This is an absolute terrible gym!! I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for over a year now. I’m told “we’ll take care of it” yet I’m charged every month. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s a total scam and they have no regard for people’s health. The reason I originally canceled was because I didn’t feel safe with covid. Now that I’m vaccinated and my children still can’t be vaccinated they still won’t cancel my membership! Go somewhere else, go where the people care about you and not just your money.

One of the best gyms I’ve been to in a while. One of the workers Jon was super kind and helpful. Great guy, great atmosphere, and great equipment. As a D1 athlete from the minnesota gophers with extremely high standards, I Would 10/10 recommend this gym

I work a pretty typical schedule, as most people do (7am-5pm) & have found it absolutely impossible to set up a membership here. Every time I go in to try to set up a membership, someone who is able to do it is literally never there. The people at the front desk are of no help either. I’m pretty much saying “here, take my money” & to no avail. The only way for me to work out here is by paying $12 EVERY time I go, compared to just setting up a membership. Pretty ridiculous. I know I’m not the only one.If you are able to get a membership set up here, it’s a great place. Incredible facilities & machines, and they are always upgrading. However, they should definitely have more people on staff to handle memberships for people who actually work typical hours.

Would highly recommend the Ridge! They are always welcoming at the Ridge Kids when we bring our son, he LOVES going to the playground when we work out, hes participated in their soccer and swim lessons and absolutely loved every second of it.Weve been members since moving back here in 2016. The gym has plenty of space to workout, and even during busy hours theres always an option to get in a good workout. The staff is typically helpful and they keep their facilities clean. We love the new expansions they have provided in the last year and the price point is unbeatable for the type of quality in gym equipment you receive.Whenever I have had any sort of issue a phone call or visit with the front desk has resolved it almost immediately. Couldnt imagine calling any other gym home.

Good gym with lots of options but recently I’ve been concerned about the lack of mask wearing when members aren’t working out.I’ve noticed so many socializing and walking around without masks this past month. Our gym memberships are expensive and I’d expect more enforcement of mask wearing to keep members safe.

A shameful scheme. Hidden contracts, seriously awful under the table business practices, and poor customer service. I dropped in at the downtown gym for a few random workouts and was not informed of any contract. When we were informed that we had been looped into a 12 month contract last March we were told that we had no other option other than freezing the account, which still required a monthly fee of 15 dollars, which we did. Subsequently the account auto enrolled us at 75 dollars a month for the last year. We have not stepped into your gym in 15 months and have paid 945 dollars for absolute no service of any kind. Very shameful for a local business to take advantage of individuals within our community like this. I am physician and I will be actively persuading my patients to avoid this establishment. There are now great alternatives here in the community.

Dont sign up for this gym. If you find something that is unsatisfactory and want to cancel they are so obsessed with their membership commitment rule they will never honor any circumstance. This is a huge gym with plenty of members. They could easily be doing every bit as well if they were not thst strict. Not to mention, we called to talk to them about our issue saying we wanted to cancel and they said they would have someone get back to us. That never happened so when we saw we were charged again we had to be the ones to follow up. I guess the customer is never right at this business.

I am very unhappy with our experience with the Ridge. Beware of the contract period! We were members in 2014 and enjoyed utilizing the gym after knowingly committing to an initiation fee and contract term. Once our contract was up our situation had changed and we cancelled. Reinitiating our membership was the biggest MISTAKE. No mention of a new contract. They signed us back up without going through any of the small print. Not able to cancel, they shadily advised us to place our membership on hold (with a fee) to avoid paying a hefty cancellation fee. We were subsequently charged for an entire year of full monthly fees without setting foot in their facilities after multiple discussions with the membership department about our desire to cancel. Dont let the fancy appearance of the gym cloud their shady business practices. Consumer beware. I would expect something like this from a national corporate business but not a local Bozeman business.

Love love love the Ridge. It is, by far, the best Gym I have ever been a member of. I really think the only thing it is lacking is Hot Yoga. Other than that, it has everything, a stellar staff and awesome instructors, what looks like a truly amazing kids zone, wonderful classes, a clean and inviting environment, a pool, sauna, tons of high end equipment, and so much more. Even when it is busy, there is still plenty of room for everyone.

This is the 1st gym (other than rock climbing gyms) that Ive been a member of. Honestly, theyre no more expensive than other gyms around, depending on what you want it for. I wanted to go to classes and I can only do that in the morning. If I just make it twice a week, thats about $10 per class. Not bad! All the instructors are fantastic, staff are super friendly, and the facilities are super clean.

I love coming here for so many reasons. However, athletic clubs are a highly personal thing - I would strongly reccomend test driving before locking into a contracted membership.Having been recently remodeled, the club has a much more welcoming feel. The schedules of classes available are generous and varied. My boys love swimming here, especially in the winter. I especially love the family changing rooms - they make all the difference. The gym equipment is always very clean, and while the place is never really deserted, I rarely have to wait very long for the machine I want or a space to stretch.Overall, a lovely facility.

Great staff, family friendly, and super helpful. Im not sure what the other reviewers were complaining about with the locks, as they offer both locks or you can bring your own lock for the day. They are also one of the few places in town that have Racquetball and basketball courts as well as Circuit training and a pool. Not to mention on-site child care. Every time Ive approached a staff member about something that might not be not up to par, they have usually resolved it within a reasonable amount of time.

