Honored to be part of Boston’s first CrossFit community as ONE Nation and CrossFit Boston are now one team.Beautifully renovated facility with the latest new equipment. Amazing, caring coaches who tailor their class to the abilities of each athlete.Wonderfully welcoming and supportive community! So happy to be part of this crew.
New ownership team with all new equipment in a newly renovated space - but its the quality of coaching that sets this gym apart from other Crossfit boxes. They really do know what they are doing and are great at explaining it to beginners and experts too. Great energy here
Awesome gym- coaches are knowledgeable and the space is great. No matter your level, you will feel like part of a community at this gym. Highly recommend!
Proud to be a small part of this awesome place represented through a diverse and incredible community of members!
Quality no frills box. Big open gym area and lots of different weights and Crossfit equipment. However note there are showers but no towels, youll have to bring your own which surprised me. Other than that, recommend for a drop in for anyone visiting!
Exciting to see CrossFit ONE Nation expanding into Boston. Lachlan McGonigle is an amazing coach and athlete. He prepares for every class with a comprehensive plan for presenting the workouts. He is an expert at identifying an athlete’s strengths and weaknesses and offering appropriate scaling and progressions for each movement. I am looking forward to seeing this gym location evolve under Lachlan and James Hobart’s leadership.
Great community, knowledgeable coaches, and fun programming. Awesome gym, cant wait to drop in more often!
Awesome staff and coaching! It’s exciting One Nation is in Boston.
They have free Axe Body Spray in the mens locker room - 5 Stars!
Awesome place. One of the original (if not THE original) crossfit gyms. Neals the owner and main guy, ex-football player thats super nice, nurturing, and is amazing at remembering people, their goals, their struggles. Classically amazing service provider. I went regularly for a little bit a while back, and Neal knew exactly which stretches I needed and which pressure points to work out when I was haivng trouble with knee and hip pain. I hadnt been in over a year (busy phase in life), Neal somehow remembered I had trouble with some inflammation and asked about it. Thanks to Neal when I was getting lesson from him, he taught me how to get rid of the inflammation, and Ive been pretty clear since.Another guy there, Pat, is also really good--hes a crew coach at BC (or BU?) and a crossfit instructor. I went to Pat to get some private rowing lessons on a C2, loved the super technical instruction on rowing PLUS various cross-training and stretching exercises important to rowing. After the first lesson, my tight joints already felt looser, and the pains I was experiencing rowing by myself were non-existent.
A typical gym experience can be a heartless affair; rows of machines facing TVs, members doing their best to avoid eye contact, coaches parked behind the front counter offering no instruction or coaching to the member athlete; the occasional musclebound gym rat who owns certain pieces of equipment and exudes arrogance and aggression.Contrast this with the experience at Crossfit Boston; great music, athletes of all stripes and calibres, greeting each other by name, coaches roaming the gym welcoming athletes, athletes chatting and talking while they warm up for class. Once class begins, expect laughter, repartee, concise instruction to the athlete during every stage of warm up and work out, loud encouragement during the WOD or metcon, recognition of hard effort and finally, the loudest and most positive encouragement delivered to the newest/slowest/emerging athlete who is working the hardest to accomplish the metcon. Its a simple and easy choice - join a community and have furn while you get fit, or watch TV by yourself while wearing exercise gear.Kudos to the owner Neal and all the coaches, past, present and future, who aspire to excellence, virtuosity of movement and the success of each and every member.
The owner of this gym is one of the most arrogant/pompous individuals I have ever met. Its not what you say, its how you say it. Good luck with your condescending approach.
Awesome gym! Great staff!
New ownership, and renovations look amazing already!
Great new coaches and facility.
Wonderful gym with a welcoming community!
Anyone looking for quality workouts and coaching should look here. Yeah, they may not have towels for you to use (you can buy a 3 pack on Amazon for $10), but the community is awesome and youll get a ton of value out of what you pay for.
LOVE this place!!!
