Great gym, thought it was much smaller at first but it just keeps going. Lots of aerobic machines, strength equipment, squat racks and a big group fitness room.Towels and locks provided. Very reasonable day pass. Good if you are flying later that day.
Good place to work out. Love the new location personally. Is crowded, but thats every gym
New location is a little better than the old one. The outside looks really nice. It’s kind of hard to find things because there is a lot of equipment tucked in smaller areas. There are no mirrors on the gym floor, which makes it hard to check correct form. Staff was friendly and inviting. Locker rooms were nice and clean, however the equipment and gym floor were pretty dusty.
Thanks for the help! Excited for the new.gym. classes here are great and the management really will help you with any problem.
They are in the process of moving to their new location. So, things are not quite up to par.As I understand things will be great 👍 at the new location.Steve
They are moving next week to on 7th street. Old place is ok but I know the new place will be so much better. They are a great place to workout and be yourself. Thanks Access Gym.
Be nice if I didn’t have to wait in line for a machine or bench.
Fairly dirty and equipment is old, only redeeming quality is the price
They have temporarily shut down and relocating. Wish I knew this before I bought a 3 month membership…
Trained here for 4 years. The place is dirty, machines are always broken, and the staff is meh at best. Mirrors are always broken and cracked. Owner never replaces anything in a timely manner. Also I moved cities and they required me to come in in person to in do my membership which is incredibly inconvenient when you live 3 hours away. Overall, I would just recommend the Ridge, Fuel, Prime or the Cove if you’re looking for gyms in Bozeman.
Decently clean. Some of the machines stink from lots of use but over all nice place to workout
Meets a good minimum as far as gym equipment goes. The establishment itself is great but the people not so much. The covid response has been terrifying. While irresponsible to let the patrons not use masks, I get it. But seeing what Im pretty sure was management walking around with their mask pulled below their nose is just unbelievable. No wonder cases are surging here, this is a perfect example of irresponsibility that is causing it.Also, out of the many gyms Ive visited in major metro areas this is the first where chicken legged body builders are completely excused in carrying around their duffle bags, setting up camps at multiple machines at a time, loudly grunting, and dropping weights haphazardly. I recommend the early morning or middle of the night. Best time to avoid the people and maybe even the covid!
Great Hammer Strength equipment and very friendly desk staff, but the place has been filthy it seems for the last few months, and something is always broken. Additionally, there was an incredibly uncomfortable incident this morning in which a class instructor felt that our class had gone over time, and rather than sorting it with the other teacher professionally, just walked in multiple times to setup and lead her class in on top of ours, during our last 2 minutes of the circuit. It showed a sincere lack of respect for the clients and teacher. It seems like there needs to be an actual manager who not only schedules gym maintenance, but also coordinates better between teachers and encourages respect. I know a large chunk of members that only came to this gym because Sarah Dennis is a beast (in the most phenomenal way) but shes also very kind and respectful, and clients should feel that from all instructors that are affiliated in any way with the gym. We want to feel valued and welcome, no matter how cheap or expensive the membership.
They have all the free weights you need and have friendly staff that dont take themselves to seriously
Great workout gym and great staff. Highly recommended!!!
Broken tiles in the men’s shower are a hazard. The water from the shower sits underneath the tile. I imagine if the tile was pulled up there be a winning science project under there. When you step on the tile you can feel the water come up from underneath the tile.
Im really happy its back to 24/7 but they should really limit how many people should actually be in there at any given time.Access has also started repairing its equipment (cable machines). Also wish they would allow its Patrons to change the channel on the TVs
I have attempted to cancel my membership over a dozen times with this location and they fail to do so every time. No one is ever at the front desk, and when you call they tell you to come in to speak with the manager. Yet, once again, there is never a manager or a desk attendant to speak to. I have paid 4 months of membership due to their lack of attending their customers wants & concerns.
Decent gym, could use some updating though.
Great place. I love working out here. They give great discounts to MSU students. And they offer month to month no contract, just a notice 30 before you want to cancel. The cardio section is great. Their weight lifting machine is just like MSU’s gym. 24/7/365. Also, they offer protein shakes at a reasonable price.
This is a great gym. I do most my training at night and they have everything I need, even a sauna. It is kept pretty clean and everyone I have met there is nice. Very affordable as well.
Good equipment selection, clean, good staff.
