiences there and the staff is hit or miss. There are plenty of other locations that are just as beautiful and more accommodating to their clients.
I used to work here so I know this place has the best owners, staff, and service providers in the industry.
What wedding venue tows your car if you drink too much and leave it overnight? This one. Maybe a great place to host a Mormon wedding. However, food was good and venue was well maintained and beautiful with air conditioning in the barn.
After looking at many reception venue styles my daughter, to my surprise, selected a barn. I can assure you her reception could not have been more elegant. Dont let the word barn keep you from looking at the Alexander Homestead. It was like a fairy tale! We did not have a wedding planner and one was not needed. We had Christi! We brought many of our own touches but the ideas she had were beyond belief and we incorporated those as well. We were made to feel we were Christis only clients. Our calls and emails were answered within 24 hours. Any concerns were quickly put to rest and we were so at ease knowing she had everything under control. We used many of their vendors and they were awesome! Knowing they had been at the venue many times before was comforting. The food was delicious, served warm and quickly. My daughter said to me that evening: it was everything I dreamed it would be. Enough said!
Amazing venue, simply beautiful.....
Nice house and garden but I was a wedding guest and prefer a different environment to that barn....the wedding in the garden was ok
Nice venue for a wedding
Where do I even begin...Alexander Homestead was the perfect place for our wedding. Christi and Tirzah were incredible and helped make my dream wedding come true. They were able to answer every question and made accommodations to make our wedding perfect. The staff were super friendly as well. Most of guest were from out of town and kept telling my husband and I how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was!
Good location, nice staff, and surprisingly good banquets food (at least compared to a lot of large scale banquets food Ive had in the past). However the traffic noise is not ideal. Not their fault but it did get a little annoying during the wedding ceremony.
Great wedding venue. Curteous staff. Good recommended vendors for flowers, cake, DJ and especially photographers. Ask about rules regarding alcohol and and duration of event at venue. Food portions were incredibly small and just average quality.
My wifes cousin had her wedding here, and what a beautiful place for a wedding! The old barn decor made this an exceptionally cozy place. The food was great and the dancing went on all night.
Very good friends were married here recently and it was a lovely place. Great atmosphere and the food was excellent.
As a father of the Bride I couldnt be happier with the venue and staff of Alexander Homestead. My daughters March Wedding couldnt have gone better. Kristin, our planner and director, did an outstanding job! She was responsive when we had questions, accommodating where we needed customizations, attentive, patient and professional during the ceremony. Kristin was generally on top of everything for our time at Alexander. Jim, the officiant, was also a high point of the ceremony. He exceeded our expectations by tailoring the vows to our bride and groom and made us all feel special during the ceremony. The facility was immaculate, the food was excellent, and the reception staff were professional and attentive to our guests needs. The bottom line is my wife and I couldnt have asked for a better event for our daughter and her husband. Thank you for everything.
Love it, love it, love it. Didnt know you where in the middle of Charlotte North Carolina
Beautiful place for a wedding however plan on not leaving your vehicle. They should expect people to enjoy a wedding. A gated parking area across the street would be a great addition. Not parking at a school or church overnight.
Attended for a friends wedding! Beautiful venue, very friendly staff! The food was great. Overall great experience!
Very Nice!!!
Nice atmosphere, not ostentatious and nice staff.
Super friendly staff. Terrific wedding. Trevor was awesome.
Good food friendly staff. Beautiful grounds
Poor experience. You would think that the owner Tirzah would be more kind to her customers. Nope. Very rude and would not recommend this location and venue to anyone.
Incredible venue, wonderful staff and grounds!
Very nice location for a wedding. Nice mix of photo opportunities. Intimate feeling.
Trevor was an amazing employee. Bon fire was on point. A+
Beautiful venue and attentive staff and my friends wedding. Had a great time!
I was there at the Lasiter wedding this past Saturday and had a terrible experience with your staff. They could not find my tent card, they asked who I came with, asked what other name is it under.....then said “we will put you somewhere”.This really wasn’t a big deal, but their attitude and disconcern made it one for me.I explained.....I was by myself, I had dropped my rsvp in my neighbors mailbox weeks ago (brides parents mailbox) and they looked like they could not be bothered. At one point to girl with the headset said “well, he will just have to wait (to her coworker) “I’m dealing with the wedding party.I waited around for probably a half hour.No apology, very uncaring and unprofessional. Totally made me feel unwelcome and ruined the night for me.I walked out.Would never recommend your place to anyone.Tom Underwood.
Great place to have a wedding
Had our wedding here and it was great. Would highly recommend.
I had my wedding here and attended a friends wedding here. Both occasions were perfection.
Hands down the best venue in Charlotte, NC and the best experience you are going to find! PLUS for a really fair and reasonable price! We book this venue about 11 months before our wedding. The factors on why we initially chose this place is because it was incredibly gorgeous and hidden. Unless you come onto the venues property, you have no idea what it has to offer. It provides privacy by being gated, and convenient to downtown or university area. The venue offers catering, cake, DJ and Photography (only requirement is to use their caterer, besides that the others are recommendations). It made our process so easy to just deal with one person for everything. And this one person was the key to making our wedding successful and spectacular and eventually she is the reason why I would recommend anyone to pick this venue. Her named Christi West. She is an amazing wedding coordinator! The level of service she provide is incredible. No doubt she will make sure that the Bride will not have to worry about anything on the wedding day, but to enjoy and relax...which is what I did! Her staff members are PROS! They know what they are doing, I was never once worried at all about something being messed up. They were so nice, our guest invited them to the awesome photo booth for pictures! Our DJ from A.H. was amazing, we had guests immediately asking for his number for other events. and our cake was spectacular. Overall, I believe that I had the best wedding I could ever ask for in my life and it was all due to Alexander Homestead and their incredible team! and best of all I did not break my bank....You cant ask for more than that!
Best venue around!
A pleasant venue to officiate a wedding!
Very beautiful for a wedding or any occasion lots of parking
Looks like a pretty nice place!
Everything was beautiful, that was about it. It was pouring down rain at my wedding. I had to leave my wedding at 8pm to go to the bridal suite to get all of my things because it had to be cleaned, now. My dress was soaked, I had to walk through the grass and gravel parking lot carrying bins and bags all by myself. The staff watched and waited for me to get back so they could lock the bridal suite. No one offered to help. I dont understand why that couldnt be done after the wedding. I had to walk back to the reception room soaked. The DJ was awful and extremly rude. He did not take any request, and was very rude to all of my family and friends. During my brother in laws toast, he had asked the DJ to play a song for me as an ending to his toast and he denied him in front of the enitre room over the mic. He did not smile once, and made the dance floor feel miserable. My brother in law also left his phone in the bridal suite and asked if he could get it and the staff refused to unlock the doors, or to go and check for him. My sister helped me cut my second peice of cake, and to bring humor to our wedding, she through the cake in my face. Everyone loved it and thought it was funny except for the wedding staff and coordinator. They were furious and looked at my sister like she had done something wrong. Also, when the parents were introduced into the reception room, the DJ very rudly, called my DIVORCED parents as a couple. Each of my divorced parents had their own dates lined up ready to be escorted and they had no clue what to do. We told the staff several times how to announce the parents and to include thier escorts. The entire room gasped, and it was very embarassing. The staff is a joke.
It was beautiful and the barn was amazing
Attended my Nephews wedding. They know how to throw an event but glad I wasnt paying for it
Beautiful venue for a wedding
One of the best places to go to 😁
Nice place to have a wedding
Lovely place for a small wedding!
Great wedding venue.
