I appreciated the way they kept me informed as to the date and time of my appointment and calling a bit ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive.
I bought a refrigerator from Sears 2.5 years ago and it is no longer working. The part I need is on back order and the fastest it can come is 3 weeks from now and even that isn’t guaranteed by Sears. After calling and being transferred 6 times, then calling 4 other numbers I found for them still nothing is being done. No partial refund, no help with a loaner fridge until it can be fixed, no coverage on the food that went bad. Just a constant runaround from dept to dept getting literally no help from anyone. You would think that 1500 bucks would get a decent product but it doesn’t. Sears and kenmore are both horrible places to do any business with and you will be left screwed if anything goes wrong with your product.
I had a mower that was under warranty that needed repair. After more than two dozen calls to more than two dozen “customer service representatives”, so they claimed, over a five month period the issue was finally resolved. Sears used to be a great business to deal with on appliances, power equipment and everything else. They had great customer service and stood behind their warranties. That is no longer the case. You cannot even find anyone to talk to and get passed from one person to another who all have no idea what to do. Repair shops no longer repair appliances and power equipment under Sears warranties because Sears will not pay them.
Very expensive service and parts. Parts still on backorder with no updates on when they are expected. Issue still unresolved.
This place doesnt exist anymore need to update
The serviceman was excellent. Even he agreed that this hot water tank had issues and should be replaced under warranty, however your warranty company thought otherwise. So I had to pay $99 for nothing. After fighting with YOUR warranty company (Customer Solutions) on Thursday October 10th, they have now decided it should have been covered under warranty and need to have ANOTHER service man come out. Makes no sense to me at all. Otherwise the serviceman was friendly & professional.
Technician came to home and diagnosed the problem, he was able to fix the problem in a timely manner and I have not had a problem since fixing. If you have a Sears product, I would recommend Sears service for all repairs.
The technician who came out was very efficient and personable. However, scheduling the appointment was abysmal. I scheduled the appointment, and it took three weeks to get on the schedule. I work night shifts as a nurse, and was up half the day on Nov. 1 waiting for the tech. No show. Opened up my email box around noon and Sears had cancelled the appointment. No call, no text! No rest for work! So, I called to find out what the problem was, and the call went to a call center in the Philippines. The girl finally told me after going around and around with her that the day was overbooked, and I was dropped from the schedule. THREE WEEKS OUT. Are you kidding me? Are your schedulers even properly trained?? I wanted the truck roll $89 service fee for the rescheduled appointment to be dropped for my inconvenience. She said she couldnt. I talked to the manager who was also a Philipino and extremely rude, and she wouldnt drop the fee either. She was worse than the first girl. Keep your call centers in the US where they speak English properly, and fix your lousy scheduling!!! This, on a Kenmore fridge we have already had trouble with before! It was made by LG. I would never purchase ANYTHING made by LG again, and likely wont purchase appliances from Sears because of the problems Ive encountered since. Sears, you really let me down.
The customer service to schedule is a NIGHTMARE!!!! Sears has gone down hill so much. It is truly sad. Waiting more than a week at a time to get someone out to the house after you buy extended warranty is TERRIBLE. Customer service does not do what they say they will. The repair man was great though. I give kudos to the A&E Contractors.
I was so happy to see our A+E repair man. He was the same gentleman who has done maintenance and repairs for us many times. He knew our washer, in fact had rebuilt it through the years with the maintenance agreements. This time it was a simple repair and done quickly. I am very happy with the work.
Service was good but was shocked I was charged over $250 just for labor. Part needing replaced was $13. Tech was here about 10 minutes to complete repair and my total bill was $284! Guess Ill shop around for next repair.
I have scheduled a repair twice, and both times the technician did not show up. I have now taken two full days off of work, and yet no one has come to my house. When calling support, they cannot provide any type of smaller service window. They only hope that you take a third day off work, in hopes that they arrive this time. I will never again request service from Sears or buy any type of appliance there because Lord knows they will not show up to even attempt to fix it. You cannot even call a local branch, you just get patched through to support.
