Love Ella! Doesn’t matter if I’m getting a wax or a pedicure her attention to detail is great! One of my favorite things about her is that she will tells me what I need. She’s open to answering all of my questions about what she thinks might be best for either my skin or one of my services. I love it!

From the moment I walked into JLounge I felt relaxed and well cared for by all. I have had my eyelashes tinted at various places around town and was looking for a new provider and booked with Ella at JLounge and I am happy I did. She was professional, the place was hygienic and my lashes look amazing! It am 3 weeks into the tinting and they still look freshly done. I would recommend JLoung to all!

I just had THE MOST GLORIOUS precious 60 minutes with Amelia Vargas...Ive honestly never had a facial that was this relaxing, incredible and deep. If you want to get a delicious gift for someone, or treat yourself, I cannot recommend Amelia more wholeheartedly. Just. WOW.

Quick pedi doesn’t allow time for gel, that has to be scheduled in advance because they need 15 extra minutes for it. 45 minutes seems excessively long for a gel polish change with no existing polish to remove. Got a polish change on my nails instead— didn’t even buff off the old polish fully before putting it on. Looked terrible so I had her take it off, which was done sloppily. Overall really disappointing.

They had a great Valentine’s gift card special. Took my 2 girls here for pedicures and a polish change and we had really a lovely time. They were excited to go, and all the staff was so welcoming and made conversation and just made it feel really special.

I don’t recommend getting a lash lift here. Everyone was nice & professional, however- I’ve gotten lifts done elsewhere that actually lift and curl your lashes and they did not do that here. It felt like I essentially paid for oil to be put on my lashes and an arm massage.

I was gifted a pedicure for my birthday, and had heard just marvelous things about the place from other people. I was so glad I got the opportunity to go. Everyone I have met and have had for my pedicures is so wonderful and friendly and professional. I always recommend it to friends, and I love going back to enjoy my treatment. They are also super safe and only allow a certain number of people in the store, and we are all more than 6 feet apart.

One of the best mani-pedis I have received. To be in a salon without all the harsh chemical smells of other nail salons was wonderful. My nail tech - B,Rajina Maharjan, was thorough and attentive. Great care was taken. Such a relaxing and beautiful salon - I will be back !

I had the fresh face facial with dermaplaning with Ella. My face felt like a million bucks when I left :-). My sister has been recommending Ella to me for at least a year and now I see why! Ella is very skilled and knowledgeable about skin types and needs. She provides a gentle but thorough facial with excellent products. And she is just a beautiful, kind, patient (and funny) human

We drove an hour and a half to get our nails done at this specific place and have had reservations for a while now. We got a call 20 minutes before our appointment that one of the workers couldn’t come in, and we were the only ones answering the phone so our appointment got cancelled. They admitted that we were the only ones who responded to their call and so we are the ones who cant get our nails done. They didn’t attempt to make it right in any sense, offer us anything for the trouble, or try to move appointments around so that they could fit us in. As someone who works with in the public service industry, this should have been handled very differently.

Cassandra was such a delightful, detailed and talented manicure tech! I really enjoyed talking with her and my nails look soooo fabulous!! Everyone is so friendly there, and its so clean!

Jlounge is my favorite spa in Boulder! They use natural and organic products, so the spa doesnt have that nail salon smell. Its clean and comfortable with a great little boutique to shop in while youre waiting for your nails to dry. Its very relaxing, too. I like their facials and pedicures. Ive always had great service and would highly recommend them!

