Thin man has some of the best beers in Buffalo as well as also rotating then frequently. Their sour beers are excellent. I enjoyed the location with nice decor and amicable outdoor seating. The food is also very good, I tried the bacon appetizer and I highly recommend it. Well be back if Im in town again!
Thin Man has great food and an impressively long list of beer options. The service and atmosphere were great and I would have loved to stay longer and try more beer options but had to get going. If I had tried everything on their menu as I would have liked to, I most definitely would not have been a Thin Man. Thank you.
Great place, their brews are awesome. This place has sidewalk tables, indoor seating on the ground level, plus an upstairs bar, with a variety of games. The upstairs area even has a balcony where you can eat and enjoy your crafted drinks. One more thing about Thin Man Brewery is the people working there are highly customer oriented.
I was only there for trivia and beers. Beers were good. Atmosphere was also good.Ill definitely be back. Next time Ill order food and update this review
Exactly what you want in a brewery. Theyve got vegan options and beer! Pretzels with vegan beer cheese, impossible burger with vegan cheese, fried cauliflower hoagie, vegan bulgogi bowl, and more. Vegan options are not labeled on the menu but the staff is very well versed in what is vegan and what isnt. Everything was delicious and exactly what you want with your beer. Theyve got a rooftop patio, spacious interior, and outdoor curbside seating. Great spot and will definitely be back
Stayed in this neighborhood on vacation to Buffalo and read the reviews about this brewery prior. Excellent atmosphere, service, drinks and food. Logan was extremely accommodating and gave us some places to explore in the city.
Went there with some friends earlier and the food and drinks were great. Our waiter was also very nice and friendly, it was my first time going here but I’d definitely go again. Great atmosphere, and reasonable prices
Deceivingly a lot larger structure than it looks like from the outside. Great option place to host a private party. Have a nice area for games and such.Atmosphere is very urban and modern. Great staff and service. Fun place to chill on a week night with friends. Love that they can host mini events as well such as Harry Potter clue night.Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the variety of different dishes on the menu as well as unique drink options.
The beer list is extensive and well crafted from what I had. My food was excellent and our server exceeded that !
The lighting for most of the night was poor, and I dont enjoy reading in poor lighting. The food and drink was marvelous. #sick
Brewery that brew IPA thats actually pale! Yes! Their sour raspberry is my husbands new favorite. We think they have good selection of food. Wings were awesome. We took some more beer home and enjoyed it.
First time here, good atmosphere..some good beer..i would recommend.
I was in town with a group of co-workers for a beer festival in October. We always visit local places when we work these events so we figured we would come out and see what these guys had to offer. They had some great beers of their own on tap that night along with some fantastic guest beer. Cheers!
Vary good food nice selection of food had small issue that why 4 stars
Great local brewery, with a lot of variety. Food is very good, and the staff is very attentive. Make it a point to stop in here.
Looking for a few cool places to go during the winter months. This place was packed when you first go in, but they have an awesome upstairs with pinball machines, darts and other games. The bartenders were fantastic. They were on point with service, friendly and fun. They recommended some great beers and gave us tasters before to make sure we wanted to commit to the full size. My favorite was the Minky boodle sour. So light and refreshing with a good ABV. But honestly, there werent many beers there i didnt like. I would 100 percent come back in the spring/ summer when they open the garage upstairs and the rooftop patio.
My girlfriend and I went here on a random Monday and it seemed pretty busy. We didnt know it was restaurant week and our waiter told us the special. 2 sandwiches and 2 beers for $20.19. Great deal. We both had the same thing, cheesesteak and a minkey boodle beer. The cheesesteak was good, a little dry could have used some sauce and th chips it came with were kind of plain. The beer was really good and we bought a 4 pack to go. The 4 pack was $16.49 which I think is cheaper at consumers. Waiter was nice and friendly. Definitely would go back.
Great beer and wings(blue cheese is amazing also)
Server was very friendly and interactive, but the appetizers were lukewarm, plus the food selection is very limited. My mixed drink was mostly juice with a slight hint of alcohol, which didn’t justify the price. The beer selection was intriguing.