The appliance repair departmant is the biggest joke I have ever come across. The have canceled on me 3 times now and the technician states it is to far for him to drive. The technician who doesnt want to drive to my house is pictured below. WHy do you continue to make these appointments and then cancel after 6 hours? Please feel free to contact me.
Your service repairman. Patrick was on time, polite, knowledgeable, and fixed our freezer timely. It was much more difficult to get a representative on the phone to make the initial contact! This representative had the name on the account incorrect, the phone number incorrect, and was so very slow to process the initial repair order. Thank goodness Patrick was able to call my cell phone to get correct information.
We will never buy a major appliance, such as an air conditioner, from Sears again. Last summer it took them a month to get it installed. We were promised 10% in Shop Your Way Points and received 1%. The compressor on their Kenmore air conditioner broke this summer. It took them two weeks to send a technician, then the part had to be ordered, which was another two weeks. The repair was scheduled for Wednesday between 8 an 5. We waited most of the day when they called and said the repairman would not be here till Thursday between 8 and five. They finally came at 2:30 PM. In Ohio we only use air conditioning for three months in the summer. After paying top dollar for the unit and installation we would have had to pay $2000 more if we hadnt purchased the extended warranty. No wonder Sears is having to close stores. It not the store, or service that used to be.
Very happy with John. He fixed it and was very clean& nice, also knew what he was doing. I offered him ice cold water for road. I think it was like92% outside. Also, he offered me to me EXT warranty, I said yes become every thing keeps on breaking on it.:). My husband forgot he bought warranty. You Sears called to renewal it so I had them come to see if they could fix. They came out ordered parts, then John had to fix them.I bought a other 3year on gas grill thanks Sears I HOPE WE Get MORE YEARS OUT THIS ONEWE LOVE SEARS
The service tech didnt even run a cycle to check if the washer was working and filling properly. He used the dishwasher check list NOT the clothes washer checklist. The bigger problem is the scheduling department who scheduled 4 technicians to do the job that one technician was quite capable of doing.
The tech Zach was very nice and did a great job of explaining the repairs that were needed. He really seemed like he cared. Great service.
Made the appointment on Monday for Thursday, said they would be there between 8am and 5pm, the repairman called at 2pm and said they would not be able to make it today and we would have to reschedule. My wife took off work, stayed around the house all day waiting for the repairman to show up. First review I have ever written, but I felt strongly about sharing my experience.
The repairmen have been very nice. But it is still broken. They have to come out again. It hasnt worked properly for 2 years. The master protection agreement doesnt mean anything if they cant fix the unit. Im keeping my fingers crossed that Sears will come through and fix it before autumn.
Will not be buying from Sears again, repair for my Samsung washer took two weeks. Had to wait one week for them to come out and run the diagnostic then we had to wait another week for the part( pump). First technician order the wrong part luckily the second technician had the part in his truck. We could have been down for the third week if he did not have part. This is the second time in 6 year that I have to have repairs on the washer . First was a major job under warranty--replacing the entire drum and door boot. Lousy product and service, will be buying from local own company that gives service in two to three days
Dennis did a great job!Washer working fine.Thank you.Al & Betty Neifert
Technician and service were great. A+ to the tech. Unfortunately the product is lousy. First lawn tractor was a lemon. Had the warranty so kudos to Sears for replacing it. So far, have had 3 or 4 carburetors, a deck and multiple other issues. So far, for the price I was given for parts and labor to fix this tractor (under warranty) they could have replaced it twice. So, again, service very good, technician excellent, product is disappointing.
My dryer was running at a very high temperature, no matter the setting & blew a fuse. The blown fuse was replaced on the dryer & I was instructed not to use it until the dryer vent was cleaned. I had the dryer vent cleaned out & any/all settings including air dry continue to run at the hottest temperature. So now I have to wait a third day from 8-5 for the dryer to be looked at again.
Very nice person, was on time. He did the yearly maintenance in a reasonable time and did not make a mess. He also offered some helpful maintenance advice.
Repair person was knowledgeable taught us how to take care of the problem ourselves if it happened again. Great service on time and friendly. I dont mind that repair services charge fees what I appreciate about Sears is that it goes towards the cost of the repair.
The tech had a dont care attitude, he even said to call store and complain. We have shopped Sears appliances and warranties for 39 years. Sears may have just lost good customers.
