I went in for a mani/pedi. I was in there for about 3 hours-not enough staff, especially for a weekend. When I was done, I went to pay and I was charged 55.64 for the service, so I wrote in a $10.00 tip. Checked my bank account the next day and saw that they put it in as $95.64-$30.00 more than what I put on the receipt. When I called them to ask about it, they told me that they forgot to charge me for the pedi-that isnt my problem-where do they get off on adding that to my already signed credit card receipt. I will never go back there because of their dishonesty and also, they do not have prices listed-I think that would be a lot more helpful to customers and possible prevent the errors.

I brought my daughter and her friend in for my daughters birthday. The girls brought in photos of what they wanted and the ladies went above and beyond. They hand painted these beautiful designs.

There were cockroaches, they cut my friends when doing pedicures, the nails are falling off within a week, and when they fall off there’s fungus underneath. This place is not clean or professional. Do not use!

Gift certificates were purchased Dec 2019 for two women. Unable to use due to pandemic. Iowa law states that gift certificates do not expire for 5 years. Diamond Nails refused to honor the gift certificates because they say they can make up whatever expiry period they want. Charged both women full price. They also said they provided upgraded shellac polish, which they did not do after both women declined.

No cleaning after each customer. We said something about getting an infection... Not their problem

This place is awesome. My new home nail salon. You will wait a little bit, so I like to bring a book, but the service is worth it (and the service partially is why you wait, they dont rush you through). I get a pedicure and dip on my real nails, and they knock it out of park every time. Crazy color selection..there are so many! That is THE BEST pedicure Ive gotten purely due to the foot/leg massage! I love having the guy that works there do them! WOW! One note- credit cards have a fee attached so it costs a little more. If you can take cash youll pay what theyve quoted, but CC does have a % added at the end. Another note- I completely destroyed one of my nails a day after they did them, and I went in willing to pay and they fixed it for 100% free! I think its a 72 hour policy? Confirm with them but it was super kind! Also, (if you care) they speak English (albeit broken) but you can definitely make your requests clear and have a conversation! I was able to learn about the history of the salon and their home countries and how they moved here as well as get perfect nails!

I literally just paid $100 for a fill, SHORT nails and a pedicure and it wasn’t even the best I’ve seen!! These prices are definitely not okay and product does not match prices either. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Ive had Annie do my pedicure and it was relaxing and she was very friendly and kind. With my part-time out of commission knee. I went in for the works with my nails and tied. Annie told me about shellac on top of my acrylic tips. Thank You Annie, it was the best recommendation I ever had when it comes to getting my nails done. Babe did my daughters nails super fast, she got the shellac. BB (Babe) was pleasant to my daughter. So, I was so fortune to get Tina to do my nails I got them long, extra strong, and with shellac. I was very happy with the results. My nails lasted for almost a month until then it was time for a fill, they never broke off or chipped off. I was there for an hour and a half and the lady completely ignored I was there the lady would only service the ladies that she clearly knew regardless I had been there first and longer. Then double charged me to soak my nails off. would not go again

I can’t say enough good things about this nail salon. Tina is by far the most kind and caring owner I have met in the nail salon industry. She ensures her clients are happy before they leave. She listens and will adjust anything that’s not to your liking. Tina does an AMAZING ombré as well!For Cedar Rapids, this is the place to go!

Did an awesome job. I got an ombré dip on my natural nail and it didn’t look thick at all. Very nice and friendly. Took a little, but just because it was a busy time (which makes sense because they’re great). Averaged price. Would recommend for sure.

Great customer service! I broke a nail that was done by someone out of state and they fixed it all up.

Have given them 4 chances. I am done now. Waited over an hour and half and they waited on other people before even starting mine. This is not the first time. Then today i did not see but one girl sanitzing stations or chairs.

Wonderful experience. They listened to what I asked for, executed and delivered. After I recover from my surgery this will be the only place I will go to.