Really great food, good service, friendly staff 👍
Oh my gosh. Favorite place!!! Staff amazing. Food unbelievable good. Cant wait to go back !!!!!
Good beer, grossly overpriced food.
Food was amazing, service even better. Great beer and cocktail selection.
I come here often but the girl at the stand with blonde hair was pretty nasty the second we walked in. definitely seemed like we were bothering her. she made us feel super uncomfortable. we ended up not eating there.
Awful experience. A group of 5 of us were sitting at a table for 15 minutes before we had to ask the host to get us a waiter, he responded with an attitude like we were bothering him. 15 minutes Later A mutual friend we knew came up and started talking to us next to the table without a Mask on, that was when a heavy set manager with an obvious ego problem started yelling at the whole table that we have to wear our mask when we walk around even though none of us had even gotten up from the table yet. After she was done ranting for 2 minutes I proceeded to ask her where our drinks were since we had been there for 30 minutes. After arguing I asked to speak to her boss and she said she was the boss. Now I’d like to know what bar owner is walking around serving food and drinks on a Saturday night? Obvious lie I know people that know the owner, awful management felt very very uncomfortable. She then told us to leave and we had no problem with it. We won’t be going back there ever again and will be telling everyone we know not to go there. Maybe if they get rid of the heavyset manager Or “owner” should I say, lol, we’ll go back.
Tried 10 beers and every single one was excellent. Beer cheese was awesome too.
Wombat ipa is excellently hazy & the truffle fries are hecka truffley
Good beer but service was not that great.
Always good beer and food
Awesome atmosphere and fun fruity beers!
Nice atmosphere food good drinks is on👍
Our server Zack was great but the bartender was so rude…won’t be back!
Too be honest, I was very disappointed with my experience at Thin Man. A group of 5 of us (4 men 1 child) arrived at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away and given a very limited brunch menu (picture attached). When we asked if we can see the lunch menu we were told they serve brunch only until 3:00, even though the website says otherwise we didnt argue. We all ordered and our food came out about 45 minutes later. My nephew was the first to recieve his order. He ordered a cheeseburger and chips off the kids menu but asked for no cheese. When he recieved his order they gave him a cheeseburger with cheese and hash browns. Of course being 4 years old he almost had a meltdown because he doesnt like cheese and wanted chips. The server did apologize and took his order back to correct it.I ordered the beef brisket & eggs and frankly, it was gross. When I recieved my order it was 3 small pieces of brisket and a pile of scrambled eggs (picture attached). I did not receive the breakfast potatoes and carmelized onions like the description said, but the server did bring me some potatoes when I asked for them. My brisket was very overcooked. It looks like they might reheat by putting it on the flattop and may have forgotten about it. It almost had the consistency of jerky. When I went to try the eggs, they were raw. When I cut into them raw eggwhite rushed out of them. I could not eat a single bite of the eggs. Our server eventually came and cleared our plates. I was expecting for her to ask what was wrong with my food seeing how it was all still there on the plate, but she cleared the plates and never asked how things were.I am giving this place 3 stars because the other 3 guys I was with did enjoy their food so maybe my order was just a fluke. I might try this place again, but it wont be my first choice.
Great beer, awesome food, I love this place!
Used to love this place but some friends and I received horrible service over the weekend. We were seated upstairs in a separate room away from the bar. Our server was absolutely the sweetest, so attentive and kind. We thought the brewery closed at 11pm as per the website. But at 10:40 pm, a employee without a mask on came upstairs and started yelling at us, asking us why we were still there and that they closed 40 min ago. We had no idea; we had just ordered more drinks 5-10 min previous to that. We apologized, got up to leave, unable to finish our drinks, then went to the bathroom downstairs. Another employee burst into the bathroom and started yelling at us to get out, then personally escorted us out while yelling something at us and slamming the door behind us. Really weird, hostile experience and frankly, undeserved. I understand restaurants / bars closing early on slow nights but maybe let your patrons know without screaming at them and escorting them out like criminals.
