The place is very pretty and clean. Everyone is nice and professional. My esthetician was Christie and she did an amazing job. She explained everything she did and told me about my skin in great detail. I highly recommend!

Okay so I just got a couples massage.I love the atmosphere of this place .The service though was not up to par.First the lady ( don’t know the name was never introduced ) didn’t even have shoes on witch I find disturbing . Also held my neck in one place for a good ten minutes. Lastly we were only in there for forty minutes.. We paid for an hour! $60 ! I feel like it wasn’t worth it . The quality was about a 3/10 . The lady didn’t put any effort or force . She acted as if I was a damn spaghetti noddle . First time getting a massage . Will not be returning . Wish it was better truly .I came out not feeling any difference .

Firstly, Id like to say my complaint isnt with the establishment itself but with Codi who was supposed to do my hair. After more than a month of waiting for my appointment from this person I text to confirm my appointment only to be told that they canceled it. I had previously asked her to let me know if there were any earlier slots since it was a long wait but she thought me asking that meant I wanted to cancel my other appointment? Now stuff happens, I get that, but she ignored all my attempts to communicate and has basically ignored me. Someone who runs her own business cant just ignore customers when they mess up. Frankly this has been a disappointing and frustrating experience and I just cut my own hair since Ive been doing that ever since last april anyway. I will not be giving her anymore business.

I took my daughter here for a Spa Day birthday surprise. I coordinated ahead of time with the staff and they were wonderful.We arrived and were greeted outside with a friendly staff member who showed us where to fill out paperwork. Immediately went inside to be started on a morning of luxury. I can’t decide which treatment was best because they were all so fabulous also very clean which is important to me . My daughter was so happy with her morning and I can only thank the amazing staff at Essential Massage & Spa Of Brandon!

My husband & I were visiting Brandon area and both received massages. I had Jared as my therapist and my husband had Jessica. They were both amazing! It was funny cause my husband was like “ mine was so good” and I’m like, but you don’t understand, “mine was so good!” We we’re both in need of massages and we’re actually happy for each other that we both came out so relaxed! (sometimes you don’t get that lucky) Jared nailed each spot dead on and was very fluid with his technique. Most times, being that I have implants, I have to ask for a pillow or towel to make my comfort better but the massage table was so comfortable, I didn’t have to this time…which is key for me. Everyone was so polite from check in to check out :) I even bought a SUPERCUTE necklace at their boutique! Very impressed with this salon! Happy camper all around! Next time I’m back in that area, I’ll be booking another appointment!

They are knowledgeable, Professional and I honestly feel like a whole new person when I leave.Tonight, my husband and I had a couples massage, and Daniel was my deep tissue massage therapist. When he asked if there were any areas I’d like focused on, all I had to say was I was a hairstylist, and he knew EXACTLY the areas to work on. I believe that was the absolute best massage of my life. Thank you Daniel for working your magic! I’ll be back at the end of the month. 10/10 would absolutely recommend pampering yourself here. The prices are reasonable, it’s clean, comfortable, the staff is super upbeat, bubbly, helpful, and so pleasant. You walk into a very modern but elegant and relaxing and highly professional massage spa. It is ambient with dim lighting, soothing sounds and music and tastefully decorated.The therapist greet you professionally and drape you properly the entire time so you never feel exposed. They have added touched like heated tables you lay on and hot towels during the massage that feel so soothing and also help remove excess oil.The prices are unbelievable. Well below other establishments but there facility and service is just as good and most likely better than any place youve gone to.

Really great experience, this was my first message and everyone was very helpful and understanding and we were even able to get a couples message. The demeanor was nice and relaxing, my message table was even heated which was great. I had an amazing message at a very good price. I cant say enough great things about this place. I loved every minute of it and I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the massage and loved that afterwards we werent rushed out. They gave us a glass of wine and allowed us to sit in the relaxation room while we drank it and chilled for a bit before heading out.

Essentials Massage & Spa is my new go-to for relaxation! Setting up an appointment was very easy and their prices are unbelievably reasonable. I’m used to paying a lot more for subpar spa services at other places, so I’m definitely sticking with them. I have chronic neck/shoulder pain, so I scheduled a deep tissue appt today with Chris. He was attentive, professional and gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. I’ve already noticed a huge decrease in the daily pain that I usually have. I felt so welcomed by the receptionist as soon as I walked in; she was so cheerful and set the tone before my services were rendered. I will definitely be back again!

