If you have car troubles, STRONGLY recommend this location!!! The manager and mechanics are so accommodating and helpful. Took my car to other location for a new tire, but mechanic broke the air pressure sensor attached to my car’s computer system (didn’t know it then). Took my car to THIS location—they replaced the sensor without any charge since the other mechanic broke it and didn’t fix it. When the new sensor didn’t sync up with computer system, they again fixed the problem without charging me. I highly appreciate these guys!

The guys at Mr. Tire have taken care of my entire family’s car service in a timely fashion. They have been courteous, kind and straightforward…calling me if anything shows up unexpectedly and working with me to bite off only what I can chew at the time. The people here seem really nice at first, but they try to get you to change accessories/parts of your car that dont need to be changed at all. One example is when the last time I came into the shop, they told me that I needed my brake pads changed. Well, a month and a half later, I went to another mechanic and they said my brake pads were 20% in the front and 50% in the back These people try to scam you out of your time and money, please look for other mechanics around the area. There are many better options than Mr Tire here in Boone. Also, not to mention, a $60 oil change is an absolute scam.

We were on vacation in Boone when we needed service for our car. Mr. Tire was near where we were staying so I took the car there. Chris took care of what we needed and got us on our way quickly. I would definitely recommend going to Mr. Tire and seeing Chris anytime you need car repair!

The guys working here were outstanding to deal with. They were able to get us the oddball sized tire we needed and we were in and out in literally a matter of minutes with the new tire mounted and balanced ready to install. Well I think the tire is expensive I was told the match the deal but the price was higher but awesome tires though after the were done check engine light of an my car even sounds happier so yeah besides price great experience got nice tires an seemed to fix car it is worth fist bumps and graffiti and may be an elf size unicorn

Came in last hour because my tire had a screw in it.I went from 35 psi to 10 psi in a matter of miles/minutes. I’m from Charlotte so I needed an ASAP fix so I would not be stuck in Boone over night. I called a previous Mr. Tire and they couldn’t see me until the morning. They fixed up my tire quickly and efficiently. I came in to claim my car 5 minutes before they closed. They were so polite, and I hate doing that to businesses cutting it so close to close! Jeff and team were fantastic! Thank you so so much!

Great little shop. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Feels like a family run business. Pretty reasonable prices too. Definitely call and make an appointment before you go though. While I was there, others walked in needing service and they said it would.be a couple hr wait. They are usually good with getting you a same day appointment though

Chris and his team are amazing. Had to get an inspection and have one of my wipers werent working. I wasnt there more than 30 minutes before I was good to go.Excellent customer service. I highly recommend.

I dont trust this business anymore. Both locations in Boone have lied to me and my wife on multiple occasions. Whether it is the location on 321 overbooking and then telling my wife she didnt really have an appointment or this location telling me this morning that the system for the state care inspection was down on the states side and there was nothing they can do. I drove upwards of 30 minutes to them and dont think a courtesy call was to much to ask, especially since the 321 location did that for me earlier in the week to tell me there DMV connection was down and had been for some time with no ETA on when it would be back up.Funny thing there is I drove over to the Custom Muffler Tire & Quick Lube 3 minutes down the road and they were up a running without any problems. I asked if the system was down at all today and they told me it has been up without any interruptions to the service. They got my business today and Mr. Tire will never get it again.

The staff was so nice! They also worked extremely quickly, so I was in and out in no time. The price was fair and I was more than happy to pay for the excellent experience. I highly recommend!

Cant say enough good things about this store and the manager, Chris Douget. As a rule I dont write reviews simply because I dont have the time. I only write them when things are terrible or terrific as a way of helping others. Im not from Boone, I was there to help a family member who had broken down. After getting them back on the road, in the pouring rain and at night on the way out of town I hit a curb (you cant avoid them in Boone because they are everywhere and unmarked), blowing out both right tires. After staying in a motel for the night I checked Google reviews and asked several people where I should go for help. Literally without exception the answer was Mr. Tire and ask for Chris. I called, explained the situation, and Chris said to come over and he would take care of it. They got the new tires (hard to find Michelins) mounted in short order, and then Chris loaded them and took me back to the motel where he helped me mount them and get back on the road. People talk a lot about service, but Chris Douget lives it every day which is why he has the reputation he does. I cannot say enough good things about Chris and the Mr Tire store he manages. Its no exaggeration to say I might drive the nearly 100 miles back to Boone to get tires from him for my vehicles. Thats how impressed I am with my experience. Go to Chris for tires and auto service. He treats people with service, trust, and respect. He has for others and he did for me.