Everything was great.Technicians were on time - friendly - knowledgeable - confident and answered my questions. All of the appliances scheduled were serviced.Thank You!
Our service person Zack Stockard was very knowledgeable, polite and he quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem. We are very satisfied with the service you provided. Our refrigerator is now working properly.
I was pressured into buying a $300 service contract by the very-difficult-to-understand lady on the phone -- which is only good for ONE YEAR. Way too expensive for a one-year contract. The repairman was pleasant enough, but he couldnt fix the problem because there was a leak in the hose -- and they dont work on hoses. So he ended up adding $15 for hose (which he did not fix) on top of the $79 for the service call. Of course, I didnt have to pay anything because I had purchased the service contract ahead of time, but I could have been out $94 instead of $320. My daughter worked at a Maytag store for many years and sold service contracts to customers. Even she said that $300 for one year seems high. Bad form, Sears. Bad form.
Never again !! After 3 months, 3 repair men and now 3 different parts deliverd to my home. My family of 8 is still without a washer! Whats the piont in buying the warranty or even the extended warranty if it isnt worth anything. Just more money in Sears pocket more out of mine. Well after spending thousands and thousands on my appliances I cant believe this is the way Sears treats the people who keep their doors open!
Was not a sears service man I had to find and pay for him. He works for Quality heating and cooling not Sears.
The repairman did a great job of fixing the problem and also showing me how to avoid this situation in the future. Also he did it quickly 20 minutes from start to finish . Thanks this teck is highly recommended.
The Repairman was very nice and efficient.
The repairman said there was nothing he could do as the part needed was unavailable. I thought this odd and questioned it since the appliance is not that old. When he first arrived I explained the problem and my suspicions that it may be a bad door seal. He said it wasnt. However, later when it was dark, my wife noted that the light was on inside the refrigerator because she could see it through a separation in the door seal. Exactly what I first said. Consequently we paid $106 for nothing. I guess we will have to buy a new refrigerator, bet you cant guess what kind it wont be?
Very happy with the work. The repairman got there early, found the problem, fixed it and was done in 20 minutes. He even had suggestions that could prevent the problem in the future. I would call them again if any of my other appliances go down.
The repairman, John, was on time, friendly and courteous, very professional and effective in his work. Great job!
The technician was very knowledgeable, gave me some great tips and recommendations, and was very patient with all my questions.
Excellent and easy online seedling with only one day wait! Wonderful serviceman who I remembered from Grove appliance...boy...their loss!
Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service person.
Service guy was very nice, helpful and professional. He was out the first time and had to order the part he needed.Came back out less than a week later and the problem was fixed.
Wes was polite, knowledgeable, neat and was finished with the preventative maintenance in a timely manner. Couldnt ask for better service.
I am always satisfied with the quality of Sears service, and the expertise of the technicians.
John, the tech that serviced my lawn tractor is great! He cares about his work and his customers and always checks everything twice!
Serviceman was prompt, called ahead, introduced himself. Asked questions on the problem, fixed it, gave advice. Excellent
We have a premium in home sales contract on all home appliances for both sides of our duplex. Service has been declining and becoming more problematic whenever we try to get something done. This time we needed a new water heater. The initial service tech put in the request, but after a week our renter was still without hot water. Further calls only got us a water heater, but it was at the store. We had to pick up the water heater, find an installer ourselves, and have it done, and then turn in the costs for reimbursement. This is in no way the service plan that we have been paying for and receiving in the past. If sears has changed their plan, they should have told us. I am very unsatisfied.
The technician was knowledgeable and fixed the issue quickly.
Not Sears anymore. Its owned and operated by a different company.
The tech was right on time and promptly fixed my refrigerator. Problem taken care of.
My experience was nothing but positive. The service was prompt, efficient, the technician was personable, friendly - an excellent representative for Sears.
Wess did a great job
Technician was on time. Microwave fixed. Broke again next day, same problem. Have to wait 5 more days for technician to come again to fix. No microwave.
Very satisfied in every way!
Great! friendly, informative and fast
$108.00 for nothing!
Extremely expensive
The repairman is away!