Ratio of broken machines to functioning is now about equal, if not greater, and they stay broken FOREVER. Now zero working stair climbers, 2 have been broken for about 9 months to a year. Bathrooms never cleaned, maybe once a week? Shower floor in one stall about to cave in. Staff is young and does literally nothing but talk and play around, but whatever, I guess no one needs them to do anything anyway? They arent cleaning, washing towels, or fixing machines. There are almost never any towels if you go later in the day, which I know isnt a guarantee, but still. Have been a member for 5 years and this place has gone way downhill, may be time to pay the extra bucks for one of the nicer gyms who use their dues on upkeep and cleaning, I guess you get what you pay for. Pros are good weights and the 24 hour access. Was a good place to come in and do a work out in peace, but now cant really do that due to lack of functioning equipment.
Love this place. I always have room to workout and with so many machines and benches, I never have to wait. Lost 65 pounds and counting.
Loved the gym. Great staff. By when I moved out of state in October I called to cancel my membership and they said I couldn’t cancel unless I was in person. I canceled my card just to stop payments. Now I am “being sent to collections” because I am unwilling to drive 18 hours to go cancel my membership. I now owe hundreds of dollars to a gym I haven’t been to in 8 months.
You get what you pay for. Nearly every other machine is broken. I asked three employees if they could fix the scale in the men’s room - or buy a new one. One guy looked at me like he never heard words before, one shrugged me off and then a lady said she’d talk to somebody about looking into it.The place isn’t always clean, which isn’t necessarily the staff’s fault. The clientele leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of strutting and grunting d-bags talking on cell phones while others try to exercise. I walked in on a guy Skyping with his bro while in the locker room. Not my favorite gym. If they enforced their policies of ending memberships for dropping weights or not returning equipment, I would rate it higher.
The gym itself is great. Good equip and lots of room. Their bathroom however stinks real bad and it’s makes it’s way into the workout areas. They need to fix their plumbing, the stink traps arent functioning and every time I complain they pretend not to notice. I’m having to switch gyms because I work out before work and need a place to shower and I just can’t handle it anymore. 🤮
Lots of strong equipment. Open 24 hr. Friendly community. Extracurricular activities like yoga, kids corner, tanning, massage, protein bar, drinks and snacks. Affordable memberships.
24/7 decent prices. Need to fix their stair steppers not just unplug them or slap a sign on them that indicates their broken. Also need a new door card reader. But lots of equipment, good for what it is and I wouldnt switch.
Staff is excellent, great variety of classes and schedules, good amount and variety of equipment/space/weights, good childcare and pricing, and all the amenities I need from a gym. Nothing pretentious that has nothing to do with working out and drives up the cost.
The dirtiest gym Ive ever been to. All college kids work there and none of them want to clean the place. The front door uses technology from the 80s, to gain entrance and it doesnt work 1-2 times a week
No one is ever at the front desk. Anyone could walk in the place you dont even need a membership. It took me a week to catch an employee to sign up and now i want to cancel and still no one at the desk. Not a fan
I needed a cheap place to get back in shape for ski season and this is where I ended up. The owner often works at night and is very friendly. The equipment is in good shape and the locker rooms are clean! If you are looking for a low key place to work out, that isnt a fashion show like some other places in town, this is a great choice!
They are doing great work to keep it clean at all times during Covid! Every member must wipe down equipment after using it.
I use this facility for the hours and location. but i really REALLY wish they had a cleaning staff..it stinks and is very dirty. you can’t rely on gym users to clean up after themselves it just doesn’t work for such a large and popular gym. staff is either on their phone or talking to friends and honestly i wouldn’t care at all if the place wasn’t always so gross...still a business that needs to be clean for customers..
Used to be Golds... honestly it feels the same! Great staff and plenty of equipment at a great price. Amen.
24/7 access to the gym is a big positive about this place. Plenty of workout equipment and amazing classes with the best instructors.
Great selection of exercise apparatus. Clean and neat. Class times are not convenient. Environment can be too hot.
Really helpful folks we were traveling and ask if we can put it in the showers they were very welcoming and offered showers for a small price. Of 0$ :)
The gym is super clean and the staff is so friendly! Especially the gorgeous girl at the counter, Mckenna, she makes the best protein shakes and pre-workout mixes.
They have really updated and improved this gym since I moved to Bozeman 4 years ago. Love attending this gym and absolutely worth every penny with the convenient hours and the group classes !
I like the gym, great people. Could use a bit more upkeep, but it is a nice place to work out!
Great place to exercise.. felt welcome from beginning..
Do not EVER sign up for a membership with Access Fitness and give them your account information. I have not been there since 2014, and have been trying to close my membership with them from out of town for YEARS and they are still taking money from my account.Obviously, now I know not to give my account information to anyone. However, this was my first time signing up for a membership with any gym and they made it seem like that was the best payment option. When I first began trying to cancel my membership they told me I could take no action unless I was there in person. When I came to Bozeman and went into their location, I was told they had already canceled my membership. When I showed them bank statements that verified they were continually taking money from my account each month, they said it was not them, and I had to call ABC Financial. This is still an unresolved issue. I cannot believe the people that own this business are so remarkably unhelpful.
