I never leave reviews but i felt like this one was a bit necessary. 1st off, my nail tech was rude. i wasn’t a fan of him at all. 2nd, my friend got a regular manicure and there are tons of air bubbles on her nails. 3rd, i always get the same thing done; acrylic gel. i typically go to a different salon though. at luminous, every little thing is an extra charge, and it’s not a small charge either. very basic things they don’t do, like cut down cuticles, do any type of care besides lay the acrylic and paint the nails. definitely not coming back because i can get more done for a cheaper price at a salon down the street. my nails do look good though.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and it was done by a newbie nail tech! He looked around 17 to 18 (had black hair and glasses). I think his name was Vector, but I can’t quite remember. He put so much detail and precision into everything, and it turned out beautifully! The receptionist was also very nice. She was a brunette with short hair. I highly recommend.

They are quick about getting you in the chair and take their time on your nails. Also their interaction with you is better than any nail salon. Get bao, he’s hilarious.

I really just feel it’s overpriced. The nails were a very basic design in my opinion. I paid $75, and $70 for a one color gel pedicure. The nail tech was very polite, and so it really comes down to price, it was 145$ plus a tip of course. To each there own, I’ve received much more design and customization for much less, and so I can’t justify the price.

Mike was very friendly and did a great job on my toes. I think he knew I was new to the experience and did his best to make me feel comfortable. I will ask for him again next time I visit here. Thanks Mike! Also the lady checking customers into their appointments was very professional and nice. She explained everything to me when I told her I had not been there before.

I went in for a fill and Justin did such a great job. I had a full set put on elsewhere and it was very lumpy and thick. He made them look exactly how I wanted in no time flat. And the price was great! I’ll be back.

Short wait. Nail tech was FAST. I was in and out with a full set in less than 45 minutes. One hand is shorter than the other which is still ok. They arent big thick nails either, which I love. They are a little bit more pink than I wanted but next time will be better. I do agree with the other reviews....the price is pretty expensive. If they last a while, itll be worth it. Heres hoping 🤞

I’ve been going to this nail spa for months. Yesterday I went and I just needed a fill in. So this guy started doing my nails and he burnt me 4 times with the e-file. He didn’t care. He was hold my fingers to tight they were turning white. He didn’t understand what I wanted, he was in a rush. This man should NOT be doing nails at all. He just was so nasty. I think that’s it for this place. It’s a shame because I really liked going there.

This place is very clean and impressive as soon as you walk in the door youre greeted promptly. The nail technicians are very efficient and very nice. Haley was my nail tech and she was very professional and one of the best nail technicians and just the place alone was far better than any other nail salons that I have been to. I highly recommend this place and the value as far as the combination for the Manny and the petty is very great value.

Took my 4 year old to her first pedicure and we both had a fantastic, relaxing experience! As a former cosmetologist, I’m constantly looking at the sanitizing measures being implemented. They were clean, timely and professional! We will definitely be back!

Extremely disappointed. After growing my own nails to a good length, I specifically requested a protective overlay. Instead, my nails were completely chopped off! Not to mention how rude they are! Never again.

I’ve been here before for pedicures only and service was great! Fast and clean and gel polish lasted a long time. I recently went for the first time for dip polish on my nails. I’ve never had anything other than regular polish on my nails before. I put my trust in the business and the tech that they knew what they were doing. I was not happy with the end result. The nails look very very thick and felt heavy on my nails. I do know that the shape of my nails is very curved and not flat like most people but I feel that should have been stated ahead of time that the dip wouldn’t work for my nail type and I would have been happy with gel. I was going on vacation so I didn’t have time for them to take the whole thing off. I spent three hours in this place. I don’t blame the technician per se just feel as it was a miscommunication. Other workers kept trying to convince me they looked good and when my friends saw them they laughed! Even my boyfriend who knows nothing about this stuff asked what I did to my nails.

I give up on this business. All three experiences I’ve had at this location are not good. My first time at this salon a woman did my dip powder nail. She sliced my finger open with a HAND file… Cut me in a couple places. Quality of the nails wasn’t the best. My second visit I get a pedicure and dip powder on my nails. Sarah does my pedicure and it’s great. I was looking forward to her doing my nails. However in the middle of my toes she forgets she has an appointment and now has to rush my pedicure and cannot do my nails. Not a big deal. The man who did end up doing my nails did not do good work at all. The dip was all over all of my cuticles. The shape was not good. And the whole time he kept telling me my nails needed to be longer? So I give it another chance & I make an appointment for 430 pm with Julie. I arrive at 425. Keep in mind I have never worked with Julie so I do not recognize her, I was referred her by a friend. I end up waiting 25 minutes after my appointment to not even be acknowledged on the fact she’s still in the middle of someone else’s nails… I had to ask to receive this information. Then the man at the front asks if I want him to start my nails for her? This defeats the whole purpose of requesting a nail tech. This location doesn’t even compete with Luminous nails in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Love this salon. Great service!! And my nails always look amazing!! Wish I lived closer. And when Im in town this is my go to nail salon.