Mr Tire on Jefferson has some of the best customer service around town. The employees are helpful, work hard to deliver for the customer. Every experience I have had has been trust building and pleasant. These guys know their stuff and their prices are super reasonable as well.

Ive gone to Mr. Tire and have always been satisfied with my experience up until my most recent visit. My truck was not starting, so I got it towed there on a Saturday. They constantly told me new days and times when they would be able to get to it. I had to call them multiple times throughout the week to get any updates. They told me it was one thing and it would be ready to pick up almost a week after I dropped it off - I came to get it, they hadnt put in the part yet, and it wasnt the solution to the problem. Then they told me it was the starter and I needed new brakes/pads/etc. $1,200 later I can go pick it up. One of the first things I noticed was that my alignment was off which had not been an issue when I dropped it off. It was so bad that when I pressed on my brakes it put me into the oncoming lane for a moment before I could correct it. And now, a week or so later my truck wont start again. I am left once again to get it towed to a place that will actually communicate with me and wont do poor quality work.

I’m from out of town and they fit me in right before close to diagnose an unknown issue. Jeff was so helpful and walked me through the process of getting the repairs done through Ford since I needed some new parts. Overall so friendly, 10/10 experience!

Son bent his rim right before he needed to come home. Called everyplace in boone looking to buy a cheap rim to get home- no one had anything in stock. These guys told him to bring it in over the phone and fixed the rim- they charged him a minimal fee and sent him on his way. It’s been two months no issues at all- highly recommend

What can I say other than, a huge thank you to Chris who managed to squeeze me in to fix my tire that had a leak. My friend and I were on vacation and our rental car rear tyre was in need of repair. Friday morning, Chris was fully booked but said he would squeeze us in at 130pm. We left the car and he got it done at noon.When your time is precious and the last thing you need is a flat tire, I hope you are near Chris and his Mr Tire location. Cannot thank him enough. Great guy,kind and totally sympathetic to our problem and helped us out. 5 stars!!!! We tried other places that would not help but he did 🙂

We blew out a tire while visiting Boone and thankfully Mr Tire was the closest tire place. They took wonderful, prompt care of our needs and made the experience seamless. Staff is great!!

I cannot recommend Mr.Tire and the team enough.I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. During the rotation they found that the thread on my back tires was showing and my tires were cambered. They wrote up an estimate for the fix to the camber and replace the tires.I brought my car back the next day to replace the tires and schedule the parts replacement to fix the camber. They got it on the lift and noticed structural damage that caused the car to be totaled.They were very straightforward and honest about what was needed and that the car was unsafe to drive. I could tell that they care about their customers and want to do whats best for them.I will only bring my car to Mr.Tire while Im spending my time in Boone. I hate that I didnt catch any of their names but to the three men who helped the girl with the green hair, you have my utmost appreciation and Im grateful that I brought my car to you.

This place is wonderful! I was in a bind. They were incredibly busy and somehow fit me in. They are quick, efficient, honest and affordable.

First off I just want to say that I am a college student. I went to Mr.Tire for an oil change and during the change they informed me that I desperately needed new brake pads and rotors. They said it would cost close to $400. I checked my pads and rotors a week later with my dad and there was absolutely no grooving on my rotors and the pads have not started signaling that they need to be changed. I suspect my pads will last me another 3 months. I appreciate people letting me know when there’s something wrong with my car, but in this situation I think I was targeted as a college student. They probably assumed I knew nothing at all and tried to scare me into a repair that I didn’t need. No thank you.

Had to wait 3 1/2 hours to have 4 tires put on with alignment. And had made an appointment 3 days prior. Ridiculous.

This is the most awsome tire shop around. Great kind service and management. Exceeds any other location and has become my GOto.

We waited over an hour for them to change the oil in my car. A day later when we were driving around we noticed the smell of burning oil and checked under the hood and found that they didn’t even screw in the oil cap. The engine was completely covered in oil, which is very flammable.

Just wanted to say thank you for your honesty and service. Have a daughter at App State to bring her car to you about an issue was having. The manager, Phil, called and made a suggestion of what should take care of problem. Lots of places would have taken advantage of the situation due to me being 4 hour’s away. I called today about 12:30 and ask if I could bring my vehicle in that I had 4 new tires I purchased online I really needed put on because of the weather and nobody local were open today on Sat and ask if they could change the oil and service it also and told me what time to be here and they got right to it within 5-10 mins after arrival. Has a small waiting area inside with several differant kinds of magazines and also very easy to connect WI-FI, little pricey than would like to pay as I do all of my maintance but really needed the tires put on and wouldnt you know the change engine oil came on so kill two things in 1 day., But I would recommend them....

