We started Vision Martial Arts when our son was 4 years old. He is now 15! My wife and I also started classes shortly after him. Over all this has been a positive and exciting adventure for the entire family. Taekwondo is great physical exercise as well as a great emotional bond. We have attended several tournaments over the years traveling the country, seeing new places and making many new friends from around the world who also enjoy Taekwondo. It has been something that the whole family can relate to and enjoy together. All the instructors at Vision are all professional, courteous and can relate to children as young as 4 to adult students. I highly recommend Vision Martial Arts for the entire family.
I have been a part of Vision family since 2015. For a parents bringing their child, I would say Vision instills confidence, disciple and self-esteem. For the parents themselves, I would say Vision gives you that renew confidence in your abilities, an opportunity to train as a family and a really cool skill set to show off for your kids. I tell adults all the time, if I can do Taekwondo, anyone can. This program has given me the confidence to try new things, for example I started back running after joining Vision. In addition to Taekwondo, I also run 5K, 10K and half marathons. I have also been able to watch my daughter grow in her training, build her confidence and it has been such a joy now watching her help other students with their training.
My family has been attending this academy for 3 years. We have loved the positive changes seen in our children 1. Added confidence to tackle the craziness of this year 2. Improved focus in being able to handle the virtual school days 3. Exercise to get that energy out 4. Motivation to improve themselves and do better. I could go on and on about the positives in my kids. The adults have even picked up priceless skills to help get through this pandemic and the challenges brought on with these new obstacles. As a parent I think the biggest thing is the village we now have in our martial arts family. Anytime we have a concern, someone from the academy is right there to help us figure out a solution and reach that end goal. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is.
People come to martial arts for all kinds of reasons: exercise, fear, self-esteem, body calming and so forth. This is not the only martial arts school I have seen, but it is the only one I have seen that reaches such a diverse group of kids with different needs and challenges. The regular classes help kids stay in a calm focused state, so they are not making decisions out of fear or anxiety. The leadership classes teach them how to make good decisions in that space, and of course, to lead. This school makes a good community.
This program is exceptional. The staff are highly trained, professional and genuinely enjoy what they do. My son progressed through the program to attain his first degree black belt by 9yrs old and is now working to towards his second degree belt. In addition to martial art skills he has developed focus, discipline and leadership skills. Highly recommended.
Vision Martial Arts taekwondo is a great way to keep the family active. We have been students of Vision for many years now. The Vision instructors have all helped us build confidence in our selves. It has had a positive influence on my son. Taekwondo has helped him to be confident, respectful and to always have a positive attitude. Vision is like an extended family who learns and grows together. We have many friends at Vision and enjoy training with Vision Martial Arts.
What an absolute experience with Vision Martial Arts. Sr. Master Wegmann is an inspiration and positive leading female role model for my girls! The programs are phenomenal from forms classes to weapons, sparring, fitness, and leadership. Here they also learn and develop the characteristics of leadership such as respect, honesty, communication, discipline, and belief. Not only that, but I also have been able to join Vision and we have experienced this growth together as a family which is what I cherish the most. Vision Martial Arts is a fantastic academy and I highly recommend it!
Vision Taekwondo has been an instrumental part of helping build my daughters self confidence. The instructors are very professional and encourage each child to work hard to reach their full potential. They make each class enjoyable and beneficial. Once you are a part of this you feel like family.
I have been attending Vision Martial Arts for 11 years. As a 15 year old, I have learned so much. Vision has not only taught me all about Taekwondo, but has taught me many life lessons, such is courage, respect, and perseverance. All of the instructors at Vision push me to do my best to help pursue my goals. I highly recommend Vision Martial Arts to kids and adults of all ages.
My daughter has been attending for three years. When she first started, the classes were focused equally on form and fun. As they advance through the belt levels, instructors ask for more out of the students. It’s done so naturally and the instructors still keep class fun that it feels like a magic trick. The instructors are excellent and my daughter has enjoyed her time here!
My family has been attending Vision Martial arts here in Cary for about 3 years now. Both the Tiny Tigers program (younger kids) as well as the traditional Taekwondo track have been a huge benefit, both physically and mentally for us. I couldnt recommend the instructors here enough!
A great martial arts academy. The instructors are wonderful with kids and help build their self confidence while teaching valuable life skills. I would highly recommend Vision Martial Arts.
We love this school! My daughter has been taking classes for a little over 6 months now and we have seen a fantastic improvement in her focus and confidence! She is five years old and is determined to earn her 9th degree black belt.