I have not been able to find a good Nail salon since moving here 5 years ago. Luminous was recommended and I am so happy I took the recommendation. Very professional, clean and Romana was an absolute doll. She did a fantastic job and I will be back!

I came here for a basic manicure and gel polish. I had an appointment at 1 and they were right on time. My cuticles usually always end up bleeding and hurting after a manicure, but Henry was really gentle since I mentioned it and my cuticles don’t hurt at all! The color I wanted was all crusty, so I had to pick a different one which was a bummer. The polish isn’t completely perfect - there are a few dents and a little wobbly around my cuticles, but overall it’s pretty good! I was in and out within the hour. I would recommend and will be going back!

I have Linda do my organic nail dip and she makes them look so natural she is so meticulous with them VERY FRIENDLY PLACE so clean and beautiful inside. I just love them so much

I went for a full set acrylic with regular nail polish. My nails feel so loose and some are even going back. The polish is painted on entirely too thick. My nails even hurt and I’ve only had them on for about 4 hours. I personally wouldn’t come back to them. The salon is nice and clean though otherwise. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The lady for both my nails and toes did an excellent. Very good with detail and made sure i was happy with what i wanted.

It has been my second time here and this time a gentle named Ngox helped me. He was very polite with great conversations. Truly made me feel welcomed. I will be back to see him again.

I have been to this location a few times and have had a wonderful experience. However, I would be hard pressed to return after this last visit. I was asked at check-in if I wanted gel or regular, and I said regular. I corrected the technician when she tried to apply gel and was met with an unpleasant tone and that I said I wanted gel. I was then asked to pay BEFORE she painted my nails. I was told this was in case something happened and then was told it’d make my checkout process easier. I have never been asked this to pay before a service, ever. After the 10 minutes spent on my nails, I sat by my mom and went to the counter to pay for her nails. I left the location to run errands while waiting for her to finish up and upon my return, she informed me she had paid. We had to go back in to get a refund as we had been charged twice for the same service and I’m just not sure why this wasn’t communicated. Very disheartening after such great previous experiences.

1st time we went they were very busy. On our 2nd visit is was calm and quiet, much better. We made appointments online both times but it didnt seem to make a difference. On our 2nd visit we had better service, our nails were much more even and un-rushed. Well go back.

Lynn does great work. It’s hard to fine a decent nail person in the area. I’m happy enough with my end results to return to Lynn.

I went on a week day morning to get a regular manicure. They were not super busy but during my visit at least two customers were upset over cancelled appointments and lack of organization. The tech giving me my manicure was on the phone almost the entire time she did my nails. Maybe she didnt hear me but I asked her to cut them shorter, she didnt. The paint job was meh. It wasnt even and all the way to the edges, I could see through it around the corners of my nails. It started chipping 24 hours later. While this wasnt gel polish, Ive had regular nail polish/manicures last longer than a day doing the same activities (desk work). Im not from this area so I cant go back to see if this was a one time situation.Aside from the environment with other customers and my own nail experience, the place was clean, well staffed and looked inviting.

I had decided last minute to get a Dip Manicure around 5:30pm last night. My cuticles needed it! Vi took care of me and it was such a relaxing and calming experience. She did a wonderful job. The Staff are always so nice and friendly when you go to this spa! I always recommend it to anyone who needs a manicure, pedicure, or brow/lip wax! So glad they came to the centerville area! LOVE THEM!!

I have come here 3-4 times now. 1st time I did gel for both my hands and toes and these last two times I did dip powder on my hands and gel on my toes. I have just walked in every time Vs. Scheduling an appointment and they have always gotten me in very fast and have done a great job on both my hands and toes. My toes have lasted about 3 weeks and still look great so yesterday I just went in to redue my hands. Justin did an amazing job and I couldn’t be happier with how my French tip dip came out. Staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. I will continue to come here for my manicure/pedicure needs 😀

I made an appointment online for 3:45 and checked in at 3:20. By 4:15 my pedicure still hadn’t started. When I complained to the manager, she explained they were short staffed. I questioned why I was required to make an appointment online then. She said it didn’t matter because my appointment hadn’t been confirmed by anyone. I couldn’t be more unhappy with this place if they tried. I wasted over an hour of my day for nothing. I will happily tell everyone to go somewhere else.

