Star Nails is my absolute favorite nail place! It is right on baseline and is an amazing price for the quality of service! I go in and they do any nail design I request for an amazing price! I definitely recommend this nail spot near campus!

I have been coming here for 3 years now and I can say that this salon has the best prices and people in all of Boulder. Helen and Lee are fantastic for all types of manicures and pedicures. The work here is very clean and thorough and they can basically make any of your nail design dreams come true.

Extremely rude. Asked what we want and misunderstood, thinking we wanted a pedicure and manicure and said they could do it, then we clarified we wanted dip removal and polish change and they said the “didn’t have time right now”. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Do NOT waste your time coming here.

Don is seriously the BEST in Boulder. He did a beautiful set of ombré acrylics with one nail painted like marble. He was easy to chat with and very professional. Love this place.

My first time there and IT WAS THE BEST PEDICURE I’VE EVER HAD! Thanks to COVID I had the entire place to myself, but I called ahead for appointment just in case. They were friendly, it’s very clean and relaxing. The prices were very good, the services and color selections were huge! I highly recommend

I went here to get my acrylic nails filled last week and although a fill appeared on their sign as 25 I was charged 47. I understand a 10 dollar up charge for gel polish but 47 seemed steep for a refill. The first day I had my nails done one was not properly done and came off completely 10 minutes after I left the salon. I went back in the next 3 days in a row hoping to get it fixed before I had to return to work and every time I went in and politely requested them to fix it they told me they were too busy to help me. Tonight I decided to try one last time seeing as they closed at six I got there at 5:20 and the woman locked the door while I was walking up and they closed 40 minutes early. I have never written a review for a business before but this experience was so disappointing I felt the need to share.

Star Nails has very high level of safety to avoid COVID19 -- the employees wear a mask, have a plastic face guard, plus a plastic screen is between the employee and customer. 6 feet or more between stations. Everything is carefully wiped down between customers. Well done Star Nails!

I really wanted this to be a good experience since I was treating myself to a birthday pedicure but it was probably the worse pedicure that I have ever received. I got the deluxe pedicure but it wasnt anything special, and definitely not worth the $10 extra dollars (it was $35 for the deluxe and $25 for the regular). The water used to fill the foot soaking tub was actually cold, not even lukewarm and she kept it running so it practically was overflowing the entire time. The plastic liners were not attached properly and I did not enjoy having my feet submerged in cold water with big pieces of plastic floating around. I tried to tell her, but she barely spoke any English. She clipped my toenails and did not even file any of them! I had to get the owner to ask her to round them but at that point, it was a lost cause. All of my nails are different lengths and not uniform looking. The nail polish was old and I now have to go and get another pedicure b/c not only are my nails not shaped nicely but the polish is all bumpy and looks horrible. I just want others to be aware because there are lots of other, better nail salons to go to in Boulder. She didnt put the toe separators in correctly, which made them actually hurt and no one even helped my take the separators out! The woman who did my pedicure (despite being friendly) had a look of utter disgust on her face practically the entire time (clearly, she does not enjoy her job). I now have to go get another pedicure b/c my feet look so bad. Dont waste your money!

I’ve been going to this salon for over a year and I will never go anywhere else! I am very picky and particular about my nails... I have always struggled to find a salon that knew what they were doing until I discovered Star Nails. They know exactly what I like and I never leave disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly, the environment is relaxing and I always leave with beautiful nails! Thank you Star Nails!

The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the wait..was a bit long, they only had a few employees there on a Friday after noon. Do take it upon yourself to schedule an appointment. Otherwise, my service and the environment was amazing! My nail technician, Jenny, did an outstanding job on my acrylic nail rebase. She took her time and really made sure the nails were to my liking. I appreciate quality nail work. Some people just slap the acrylic on and shape it however they want. Jenny really did a quality job. I will be asking for her again in the future. Thank you!