I like this place! Their food is really good, and innovative. They have fun drink names and good drinks, as well as a large microbrew selection. Their beer is ok - not my favorite brewery in town, but definitely a good size selection. they have a super fun karaoke night on Mondays, and the atomsphere is fun. Dont forget skee ball and pinball! I didnt get a chance to play these until Id been there a few times and it definitely changed the experience. Nice staff and a great location to meet frienfs and have tasty food and fun.
Great service and friendly staff!
So excited to see vegan and gluten free options on their menu. Finally got in to try some and it was fantastic! The vegan pretzel bites w/beer cheese was good. Cheese needed a good stir before eating though, had good flavor. I had the mac and no cheese and was blown away at how fantastic it was! Incredible delicious everything was cooked perfectly and the flavor was out of this world. My husband had the tofu banh mi and was so happy I suggested it! He said it was amazing! The service was wonderful, the beer was great and we will definitely be going back soon!
Awesome spot!Best bartenders and great beers!
Our neighborhood go-to. Great beer, good food, efficient yet laid back staff. Nice place to hang out. Good selection of old faves and new release beers to go.
Manager with a vendetta, came in, and was immediately kicked out for not wearing my mask properly.Had no idea what the violation was and would have complied without question. Awesome way to start a Sunday at 3:30 pm
The fount of what they brew is tasted and it good
Two days ago we had horrible service. Very rude employees. It was honestly astonishing how rude they were. We’ll be going to Big Ditch from now on.
1st time there. Love the whole setup. Ambiance is awesome and beer selection is good. Bartenders are right on the ball and they come over with the beer list in hand. Awesome building too with 3 floors of fun.
We had our mothers 70th birthday at Thin Man on Elmwood. Lisa at this location is so helpful and efficient. She helped me pick a menu for the number of guests and was very accommodating for dates and time. They take care of everything and the food is great. The day of the party, her and the bartender Kyle, were amazing. Everyone had a blast and we are already thinking of the next party we can have there.
I recently had to go to a funeral for someone who carried the family name Jenkins. I thought it would brighten the familys day if I brought them some of The Awesome Jenkins beer from Thin Man. When I learned that the beer wouldnt be available for awhile, the merchant from the Village Beer Merchant got me in contact with the brewer who was able to scrounge up some cans for me to bring to the family. He was buried with one of those cans and a smile was brought to the familys faces when they were able to enjoy the rest of the cans together. Thank you so much Thin Man!
Awesome place great wings Def recommend
Great food great beer friendly staff, they even let us store our bikes in the vestibule while we ate.
Super fun atmosphere for all ages! Kids loved the games on the second level and adults loved the tasty variety of craft beers! Their steak hoagie was incredible, they also offer a great brunch.
Came here last night for Farrow Band concert. A great atmosphere and night. I had the My Girl Sasha and Oktoberfest beers which are my favourite (I came here for Oktoberfest last month) A great vibe in the venue. I had the late night menu - Korean Chicken bites and skin on fries. Perfect size for 2 to share.
Nice atmosphere with a few TVs choir watching the game. Two levels for when it gets busy. Friendly bartenders. The real reason to go here though is the beer. One of my favorite breweries Ive been too. There wasnt a single beer out of the 10 I tried that I didnt like. Highly recommend their neipas
The beer menu is exceptional. A lot of different options and variations, specifically of IPAs. I had wings and they were solid, nothing amazing but good. The truffle fries were good as well. Service was the high point as our waitress was very attentive.
Solid lineup of beers, wish I could have drank them all. Super friendly staff, especially Joe!
I have to say that my review has a few stipulations. Do not come on the 1st or 15th. Senior day and you cant move. The eye department at this location is amazing. All of my family has got glasses and contacts.Everyone behind the counter is so helpful and will make sure that you get everything you want in glasses. They even call you 24. Hours before they are ready (or text).
