We usually love going to the Fillmore/Underground. The person I was with got roofied and security threw us out 3 songs into the 1st opener because she was drunk and her being there looked bad on their liquor license. Even if she had been just drunk, they still sent us on our way without a second thought and that couldve been a dangerous situation, as well. Fortunately, I was able to get her to the car and call 911.I see where they are coming from, but Im not sure why security had a total disregard for our safety as soon as we stepped foot out of their doors.
The Fillmore is a chain of live music and event venues owned and operated by Live Nation. The Fillmore Charlotte is professionally maintained and tends to draw larger acts to its stage than any other indoor (and most outdoor) venues in the Carolinas but there are some drawbacks to be aware of. The experience with the staff can be hit or miss depending on the night. Ive been to this venue about 5-6 times and have had both great interactions with happy caring staff and not so great interactions with rude and uninterested staff. The sound (JBL Vertec line arrays if Im not mistaken) and lighting package they use tends to feel uninspiring and doesnt change up much between concerts. The space is very interesting however so if the managers and directors of the Fillmore decide to step-up both the service training and production I think they could go from an ok venue to a great live music venue.
Always a fun time here. You have such an intimate vibe with the performance. Great venue!
I previously gave this venue a 5 star revue however I am resending it. It deserves a 1 star review (ZERO stars is best fitting) because I was unable to attend a show that I paid for and made sure fit the COVID regulations as of this morning. I was told upon showing my ticket at the gate that I had to have a negative test or proof of vaccine to attend. In the same breath I was told that the band, Anberlin, allowed only masked patrons into the venue only hours before without proof of either. You won’t see me again. UPDATE 10/1 - no refund was issued by TIcketmaster despite the venue saying I could. Attempted to call The Fillmore but the phone is DISCONNECTED, no response via email either. I predict your doors will be closed permanently by year end...very sad!
Great place to see amazing bands! They even have a place for us old farts to sit (for a little extra, of course). Go!
If you dont have the vaccine or proof that you tested negative for covid, dont waste your time going. Just wasted $50, and a trip from Columbia, SC, all because I dont have proof of not having covid..
We bought tickets for seats for old crow. When the show was moved indoors we couldn’t go because we can’t stand that long. We tried to contact venue but no response. If we lost our money, so be it but we will NEVER be back! Be careful buying tickets because they can be moved without consent. The only reason I gave one star is so this would post.
The Fillmore is a great host for concert! The Underground is great too. Easy access to bathrooms, bar, and smoking area. Easy is and easy out. Always busy. Security is tight!
Great band. Paid $60 for VIP access and stood 1 step up from the general admission folks. If you wanted to sit while waiting for the band, it was $50 a seat. Bar tab, with tip, $100 for 3 beers and 3 seltzers. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!
Great venue, nice sized without being over crowded. No where in the building that you didnt have a good view of the stage.
Great venue. Clean (and expensive) as could be expected. Spacious as well, assuming you get there in time.
Im not sure why there are so many bad reviews on Google and Facebook. People were upset and canceling their OCMS tickets because it was moved to the Fillmore. I was concerned that it would be an awful venue.Parking was easy. Security was easy (and no one touched my body). Entry was easy. The place was spacious and classy. The stage was a normal height. The room was actually cold and it was 90°+ outside. The sound was loud and clear and sounded good. The lighting was great. We will definitely be back!
Going to the Fillmore was hands down one of the worst experiences in my life. Do not ever attend an event at the Fillmore. Even though we got to see jack harlow, the horrible level of service ruined this experience. The security for this event was incredibly rude and the bald head of security frequently yelled at and harassed innocent concert goers for no good reason
Great great show with the Boss, Rick Ross. Follow up to daughters 23rd birthday celebration and it was lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The family that chills together, build together. Shout to my baby bruh SmittyGoGetta!! All love
Came to see D.L.Hughley. Was crowded and a late show, a woman passed out, but died laughing at those guys. I’m a regular here, one day I’ll headline here! I love the Comedy Zone
Mismanaged to a point of disgust. Had $75 worth of unused tickets/VIP for BTBAM purely due to incompetence. Dont waste your money here ever.
Awesome spot. The Jack Harlow concert was lit!
Great Set Up, bartenders serve well, foods good but drinks are pricey as they are in most clubs.
Great atmosphere. Clean, Air conditioned, good drinks and nice vibes.
The Fillmore is a decent venue. Their logistics teams arent well balanced...i.e. full-body pat downs at the gates, large no standing areas on the floor, no keeping the lids for $5 bottles of water, $100+ for seats (after ticket price) etc... The shows I have seen there have been excellent, but the Fillmore is not my favorite venue.
Epic and safe. Enjoyed venue for favorite Artist!
Great staff, good drinks, and awesome shows. Also plenty to do in the surrounding area after the show
Cool spot! I do not like the theater style food.
Absolutely amazing place. I love coming here to see any bands. The people that run it are always polite and the bartenders make great drinks. Definitely worth my drive I have to get there. The place just flows, its got a great atmosphere. Ive been to multiple concerts ranging from Jessie McCartney to IceNineKills.
Concert was pretty lit. Cant wait til they let me perform there.
Any Hollywood the Promoter shows here were awesome 👌
The Fillmore venue is great. The main section is huge and its tiered. That way, you can see over the people in front of you if youre standing in the back.Parking was easy and the line to get in moved super fast.We ended up getting VIP passes, but for this particular venue I dont feel as though purchasing them is worth the extra money. There are 2 types of VIP tickets- 1 is also standing room only and the other has seats. Both of those are located ground floor to the left of the stage. For the extra money, youre not getting a better view or anything aside from private bathrooms. That feature is nice, but not $50 extra per person nice. Save the extra cash for merch, and get there early to stand in front of the stage for the best view in the house. We came here for Angels and airwaves- the show was awesome!
