Great gym! Always clean and quick services, friendly staff as well. Awesome location with a nice outdoor seating (look at the picture included). There’s also a sauna and a steam room, which is not common at gyms in the US from my own experience in the US and abroad. The swimming pool is kind of small, but it does suffice the need. It’s not cheap becoming a member, but I do not think anyone will regret becoming one.

Absolutely love Equinox and looking forward to coming back as a member again now that COVID restrictions have lifted. By far one of the best gyms in Boston. Super clean facility, the staff are great and my membership advisor Layla has been exceptional to work with! It was great having access to the Equinox+ app to workout at home while the gyms were shut down.

The staff are rude and arrogant. This included both the spa and club staff. I wouldnt recommend this Equionx club.

I was a long time member of the gym but decided to cancel in the last month due to the sudden issues with cleanliness in the facility. I was told that they are possibly under new ownership but I see that it is still called Equinox. Be wary the showers can be disgusting at times.

They have a fantastic swimming pool here (which is hard to find in Boston). Around 25 metres/yards long with 4 lanes and almost nobody is using this pool, even when the rest of the gym is really crowded. After swimming (or normal gym workout) you have a choice of sauna and a steam room.

Great staff and luxurious gym. The food bar is one of the best Ive tried from any equinox Ive been too. Also located conveniently near a blue bike rack so it was easy to get to by rental bike.

I went in to check out the gym and evaluate whether I should sign up for just a month before moving from Boston. Fiona was so wonderful and showed me all around, explained all my options and got me really excited about all the amazing amenities at this gym. Sadly I won’t be signing up due to my travel schedule but I would highly recommend the facility and it’s staff.

Made spa appointments assuming that since they are affiliated with the Ritz Carlton the spa would be of the same standards. It is not. Equinox Spa has treatment rooms within the fitness facility. It does not have a spa feeling at all. The person who did my facial was very knowledgeable; but for the price; go to an actual spa in Boston such as the Mandarin.

It’s all about the pool. the pièce de résistance of this club! Bodi rocks and will give you the best insights and on-boarding to the club. I’ve belonged to Equinox from Coast-to-Coast. This one isn’t the best but it’s wonderful and worth it.

Certainly has everything you could want in a sports club. It’s got a ton of space and a great deal of amenities...but MAN, does this location need updating. It’s dirty, dated, and smells(!). One of the reasons you become an equinox member is for pristine condition of your club. That is just not the case here. I’m sure they know it’s time. Equinox is good about keeping these clubs on a renovation rotation. But it’s way overdue here. If they update it out of the early 2000s smelly vibe, it will be one of the best clubs I’ve ever been to. The location and space is really spectacular.

Have seen a serious deterioration in trainers/staff, gym equipment, and the overall “luxury” feel over the past 3 years. Not to mention the price increase this year...not sure why the price is going up when everything else is seemingly deteriorating. The gym is starting to feel more like a BSC than an Equinox..

Expensive, always packed and partially unprofessional staff (to become a member was painful, at some point Marc threatened to cancel my membership as he was claiming he didnt have all documents, after my wife and I had filled everything out twice already and our credit cards were charged. We could fix this only by reaching out to the management!).Also some of the trainers had an attitude that left me speechless when I asked if there was a chance to stock up the kettle bells (there was only one 14 pound and I needed two).I recommend the David Barton as it has much better pricing, a better number of members to space ratio and very nice, helpful staff.

Ive frequented the other locations in the Boston area (Franklin St, Dartmouth St, and Chestnut Hill) and this one just seems to fall short. The facilities arent as nice, the staff arent nearly as attentive, and the locker room cleanliness and amenities leave a lot to be desired. Ive provided feedback to the club, but alas nothing has come of it. While the location is convenient for getting a workout in before heading to the office, I am not sure that this particular site is worth the cost - it just doesnt seem to live up to the Equinox standard which I have grown to know and love.

Really enjoyed going to this gym last summer but I cant recommend it due to a terrible experience with the management. Bassma told me I could join for 10 weeks and then pause my membership at the end of the summer. I told her up front that I would be moving back to New Hampshire to finish school. Turns out they dont do that. Total bait and switch. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up and then change the rules on you. The gym itself is nice - clean, friendly staff, all the equipment you could want. Overall good experience, until the end. I tried to work with them but they charged me a whole extra months membership even though I had moved out of state. They claimed I hadnt given them 30 days notice... You cant do business with people you cant trust. Check out Boston Sports Clubs instead.

After speaking to more than four people from this gym asking about referral bonus, I just checked my account today, and there is still nothing. It has been over half a year and Im extremely disturbed by how the management of this club misleads the members and falsely promises referral bonuses. If you are not going to give out referral bonus, please dont LIE and say you will!!!The one star is just for some of the instructors, who are actually great

I was a member at SCLA for five years and loved every second of my membership. The place is immaculate, classes are TOP notch, and locker rooms you can actually get ready in an feel clean and presentable. While its one of the more expensive gyms in the city, you get what you pay for, and I can basically assure you that youll go to the gym more than you would a place thats not as nice/great classes/convenient... its totally worth your money.I highly suggest any classes with Alexa, Karly, and Dennis! And absolutely, drink at Blu after a workout to make up for all the calories you lost :)

Spa reception staff is terrible. Not well trained, not polite and always unable to find booked and confirmed appts ( appts confirmed by Equinox Spa themselves!) on day of service. There is always confusion on their part, nobody picks up phone when called, and usually can not find attendant at front desk....for an establishment to advertise itself as a sophisticated sports facility and spa, it definitely does not live up to its reputation.

I visited Equinox gym last night with my husband as a guest from The Ritz Carlton which is connected to the gym. My husband and I were encouraged to take a walk through the gym as I am a competitive athlete and was very excited to see what this gym had to offer. Unaware of their no camera policy (again we were visitors not members so we were unaware of any policies) I had my phone out to take short video clips of the gym equipment to showcase how nice the facility happened to be. As we were on our way out an employee stops us and kindly informed us that there is a no camera policy, we apologized, I put my phone away and we continued towards the door to leave. As we approached the door an angry member by the name of Joe angrily approached us and looks at me and says you cant be taking f***ing pictures in here then turns to my husband and says you a**hole I know two Boston police officers and I will have you two arrested. My husband says excuse me and who are you? Joe replies Im the owner. BIG lie. Joe was literally Joe blow the average member at his local gym who apparently was highly bothered by an Italian man with his Black American wife taking a tour through the gym he belongs to. His disrespectful vulgarity, insults, and threats were not taken lightly. I was in fear as now days you dont know who has a gun and will use it. I ask the Equinox staff to call the police and NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER CALLED THE POLICE! After several requests for the police to be called I finally called them myself and filed a report against Joe. Thankfully EVERYTHING was captured on video. A female manager of Equinox actually reviews the video and confirmed that Joe approached us and incited this situation. Equinox did not do one thing to make me feel at ease and I do NOT recommend this gym to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM EQUINOX IF YOU ARE HARASSED OR THREATENED THEY DO NOT CARE. Extremely poor service.**By the way there are all kinds of videos taken at this very location on Instagram.**

Its a nice gym, and I liked everything about it when it used to be Sports Club LA. The Equinox people have put their own imprimatur on things, and it doesnt feel as customer-friendly as it did. I expect to cancel my membership as soon as I can figure out a good alternative.
