I’ve been going to Cape Cuts for around three years now. I’ve always had a lovely experience, but after today I will not be going back. Today I came in with a friend and saw a hairdresser that I have not seen before, as the usual hairdresser that I saw was not there. My friend that drove me has a licensed service dog, and was sitting quietly next to me as I waited for my turn. When the hairdresser finished up the client she was seeing, she immediately come over to us and told us we could not a dog in here. We explained that she was an ADA accredited service dog and was allowed to be in here. The hairdresser not only did not listen to us, but began to berate us and told us that not only was she not a service dog, but began demanding to know what was wrong with my friend that she needed a service dog. She then added that if she was a service dog for anxiety, then that wasn’t a real service dog (my friends service dog is not for anxiety, but also what a horrible thing to say!). Not only was it horribly embarrassing for my friend, but incredibly rude. The service dog in question was sitting down near my friend, and had not given any reason for the hairdresser to doubt she was not a “real service dog” by barking or being disruptive. She was wearing a vest and again, sitting quietly by my friend ready to alert if she needed it. We ended up leaving because of how hostile the hairdresser was. If the hairdresser had simply asked what her tasks were or had let us know she was allergic to dogs, my friend would have been more than happy to leave. This was incredibly disappointing, and I am so sad that there are still people who are willing to discredit the important work that service dogs do!

If I could give a zero I would. I went to get a hair cut and told the girl I wanted to see what my hair look like at shoulder length and I might want to go shorter just to warn her, when I saw the shoulder length I did want shorter and asked for a few more inches taken off and she was really rude about it. I ended up leaving with not the hair cut I wanted. Will not be going back.

I always go here for my regular haircuts. Very friendly owner and staff. Always happy with the result. They do a great job. Never much waiting.

We take our two little boys there and they do the absolute best job! They are so patient and kind to us as well! We are typically in and out within 10 mins. I love it there and plan to be a customer for life!