I came in to get dip powder and while the nail technician was nice my nails look awful and I have 3 cuts that bleed on my fingers from his tool that he blamed on my dry skin. After he was finished the edges of my nails were still jagged and my nails have random lumps. I have already made a new appointment elsewhere to get rid of these awful nails.

My daughter had an appointment last Saturday for prom for gel polish only on her nails and toes. We said no manicure and no pedicure, just polish. At the end of her services they charged her $75 for just a polish! The website stated gel polish was $13 and their brochures stated $25 - either way she was over charged at $75. When I confronted them they said they dipped her hands in water and then proceeded to charge her for a manicure. They ended up refunded us $15 but that still left her paying $60 for only a polish. This company is price gouging and inconsistent with their pricing. We will return to Trendy Nails in Bellbrook!

My 19 year old daughter went to this place for the first time last night. Her appointment was at 5:30 and she waited over an hour. Then it took Lynn almost 2 hours to do her nails. The worst part is they charged her $89 which is absolutely ridiculous! I had an appointment scheduled for myself but after my daughters experience I called to cancel and told the girl on the phone why. She didn’t seem to care at all just said “sorry” and that’s it! Do not go to this place unless you want to sit and wait and then get ripped off! She only got a very simple design on four of her nails and they charged her $5 a nail. They also charged $15 extra for length!

I had a scheduled appointment for 10am and they moved it to 11:45. When we got there they swapped me to 2 different chairs and I didn’t get the woman I requested. I ended up sitting down 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment and I am very upset. It is very unprofessional to make a scheduled appointment wait.

Really enjoy this nail salon. I’ve tried half a dozen around the area and this is the only one that has the latest trends and keeps everything in stock! They have a lot to offer and will try to accommodate any request or photo. Sometimes I have some shaping or detail issues, but the selection and accommodation makes up for it.

Horrible nail salon. I scheduled an appointment to get my nails done the day before my wedding with my mother in law and sister in law. The lady that I scheduled the appointment with took a girl back 5 minutes before my appointment time. I waited 45 minutes and still wasn’t called back. My sister in law and mother in law were finished by the time I was called back. They didn’t sit any of us together. Do not waste your time here. The receptionist didn’t care that I ended up leaving and went somewhere else. Horrible customer service!!

I went there with my sister to get powder nails with tip. I was shocked when the price came out to $63 each. They told me at the desk that its new, increased prices (that arent in the pamphlet - it still said $48). When i called the next day to ask, they told me its because I got long, almond shape which is $15 extra. What?! Ive NEVER had an upcharge for almond shape at any salon and also, you are supposed to tell your customers if they are asking for something with an upcharge. When I told the manager that, she said I should have asked ahead of time. Well, obviously I didnt think to ask because thats never been an upcharge at any other salon...

We had reservations made and yet still had to wait to be seated. Then I didn’t even get to enjoy my pedicure because as soon as I sat down the technician came and rushed through everything! I also should add there was other customer that had been there before us that we’re still waiting by the time my pedicure was complete. I probably won’t be returning.

I’ve came here multiple times and never have I ever had service like I have today. I came in 1 and a half weeks ago got a full set one fell off so I came in 4 days ago and got them re done completely well they damaged my nail so bad that it won’t stay on the nail so I came in today October 19th, and they re did the one nail. I don’t know who on earth let this kid do nails especially on a customer who’s already upset that I’ve paid over 160 so far on getting these re done, he glued yes GLUED my finger to the underneath of this nail. Did 2 coats of gel when I paid extra last time for 3-4 this nail is completely see thru doesn’t match my nail shape plus the color doesn’t match because of the layers added to the rest, and is COVERED in nail glue. And did not prime my nail for the acrylic to stick. Thank god im moving out of state in 2 days so I can find a nail salon that cares what customers think.

I have sent an email to them and I havent heard anything back. I am extremely disappointed in my experience. I paid over $100. It was the most painful manicure I have ever been through. She made me bleed. My dip nails chipped the next day. I asked for tips and they didnt put them on there. The color wasnt exactly what I picked out either. My daughter didnt get what she wanted either. The guy that did my pedicure did well. I didnt have complaints from him. After this experience, I wont be back. They need to make it right instead of ignoring customers. I just want my money back.