I really like this Nail Salon. Girls appear to be silly. Always a great dip. Colors are nice, service is xcellent. Good job of COVID safety. Clean place. Wish my nails didnt grow so fast. But beautiful nails the entire time. Pedicures are good too. Only had one. But no complaints. I got french toe nails. Marble and cats eye nails.

The last time I went, we had a total of 6 in our group to get pedicures. They put us in a separate room and we waited for someone to finally touch our feet in about 15 minutes later. By the time we were done, it took them about an hour and a half or more before they were done with all of us and one had to wait even longer than rest (All five were done within an hour, but the last one was taking way too long) to get her toes finished. She had 3 people working on her feet by the time she was done. Highly recommend not taking a big group on a Saturday afternoon, otherwise youll be there the rest of the day.

Staffs here are so friendly and special pay attention to detail on whole the process. They are very careful in cleaning and shaping nails before painting them with color. Selection of colors is so awesome. Have thousands of color with many different kinds: shellac, polish,... They always do allow what I asked and give me how to care my nails in home. After making nails time, I fell its probably the best services Ive ever gotten! I appropriate the special attention to customer service.

Unsanitary and uncaring. The woman who did my nails did not do it correctly. I got a dip to avoid the UV lights but she still kept insisting I bake my hands. Afterward she seemed like she had a personal vendetta against my cuticles. She cut me in 4 different places and didnt bat an eye. Every tool she used was just put back in her basket for the next victim. DISGUSTING. No rinse or anything. I will be calling the board as they are placing everyone at risk for infections. Please dont come here.

Just got these beauties done on Saturday and I am definitely impressed. Be has always taken good care of me but the other ladies took very good care of my friends as well. We were in and out with no troubles which is good for a saturday morning. I definitely recommend Diamond if youre looking for techs that deliver what you ask for!!

Took my daughter for a manicure and pedicure. I also got a pedicure and dip. Both of our toes look great, but my daughter’s polish chipped off nearly all of her fingers the same day. My dip is sub par and the gal was so busy she didn’t bother to shape my nails properly or push/clip my cuticles. After spending $100 plus tip, we won’t be back.

Pros: quick service, native english speakers, no mistakes or mishapsCons: expensive, chipped quickly, unfriendly serviceI visited here for a walk-in for the first time last week. I was able to begin just as soon as I picked my color and I didnt have to wait at all. The polish selection looked old and was smaller than what I have seen at other salons. Many of the polishes were separating from age/disuse. The people doing our nails were not friendly (not mean/rude either IMO) but they could speak perfect English.My technician filed my nails and clipped my cuticles perfectly and I didnt bleed or have uneven parts. I got two coats of polish and one top coat and then I was sent to the drying table because there were many people waiting now. My polish was perfect but my friends was also on her skin so that wasnt great. It has been about a week and they are chipped at the tips, which is kind of quick in my experience.The price was 27 dollars including a tip which was expensive for just polish to me. They also didnt offer drinks or have a TV or anything so I cant justify the price being that high. Especially since other salons are only 17 for polish and they have TVs and free wine and stuff. I probably wont come back to this salon since it was expensive and the polishes werent that great.

I will not be back...REALLY THE WORST NAIL SALON I HAVE BEEN TO...I gave them 3 chances to do a decent job on my shellac. The last trip was the clincher. I do not understand why on earth they use their own fingernails to scrape the shellac off my nails. I was appalled. Guess they cant afford the proper tools to do so. When I turned the lamp on to look closer at the color selection, the manicurist immediately turned the lamp off. Electricity is expensive too I guess. But when speaking to this person she immediately turned to her friend to chat with her.... Rude rude people here. Only one has not been but when I requested her they brush you off. So why bother with people who could not care about service, they only want your money. I will give my hard earned money to someone who makes the effort to be pleasant and gives quality service. Called to make sure they were not busy. Owner said no! Went 5 minutes and there! All acrylic nail tables almost full, and only 2 chairs for pedicures available. All of us waiting for over 40 minutes. Then sort of hurried through. Polish ended up on toes around nail. I personally did not see them clean utensils between customers, never went to back room or any machine to clean. I have been going here for over the past 8 months. Very disappointed. Only my opinion, but 3 others in the chairs said they would not be back.

