Saw Melissa for color which only lasted a week. But attempted to contact her regarding color faded after 7 days. Could not get a call back and basically ignored. Then finally was texted back by Melissa who is the owner and the one who did my hair service telling me she had no openings and didnt respond to my previous messages because of personal life issues. She referred me to another hair dresser in the Salon and advised me the other hair dresser was aware I would be calling. Who not once ever attempted to contact me back. Customer service was deplorable and $85 for color that lasted 7 days. I gave a one because of the service, the way I was treated and ignored messages. I would never go back nor would I recommend.

Bamboo Salon and Spa offers a warm and welcoming environment. Melissa is friendly and attentive. The salon is very clean and I felt safe being there. Im thrilled with how my hair came out. I dont usually do much with it so any time Im about to change it I get anxious so it helps knowing that Im walking into a salon to get a good quality service.

I have been a loyal customer of Melissa’s for the last 5 years for my fashion color jobs . She’s absolutely the best: from advising what will and won’t work for my hair type to really taking the time to make sure that I leave the salon happy with our results. I have to say I’ve been to other places and left with something like what I asked for but damaged, breaking hair. Hair the texture of straw is not the endgame when anyone sees their stylist. The rest of the staff is friendly and a great environment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality hair color job. Also, I’ve gotten great product recommendations that have strengthened and helped nurture healthy hair.

Ok, so I hate to write such a bummer review, but Im so embarrassed by my hair that I dont even want to leave the house. Its that bad. Its taken me a few days to calm down enough to write the review, and the more I look at this mess, the worse it looks. In fact, its mucked up so bad that the only way to fix it is to cut it up to my chin. I had hair half way down my back before this, so its devastating to have to chop it all off. Why to my chin? Because theres a hole. Yup, a hole. A long chunk in the front by my face, super short in the middle, then longer again towards the back. To add insult to injury its uneven. There are chunky short spots all over one side of my head. It was supposed to be a long layered cut, but the shelving makes it look like I have a wig on top of my real hair. Every time I look in the mirror it makes me sad. Traded in my long beach waves that I could wash n go for a mess that makes me embarrassed to be seen