There was a time when I would’ve given 5 stars. I was seeing the same tech for 3 years, when out of the blue she decided she didn’t have time for my service and I needed to book for a longer time. I called to clarify and understand the reason for this. I was spoken to by the tech manager and the owner in an incredibly rude manner. As I was calling to seek understanding, they seem to have already come to a conclusion against me-to this day I do not know what the situation was. I apologized for whatever the tech had felt I had done and attempted to make another appointment with her. She cancelled my appointments. I spoke with the owner on several occasions about this. She did not seek to understand or speak to her employee on my behalf, but stood by her employee instead of the paying customer like I had done something wrong. I have never been treated so unfairly and unprofessionally. I can say the tech was extremely skilled and caring until this happened. Out of the blue, she discriminated against me. I came in one time after and saw another tech, I was watched like a criminal. The tech manager positioned himself next to my tech to watch me and the owner, whom I’d never seen prior positioned herself across the room in front of me. It was the oddest behavior I’ve ever encountered. There is clearly a racism issue here And wealth discrimination; the environment similar to a high school with cliques and bullying. The owner is sadly in with it. My tech person, Dani, was incredibly talented. I don’t know if this was about the shop policies or money. I guess I will never know. I do think the owner and manager did not manage this well whatever the origin of the issue. Best luck to you if you choose to go. I hope this never happens to anyone else. It was truly upsetting to me as I had developed trust and care for this tech.

I love Amelia at Jlounge, I went to her at another spa as well, she is a great acupuncturist and esthetician. A light in this world. I love her treatments and waxing too.

I love getting my brows done by Ella. She is the BEST. I would follow her anywhere.The nail experience can be hot and cold depending on which technician you get and what their mood and level of customer service is on that day. Generally it all goes well but there is one person I try to avoid because she is easily stressed and flustered.

I am grateful to have a place to go where I can make healthier choices about what I expose myself to. I love being able to make an appointment online and also love that I can request specific people. I always find someone I can connect with and I would recommend to anyone. Even brought my best friend in!

As soon as I stepped into this beautiful spot, I was greeted by a lovely staff member. She promptly got me checked in and handed me a new client forum to fill out. They offered me tea and water, which is a cute little self-service area. The services I got done were a lash and brow tint. Which I must say are quite affordable at this location. Indya did an AMAZING job. Very kind, communicative, funny, down-to-earth and sweet eyebrow/ eyelash technician. This was my first time getting my eyebrows tinted and I will definitely be coming back. Very excited to try the other services they offer! :)

I went in because they also offer services for men. I liked it. If I was a rich man... Id go more often, but it was a nice treat to pamper my feet.

I got a massage from Ashley and it was absolutely incredible. Im highly active 6 days a week but after 1 massage I felt completely rejuvenated. Between her and the incredibly friendly front desk woman Monika I will definately be going back!

Tomboy that has never had a facial, but I was stressed irritated and my skin was stressed and irritated. Claire walked me through the facial process and made my skin feel amazing again. She also gave me a few super easy skin care routines to do at home, and its helped SO MUCH. She helped my skin calm down, and maybe more importantly empathized so warmly with what I was going through life-wise. 10/10 will be making facials my treat-yo-self of choice from now on!

I only go to J Lounge now for my pedis and always see Ella. Its the best experience Ive had in all my years. Not only is Ella so sweet and caring in the service, she is also so talented and efficient. I love the ambiance of J Lounge and the natural products they use. Cant say enough great things about this place and Ella!

My mom and always makes a point to visit J Lounge when she is in Boulder, however, on our most recent visit the polish came off almost immediately! The massages and service were great. But her finger nail polish (which she can usually keep for a full two weeks) starting flaking off the next day and was almost completely gone 2 days later. My toe nail polish, which usually can last more than a month, was popping off in the shower in full toe nails and almost completely gone after a week. I dont know if they changed their polishes or base/top coats, but we arent as excited to keep coming back and paying to have our nails painted only to have it come off so quickly.In addition, I called and emailed J Lounge about this and NEVER got a response - I would drop this down to 2 stars if the techs that did our nails werent so sweet.

This place is just okay. Im chemically-sensitive, and the last few times Ive been in theyve had super-strong perfume-y candles going. The natural light is nice, but there is this stressed-out vibe among the nail technicians, and I think maybe the sessions get booked too close together, as they are always flying through the different stages of the nail treatments. If the prices were slightly lower, and the treatments were a little longer and more relaxing (instead of just efficient) it would be a good place to go. But I think Ill be trying other nail salons in Boulder for awhile.

