Do not rent from here! The truck was full of stale food, there were cigarette burns in the seats and worst of all the truck didn’t work! The truck I was given would only go 45 miles an hour unloaded! How is it supposed to go through the mountains fully loaded? Customer service with corporate had to get involved but did not promise a full refund for a truck I drove from 15 miles and returned after 1 hour! Spend the extra bit for Penske. This was a nightmare and destroyed our move. I asked for a new truck and was told I’d have to wait 5 or 6 hours until roadside came to check out the truck first but they did not care it was filthy. Never again will I use budget.

Terrible company. Filthy truck. Windshield wipers didn’t work and we got caught in a storm. No one answers the phone. Made us go on a wild goose chase to get the moving blankets we already paid for, then they didn’t have enough, and now it’s been an even longer process to get a refund. I’d give negative stars if I could.

No one answers the phone for days when needing to drop off vehicle keys since they taped the drop off box closed. This company from start to finish is horrible.

Dont. Just dont. I know what youre thinking. Its cheaper than U-Haul. Unless you have copious amount of spare time to waste on your moving day and love to be frustrated, DONT EVEN TRY. We got there on our moving day and waited 15 minutes for someone to show up. Then, they didnt even have a truck (we made an online reservation for it). Guy at the counter could not care less. Ended up going to U-Haul.

DO NOT USE BUDGET!!!You would think simply making sure lug nuts are properly attached is something they would check but it isnt. We sheered 7 of 8 bolts holding the back tire on at 55mph and nearly died. The terrible people at their customer service reluctantly offered a $250 refund ~ 10% of my purchase even though they nearly killed us.If you want a company that cares for the safety of its customers please do not use budget.

This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I rented a 12 foot truck to move many boxes, arrived on time to pick it up, and they didnt have a truck for me. They hadnt called to let me know there was a problem. I had 5 people waiting to help me with loading and another group at the other end of the trip to help unload. The Budget person said maybe well have a truck tomorrow. Customer service was also no help. I managed to quickly rent a Uhaul truck on Broadway in north Boulder I recommend you avoid this place at all costs and go to Uhaul.

Budget provided me a confirmation number, charged me, but when I arrived to pick up the truck, I was rudely told it didnt exist, and to call customer service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!They do not care that they screwed you.

Cannot say enough bad things about this company and this location. The guy (Matt? Dont know if thats his real name) is INCREDIBLE rude and back talked us from the get go. I should have known better with the reviews. We showed up at 7 am to pick up our truck. It took 50 minutes for him to actually get us to our truck. I paid with my card while someone else was going to be driving it. Keep in mind I wont even be sitting in the drivers seat. He charged us 30 for an additional driver beciase I used my card. He couldnt add an additional driver so he had to completely redo the reservation. He couldnt get us the original price so I was charged for it and he said he would return the additional amount. Yeah right. He also completely misquoted the insurance price and of course, it wasnt his fault and I had to pay for it.We got home and the truck doesnt go over 55, the AC doesnt work and the check engine light came on. Brought it back and he said we have to go fill up the gas because we drove over 50 miles. Our house is only 15 miles away so that makes 30 miles, not 50.We paid for movers to meet us at the house for 100 an hour. With all this it wasted 2.5 hours. Wasted $250. They wouldnt give us a discount on the next truck so I completely cancel the reservation and went to Penske. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Theyre a complete scam and the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

I reserved a truck for 7/23 to pick up at noon at your Boulder location. Upon my arrival, I noticed the location was not the most appealing location. I honestly did not have a good vibe and I should have went with my gut. I went ahead and entered the facility. The gentleman at the desk did not greet me nor advised me that he would be with me shortly. After what seemed like a half an hour, I was assisted. The sales rep basically bullied me into the insurance and after advising him that Uhaul was cheaper with insurance at $117, he told me well you have to do whats best for you then so do you want the truck or not? After driving from Broomfield to Boulder, I decided to continue with the purchase. He told me to meet him out front. I went to the front the store and met with another employee (he was in regular clothing). He said he would be inspecting the vehicle. I attempted to assist him as there were very large dents and the man told me, excuse but I am a professional at identifying scratches so just be patient and I will find them all. Seriously rude. At no point did he open the back of the truck. After signing the paperwork, I drove the truck to my home in Broomfield. The truck sat for 15-20 minutes until my husband could arrive and open the back (I couldnt get it open). Upon opening the truck, a group of cockroaches scattered across the floor. My husband and I immediately contacted customer service as we had realized that it was just 2pm and the store location had closed. The customer service rep told us to drive the truck back to Boulder and leave the key in the drop box and they would rectify the situation once they received possession of the vehicle & when the store opened. At 7am when the store open, we began calling the store. No one would answer. We then called customer service again and they advised us there was nothing they could do until the store closed out the order. We asked them to call the store to which they received no answer. At 8 we decided to drive to the store. When we went to the store the man at the desk told us no, no, no, I cant close out the order. He didnt apologize for the roaches nor the service and said he couldnt do anything. He was very rude and did not seem to care. We advised him that customer service advised us to bring it back the previous night and he said they are customer service, they lie and tell you what you want to hear but I know what I can and cant do & I can not help you. We then called customer service in the background. The rep wanted to talk to the man and he refuse initially but when his phone rang, he said hold on and gave me my phone back. After an hour and half of being on the phone and sitting in the store, the rep said they would call their Aurora location to close the claim since the Boulder employee wasnt any help. At this point, his manager finally called and he cancelled the order. Let me also mentioned that this man refused to give us the managers name, number, or any contact information. After walking behind the counter, I saw two cards for the two territory managers and he tried to chase me. Oh and at one point he asked me if I put gas in the truck. Seriously, why would I put gas in a truck I wasnt able to use do to it being infested? I have NEVER in my life had worse customer service and I would never recommend nor use AVIS/BUDGET again in my life. I have for car rentals but I refused. Not only was I not able to move Sunday, I had to request an additional vacation day Monday to get it done but I will NEVER get back the 8 hours and unpleasant experience back. Sorry just doesnt cut it. I am sure there are laws against business having infestation problems and I am prepared to file a bad review, complaint, with any channel appropriate. Oh and not the mention that they still charged my card when the receipts clearly says it will not charge the card until the truck rental is complete.

I had a truly awful experience here. Someone incorrectly filled out the paperwork for the truck I was given, and I was charged for my truck and someone elses truck (more than $1,000), which emptied out my bank account and prompted me to pay overdraw charges. The staff at this location as well as the national phone line were unapologetic and unhelpful in getting my money back. What should have been resolved in a simple phone call dragged on for two weeks in a series of frustrating phone calls. Nothing got resolved until my bank finally intervened with a fraudulant charge claim. Also, the whole building smells like marijuana since it is next door to a dispensary. It would have been comical had things not ended so poorly.

Whatever the process is for completing a reservation and getting on the road is severely broken. If you have to show up an hour and a half early and wait in line to get your reserved truck while it takes upwards of 30 min per customer to process their reserves is outrageous. I do not understand how they stay in business.

The employees are extremely rude, or sound confused like they dont know how to do their job. I was talked down to as well as hung up on by these jerk offs. Only reason I am still using them is because every other truck rental company in the area is booked and I dont have a choice. Please, if you have the choice, go elsewhere.

Didnt have the big truck I reserved. Tried to talk me into taking one of the smaller trucks or coming back in several hours. I get the feeling this situation was pretty common for them... Using this location is risking a huge headache on moving day.