Very nice lady did my nails BUT to me she was to busy jumping from me plus 2 other lady’s. My thumb nail broke the same day I got them. Also, I wasn’t to happy about the price, for a full set they charged me $45!

Went to get my nails done on my lunch break and was very amazed the ladies were really nice, I dont know the ladys name that did my nails but she was amazing and took really good care of my nails she didnt cut me or anything. With good pricing and location! I will definitely be back!!

Terrible service, lied and said they have been charging for a regular full set for $30 for over 5 years... couldnt even do a simple flower design and started talking about me right in front of me because I didnt want a design anymore... full set still wasnt even filed down evenly, over priced & terrible service no reason to go there.

Ive been getting acrylic nails for 3 years, been to three different places before Diamond. My nails never stayed on for longer than 1 week . Id had enough cause the last time they only lasted 3 days. I found diamond and havent been any where since, they last me 2 weeks then I can get them filled. They are so nice there and lots to select from.

$20 pedicure was nice. Took my daughter here for her birthday and they have a cheaper price for kids. I appreciated that. They did a nice job.

Ok, so today me and and my step mom went to this place to get pedicures. The service wasnt bad, it was just the outcome and what was paid for it. I wanted a simple black and white design and it ended up costing $30. In my opinion, I dont think a mediocre paint job and uneven nails is nesecarily worth $30. The lady that did my nails didnt speak much English (which isnt her fault) so there was a communication gap. I did, however, show her a picture of what I wanted and she understood. When she was doing the pedicure she seemed rushed like she didnt care about how it turned out and wanted to get me out of there as fast as possible. Overall, the paint job was pretty clean, its just that it wasnt really that good, even though the design was pretty simple. My step mom wasnt really that pleased with her nails either. She ended up paying $64 ($30 each + $4 because she used a debit card) for a paint job that I honestly could have executed better myself (and Im only 15). I know pedicures have lots of steps, so obviously you arent just paying for the paint job, but I still have dead skin on my feet, my nails are uneven, and Im pretty unsatisfied with the result, which isnt worth that much money in my opinion.

I probably wont visit this nail salon again. Im not one to complain unless service is really bad...And I left this place really frustrated. A client of mine gave me a gift certificate to get my nails done here and I decided to get a pedicure and a shellac manicure before our vacation to Florida. The technician was in such a rush to get my nails done and piled the polish on. My toes never did fully dry and got messed up by the time I got home.But the kicker was when she put the shellac polish on my fingernails, she didnt cover the entire nail! I went home looking like my fingernails had already grown out leaving space at the end of my nail where the cuticles are. It is so noticeable on a few nails that I almost complained in the salon...I didnt and now I regret it. The technician was pretty rude and only seemed to be there to get the job done quickly and get her money...Even going as far as checking the receipt right in front of me to see how much tip I gave her.I dont get my nails done very often, but when I do, other places (even the nail salon at Walmart) have had much more professional service than Diamond Nails & Spa. :(

I am an ongoing and long term customer and I normally get my nails done by Tina and toes by some random person. I am upset because a week ago I came in to get my hands and feet done. My hands are perfect but my feet is not. Why is the polish coming off my toes already? I always ask them to coat my toes 3 times. I came in Sunday because it was coming off and now my other foot the polish is off. I didnt get an apology for having to come back in. This is very bad customer service. I never complained for I am a long time customer but I think I will need to go somewhere else. I tip them every time but the polish is so weak. I have noticed many times that they put acetone in the polish which everyone knows that this Weakens and breaks down the polish

This was the worst nail salon i have ever been to. When a friend and i came to both get a set taken off and a new one put on we were told to pick out our colors and sit a station and wait, which was fine for the first 15 minutes and ridiculous after 55 minutes. Finally after waiting she came over and ripped off my acrylic nails completely tearing off 2 nail beds and screwing up the rest. I then was left to wait for another 30 minutes. During which time i chose to not get my nails finished. They then said i would still have to pay. Unbelievably terrible service and dirty!