I LOVE J. Lounge!!! I have extremely sensitive and compromised skin and when I was at the point where I couldnt use any moisturizer or serum without a severe reaction. Christian and Amelia have truly helped me heal my skin (after so many years of an embarrassing and painful perma-red face), which has honestly been life changing. They are both so incredibly kind and knowledgeable and AMAZING at their jobs. Its such a rarity to find such compassion, commitment and excellent service. If it was possible, Id give J. Lounge 500 stars.

I was gifted my first ever facial to j lounge and I was very impressed!! When you walk in, you would think it would smell like a nail salon but it smells SO much more like a spa. Very professional, modern and clean. Shelby was my aesthetician and she was wonderful! Sipping on cucumber chilled water or tea helped to relax me. Talk about finding the perfect match--I have already booked my next recommended procedure.

Tonight one of my girl friends and I had the pleasure of experiencing More Pedicures and we had a fabulous time. They use really high quality, natural products that leave your skin feeling soothed and soft. The salon is beautiful and extremely clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I am counting down the days until I can go back again! Pamper yourself :)

Great pedicure. Im usually a little squeamish when it comes to my toes but they were really gentle. A good selection of polishes too. Plus a glass of wine was great to kick off the ladies day!

My pampering Wednesday went excellent at this place. I am a spa owner myself and like to try out other places. My facial with Ella was A+ and I am super picky being an esthetician myself for years. My mini pedicure with Regina was lovely. I love that they offer non-toxic nail polish. My massage with Ashley was a little too chatty but that was partly my fault too ;) she addressed everything I asked her to and helped me very much with my tennis elbow. There was a mix up at the check-out about $50 extra charge and the receptionist fixed it very smoothly. I was just reading that they offer beverages. I did not see any of these but will try it next time.

Racist shop avoid if you a person of color. I walked in today and there was zero people there, and the front desk person told me they were fully booked. I looked around and still asked again but she looked at me and said no.Will be reporting this to the city as well.

I’ve been here several times. My first time was a perfectly fine experience. My second, I booked mani-pedis for myself and 3 bridesmaids for my wedding. I made sure to let them know over the phone that it was a bridal party, and I booked well in advance. One week before our appointments, I got a voicemail saying they needed my credit card info to hold the appointment. I called back and provided the information. Days before my wedding, I got an email saying that all the appointments were cancelled, so I called, obviously upset. Whoever handled the situation didn’t apologize, and blamed the employee and disorganized scheduling system, and just overall made it seem like I was inconveniencing her because she had to move other appointments around to accommodate ours.When we came in for our appointments, there was no special “seasonal special” to the pedicures like I had gotten before, yet I paid the same amount as before. Also, none of us were seated together.... I was there for my wedding and we all had to get our services separately. My manicurist also was chatting with us the whole time about herself rather than letting me try to enjoy my girls day with my friends. It was overall terrible customer service and I will not be returning.

What a beautiful experience I had a J Lounge. The space is gorgeous- peaceful and spotlessly clean. Amelia is an experienced and professional aesthetician. I was 100% thrilled with my experience there.HIGHLY recommend trying their services.

A bit disappointed. If it werent so pricey, Id prob give it 4 stars. But at these prices, I expect excellent services, and a pampering experience.THE GOOD: Very clean. Peaceful. Friendly technicians and staff. Less toxic products, and it doesnt smell like a nail salon.THE BAD: With high prices, I was splurging for a day of pampering, but really didnt have a spa like experience. They advertise as a lounge where you can enjoy a beverage while you relax... The beverage is water...& a couple selections of tea. But in the 4 hrs I was there, the tea water was empty. I had to ask for it, and by then it was time for my service, so I didnt even get to enjoy it. There were only a couple chairs to sit in. No snacks available, or even for purchase. Also, in the 4 hrs I was there, there was no way to dry your hands in the bathroom. Yes, small things but at these prices you expect an experience, not just a service.THE UGLY: My $95/hr massage was just ok, not bad. Just ok. My nails already chipped by the end of the night, all my fingernails had bubbles in the polish, and 2 of them were smudged.

Couldn’t get my acrylics off and seemed like I was a bother and very timed for the salon not being busy. For these prices i expected better accommodation.