Beer was good and the food was great. The Black Francis porter is very good. The fajitas come in an iron skillet and you build your own. Very tasty
Great atmosphere, beer, and food, we will definitely be back! Wish we were closer so we could visit regularly
One of the best places in all of Buffalo to hang out, the Thin Man Brewery gives patrons everything they could want and more. Centrally located, the bar brews a wide assortment of different beers, from fruity IPAs to NE IPAs, to Sours and Stouts. There is a brew for everyone. Food is a serious step up from traditional bar grub and will leave you feeling more than satisfied. For apps you MUST get the pretzels with beer cheese and the bacon nubs -- both are out of this world. For mains I had the Schnitzel and loved it. Staff is super friendly and will make you feel at home.
This place is very cool. I cant wait to check it out in the summer when the windows and upstairs are open. Lots of beer choices and collabs worth checking out. Didnt order food but it all looked really good.
Great beer selection!
Food is typically pretty good - The last time I ordered, it was a chicken sandwich and specifically asked for no mayonnaise. When explained this to the woman who took my order she said her manager said there is nothing they can do... Disappointed and they have just lost a customer who spends a lot of money, frequently at this establishment.
Zachary was the biggest help! He recommended local places for us and was an amazing bartender who was knowledgeable and kind! The beer is as phenomenal as the service and food!
Our server Zachary was absolutely amazing, he recommended beers that my girlfriend and I each ended up loving. He really made the experience 10/10. The best part was when we were offered a board game after we were finished eating! Games and drinks? We will be back:)
I love their food, and the staff here is amazing! Their flights are huge.
Lively and trendy bar nested in Elmwood village. They serve decent craft beer and pub food. The weather was nice during my visit, prompting the staff to open garage style doors at the front of the restaurant to let in some fresh air. Our server was really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely go there again, though some of the food seems a tad overpriced.
For some reason the website has happy hour 4-6pm. Apparently the bartenders must be miss informed. The last two times I’ve been there before 6 PM I was not offered happy hour food. And when I asked about the happy hour food I was told it was only until 5 PM but drinks were good till six. Which makes no sense since the website says different
I have no idea how I forgot to post a review of Thin Man, but its one of my favorite breweries Ive been to in NY State. Good variety, lots of taps, and the guest ones have been great every time Ive visited as well. The staff, food, and atmosphere are all great, but the beer is the star of the show.
Went to the Thin Man on Elmwood for an early dinner with the kids and grandchildren. We experienced excellent service and really good food and drinks-especially “BACON NUBS Smoked and crispy fried pork belly tossed in maple brown sugar” and the haze-y IPA #11. Burning Money IPA - American 6.6% ABV Thin Man Brewery Buffalo, NY - Parking was not a problem either because Thin Man validates for free parking in the ramp right across the street.
So good. Im going to crave the Korean Chicken Bowl all the time now. Great meal and great beers! The upstairs eating area is super warm and cozy. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back.
Beer here on point! Nice outdoor and roof patio, clutch for COVID times
In the many times Ive been, always decent to damn good pub grub....beer selection...solid. Service is also good. One of the top places in Buffalo for a beer and a bite.
Their glow worm fruited gose is my favorite sour beer of all time. I buy it at a local grocery store whenever they have it in stock. I havent visited the brewery yet but plan on it. Would love to try one on tap!! 10/10
Went in with an open mind and the hope of a friendly encounter...Found the bartenders to be too preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves to bother with the customers. The drinks were not exactly to my liking, a bit too much attempt to add something special to be just a good solid beer, but that is just my personal opinion. We did not find the atmosphere to be that inviting or welcoming.. we decided this will not be a place to revisit in our Brewery tour again without a revamping of the staff..
Extra points for dog friendly in my book. I ordered the Voodoo Love Child beer and damn its good. Try it out. Outside beer garden is nice and I love a good beer garden/patio. Wait time at the bar was pretty excessive but thats pretty much to be expected at a bar. I would come back, im interested in trying the food.
Huge selection, big brews. Love it.
Service was excellent server vary attentive will go again.
Amazing beer with an outstanding menu. We had great service. Buffalo is lucky to have this kind of creative brewer in town.
Good mimosas! Interior design is very nice a calming. I did wish they had eggs Benedict for brunch. The food was still very good! My friend had theKorean bowl and it was delicious
