I went about two weeks ago asked for a full set (already had a set on, wanted something fresh) and I was told they were good enough for a fill so I said okay no problem the lady who did my nails never asked how long I wanted them or anything at the end they were too long and I asked for them to shortened she barely did it and I just left after paying, well not even 5 days later one had already fallen off so I went back and asked a full set and told them I just want something fresh and explained it wasn’t even a week ago that I was there well the guy told me he’d fix it for free and he did, also shortened them. Now not even 6 days later 3 nails have came off and they are way too thick. I honestly won’t go back I’m not happy & it’s very poor quality nails. My friend also went and hers were very un even, this was ally by 3 different employees there. UPDATE, had my nails taken off 6 days after they did my nails and I had fungi growing on my nails!!! I’m very upset and do not recommend this place!!

Visited multiple times for a pedicure. The last time, I actually chose to leave without a nail color and paint them myself. Here are pros and consPros: short wait time for most walk ins, the manager is pleasurable, there seems to be a lot of techniciansCons: prices not worth the quality, witnessed and experienced some poor nail painting technique, limited non gel polish options, more interest in making a sale than considering nail healthOverall, probably not a place I would suggest or try again.

I had an older lady do my pedicure. I had to ask her to get the dirt out of my toenails and I also had an ingrown nail and she was going to leave it if I hadn’t of asked. She got nail polish literally all over one of my big toes and once I got in my car I realized how ridiculous it was so I went back in. She roughly filed off and scrubbed all the gel nail polish off my toe which hurt. Worst $50 pedicure I have ever had, won’t ever be going back.

My nails look amazing! Joey did a fantastic job! This is my first visit here and I will definitely be back. They have a great selection and offer a wide range of nail options. And even offer a complimentary glass of wine.I am changing my previous rating! I was in their today and my regular tech was unavailable so the owner did my nails instead. My nails look good. However, he was on the phone the ENTIRE time that he was doing my nails. And not just on the phone but on a video call. When he finished I asked him if he allowed his employees to be on the phone the entire time they were with a customer and his reply was, yes they can be on the phone. Its one thing to take a quick personal call but its totally different to be on a video chat the ENTIRE time! Its rude!!!

This place is very clean professional. The people there are friendly and do a great job. I took 2 years off doing my nails and when I started again someone recommended them. Im glad they did!! Their gel polish last 2 weeks. They also do other services. Alan is a great owner.

Came here for the first time and I am so glad I did. Since moving to SC Ive been searching for a nail salon and thank the Lord I found this place!! Technicians did my nails today and they came out great! She pays great attention to detail and does a great job. I cannot express how glad I am to have found a nail salon with great atmosphere and kind people. Did I mention they also took four of us in literally 2 hours after I called. I am so pleased with my nails and I believe I found my new nail place!

I went there and everything was nice people we were super great. But nails are horrible. I normally get gel and they last me about 3 weeks. I went here and on the 5th day they started rising, then the first week. I only have 3 of my acrylics on because the rest came off. Never going here again

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Do NOT patronize this business. Their instruments are not clean. I went here with my little sister to get our toe nails done to welcome spring. Sunday morning my toe felt weird and by Monday I knew something was wrong. I went to the doctor and was told I have an infection on my big toe and have to take antibiotics to clear it up, have a follow up appointment and may have to go to the podiatrist. Ive heard horror stories and now I am a walking horror story. You have been warned. Keep your money. Find a different salon. And research them first.

This was my first trip here. I am in love. The place was clean, the people were incredibly friendly and the prices were right on. My no-chip manicure is absolutely perfect. Not thick at all, and it was so fast! Quite possibly the best manicure Ive ever had. Thanks T J Nails!

Went to get my eyebrows done and have been getting them done there for about a year by Sam but today he told someone else to do them. She RUINED my eyebrows, they’re so thin now. Even though I specifically asked her to keep them as thick as possible and she was definitely rushing! It’s going to take me a month+ just to grow them back out. I am usually extremely pleased by the work done there but I am truly dissatisfied!

The Man was very very rude to us👎🏽I, my mother & my sister came to this establishment on Good Friday. It’s very packed and they were short of staff & I and my sister waited on my mom but I ended up leaving before saying something rude to the man . So the place is crowded and they don’t have a big sitting area, he made my sister get up & go sit in a folding chair then shortly made me get up and I had nowhere to sit so I would have to stand in a corner somewhere . While asking me to get up he said “I don’t know why they bring their kids in here the chairs are only for customers and customers only” .if the chairs are for the customers for one they need more chairs and second don’t get upset because the place is crowded . He made me so upset I walked out before saying something smart to him. They do really good nails but their hospitality sucks 🙌🏽. I thought about going there to get my nails done but I’ll take my business somewhere else.