My husband had Tina and he says the pressure she applied was just enough for him to feel it and leave him completely relaxed. I recently visited this essential massage and spa in Brandon for my birthday to receive a micro dermabrasion. The location was clean and staff seemed to be polite. During my treatment I noticed the suction on the machine was poor and I asked the young lady attending to my skin will she be doing extractions and is this how the suction on the machine should be.Both answers with a yes but after my treatment I noticed nothing changed in my skin. Not the pores or blackheads. It was a light suction feeling followed by a facial.I was not satisfied with the work done so the next day I called to speak with a manager.They offered me a redo. I thought great !But when I got there and laid down on the table I was told by the next tech who was treating to my skin I was unable to redo the micro dermabrasion. When asked why? The young lady attending me stated she didn’t want to lose her license performing the same procedure twice…. But this is what I came back for 🤔…. I understood. She then said they could micro blade me and I will see the results I was looking for. I said why not! Let’s do it!(Nothing mentioned of financial increase was mentioned) And feeling confident everything was fine. I checked out.30min after I left I received a call asking for $ 20 more. I thought there was a misunderstanding because I was told this visit would be complementary since I paid originally for a treatment I did not receive properly.The receptionist stayed polite and had the owner give me a call.The owner stated what I did was an up charge and I have to pay the difference since I didn’t do the micro dermabrasion. I advised her the second young lady told me she was unable to do it and recommended something else.She didn’t mention any increase. I would have asked how much or came back when I was able to redo the procedure, not walk out after treatment without paying.The owner mentioned the young lady did tell me she advised you. This is where things took a turn. I stated again no she did not say anything in any way, shape or form about ANY up charge.The owner then says to me word for word“So what you are saying is she is a liar and I need to fire her” WOW! I was so shocked that came out her mouth since I NEVER used those words 😠.I stated “ I didn’t say she’s a liar and you need to fire her”. “ what I said was she never discussed any up charge with me and if you fire her then that is on you”…. No integrity! I would never go back. No wonder why staff is scared to tell the truth. The owner is nasty with no customer service skills.

Disappointed. The tech was very nice however her skills were lacking finesse. I left feeling as if I hadnt had a massage at all. Also there was no aromatherapy in the room, it felt like a Drs. exam room.

Been meaning to write this for awhile now. We LOVE this spa. I dont go for spa services often but Ive been here several times over the past few years and have enjoyed every visit. The ambiance is beautiful and instantly relaxing and the staff is always warm and courteous. This is THE spa in Brandon to go to. Great services and attention to detail but it doesnt break the bank. I’ve always gone to the Big Bend location as it’s more convenient for me, BUT, today I called for an appointment and understandably they were booked.. so I called this Brandon location and I am so happy for many reasons. They had an opening for me, they were so welcoming and professional, the space was huge and beautiful, AND my amazing masseuse Johanna allowed me to enjoy my massage in peace. I’m not sure why but any other time I’ve had a massage (EVERY TIME), my masseuse, no matter who it is, thinks I want to chop up a conversation the whole time.. thankfully I cannot say the same and I am so very relieved lol I’ve been loyal to the Big Bend location but I can officially say this Brandon location will be my new location. Thank you !

For someone who has never really dealt with acne but does so now bc of the mandatory use of masks that I have to wear at work for 8+ hours a day, a facial can do wonders. With the acne I have now I have become insecure to the point that even though wearing the mask is what is causing my acne, I’m thankful it is also able to cover it up from other people. Today I had my first “acne facial” with Lauren here at Essentials and she was excellent. She gave me tips to help for future breakouts and was very gently with all of the sensitive areas making sure I was ok during it all. I now know the person I will ask for for future appointments. Thank you for a wonderful experience and helping my skin on its journey back to “normal.”

My experience was AMAZING!! I came here tonight with my sister and due to Covid, things are a bit different but Kristen (not sure of spelling) at the front desk was very clear with instructions and super super nice. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely friendly and I felt so welcome. My massage therapist, Amy, was TOP NOTCH!! Very sweet lady and I’ll definitely be requesting her next time I go. I can’t believe I’ve lived so close to Essentials and have never been before tonight, I have nothing but good things to say!

I purchase a customized facial session for my skin. I had this stubborn acne spot in the corner of my chin that went into my jawline. The buildup was under my skin that would create acne spots around it and never surfaced on its own. I have had an issue with this for two months! Even tried a Curology.I have absolutely NO idea what my professional used, but omg! The next day the mass under my skin was smaller and by the third day it was completely gone! My skin has some scaring still but I can’t wait for my next facial.Why didn’t I do this sooner?! Thank you so much. I don’t know your name but I will be back!