We were visiting the area over the holiday weekend and ended up getting a flat. I was worried about finding a place that would be open, but Phil said they would take care of us. Although we had repaired the tire in order to get there, I ended up getting new tires all around which they had installed in 45 mins! Great people and service.

We were vacationing and the morning we went to leave, truck wouldnt start. Got a tow from Bills Garage and he dropped us off at Mr. Tire. They were fantastic. I got new tires from them and was very happy with the service. I have been here twice and the customer service has always been very through and friendly. I do not know all that much about cars nor tires, and with them, I feel well taken care of. Would definitely recommend! Make sure you go to the 167 Jefferson Rd, Boone NC location and not the one in Blowing Rock road (the service at that other location was very rude).

Out of town on a camping trip and I woke up to a flat tire. I made an appointment for 3:30 in the afternoon and dropped the truck off by 12:30, just in case they had time to fit it in sooner. I had worked the Census for a couple months and was driving on several roads that were in bad shape. I was sure my tires needed to be aligned. I took my car to Mr Tire at New Market. They gave my car a free alignment check and determined it didn’t need an alignment. No charge!!!! It is very rare in today’s world to find honest people. I was very impressed with their honesty.Also, the staff was very nice and the waiting area was clean and pleasant to wait in. I’ll definitely do more business here in the future!😀

Been going to 321 location and wasn’t really happy, went and tried out the New Market location. Met new manager and was impressed with the service and care he handled my car issue with. Other location had just did brakes a month ago and had started smoking in rear, they said was normal break in, had these guys check and pads were hanging up. They warranted the pads and lubed up the brake slides. No more smoke. Thanks Phil and Larry the mechanic for helping us out. Will be back to New Market location from now on!! Thanks Adam

Made an appointment online for an open slot to get a tire plugged. Got to the shop for my appointment guy at desk said they couldnt get to it until Thursday this was on a Monday. They were busy at the time but I would have had no problem waiting a little while longer. Whats the point of having an appointment setter on the website if you cant honor the appointment of that time slot was booked then why did it say it was available I cant drive on a flat tire for a week

Perry runs the place and is excellent. Polite, professional and knowledgeable. Fair prices and great work. Much better than a stealership (a dealership that rips you off). Do yourself a favor and get your car serviced there.

These guys are honest, theyve never tried to sell me on something that doesnt truly need fixing. Even though they get slammed busy almost always, Garrett stays calm and kind and takes his time explaining car parts and mechanical stuff to me, even drawing visuals to help explain! Requested my tires be rotated during my oil change. Noticed later on they were not, so I called back and the assistant manager asked the tech who said they were wearing evenly so they did not need rotating. I told them they were idiots, thats why you rotate tires so they will wear evenly.

Made appointment as directed, went to the location and was turned away. Told me to come back another day... could have let someone know before I made the trip.... courtesy is going out the window.

These guys are amazing!My car had some serious issues after I pushed it too hard coming up 421 this Saturday. Since we were halfway between our house in Clayton and our destination in TN, I was beside myself with the very real possibility that my engine was done.We got a tow to this Mr Tire location and our luck began to change for the better. Even though their air compressor went down right before we arrived, the guys went about checking out my car by hand. While we waited, they cut a gallon jug in half to give my dog some water.Within 30-45 minutes, they had my car back on the road!If I lived even remotely close to this shop, then I would never go anywhere else. A huge thank you to Dustin, Kaylin (spelling?), and the manager at the time (blanking on his name). I couldnt possibly ask for better customer service. Thank you!

I was grateful that they were able to work on my car and finish it on the same day that I called. They replaced 4 tires, did an oil change, and discovered one of my front ball joints needed replacing and put in a new one. Im happy that my brand new tires wont wear unevenly because of a wobbly ball joint! Good looking out, Mr. Tire! I spoke with three different mechanics at the shop and they all were very patient and kind, even though it was very busy. They even brought me into the garage to check out the faulty ball joint myself, which I really appreciated. Excellent customer service. Bonus: the tech working on my Ford Escort owns two of them himself! I very much felt like I was in good hands. I almost wish I wasnt leaving Boone so I could continue to service my car there.