This is a great venue and they have amazing artists performing on a regular basis. The restrooms are decently clean and there are plenty of stalls. I’ve never had to wait in line for the restroom. However, the price of food and drinks are high. There’s nowhere to sit unless you pay VIP. There is standing room only for GA tickets. It’s also hard to get to the restrooms when there’s the crowd. You have to go around too the back and most of the time, you can’t cut through the crowd that’s in front of the stage. There are two bars for GA tickets to the left of the entrance. The sound is loud and great but you can usually get away from the noise and people if you want by going to towards the left of the entrance near the second bar. This is where the red curtain is which is the area farthest from the stage.
A venue for different events, great event this time- R&b only
At no time during ticket purchase for a show is it stated that it will cost $10 to $20 to pay to park. Also, be prepared to spend $17 for a beer. Note, there are no signs that say how much a beer actually costs at the bar. I hope people stop supporting their hidden price gouging.
I have been to both the Charlotte Fillmore and the Fillmore Underground and both are excellent venues with plenty of barspace, space for bands to sell their merchandise. They reasonable security policies and great management that cares about the safety and well-being of their guests. I live about 2 hours away, but it has always been worth the drive to come see bands here. 10/10 WILL go again.
Terrible experience overall and one of the worst venues Ive seen to date. First off the sound quality is awful, where they fill the room so full you can hardly hear the band. Its so low you can talk to the person beside you with ease. Second they overall the tickets, what I mean is they fill the place to a level you cannot hardly walk in the venue. And last the line for the bathroom is absurd as you will see in my photos. Overall terrible experience and I would not recommend.
Got kicked out for taking a sip of my girlfriends drink, when I didn’t have my ID with me. Then I came back with my ID and they still didn’t let me in after driving 4 hours to come to the jack harlow concert. Short bald man who I assume was the head of security hated me from the start and had an ego trip that he took out on me by not letting me back in. I just don’t know what the point of not letting me back in after saying I wouldn’t drink was. DO NOT GO TO A CONCERT AT THIS VENUE.
Amazing place. Great size for a smaller venue with lots of places to get drinks and plenty of space. Very good sound inside and the security to get inside was a little slow but efficient. I want aware of this beforehand, but I love how the farther back you go in the crowd the higher the floor becomes which makes viewing easy from any place considering everything is GA only besides the VIP areas. A tip as well: if youre a little shorter and worry about getting a good spot, if there is already a large amount of people up against the stage, try being one of the first to the second level of the floor and try to get up against the railing for the VIP area/mixing boards. You can still get a great view of all the action while being just a little farther back
Ill start with the obvious, that The Fillmore is a beautiful venue. The VIP employees were very welcoming and very helpful in upgrading our seating. The bartender was very attentive and put our food order in quick. Btw, the fried pickles are amazing. All my dates and my drinks were made perfect every time. All around a great experience at a nice venue, and a courteous staff. 12/10 will definitely be back.
Always have a good time here.
The Fillmore was great. They have a great setup although the pricing for getting a seat is a little ridiculous considering how many people are there. I mean they are looking to make a killing. You have to pay for the ticket, then the price for the seats per person, and then the food. I mean a bottle of water is $4.00 so I could imagine how food actually is. I guess that is the only area I have an issue. The place is always clean and no matter how big an event is the staff always has their plan and executes it well to get everyone in.
Awesome spot for local music
Saw SCARLXRD there! really fun venue with a variety of music and arts exposure
Went for the H.E.R. concert couldnt really move kind of got stuck in the middle got stuck behind a girl with a huge ponytail bun but besides all of that the concert was great second time at the Fillmore so knew that it was standing room only make sure u bring comfortable shoes 😉
Awesome music venue. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance.
Great fun venue!
Great concert venue. Good sound nice place to see a concert.
Great place to see shows. Support your local music scene and music venues.
Big box. Decent sound, good sight lines.
I went to an art event In hope of finding some inspiration. I was not expecting to meet a living genius. I stood as he painted a new piece. He commanded the mix medium in a beautifully self taught method. There was a majestic presence within his soul. He was speaking through art and speaking a completely unknown language. Many people passed him by. I will mention his name after I purchase more of his art. AMAZING.
Great sound. Well laid out.Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
The Fillmore is a great venue that can hold maybe several hundred people. Went to an Earl Sweatshirt concert and the sound quality was top notch. The closer you are to the speakers to more youll feel the bass, but the further away you are, the clear the vocals from the artists will be.
Always a great place for metalConcerts.
For as small a venue as the Fillmore is, it hold a substantial amount of people lol. When walking through the two front doors, across the hall, on your left, and your right, are bars with a massive quantity of on-tap beers and other alcoholic beverages among others for those who dont drink. The parking situation is also quite nice, directly across the road in a multi-level garage or in a large parking lot nextdoor. Many great bands and singers have concerts located here and ticket prices are always very good. I highly recommend going to a concert here.
80 S Retro. Cool time Curtis Gill Carman Gill and Traci House Caarrigan. The Fillmore
Great venue to see a show. Always a good time.
The show was awesome! The crowds were polite (as always with metal crowds!) and the staff helpful. I just wish they hadnt curtained off a large part of the venue and had more than the 2 bars opened (plus the one vip bar) because it made for some crowded pathways to get around.
This is a really nice venue. Very well organized.
We love The Fillmore! Great sound!
August Burns Red melted my face off.
Love the sounds here and there’s not a bad seat in the house!
Awesome concert venue
Awesome Offspring concert
Amazing place, saw Yung Gravy for my first concert ever 😍
