My son and I drive from Holly Springs to attend Master Kims Tae Kwon Do in Cary. Together, we are building a bond while accomplishing something together as a family and as a team. I personally feel in the best shape of my life and thank the Kim family.

I cant say enough good things about Kims Taekwondo. My 9yo started there nearly two years ago and watching her learn and grow has been amazing. Master Kim and Master Preston are awesome, kind and motivating but also firm. There is a true focus on perfection and a deep learning and love of TKD vs. just handing out belts. I recommend Kims to anyone who has a child (or for themselves!) interested in martial arts. Seriously, just the absolute best and family owned and run!!

Kims Taekwondo Center is a fantastic family-run studio that is great for all ages and experience levels! Master Kim and Master Preston are extremely encouraging and kind. Theyre especially great with children and are also very adept at adjusting to different personalities. My son has been coming here for about a year and Ive seen him grow so much in confidence, strength, and flexibility. I joined him when classes went online during the pandemic and weve had a blast learning and practicing together!

What a fabulous experience!!! We celebrated our sons (7 yr old) birthday party at Kims Taekwondo Center. Everyone (birthday boy, kids, we, my family, parents) had a great time.Right from our first contact to set up a date, this place was extremely responsive and professional.Mr and Mrs Kim are an amazing one-two punch (pun intended). Mr Kim was amazing with the kids in general and especially with Taekwondo. It wasnt just about punching or kicking but also about focus and respect towards country, parents, teachers and others. Everyone had so much fun.Special thanks to Mrs. Kim. She is a fabulous lady. Right from the start she had everything under control. The place was adequately decorated for our birthday and the table and chairs were in place. She took all the items we had brought with us and set things up right away. She was in charge of all the activities and took fabulous pictures as well. We could truly focus on having fun and enjoy our sons birthday party.These guys know how to go above and beyond and then some.If you are considering a Taekwondo birthday (or even another theme), look no further. Fun guaranteed!!!!!

Awesome family owned and run Taekwondo studio. Master Kim is great with all ages and personalities. 2 of my kids tend to be on the shy/anxious side and Master Kim has done wonders with helping them open up and build confidence. We love that he teaches traditional Korean Taekwondo not only as a sport but also a philosophy. They teach and model discipline, self control, respect, perseverance, integrity. The wife and teenage son are also amazing, keeping the place running and helping teach classes. They treat everyone like family and are great with kids. 100% recommend!!!

Not Just For Kids!Both of my kids are students at Kims Taekwondo Center. Both of them have thrived in class. Nothing is given, everything is earned.I decided to join after watching the kids take class, and its one of the best things I could have done for myself. Master Kim challenges me. He pushes me to my limits, then taps me forward just a little bit more. Im stronger, healthier, faster, and lighter for it. There are all-adult classes, or I can take classes alongside my kids.I have highly recommended this dojang to anyone who has an interest in Taekwondo in the past, and continue to do so. Kid or adult!

We were looking for a birthday party venue for our 7 year old boy and came across Kim’s Taekwondo place. It was an unique offering and the whole experience was fantastic. Master Kim and his staffs were great with 15 boys and they prepared all of setups. Basic lesson and breaking board were great and parents got to participate by holding boards for their kids. The office manager kindly took great pictures and shared them with us. All parents and many kids commented how fun it was and we would definitely recommend the birthday party option.

We had my sons birthday party here this past week. Im not exaggerating when I say it is the best kids party Ive ever been to. Truly fun for kids and parents. The staff understands children and fun. They didnt compromise on any level. So fun. They learned about taekwando also, and my son came home wanting to go back.

My sons and I love Kim’s Taekwondo Center! It is our 2nd home and the family has become a part of ours! My sons have gained control, confidence and respect! Master Kim truly cares for his students! Highly recommended!!!

Great place for learning martial arts!

Couldnt be happier with Master Kim and his teaching staff. It is amazing to see how 3-5 year olds listen and focus. Little ones, including my daughter, have so much fun while learning discipline, respect, and confidence. I cant wait for my 2 year old to turn 3 and start Taekwondo with Master Kim.

I cannot say enough good things about Master Kim. He is such an incredible teacher -- firm yet loving, fun yet knowing his craft so well. Every single kid responds to him, from shy kids, to overly energetic kids to kids on the spectrum. He is something super impressive, like an 8th degree black belt, a legit Korean master, this is definitely not one of the chain studios. You walk through the doors and are treated like family, you can tell that it is a family-run studio. All of the assistant teachers are great, from the visiting masters from Korea (many from the national team!) to Master Kims teenage son and wife who keeps the place humming. Unlike many kids activities which get old pretty quickly, all of us look forward to coming here several times a week. A pleasure in every respect, we feel so lucky that we found Kims Taekwondo Center and the Kim family. We look forward to spending many more years with them as our son works his way up to his black belt.

This is one of the best taekwondo studios we have ever been to. Master Kim and his family love the kids so much. Our kids thoroughly enjoy going to class.

We started Kims TKD about a month ago. Coming from Houston, and leaving a gym we loved, our standards were high! After searching 5 other gyms before Kims, I was depressed, (as I wanted both my son and I to continue training under someone that not only taught us the moves, but has passion about the sport and is willing to train a bit harder to solidify results! ).Although we already signed a contract with a well known gym, I was not happy with the training and decided to continue looking. I called around and talked with the owner. Her description of Kims TKD aligned with what I was looking for. Im so glad I kept fighting to find a gym and family I can be proud to be apart of! Amazing instructors who care about form, technique, control, and respect!!!

My daughter has been taking Taekwondo from Master Kim for several years. I cannot express how much time he puts into developing his students. He teaches confidence, discipline, respect, and essential skills that help them develop not only in tkd but in life. I highly recommend Kim’s Taekwondo center!

Our three kids attend Kims Taekwondo Center. Weve had a very positive experience.Facility: Clean gym with instructional area separated from seating area by a short wall.Value: The monthly rate covers 2-3 sessions per week per child, and we often have back-to-back classes since our kids span different age ranges. We feel we get our moneys worth.Quality of Instruction: Fantastic. My sense is that were extremely lucky to have an instructor of Master Kims skill level teaching our children. Our kids personalities range from stubborn, to reserved, to all over the place. Master Kim gets them all to focus and follow instruction, all while having a positive attitude. His level of patience with our 3-year-old amazes me.Quality of Personnel: Again, fantastic. We started TKD because we adopted our younger daughter from Korea and wanted our family to connect with Korean culture. We found that and more. The Kims are so supportive and caring toward all our children. They strive to connect with each of their students on a personal level, which has been very hard to find in past extracurricular activites weve tried.Overall, were extremely satisfied with our experience and would highly recommend Kims Taekwondo Center.

Kims Tae Kwon Do in my opinion is how every Tae Kwon Do Center should be! Master Kim is so patient, considerate and engaging to his students.My kids love it here and is always looking forward to attending class. They are exercising not just their bodies but their minds as well. I would highly reccommend this place.Comtact them for a chance to try out before committing to lessons. The time and money is well spent and so worth it.