Dirty machines and bad customer service from the manager Jenn (Henry was cool though). They dont care emptying you bank account and give you poor customer service. Its definitely a no go.
Horrible gym. Smells bad. Equipment is broken and stays broken. Staff seems like they were hired to socialize and never clean. I can leave a sock on the floor in the locker room and it will be there 3 days later. Pros: cheap. Update: still a horrible gym. Bathroom smells like a sewer, cardio equipment is broken for weeks on end, staff is apparently hired to gossip with their friends as they certainly dont maintain the place.
Husband tried this out and likes it much better than hot springs. Its clean, staff and patrons and friendly. No judgement zone for sure.
1/2 machines are not kept up, out of order signs for months. They do not respond to e-mails. Miss when the gym was ran by golds, they responded and cared about our community and customer service.
This gym is perfect for anyone that lifts, the machines are nice and theres plenty of room for everyone here
Friendly and helpful staff. A wide variety of well maintained equipment.
Good pricing and the people working there are nice enough. Could be cleaner though and the air can get pretty stuffy.
Good gym. Everyones nice and theres plenty of room.
This was my first time going to any gym in 20 years and the people there are great and ex streamly friendly ill give them 10 stars if i could i just wanted to ad thanks for setting every thing up with reach
I love going to the gym after hours . Many machines to choose from 👍
Simple with a lot of machines. Has all one needs for a gym.
Nice and quiet. Not too busy and no waiting for a machine.
Awesome place, but needs a cleaning
Great gym. Plenty of machines!
Well, that lasted about a month. The last time I used Access, I had to brush dirt off the floor before push-ups, avoid breaking a leg on a broken treadmill, and step around patches of mold in the showers. Ive since switched to a different club, pay a little more, but enjoy much nicer facilities. Access is still an okay place for the price.Ill miss all the friends I made there, though...- Second Edit Follows -Access obviously listens to their clients. Since I posted the edit (below), every single point I raised has been dealt with. Back up to four stars for now. If they keep this up for a few months, the rating will have to bump back up to five stars.- First Edit Follows -Things have started to go downhill since my initial review. New employees do not take the effort to remember my name, much less recognize me when I come in the door. In fact, there are occasions when they wander in more than an hour past the posted staffed hours.Cleaning, which used to be immaculate in the days of Golds Gym, has gone by the wayside. Its not bad, but could be much better.Equipment breaks down, thats a fact of every gym. But, what used to take a day or two to fix now takes months.Access is still the best place in town for my training. Its the only place that allows me to do what I do and provides the equipment to do so. Therefore, I will continue to pay for their services. But, if another place comes to town, I might just have to throw in the towel at Access.- Original Review Follows -I am one of those loud grunting men that the other reviewer complained about. Access is one of the few places in town that doesnt discriminate toward varying workout cultures. Its truly judgement free zone. Ill patiently wait my turn while you do your cross fit pull-ups in the power rack. Once youre done, Ill chalk up (they dont mind) and do my quarter ton rack pulls. If you dont like my style, you can go somewhere else. But, I dont mind if youre here; more power to you. No matter what youre doing, its probably better than sitting at home on the couch.Oh, and about the employees? Every single one of them knows me by name and greets me as I enter and leave.
Fantastic gym, the staff is very friendly and the equipment was spot on for what I was looking for. I would highly recommend this gym if youre in Bozeman.
Great place to work out and get your swoll on.......
Always clean, not so busy, and the staff are great. Let’s you get your grind on.
Great location and super fun staff!
Anytime, good workout. Showers could be hotter though.
Monthly fee is great. Not much variety on classes.
Awesome gym which is powerlifter friendly.
This is the best athletic club around
Great gym, very clean, Love the staff
Decent gym
Awesome Sauce!!! Great place!!!
Super
Ive never had to wait long for equipment and everything seems to be in fine shape. Rather busy in the evenings.
I love the classes
Its got everything I need. Plus 24th hour access.
Big and spacious.
When do we get the quality equipment that is in the Missoula gym?
If you dont have access to the MSU gym this place is great
This place works well for my schedule so i can get my sweat on at two in the morning.
Do Not go here. This gym is dirty and equipment is old and often broken. They also trying to scam me into paying an extra month by saying that they dont have my cancellation paperwork.
Best gym in town, for the price
Great gym and convenient hours
Nice place
Good