Ahhh, refreshing place for waxing and tinting. The esthetician was amazing and took the time to learn about my sensitive skin. The hand massage while the tinting set in was an added bonus. I am so happy there is a place that pays attention to the details and has awesome customer service at a reasonable rate. Oh, and the little boutique is filled with great goodies. I walked out with two handbags. Thanks, jlounge!

Claire saved my skin. When I first came to her last August (2014) I had painful, cystic acne. I tried antibiotics given to me by my dermatologist. Spending an hour with Claire was more helpful than any doctor I had seen. Immediately Claire could tell that I was a good water drinker and that my acne was probably a food sensitivity since I didnt have acne on my back or chest. She recommend I cut back on nuts and dairy. Within two weeks of seeing her my acne was significantly better, turns out it was nuts causing my breakouts! I still had acne but much less. Then I saw her again in June (2015) and she continue to give me the most amazing advice and my skin is looking even better! I went from painful acne on my forehead, chin, and cheeks to a few pimples here and there. Although facials are around $90, Claire gives you priceless advice and actually gets to know you and your skin before recommending anything. I am so grateful to Claire and jlounge for a natural solution to my acne instead of harsh drugs or ointment. I will be a long term customer of jlounge for sure.

Jennifer Zrubek is the best! I started seeing her before she opened the JLounge and have never been disappointed. While Ive been to JLounge for a number of services my favorite is the Fresh Face facial. She is so good at picking products and procedures to really help my improve my skin. I love that she incorporates a scalp, hand, and foot massage into the session. I always leave feeling completely relaxed. When I ask, she is very helpful with product recommendations without being pushy about purchasing anything. Her lash/brow tinting and waxing still are also outstanding. Parking is never an issue and it is easy to book appointments online. If you want to know about their special events or discounts get on their email newsletter list!

Ive had two facials here. The first was seriously excellent, the second involved coconut oil. Apparently coconut oil is fairly comedogenic -- I ended up with giant cystic acne (within a few hours, having done nothing else to my face or eaten anything, so there was no other probable cause) all over my face when it had been previously clear (and just in need of a little microderm due to the change in seasons).After doing some research Ive found that coconut oil doesnt work for a lot of peoples skin and Im not alone in this. Im disappointed that it is part of the standard facial treatment offered by several (but not all) of the facialists here. I wont be returning, despite how good the first facial (without coconut oil) was.

As far as nail, body and skin care in boulder it doesnt get any better than this.Im a skin care addict and get facials every couple of months at jlounge (in addition to my monthly jlounge mani/pedi). I recently tried the 4 layer facial and it was amazing! I have pretty dry skin, thanks to the CO climate, and have to take extra care to ensure my face doesnt get too flaky or red. The 4 layer facial was super moisturizing and I left with my skin feeling very balanced and calm.Ive been using the jl organics face wash for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. After my facial, I left with the balancing facial oil and I think Im sold. I had been using straight jojoba oil as my moisturizer but something about the jl organics oil makes my skin feel more.....balanced.I cant recommend this place high enough for facials especially but also nails. They do an amazing job all around!My 2 tips: (1) get the vinylux polish - it stays on so much longer than regular polish (2) add dermaplaning onto your facial; it gives you the most amazingly smooth skin ever. (And is super addicting!)

CLEAN!!! LIGHT!!! FRIENDLY!!My first visit and I went for the more pedi and it was more than Id hoped for. I am susceptible to staph infections and have been putting off a pedi because I always get scraped and cut and the tubs are usually questionably clean at many of the local salons.Not one cut or scrape. Lauren was superb and took time and put in effort to assure that my experience was outstanding. Not everyone can afford a $60 pedicure so I feel very blessed that, while Im by no means wealthy, I dont have to settle for the $25 walk in that leaves me walking OUT with open cuts on fingers or toes!The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing yet vibrant all at once! The cherry, marzipan tea is excellent.I hope to return for a nice facial and when my fingernails recover from too many gel polishes (they are ridged and peeling!!) I will try their mani/pedi combo!Marie G.