Husband and I spent a good amount of money for facials and massages--complete waste. We both left with way more problems than what we arrived with. It is 3 days later and we are both still dealing with the issues and it was such a waste of money, very upsetting because we wanted a nice day to unwind after months of stress.Edit: months later my skin hasnt recovered from the awful facial, my skin is worse than it has been in years. I had no breakouts when I arrived and now I have tons and scars.

During the massage, i continuously heard a group of women outside of my door laughing and gossiping about any and everything. my friend was at the desk when i came out, I could see she was upset and talking to the receptionist about her visit. We were asked to wait in the pedicure room and once we were there we were the only two people in the room. She asked how my massage was and I told her about everything and she began to tell me about her dry rub ten minute back massage that mainly focused on her arms. It was cringing to hear.She said the receptionist was talking to their owner and the massage therapist. Supposedly they were handling it.I asked if she had heard loud talking and laughing outside of her room and come to find out, her room was closer to the heckling hens than mine was.The nail techs came into the room and immediately started the water I tried to brush off the feeling of regret that i had even walked into Essentials for my best friends birthday while i threw on a smile and turned my attention to my friend who was looking at the colors. The grumpy nail tech said those are gel, you want the regulars ones they have black caps and are on that other wall. Trying to revive the situation and bring life back to the room i asked my friend, OH nice! Are you going to do gel? and the other nail tech who my friend had quickly sucked her teeth and said, I dont have time for that I turned back to my friend astonished this whole situation was going to absolute mud and said, I was never asked what type of pedicure we were getting while booking the appointment. We had moved our appointments back for a massage from 8-9 to be able to have pedicures and work them in after the massages. We did what we could to work into the nail techs schedule better. It seems we were still unwanted and taking up their precious time.The pedicure water was luke warm.The bowls were stainless steel sinks that were paired with hard chairs that had small back pillows. No back massages even from chairs at Essentials. While they were painting with polish, they painted my friends nail beds and skin around her toes. It looked like my 9 year old painted her toenails. When She said something, which at this point she had said something due to everything else that had gone so poorly, the nail tech said, I can try to fix it but its just how your toes are. They are too small.At no point, ever, should someone comment on a size or shape of anything at a spa. You come here to relax and feel pampered, not degraded and made to feel bad about yourself.Thats never been an issue before at the million other pedicure salons we have been to before. I dont see why commenting on her nail beds has anything to do with your nail polish application. She attempted very poorly at cleaning her toes and my friend just wanted out of the chair at that point. She was made to feel bad about the toes she was born with all because a nail tech couldnt paint on a toenail properly.Once over to the desk my friend told her she wasnt happy with how her nail tech cleaned her nail polish she left all over her toes and asked about the massage therapist issue that had still not been resolved. As soon as she heard there was a problem that was ongoing the owner came over. My friend explained that she usually sees a massage therapist who was no longer there so she went with a recommendation on someone who was supposed to be a great deep tissue massage therapist replacement. She then said that with the turn oven she had no idea who to go with so she went with the name she was given. Kims body language immediately changed, she pursed her lips and her fingers became stiffened. She looked at my friend and replied, We do not go through therapists, we just have a lot of them. The manner Kim had delivered her statement was cutting and bitter. I was waiting for her finger to go directly into my friends face and start pointing. We have never met her before.The way we were treated by the owner, Kim, felt threatening and uninviting.We paid for everything, then we left. Never to return.

I go here every two weeks for a deep tissue massage and Jason is amazing! Very knowledgeable and explains why you may be more tense in certain areas and how he can fix it. Also, there is no contracts so you book as needed. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for 6 months or more but will not return after today.I have been getting powder gel nails and have been generally happy with the manicures but there has been an issue with the topcoat peeling after a very short time. The manicurists are aware there is a problem but they just can’t seem to find one that works. I’ve been patient and they have said to return if there is a problem and they would fix it.On my last visit I informed the manicurist that I would be leaving town right after my manicure so she said to just put more topcoat on the nails if that happened. The nails continued to peel and bubble up while I was away. When I returned from my trip I went back in for a redo. Upon checking out, they charged me full price! After explaining the situation, they would still only knock off $10.I refuse to return to a place that does not stand behind their product. There are lots of nail salons in the area that do stand behind their work.