So disappointed paid $50 for a pedicure and had to ask to have my legs massaged and did not even get scrub but yet my friend paid 30 for hers and got everything terrible service and of course no one speaks English to clarify anything when I questioned it....

This is my favorite spot for manicures and pedicures in the Charleston! I am very particular and after much research found this place about a year or so ago! Im a bit of a germaphobe, and the T J Nails meets my standards. Everyone there is friendly and polite, and all are skilled technicians! Ive never been disappointed. My pedicures usually last for a month, when I treat myself again!

Went for the first time, and thought my nail shape came out great. Two weeks later and 2 nails broke horizontally across. Usually my nails last 4-5 weeks and I been getting my nails done 15+ years and this has never happened. I go back to get a fill and what do you know...less then 2 weeks later and 2 NAILS broke horizontally across again!!!! I believe that they are using cheap products. I did notice the product was way more thin/watery then other salons. The owner was being RUDE as hell to another client last time also. They offer free drinks though lol I rather have quality then a free soda.

TJ nails is my go to place. I have been going here for about a year and a half! Its hard to find a place with nail techs who know what they are doing and take the time to perfect your nails. The nail polish collection is incredible with so many colors to choose from.My technicians is sweetest woman ever. She genuinely cares for clients. There was an issue I had and she immediately took action and fixed the problem. Great customer service and shop overall. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new shop!Thanks TJ nails!

My first visit there was pretty good! The technician was very nice and listened to what I said. However about 3 days later my gel nails started peeling off. When I went back they offered to fix it. However upon fixing my nails they got gel all over the side of my finger which caused them to peel 15 minutes after they were done. Also the design was smeared and had a bumpy texture. They attempted to fix them again and the design was still smeared and roughly textured. After this the manager got upset and took a dremel and ground all the gel polish off my nails very roughly causing me a lot of pain and burning. He also filed my nails down short and left them worse than when I came in the first time. It took me a long time to grow out my nails and now Im having pain in all of my fingers and swelling in one of them. Do not go here.

I went on a girls day with my mom and one lady did my toes very well I love them... my mom needed a fill in but what I was kindof frustrated about was that the man was on the phone in the beginning and took a little while just to start my moms nails over all this place is really sweet and I recommend it

I just left the nail salon and I had specifically asked the guy if oval nails would look good because I have really small nails... he said “I will make then look good oval..” they look horrible... like I did them myself... I called to see what can be done and they are wanting to charge me to get them fixed.. I could understand if I just didn’t like them, but I specifically asked him beforehand... I am VERY upset and will most likely NEVER get my nails done here again.

WOW... is all I have to say honestly. What a horrible nail spa. As I have been here time before in the past it was an okay service but after yesterday never will I ever again. Did not listen to a word I said. They lady who start on my hands proceeded to drill my real nail with the metal bit. I will never go back I ended up walking out!

Horrible service! Paid for my daughter’s nails to be done on her birthday (Monday). The next day (Tuesday) she sent me a pic showing one nail came off completely and another was lifting. When I called and explained what was going on, I was told I had to call back the next day and speak with the manager. Today (Wednesday) called and explained I wanted a refund bc of what was going on, and the amount of money I’d spent for the services and tip. Needless to say the resolution offered by the manager/owner was for me to drive back from Moncks corner to West Ashley so he could see the damage himself bc he was sure the nails were done right. When I explained I would be happy to send video and or pics bc that was 45 mins to an hour from where we lived he then hung up on me!Being in the customer service industry myself, customer service is everything to me! And to think my daughter has been waiting for the day she turned 13 so she could finally use her birthday money to get her nails done and this was her experience! Just know that made this personal for me!

I’ve been to this salon twice after multiple recommendations from friends that they are a good salon. I would LOVE to rate this salon with 5 stars because the owner and everyone that works here is very nice. And over all the finished product is nice after a week or so. The reason for one star is BOTH times that I visited this salon I left with multiple cuts around my cuticles and dried acrylic on my fingers. this time the cuts are much more bothersome than the previous full set that I received. I have NEVER had my cuticles cut so much at any salon I’ve ever been to. After my first visit I figured I’d give them another chance and see if it would be fine. Me and my sister arrived at the salon to get full sets and I asked for ombré nails by the same technician that did the last set because I loved the end results and longevity of my nails after my cuticles healed. I asked for a dark blue to a bright pink acrylic ombré this time but had to switch the blue to a lighter pink because he was unable to blend the colors nicely. After he finished filing the acrylic to make it smooth he immediately applied the clear coat before having me go wash my hands which typically when I have my nails done I’m told to wash the filings off before a clear coat is applied. All while leaving dried acrylic all over my skin. This was definitely the last time that I will visit tj nails. I’m a stylist and I would never let someone leave with such poor quality work.