Great place to learn Taekwondo! Super nice and professional. Communicates well and is great with their students of all ages.
Awesome instructors with kids best interest at heart. Excellent role models!!! Would definitely recommend this school without reservations!
My 8-year-old has just finished his 2nd year at Vision Martial Arts. He loves it, and I appreciate how easy it is to schedule the classes around our other activities. The instructors do a great job at motivating the kids to focus and do their best.
I trained at the Cary location for over ten years as a young adult and now have a daughter in the Tiny Tigers program. The caliber of taekwondo instruction I received allowed me to compete at a high level and the life skills I learned were invaluable. I look forward to watching my young daughter grow as both a person and an athlete with instructors that I know and trust.
Great online classes to help our kids stay active and learn something new over the past months. We are so glad we found Vision during all the time at home this year!
We joined Vision just before the pandemic began and they have been terrific throughout this time in ensuring our child was able to participate fully via Zoom and enjoy your growth during these unprecedented times.
My family has been practicing Taekwondo with Vision for over 5 years. It has been a wonderful experience and we now have 2 black belts and one almost black belt in our house. Senior Master Wegman is a fantastic instructor and is amazing with children. I have also been impressed how they were able to pivot quickly during this crazy year of 2020 and offer Zoom and outdoor classes until it was safe to go back into the studio. Their Covid practices are top notch and we all feel very safe practicing at Vision. Also, the camps that they offer (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Zombie, etc) are always so much fun for my kids in the summer.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Vision. We especially appreciate their communication and the precautions they have taken during the pandemic.
Ive trained at this academy for 25 years (yes, theyve been at this location for that long), and have no intention of leaving any time soon. That alone should tell you what you need to know. Senior Master Wegmann is an excellent technician and an exceptional instructor. When the COVID pandemic began, I had concerns about the future of the school. But the entire Vision organization was quick to implement online classes and strict safety protocols in each of its academies in the Triangle. Your mileage may vary with online classes and events, where personal circumstances might affect your experience (internet service provider, open floor space for training), but its certainly worth a try!
Great excersize for entire family while learning discipline, respect and self confidence along the way.
Stealing money from parents and refusing to refund stolen, unauthorized charges. STILL reporting false information below and refusing to refund unauthorized charges. Absolutely disgusting.
Great place! Highly recommend to anyone!!!!
One of the first places I trained in the martial arts was here. I know some people may have a negative view of the school, but this is one of the better places in the area to train martial arts.
I am a 2nd degree black belt and have traind here for all of my 5 years.I LOVE THIS PLACE.the instructor and assistance was super kind.I have made behaver mistakes but i still love this place.
Epic!!!! Trained here so long and is better than any other taekwondo school for miles around.
RUN AWAY!!! My family attended Allens in Cary and also Vision Martial Arts in Fuquay, for about 10 years combined. What started as a good experience deteriorated over the years because the owner became less involved with teaching martial arts, and appeared to be focused primarily on increasing his revenues. After a scandal involving the rape of some minor female students at Vision in Fuquay (the instructor was convicted and is now a registered sex offender!), we continued to have faith in the embattled owner. He led us to believe that he was involved with the investigation of the offending instructor, who was also his best friend at the time. We now believe that the owner of this school and the local Vision Martial Arts schools is the Joe Paterno of martial arts in North Carolina! We warned him that the instructor was getting too close to the minor students, but he continued to employ him until someone else reported the rapes to the police. We immediately cancelled our contract in disgust last year after 10 years of being duped. We have 3 daughters and would not dare take them to a school whose owner turns a blind eye to (or fails to recognize) inappropriate behavior involving his instructors and his students. He continued to pursue monthly payments from us, and turned our account over to a collection agency, even though we gave him written notice of the cancellation due to moral reasons and concern for the welfare of our daughters. We now attend White Tiger TKD in Cary, and although we pay more per month than we did at Allens Taekwondo, the training at White Tiger is FAR SUPERIOR to what this place offers. The White Tiger instructors are actual master level instructors from Korea, not like the young unpaid students who often teach classes at Allens and at the Vision schools. I concur with Poshs little gym analogy as well as the comments regarding financial gain. I am not being compensated or encouraged by White Tiger in any manner for this review - they are not even aware that I finally became annoyed enough to write it. I kept getting mail from the collection agency and from the national organization affiliated with this school. Got a membership renewal letter in the mail today, and that was the last straw. Dont waste your time training or even visiting here - there are plenty of serious local schools from which to choose.