I’m happy with the service. I got a mani pedi. The girl did a great mani! She gave me exactly what I asked for. The pedi was also good, but the only bad thing I have to say is that I wish they would have done more work to make the heel area of my feet smooth and exfoliated, working all hard spots. Not a big deal for me but you might want to consider that. The employees are friendly and they are taking safety preventions for covid19

This was my very first pedicure and the wonderful young woman who performed her magic was delightful. Im a runner so my feet and legs do a lot of work. They still fell great. I may be hooked.

Ive recently started coming to this salon due to my friend whom did my nails prior, relocating. Im so happy I picked this place! I take my mother with me and her legs dont work the way they used to. Ive never been to a shop so clean and respectful! Lee and Lacey are amazing people! They go out of their way to make my mother happy and I appreciate that. I never feel rushed when Lee does my nails and shes very lovely and pleasant! I know that if there isnt something Im happy with, I can always go back and itll be fixed!

I was going there for a while and am fairly certain that I got plantar warts, a contagious viral foot infection, from their un-sanitized equipment. It was winter and I never had my feet exposed otherwise. I will not be going back there.

Don does a great job with pink and white -- he is timely, efficient and my nails last 3 weeks before needing attention. I could even push it out 4 week if need be. The staff are kind, polite and professional.

This place is not so great. You cant help but feel like the nail techs are talking about you. I had a great pedicure there once--and the last three were not so great.

Visited for convenience because I was in a hurry and couldnt go to my regular place. Very pleasant technician who upsold me to more services - which I accepted. Then the manager decided that she should work on someone else and my one hour service time shrank to 45 minutes with the last part of my nail care done with very poor quality because she was in a hurry to do what he said. Wont go back

I went here for a long time..... thought it was best in Boulder.I started going somewhere else to get my nails but still wanted to get pedis here.They were really rude and awkward about it.Last two times I went I bled from the pedi and my nails were super uneven.🤷🏿‍♂️They do have the cutest salon in boulder but it’s just like any nail salon..... depends on who you see there.

The three technicians that worked on us spent the entire time talking badly about both my friend and I assuming we wouldnt understand them. Rushed through the mani and pedi and left my cuticles bleeding. There are plenty of other salons with similar prices and better service I suggest checking any of them out

Horrible, every time I go Im disappointed. They get you in and out as quick as possible with no attention to detail. My eyebrows are always completely uneven and theres still stray hairs left behind. Never coming here again and would definitely recommend against it. Im extremely unsatisfied.

If I could give them no stars I would. I came here with my friend and they had her waiting for an hour before her nails got looked at even, and they charged her $50 which is $10 more than advertised and her nails looked horrible. Horrible with customer service. They called the cops on my friend because she asked for them to fix her nails or give her her money back.Mine were done the same day, exactly a week ago and I havent been doing anything serious involving my hands and I had my pinky nail corner chip off and my pointer finger nail crack in half. I too spent $50 and Im so unsatisfied. Dont go to this salon. I highly recommend Padela Nails on Wadsworth in Westminster.

I got a shellac mani, regular pedi and my eyebrows done for $60. The customer service is great. My nail color fell off after 2 days, I went back and they fixed it with no problem. He even applied a top coat and made sure the other nails were ok. Ill be frequenting this salon. Its pretty clean too.

Rushed through my pedi and did a horrible job. Still tipped because obviously this guy hates his job and seems miserable. Will not be going back. Waste of money and time. You really shouldn’t have someone like that on your staff.

Ive been here three times (I work nearby) and each time I have left disappointed. The prices are great, but I havent been happy with the quality. When they trim my cuticles during a manicure, the trimmer is so dull it feels like they are just pulling skin off (and not very well, either; the skin is still peeling when I walk out). More importantly, I dont get the impression they are particularly careful disinfecting their tools (they simply wash the cuticle trimmers in the sink after using them). Plus, whenever I come in with a friend for manicures they dont seat us next to each other.I will say that my first experience here was with a pedicure; that was a better experience than either manicure I got. However, I dont have dry skin on my feet and my friend who needed more work in that area said the experience was painful and hasnt been back. I dont think Ill be back, even though it is incredibly convenient.