When in on July 1st to get a gift card was in a hurry the girl I paid for at the girl never gave me a gift card tonight I went there and said something to them they showed me the gift card and no I never did get a pink one so beware of getting gift cards from them they were rude when you could understand them and did not care and had no way of having a receipt or a copy I had my bank come up on my phone but they did not care it was like tough luck so went to Sophie as they were really nice and were not rude would like to know What Corporates number is though since I got ripped off by them and afterwards I heard others have been also Would not even try or think about making it right with me it was a gift from my mom I was in a hurry that night but the girl never even said anything that I didnt have it either so guess lesson learned do not go to diamond nails for a gift card they keep your money Try to find the corporate number but not seeing one if anyone has that or knows of 5 find it please let me know

So, I initially left fairly happy. I got the acrylic and had wanted them painted, but she didnt understand me and said I make really shiny for you ...*sigh*... I just said okay and figured I could paint them at home... later that day I was thoroughly looking over my nails and realized how badly they had been done... (I didnt pay close attention before because I didnt have my contacts in, just my OLD glasses)The gel hadnt been filled all the way to my cuticle, she didnt sand off any of the extra side or under gel, and within 5 days one nail had already fallen off! now my second one is about to fall off and it hurts, a lot!I dont like writing bad reviews, but when I paid $35 for these, I felt someone else should be warned so they can either avoid the place, or pay closer attention than I did...

Went to Diamond nails a few ones about four years ago and never liked it once. Went again recently to try to see if they got any better and less then a week later and four of my nails were broken so i just took the rest off. Will never recommend anybody to go here.

This place is dirty! The whole place is an infectious mess and terribly outdated. Several different people worked on my nails and none of them were consistent. They would not listen to what I wanted but rather did what they wanted to do. My nails are a mess and I will never go back there again. I used to go there often but have watched the place fall to pieces and the turn over of employees is ridiculous. Avoid this place if you dont want to be disappointed!

I went here to get a mani + pedi and about a week later my big toe got infected. Im unsure of what could have caused this because I have clean feet, just saying. But now that I remember, I dont remember them cleaning the tools very well. (Currently remedying with hydrogen peroxide) They also had 3 different ladies working on my nails and it took 3-4 hours! I have bubbles in the top layer of my nails; I was not going back to fix it either. Probably the worst experience ive had.

Went with a wedding party of 9. They did a very poor job and were really over priced. Some girls had to go elsewhere to get their nails fixed. I will NEVER go back. Worst experience ever!!!!!!

Vong and his entire team of nail technicians have always been friendly and professional, even when the prom crowd has taken over! I have been a customer of both salons since they opened and will alway be a loyal client. My advice to those who complain they didnt get what they wanted...SPEAK UP! They cant read your mind! They are willing to go above and beyond to make their customers happy!

They do a great job everytime I come here. They take their time and make sure its done right. I will say they are a little expensive but its worth it to me because I always leave happy and satisfied. I would say they are the best nail place in Cedar Rapids or even Coralville / Iowa city. Im honestly super surprised to see so many negative reviews. I never make reviews but felt the need to say something because this place is honestly awesome.

They are pretty good but the last few times I have been there my fingers were sore from the tool to smooth nails. I was bleeding one time.

BEWARE....I visited twice; I was suspicious after my first visit but unfortunately went back, I should have listened to my “gut feelings”.....my mistake, now I’m dealing with NAIL FINGUS & on medication for 12 wks that involves blood work before taking med & again half way through because it is hard on your liver. They DO NOT auto clave (sterilize) or use throw away tools....instead just dip in alcohol & use on the next person. I thought I noticed this the first time but wanted to believe, I was wrong...I watched the second time & was appalled...I should have walked out! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Got a great shellac manicure that has lasted for over 2wks (except for the regrowth they look perfect) I am still getting compliments on my nails! Nice ladies, clean place!

