Great team of folks! One of the ladies is always really nice and friendly around the North End. Would definitely reach out if I ever need a hand with my car!
Great company great people. They helped me out in my time of need.
I was stuck late at night next to an alley in my little Prius that wouldn’t move and was freaking out! The AMAZING woman who answered did so honestly and said “we don’t have anyone in that area but you should call our friends at xxx”!!!! How awesome is that?! Super helpful and 24 hour service!!!!
They say the first point of contact for any company is the most important to make a great first impression, and I can’t say enough about Mary from Walsh Towing who did exactly that and then some. Mary went above and beyond to help assist me with not only the services I needed from Walsh Towing, but she also gave me the best referral as a recommendation for an additional service outside of what her company provides all based from a friendly conversation where I merely mentioned why I needed my car towed. Mary is my hero of the week, her recommendation saved me $200 and I can’t thank her enough. Walsh Towing, please know Mary gives your company a great name, and you should be very proud she’s part of your team.
The towing was very professional and they wheee respectful
Good people
Scraped my Range Rover on a concrete wall. Enough said. Don’t understand how someone can be this careless of people’s property.
I called when I couldn’t start my car and was given instructions for utilizing my AAA advantages. Very grateful for the above and beyond help offered by this company.
I like there Customer Service and the Driver was nice and polite.
They towed my truck while it was legally parked at home depot. After three hours waiting they brought it back. No apologies.
After waiting on AAA for hours on end, I called up the local tow company and instead of taking more than twice as long as they stated, they actually got there earlier and accomplished in 20 minutes what I could not do in 2 days with AAA. 3 stars was because of confusion in price. Over the phone, price given was $60 (cash), though the tow truck driver asked for $90 before I mentioned that I was told $60. My car has been towed to the mechanic and I am happy.
Unfortunately my car was towed for street cleaning (city life) but the woman in the office made the experience laughable and tried to cheer me up. I dont blame the tow company they are doing their job. I should have done my job and read the sign lol lesson learned
Walsh Towing engages in predatory towing practices and should be avoided at all costs. Any company that makes a profit illegally by preying on vulnerable citizens is one to avoid. We can make a difference and decide who deserves to proper and grow and it is definitely not WALSH!!! Beware!!! STAY AWAY
My car was recently towed by Wash Towing due to street cleaning; and unfortunately, there was some accidental damage done to my car during the towing process. As soon as I made the damage known to the folks at Walsh, they apologized for the trouble, and assured me that the cost of repairs would be covered. I was put in touch with Mary Walsh, who was especially helpful -- very communicative, personable, and easy to work with. She cut me a check for the repairs within a few days, and I was on my way. I was expecting the worst, and couldnt be more pleased with how it all turned out.
This towing company has a contract with and tows for my apartment complex. My property manager was supposed to put my rental vehicle on a ‘No Tow’ list with Walsh so that they wouldn’t tow the vehicle when I park it in the complex lot.I called this past Friday night to make sure my car was on the no tow list. A woman named Jeanie let me know that she wasn’t aware of any arrangements, and nether were her coworkers but she would add the vehicle to the list that evening. I called again in the morning (Saturday) to make sure the morning staff knew of the arrangement as well. The woman I spoke to over the phone told me that Jeanie nor any of her other coworkers made her aware of the arrangement either, but that she would add my car to the no tow list that Saturday morning. When I came out of my building SUNDAY MORNING, the car was gone. TOWED.When I called Walsh’s to let them know that they had wrongfully rowed my car, a woman name Sherie let me know that (again) she knew of know such arrangements. I asked her to call Jeanie or her boss, figure it out and call me right back. I explained that I had already called in the previous two nights, and that this is something they should’ve communicated to each other.Sherie called me back letting me know that the mistake was with her boss who allegedly sent out a mass text to all the employees to put my car on the list, but nobody put it ‘up on the board’ so that all the employees could visually be reminded of the arrangement when they come into the office.Instead of returning my vehicle back to the spot they took it from, I was instructed by Sherie to come down to the lot to pick the car up myself. My phone charger was in the vehicle, and my phone had died after my 2nd phone call with Sherie. I had to blindly commuted to Walsh’s with a dead phone, luckily getting directions from a different towing company that was nearby. When I left Walsh’s and finally parked my car that afternoon I noticed damage to the back of he vehicle. It almost looked as if it was backed up, or let go into a wall or another vehicle causing a ‘pressure mark’ and cracked paint on the rear of the car. The worst experience ever, and this lot is poorly operated and managed.
The service here is impeccable. Great service and friendly employees. They have been very helpful in helping solve the constant parking problem in my residence and i applaud their extreme patience in dealing with rude and stubborn idiotic people that dont understand rules.
Signed a contract with them that specifically states that they can only tow if I call them. They ended up towing my tenants car without my permission and made them pay. This company is a scam. This isnt the first time this has happened either. I will def be switching companies...
Bad customer service and the money they want to charge is ridicules plus waiting time is almost 2 hours. Would not recommend
Online it says open but when I went to pick up my car no one was there and I had to wait 20 mins in the freezing cold .
My complex has a contract with these people . earlier on, awesome, right on top of things. last couple of years, they never show up, and they make sure to not answer the phone again when you call back.