We book couples massages every 2 weeks, this last time was so bad. The oil was cold, the touch for a relaxation massage was anything but. My husband got the deep tissue and it was so light and ineffective. The front desk apologized but no manager reached out, no compensation was offered. Really dissatisfied and disappointed because the place is really nice and our initial massage was amazing. They should really work on there follow up.

I received the best massage Ive ever had yesterday. The woman that gave me my massage, Ashley, did a phenomenal job. I will be going back more frequently and asking for her specifically. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a massage in this area of Florida.

We used to go to this spa for services (which is why I rated a 2 instead of a 1), but as of today we will never be going back.I booked my mom for a facial, and multiple beds were broken. While the specialist was very apologetic and said they were waiting on the beds to be fixed, the manager gaslit my mom by dismissing her complaint. She then offered to “book an appointment once the beds were fixed.”This is not the quality of service we came to expect of the facility; very disappointing.

The service here is great. They treat each customer very well. Ive only been here for the massages. Ic think Im going to try the facials next. But the massages are so good. They get all the knots out. You will actually walk away relaxed, until the routine of life takes a swing you. Theyll say you need to increase your water intake afterwards and they are right. It helped me feel so much better.

I was booked for a Spa Day as a birthday gift and was in tears from disappointment until I got to the nail tech Bessie. She was great and apologized for my dissatisfaction. It was not a spa day at all, and honestly dont understand why. Instead of trying to fix it, it was down played as if I was unreasonable to want what was paid for. I was all set for a day of luxury, sipping hot tea, in a fluffy robe and slippers. All I got was sitting in the lobby, covered in oil, with my clothes on, waiting for the next service. Got my facial done while wearing jeans. Got a pedicure...wearing jeans. Then for the young lady at the front desk to be like Yeah, I heard you didnt get a robe. in a condescending tone.. All I couldnt do was walk away. It was my birthday and I just wanted what was expected and paid for. I might as well have gotten a massage at the mall the walked over to the salon for a facial, then walked over to the nail salon, because that was my experience here...

My Raindrop massage, compliments of Danny, was one of THE best massages I ever received! Sister raved of her massages as well - I will return when I visit again!

All I wanted was a wash and blow out..And it took an hour and 15 minutes..First it didnt feeling like she used shampoo.. no lather no nothing.. Then whatever she put in my hair before she started blow drying it made my hair feel tacky. Then we started on the slow torcher of blow drying. When I thought we were done she wanted to use a hot iron.. I told her No.. I should have just done it myself.. This has to be the worst blow out for me . Ill never go back

Came essentials spa for a pedicure because divine designs didn’t have any appointments available and was thinking it would be a similar experience.... no. They do not have massage chairs, water was cold and was in a big sink basically(no bubbles), tech seemed annoyed the whole time, she did not give me a good massage. Isn’t that the point? I can paint my own nails... I come to a spa to get a pedicure so I can get a good massage and some pampering! That unfortunately did not happen for me here and was not cheap! 45$ plus tip. I don’t know how their other services are, but I would not recommend coming here for a pedicure.

I go here regularly for my massages. I have been to several different massage therapists, but I can say with certainty that CJ is the BEST masseuse! He is able to relax me, while also working out any knots and tension that I may have. If you go for a massage, ask for CJ!

I love this place. Relaxing and every therapist Ive had has been great! Staff is excellent and the ambiance is wonderful. Ive only done massages but they have any other spa services. Prices are very good.

As a teachers gift I received a $30 gift card to Essentials. With the help and recommendation of the lovely young lady at the front, I purchased a hair spray and wax for my husbands hair. The hair spray was excellent but product for my husbands hair was hard as a rock. Not thinking I would have any problem returning it the very next day, in the same bag with receipt and possibly exchanging it for another product, I was told it couldnt be returned as fingerprints were on the product. I asked to see the manager. Then I was told that was her decision and she wouldnt return it. So much for common courtesy!

First time ever getting a massage and it was an amazing experience overall. Didnt know my muscles were so tight until I got all the knots removed. Really thorough and it was an overall great experience. I will be going at least once a month.

Bought a couples massage, scheduled it four days ago. Replied to 3 text confirmations and a phone call in the following days to be called during our lunch prior to our appointment and have it be cancelled due to your employee was supposed to be off work. Their attempt as fixing it was two separate massages while the other waits in a detox room . Seriously, we purchased a couples massage for a reason ... I prepaid through groupon and we are leaving tomorrow. So much for the massage we were looking forward to after a long day at Busch Gardens... will be looking for somewhere else next time.