Worst dip ever! Went on Sunday, not busy at all. Rushed thru manicure and laughed loudly the whole time joking with other workers.But more importantly, my nails were breaking and cracking the next day! Thin dip with lumps and bumps. Ill never go here again!

Went in for a Shellac manicure. The girl was very rushed and didnt take her time, therefore leaving a goopy mess on my nails. Because of that, it peeled off less than two days later. I paid $32.00 for something that lasted two days. I could have just painted my nails at home. Very annoyed.

I should start by saying that this is my first review ever and there isnt a lot that bothers me or makes me feel that customer service is sub par. I gave this place a second chance after a bad experience two years ago (questionable quality/service and two of the techs got into a heated verbal dispute at my table) and, unfortunately, had another bad experience. I went in on my day off to relax and it was anything but relaxing. My tech was juggling 3-4 people jogging in her platform shoes all over and so you just felt uncomfortable from the moment you sat down, rushed, and bad for the other ladies waiting in between turns. I decided just to get a manicure rather than both a pedi/mani after being in there 2 min and was in and out in under 20 min because of all the running around and the rushed painting of the gel on my nails. My spot was also really dirty with nail dust everywhere and the remains of chunks of fingernails that were clipped off and not cleaned off of the desk I was sitting at. Hopefully, they will improve in the future, but I wont be going back.

Wasnt offered a drink. Didnt want to try and do my nail shape had to be a little technical. Will be going somewhere else. I really enjoyed this place but yesterday wasnt a great experience

The person who did my nail polish did a sloppy job and did even clean up the polish around my nails.they did not wear glove and I noticed that they were not sanitizing the equipment.

This salon is terrible. They do not know now to shape your nail correctly and they make them look really fat and not natural. Pedicure polish comes off within a week 2 max. I will not be returning

Worst Salon ever!The service is the worst ever. I went there over 10 times, trying to give them the benefit of doubt and every time the services gets worse. They mess up your nails (polish chips, smudged polish etc.) & Wont take responsibility and fix the polish. Will accuse you of bumping into something. They are very rude and extremely unhelpful when asking about services they provide.

Today was the first time I have ever visited this salon. I went in for a manicure and all the tables were full so they sat me at one of the pedicure chairs. This made for a very uncomfortable experience as I had to turn my upper body sideways in order for her to do my nails. My polish looked terrible. It was very sloppy and looked like it was applied by a toddler. Its not likely that I will return.

I’m literally sitting in a chair right now at diamond nails and I’m getting acrylics. There crooked af and my fingers r red. They mean we’ll they just don’t take their time. Nails r messy and aren’t really what I asked for. Rate:4/10

I stopped in Sat evening 4/23/16 with a friend of mine. We both wanted shellac manicures. It was the absolute WORST experience either of us have EVER had. instead of wrapping our nails to get our shellac off they just made us soak our hands in acetone. Both of our hands turned white and extremely dry. That didnt get all of the shellac off so they used the electric file which I hate bc that ruins your nails. My tech didnt bother to remove any of the dry/dead skin around my nail beds which is the main reason i get manicures. We both got white tips and they were in such a hurry they applied one quick coat of white that is streaky and see through. We both commented on it and they rolled their eyes.Then, they didnt feel like waiting for it to dry before they put the clear coat over it so there are white streaks from the top to bottom of our nails. When my friend commented on it AND the fact she still had the previous grey shellac on some of her nails the tech told her well its already dry. I paid for my nails and while waiting for my friend to finish the tech came back over and said she didnt charge me enough and needed my card back. Again, overall worst experience I have ever had. I normally go to Happy Nails on edgewood and johnson but was in a hurry after work that day and diamond nails was closer. wont ever make that mistake again. if i could score them a zero, i would. dont waste your money here.