Walsh towing monitors our visitor parking lot in our condo building in Dorchester. Frankly I have no issue with tow companies, and havent ever had to have my car towed. However a guest was parked with a rental car in our guest lot, with a visitor placard visible in the window. Walshs idiot drivers, who drive around in blacked out window trucks like thugs in Mattapan, towed the car...at their discretion, because the driver failed to look at visitor pass. When I finally was able to get through to the idiots at this company, they admitted their mistake and refused to bring the car back. The girl on the phone, who was no help at all, gave me her managers cell phone number. Which was turned off. The girl at the office gave no reasoning as to why they couldnt return the car. Leaving us to find a way to get to their tow yard.Absolutely abysmal customer service, idiot drivers, and a manager that doesnt turn her phone on during business hours. Ill be working with our board to find a more reliable tow company.
I am astounded with the professionalism this place lacks! If there was an option to leave no stars I would .First off OK I get it I got my car towed let me pay the fee & get on with my life right?Well let me tell you I walked from my location to this place in a fleece (freezing since oh so happened my coat was in the car that they towed !That’s besides the point) . I get there after walking a 2 mile distance & what happens I knock at the window no answer . I search around no one to be found, so I called the number provided lady who answers says “well I’m off sight “ what does that even mean!!!!?? I said OK, how long till someone’s here? She said let me call you back (at this point I’m over it by far) . I waited for her call in the cold where a bunch of rats are passing by. Finally she calls and says to me the driver is about two blocks away, at this point im not shocked at all . I just accpeted the fact this is going to be a while and just took my lemons and made lemonade after waiting a good 20-30 minutes. The to me is insane !It’s not over ! The guy finally gets here and starts opening up and I’m so impatience because I’m freezing . Guy says a comment saying well I’m doing you a favor ! And I’m like what favor? taking care of my transaction are you f****ing kidding me after I waited 30 minutes in this damn cold? I hand the guy the money to pay for my car to be removed.I get into my car and off I go. After Almost arriving home, I noticed that the guy shorted me 30$$$$$$ . Now Im so ready to just get rid of the car in total . I turn my car around and head back, & guess what! I called the number provided to let her know what’s going on & im now waiting another 30 minutes just to get my accurate change !In total I’ve been here for an hour or more what in the hell is going on here !?& seems as if the person who works there who counted my money has shorted me my 20$ dollars I am beyond pissed and the manager didn’t do anything about itThis place is the worst and I hope whoever contracts you realizes there are much better towing companies out there by far with cheaper rates!!
They never showed up
Hated that I got towed.... But they were very very nice and are willing to work with u
Can someone from your towing co actually pick up the telephone???The phone number listed on your website just rings and rings with no answer.
This is in response to your review:I am the manager you tried to reach at Walsh Towing. My name is Mary.1. If you had left me a message on my machine or sent me a text I would have returned the phone call. When given my number, you were told I had left for a meeting. Obviously I would not be answering my phone.2. The driver is not an idiot. The permit was overlooked. He was new. We acknowledged that a mistake was made. As you stated in your complaint, you had your own car that has not been towed. Therefore you had a way to come to the tow yard. FYI it is a 15 minute walk from where the car was towed. I have walked that way many times.3. Our windows are not blackened like thugs in Mattapan. That would be illegal. We pass a Federal Dot inspection yearly.4. We have been towing from that lot at 944 Dorchester Avenue for atleast 10 years. We made 1 mistake. Sorry, we are only human. We did apologize over the telephone, in person and now on the internet. What more would you like?? Please let me know.5. Regulation does not allow us to bring cars back. Driver safety issueToo many drivers are set up for retaliation that way. This is because a lot of people like to act like thugs. Regardless of where they are from.I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU FOR PUTTING YOUR REVIEW ON EVERY WEBSITE YOU COULD FIND. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT 5 MONTHS LATER WE STILL HAVE THIS ACCOUNT. MAYBE THAT IS WHY YOU POSTED SO MANY REVIEWS..... YOU DONT HAVE AS MUCH PULL AS WE HAVE REPUTATION.HAVE A GREAT DAY
Women on the phone was friendly enough. However she told me it would be $127 if I picked it up by 2pm the next day. When I got there I had to pay $163. I guess she quoted me wrong. Apparently open 24 hours but have to call to confirm someone will be there after 7:30pm.
Towed a legally parked handicap vehicle, accused the holder of the pass of not being handicapped, refused to give manager or owners name or number. Refused to give own name.
Got towed out of the southie high parking lot at 5:45 but they arent supposed to take it until 6. But of course they made the report that they took it at 6:09
Showed up while my car was about to be towed. The guy who was towing it said if I gave him $75 cash he would leave and not tow my car. I didnt have the cash and was charged $143 when I went to get my car later (had to give him $160 because he claimed to have no change even though they only accept cash payments). Extremely hostile and unprofessional people and overall horrible experience.
Walsh Towing? Had a really difficult and frustrating experience with them.
👎
Long wait for a tow over 3 hours
Extremely disrespectful, used profanity when speaking with me, drove through red lights with my car on the back of the truck when they noticed I spotted them taking my car
These people are absolutely terrible.
Stole items from my car
Terrible humans
Awful!
The ultimate invincible mentally retarded trailer company. I just forgot to change the parking permission yesterday. I also dragged to see a better car and deliberately dragged your car. I stopped at startmarket and could stop for two hours. ? Even if you cant stop after 12 oclock, you can stop it for two hours. There are still three or four cars at the door. Why do you only drag my car? The reason is quite funny. I was a trailer at the time. How do I see these cars still here? Service hangs When I 280 feed the dog ☺️
