Mary is such a wonderful person and seamstress. She is attentive, professional and kind. Was recommended by Evermore Bridal and got a discount there with the purchase of my wedding dress. My dress was a VERY intricate two piece with a lot of beading and detail. I was assured that the owner, Cindy was very good st beadwork and alterations and enjoyed the task. She was initially very pleasant and confident. My mother in law is a very knowledgeable seamstress and it seemed she had a thoughtful grasp on my needs.My dress required:1. Hem she said would be taken from the bottom- the skirt has a built in, beaded belt2. Bustle she said she would fasten with pearls as to blend in with the look of the dress3. Taking in of the skirt and dress4. Major breast padding- she fashioned two pads in each cupShe repeatedly told me the amount of work my dress needed took a lot of time and work, costing me over $500. I trusted her. My seamstress mother in law trusted her.My dress was completed ahead of schedule... almost so quickly, I was concerned that with the amount of work she said she needed to do that it was done in a rush.At my last fitting (even if it needed more work, there was not enough time... dress was delayed from company because it was faulty the first time upon arrival) I was so excited to get my hands on it, however her attention to detail was so sloppy! It’s disheartening to think such work was done on my dress. She made a one of a kind, expensive dress look like sewing class.1. She clearly took the hem from the beaded belt on my skirt, instead of the bottom. The uniform beaded design formerly on the skirt was rearranged, with gems sticking out. She cut too much fabric from the top which she tried to conceal. She pleated the train by the bustle which made it look tacky. From the dress, she steamed the seam in the opposite direction. When we pointed it out to her she failed to acknowledge it and only half attempted to steam it in the appropriate direction.2. The bustle was pretty well done, however she fastened 1”, flat, pearl colored buttons which she hand sewed with thick tulle through my skirt. It was such an eye sore and did not compliment the dress at all. The tulle she used to create a fastener to the buttons made it impossible to remove or I’d run the risk of having holes in the skirt.My dress was dirty. My mother in law and I spent the full afternoon the day before my wedding picking off all sorts of colored thread and hair from the tulle. I would think a seamstress who works frequently with wedding dresses would be careful to avoid this.My mother in law took the bra cups out completely, which was a huge waste of $30/cup and carefully built bra cups together to fit the shape of my body.She hand sewed the beads on my belt the night before my wedding to fix the loose threads and mismatched beads and gems Cindy configured.She even resteamed the pleat on my dress.

I’ve have always been very happy with the service and timelines of this tailoring business. They do quality work!! I’ve been going to them for at least 15 years.

Have never reviewed a business in my life, but I felt it was important to share my opinion here...I am VERY disappointed with the work they did for me. I wanted sleeves added onto a dress. They told me it was no problem and that I was giving them plenty of time to get it done. I even asked them beforehand if it mattered what material I chose because I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly and came out right. No, we know how to work with any material. They called me to pick up the dress at 4:30pm the day before it was their absolute last day to get it back to me. When I got it the next day, it looked NOTHING like it should have, the sewing was elementary, and the lines/shape was neither what I had asked for nor did it compliment the dress. When the lady saw how disappointed I looked she asked if I was OK with it. I told her not really, but I need the dress and the work is done, so what can I do? She said, Well, the look can change depending on which material you choose. What a ridiculous excuse when I specifically asked about material AND went out of my way to choose one that difficult to work with! I used the same fabric to sew a belt for the dress and Im a novice sewer. Anyways, if you just need to hem your pants or something, maybe you will find them satisfactory, but if you want quality design or serious alterations, I highly advise you go to someone more knowledgeable and professional.

