Overall, a good experience every time Ive rented equipment here, including trucks and vans. Reasonable prices, especially for van rental. Dont go to U-Haul where they charge you ridiculous fees for mileage.

DO NOT LET HOME DEPOT HAVE DELTA MECHANICAL INSTALL YOUR HOT WATER HEATER. Our experience with the hot water installation service through Home Depot/Delta Mechanical has been a COMPLETE AND UTTER NIGHTMARE.Almost a month ago, we went through HD to have a new hot water heater installed in a rental property that we own. Delta Mechanical was extremely quick--if not overly pushy--in contacting us and scheduling an appointment. They called at hours entirely too early to be appropriate. When they did come out to install our hot water heater, they were extremely late. But the worst part about the experience is that THEY FLOODED OUR BASEMENT. The contractor who was installing stepped outside to smoke a cigarette while he was waiting for the newly installed hot water heater to fill and came back inside to find hed been gone too long. The hot water heater was overly full, and the basement was flooding. High pressure water was gushing everywhere. We were unable to be present for the entire install due to work (and the fact that wed already spent over 2 hours waiting for them to show up in the morning), but my husband returned to the house to be there when the contractor finished up.When my husband arrived at the house, HE FOUND THE CONTRACTOR USING OUR TENANTS PROPERTY TO MOP UP THE MESS. It was evident that the contractor was frantically trying to cover up what had happened (as if a bath towel could mop up that amount of water!) We had standing water an inch deep in our basement. It ran through our drywall. It flooded the hot water heater (which ruins them), and he ruined our tenants property (towels and numerous items that were on the floor of the flooded basement). When the contractor finally left, he didnt even light the pilot in the hot water heater or turn the water back on, leaving our tenants without hot water. It took us numerous calls before we were able to get anyone from Delta Mechanical to come out and clean up the water in our basement later that same day. Then, Deltas regional manager was completely unresponsive as we attempted to get in touch with him to talk about resolving the remaining damages. We had his national office calling him and he absolutely refused to even talk with us. It was nothing short of a miracle that we were able to have Delta Mechanical come back out the next day to replace the water heater that they had ruined. And the contractor they sent was extremely unprofessional. He was rude. He attempted to leave before the job was done. He told us this wasnt his problem. Ridiculous. We had to completely monitor him to ensure the work was done. Now, nearly a month later, were still trying to work out the details of this issue. Water on drywalls ruins drywall. Our tenants personal property was ruined. YET neither Home Depot nor their insurance processing center, Sedgwick, will do anything about the situation. Delta Mechanical has denied our insurance claim. And Sedgwick says that unless we can concretely prove that the flooding and damage was a result of Delta/HDs negligence, they wont do anything!? We took plenty of pictures of the damages, but none of them illustrate the depth of the water or the level of damage. Theres nothing in the photos that shows Delta Mechanicals handy work (logos etc.). And as a result, our evidence isnt considered substantial enough. This has been a nightmare. My husband and I have had to spend countless hours calling and dealing with this--which cuts into our work. Its total insanity that weve had to spend as much time dealing with this as we have. Furthermore, this situation has impacted our tenants. Its disheartening that no one will be accountable for the mess they made. Were not asking for anything other than for them to complete the job we paid them to do. Had they done their jobs properly to begin with, none of us would be in this situation. And now were simply asking for them to return our home to the condition it was in before we ever made the mistake of soliciting their services. What a nightmare. Never again.