Great service and very friendly. The hours are flexible, especially on a Sunday. Able to walk in, get a mani and pedi completed within an hour (also extremely well priced!). More time could be been spent on the massage aspect but thoroughly pleased with the final product.

I went to T J Nails for the first time least week, and it was great! I got a shellac mani and regular pedi. My tech did a great job, was friendly, and really nice! I love that each client here gets their own files and buffers!I referred my sister, mom, and aunt to go here as well!

Worst nail salon EVER. My first time at this location and my last. I don’t know the ladies name, however, I was there for my tips to be removed. She did a process i have NEVER seen before. As a result, still had a thin layer of acrylic on SOME of my real nails, telling me that’s normal.....and she was really rude! Spoke to the person in charge, he could care less...just cash out attitude! 🗣$10!! If you don’t want your nails jacked up, KEEP IT MOVING to another nail salon.

Worst nail salon I have ever been to. As soon As I sat in the chair the employees were talking and cussing about how drunk they were going to get after and how drunk they were the night before. Was there for 2 hours for a basic manicure/pedicure because they were texting in between paining my fingernails. Spent $50 for the worst service. Workers acted like the customers weren’t even there and had their own conversations. They also had supplies in random containers ... nail files were kept in a Chick-fil-A cup. Wine bottles were randomly put on the tables (@10:30am) Would NEVER recommend this place. Also watched a employee wax a women’s eyebrows and use the same stick over and over continued to double dip.

Very disappointed in the customer service. I asked for a deluxe pedicure. Received a regular pedicure and was told that it’s ok. I saved $10 and next time I can get a deluxe.After being soaked by the water spraying everywhere from the pedicure chair, I expected to get the service I ASKED for.

I had a great mani and pedi from Lida. I was hesitant with the other reviews being so low, but I had a great experience. I didnt have an appt and the wait was minimal. I was in and out in a little over an hour.

So apparently they’re open until 7:03 but lock the doors at 7 so if you want a simple service like your eyebrows you are out of luck !! They also don’t answer the phone to tell you before you waste your time going !

I used to come here all the time and would have given it 5 stars then, but I needed a pedicure on a Sunday and came back to find this place had drastically declined. I called ahead for an appointment and they started me 16 minutes late and had way too many people in line. It was very crowded and no place to wait. Then, they didnt have a good color selection. I like bright and cheerful, but most of theirs were dark and depressing. The technician did apologize for the wait and did an okay job, but there was nothing that would keep me coming back. I was very disappointed! 😢

I used to come here often, but not anymore. Allen was not there today so I thought i would give someone else a try. Not wise, all i wanted to do was get an overlay on my nails, they talked me into a 45 dollar dip well i said yes. Because I liked the place. Then when we got the color and sat down he started putting tips on, I told him no grinding just the dip he stated he didnt have the color for the dip and all I could have was the tips. So I said ok but a light coat so it didnt need must grinding. Yhen I asked how much it would cost he said less then the other I asked how much he said 30something. He never gave me an correct amount, then i told him i wanted it yo be round he said that would cost evem more. I said no and take the tips off and I wanted to leave, he proceeded to ask other techs in the shop if they would do it for me for a cheaper price, I told them all no and that I just wanted to leave. Moral of the story they all made me feel stupid and cheap for wanting natural looking nails. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. sure wished Allen was there yo hear all this.

This has to be the WORST place I have gone to for nail services. Where do I begin? Employees eating smelly good, gossiping, and spending time on their cell phones in the customer treatment area with their own feet propped up. Holes in he ceiling tiles and wall, peeling paint, and very dirty surfaces. All ceiling fans had about a 1/2 inch of dust on every blade. The place is in bad, bad need of a good scrub down. Their prices are high, which I wouldnt mind if I was able to even enjoy myself and relax, but I found it hard to even sit in such an unappealing and dirty environment. I will never go back!

I usually always go here to get my eyebrows waxed, but I dont know if I will go back ever again ...the owner messed my eyebrows up he made one shorter than the other and I think he noticed and didnt say anything, He should really just let his wife take care of the waxing I give her 5 stars but him I rate a 1_👎🏽