I had previously taken a bridesmaid dress in to be altered here and was very satisfied with the garment. Sadly, my second visit was not as good. I had told them that the zipper on my garment was not functioning properly. I had also asked for 1 layer on my dress to be altered, as the other layers fit fine. When I got the garment back, they didnt fix the zipper and said they just put candle wax on it. They also altered all of the layers of the dress. They also altered the shoulder ties and counted each as a separate layer, saying there were 4 layers when there was really 2 layers. When I put the dress on the day of the wedding, the zipper busted open in the EXACT spot that I had told them about. Thankfully we had safety pins and could hold the dress together for the wedding. I am NOT happy about my concerns not being addressed and the garment breaking in the exact spot that I said was wrong. Please listen to your customers about their concerns and requests. I paid a LOT of money for that dress to be altered and none of my requests were taken into consideration.

Excellent work on my bridal gown! Bustle was unique and complicated, but Miri found the best way for it to work! My BM didnt have any issues securing it that day, and it lasted throughout the night! Would definitely recommend bringing your bridal gown or bridesmaid dress here!

I dont know if I can put into words how amazing Mary(the owner) and the rest of the employees are at CTS.I came in 2-3 weeks ago, in a really tough situation with my bridesmaids dress that I needed for the wedding Im standing up in this weekend.Like some ladies, I bought a size that just barely fit with the intention of losing weight... well, that didnt end up being the case. So, a good family friend recommended me to come to CTS, and I am so glad I did. Mary was so kind and went out of her way to make sure all my dress alterations were met and done in a very quick 2 week turn around. She also did several other adjustments that she didnt end up charging me for. Which she did not need to do!She truly saved me from having to tell the bride about my unfortunate situation. I will be going here from now on for all of my future alterations!

The alterations were great on previous dresses and the staff is very friendly. They get things done in a timely manner. My only gripe is the prices. Most recently, they estimated $140 to take my bridesmaids dress length up 2 on the inside layer 1 on the outside layer, and a little in the waist. That is only $50 less than what I paid for the whole dress. I ended up going elsewhere because of that, sadly.

I have been a customer of CTS for years and have taken in everything from casual clothes to formal event dresses for weddings and special events. I have also taken in items for my children and husband, which have included work suits and casual attire. The team does high quality work and is great to work with. I greatly appreciate the friendly service and attention to detail!

I am a frequent shopper at Allure they they use CTS, so I decided to take a dress in for a slight alteration for a wedding. When they called to let me know the dress was ready they were sure to mention the only take cash or check. However they failed to mention their very limited Saturday hours. When I arrived at 1pm on Saturday to pick up the dress I realized they were closed. I unfortunately needed the dress for a wedding the next day. I called a couple of times hoping someone would be check the message and be able to save the day. Unfortunately that was not the case. I frantically had to search for another dress to wear. On Monday when the store opened I received no phone call and when I went to pick up the dress all they told me was that they have limited hours because of their employees.I dont mind their hours, however they arent convenient, but I believe they need to be reminding their customers of their limited hours. Very upset I was not able to wear the dress I had my heart set on.

I was very pleased with the alterations that I had done on my bridesmaid dress as well as my daughters flower girls dresses. Great customer service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. All dresses were ready to pick up on the day I was told. She even fixed a clasp and tacked in straps to my dress onsite! Wonder experience, I will continue to use CTS for all my alternation needs in the future.

Ive taken my elderly parents to CTS Custom Tailoring Services 3 different times now to get clothing adjusted and each time Cindy, the owner, has been very polite, accommodating and patient with them. That kind of service is very much appreciated-both by them and by myself. But beyond that, when you watch her work to pin the clothing for adjustments it is very obvious even to a non-professional that shes very knowledgeable and experienced at what shes doing and thats quite helpful when youre not quite sure what can be done with your clothing. The only catch is that theres a 2-week or more waiting time (at this writing). But I guess thats to be expected when you find someone whose expert services are in high demand. I highly recommend this tailor shop.

If you do end up going there, make sure to get the price up front before you end up having any work done. I didnt think of it until I went to pick up my suit. $220 for one suit. Absurd. I took in a very expensive dress to be altered. After three weeks, they told me they were so busy with prom season that it still wasnt ready. After more than a month, they clearly rushed, and did an awful job. I was not able to wear the dress to my sons graduation, and I have to pay someone else to fix the damage. Insanely high prices, and poor service.