My husband and I joined a year ago and have enjoyed our membership so far. The slightly ritzy environment and overwhelming workout options were intimidating at first, but now I that I am aquainted with the place, I feel quite comfortable there. We often come during the middle of the day or weekend evenings, and are able to avoid the bigger crowds. Ive run into a handful of fitness snobs, and one rude/pointless employee, but most people are kind and just trying to get exercise and have some fun. The membership fee is on the higher end, but its a higher end facility. I love everything they have to offer and plan on adding our teenage kids to our membership this spring.

My family and I really like being members of this place. Weve only been members for a few months, but the staff has been very welcoming. The environment is family friendly, and most of the members are too (which is rare). The price is a little steep for the Gallatin Valley I think, but its hard to put a price on a clean pool for young kids in a town that so ski-centric (were not skiers). Also, the trainers are great. Not condescending or ridiculous. They really helped us out in setting up manageable and attainable fitness plans that were based on our goals.

Twice as expensive as every other gym in town, fees and policies that they dont verbally disclose when you sign up. Then when you go to cancel, they smuggly point out the fine print on the membership policy and inform you, you will have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to cancel, or you can find some other sucker and pass along the hassle of membership to them for a small fee of 75.00! Want to use your credit card to pay membership because you earn points using it? They got a fee for that! Credit card canceled due to identity theft and they try to charge it? They got a fee for that! Want to use just the downtown facility to save money? No problem, they will charge you $10 less than if you were to use both facilities, then with the $5 credit card processing fee youre paying just $5 less than if you had access to both gyms! This gym acts like every other large corporation and bank in America, sucking the money out of honest hard working peoples pockets simply cause they create the legal environment so they can, nevermind whether it is right. I am going to happily go back to my old gym when my membership expires next month! There I will pay half the price, with no ridiculous initiation fees, no credit card processing fees, and NO HASSLE! Why people go here is beyond me, I can only assume it is a status thing...

Ive been a member for many years and it has been getting so crowded. As the club ads more members they hardly ad more classes or extended business hours. The 1 star negative reviews of this gym are the most accurate. I settled up my bill and thought I was all set then I get another bill from them and so I call explaining I havent been in for 3 months and I wont be paying the bill ($50). They send me another email stating I need to clear my balance before they can cancel.. what?!! I cancelled a month ago like you told me to and settled out my bill and you never responded back to me! I will NEVER be going back to this gym. This is a joke and this business is going to fail if they dont start working on their customer service. So upset.

I paid for a year in advance membership for my disabled son. When his doctor put him on a med that increased his risk of heart attack and ordered him to stop going to the gym, they would not refund or pause his membership until his meds stabilzed (took 10 months). We are currently members here. The staff is extremely friendly. They have everything you could desire if you just want your basic fitness needs met!As far as the patrons go, this isnt a hardcore classic gym. It is basically an LA Fitness with a better weight room. The crowd is definitely one of those I just want to be lean and toned kind of crowds. The weight room has come a long way since the early 2000s. I think the owner and management are gradually modernizing the weight area. They are definitely headed in the right direction but they are not there yet.If you are into power lifting or strongman you will have some needs met but it wont be ideal. They do not allow chalk. The bumper plate selection is limited (only two sets of 45s). They have one great squat rack and two average ones. The two shock absorbing platforms are wonderful for deadlift...but there are only two. Worst feature of their weight room is the hex plates. These plates do not stack well on the bar. They can spin and slightly move the bar away from you when you deadlift. The risk can be mitigated if you slow down your lift and reset every rep. In addition you can mix bumpers with 35lb hex plates that do not touch the ground, but it is still not ideal. Slight movement is still inevitable. They have some round 100lb plates on the leg press but they are very wide and take up a lot of space on the bar. There is no strongman equipment here. Sled and prowlers might be located away from the weight room but they are reserved for the crossfiteers. Dont even ask about logs or atlas stones they will look at you like an alien. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a glute/ham machine. I was saddened when I realized most the patrons use the glute/ham for ab exercises but at least they have one!If you are a bodybuilder they have plenty of free motion machines and free weights. However in that area, the dumbbells dont go beyond 120lbs. Also the hoist machines are not great at all. The hoist equipment has an odd weight chart that coincides with very random weight conversions in lbs. The hoist leg press has an extra large platform and is at an extra exaggerated angle. If you are used to heel only pressing it wont work well on this. Your range of motion will be limited. They have an alternative leg press that is completely flat but it isnt the best.If you are a crossfiteer, I am not a good source. That area is exclusively reserved for the tribe. So you will want to talk to a tribe member. They have ropes up stairs. If you are an endurance athlete the cardio equipment is great. They have a vast selection. There are multiple treadmills, stair steppers, row machines, bikes, they even have an arm bike! It is apparent that they have invested heavily in that area of the gym. If you prefer a traditional track hang tight! They are building one. The pool is shorter than standard short course length. I estimate it is 19.5 yards in length or shorter? All I know is it is not the standard 25 yards in length.Overall, I still think this is one of the better gyms in Bozeman. Like I mentioned earlier, they have come a long way. Locally I have not found another gym that can compete with them on every level. Nationally they are still behind a lot of places you can find in most American cities.
