My daughter broke down in Boone, 2 hours from home. Bill’s garage got her towed and repaired in under 2 hours so she could safely get back on the road. Very friendly staff over the phone. Reasonable prices. No scams or unnecessary work.
We finished up our dinner got out and found our Jeep not starting. I called them and sent there guy I we to us and he jumped us off. They were so wonderful and incredibly helpful. So glad they were able to help us. Thank you guys!!!!
Had some car trouble and brought our car into Bills. They took time to determine we would be ok coming in the next day for service. Great experience the next day, they were very communicative about the issue and work needed. Trustworthy and reliable!
Excellent service and friendly staff! Also extremely quick. Would recommend.
10/10 for timeliness. Would recommend to anyone. As a local I can tell you sometimes the winter up here can do strange things and even those of us with experience can make mistakes. If you make a mistake with your vehicle and get it stuck...these guys can respond quickly. I called and within 1 hour they had a wench up one of the most car testing mountains in the area and ready to help.
I had locked my keys in my car 3rd week of January.I called Bill’s garage in Boone, NC.The two guys that came out were Blake and Chris. They were nice, professional and they opened my car within like 5 minutes. No damage done to my car...I really appreciated them!Thank youSherry
AVOID BILLS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! READ THE REVIEWS HERE---AVOID THESE FOLKS---THEY DESTROY CARS WHEN TOWING THEM. This company will destroy your car. LOOK AT THIS DRIVEWAY THEY PULLED MY CAR OVER just because they did not have the patience to ask someone to move out of the flat driveway out of David Watsons garage. It tore the entire underskirt that is under the front of my car, it cracked it into two pieces and now the piece is just hanging loose under the vehicle. I am planning to file a suit against these idiots. My mechanic chose these guys, OTHERWISE I WOULD NEVER USE THIS PLACE.. THEY did not want to wait until the flat driveway was open to pull it out. THE CAR WAS NOT LIKE THAT WHEN IT WAS SITTING AT THE GARAGE...I plan to take out a small claims action... DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they will ruin your vehicle. Look at all the other BAD reviews of this awful company. AVOID---USE HAMPTONS TOWING---THEY ARE CAREFUL AND WOULD NEVER DRAG A VEHICLE OUT LIKE THIS.
Great service and very friendly. Chris is the most friendly driver I have seen.
Was up in boone for some lunch on my day off and My truck died. I called the garage because they were the closest. Came over real quick and towed it to the shop. They replaced my starter and got me back on the road in a matter of a few hours. Saved me from having to rent a car. Which I was in the process of doing when they called and said they found the problem and could have it fixed quickly. Danielle in the office and the tow driver were great. And prices were very reasonable. They saved the day for me. Thank you again.
Nice guy was a great help done everything he could to help us
We called for a tow, due to our car completely blocking the road. Bills garage told us they would arrive in one hour, but we waited over four hours. When we called for an updated ETA they would not provide one, and we eventually ended up canceling for another service.
In the past 6 days we have relied on Bill’s Garage to help us gain access to our car, jump a dead battery (twice) and ultimately tow the 90-day old 2020 vehicle to the dealership. Frustrating to say the least... Bill’s Garage provided quick, courteous, knowledgeable and professional support on both occasions. Blake came to our rescue with a smile & positive outlook each time. Thank you!
Unprofessional and disrespectful employees and a horrible greedy business. My car, that has a parking pass, was towed from my own apartment. The desk lady hung up on me multiple times when i tried to call to get my car back and then when i got there i had eyes rolled at me by the desk lady and she was just plain rude. And one of the other male employees literally said to me What, youve never made a mistake before? when i said this shouldnt of happened. I cant believe this place is in business.
I highly recommend these guys. I was from out of town and my car cut off at the intersection outside of Boone. I keep my car outside, and apparently a critter chewed up the wiring causing trouble on my trip. I was completely unaware of this problem. These guys came to my rescue and took care of my car. My car was fixed so I could be on my way and I couldnt believe how little they charged me. I thank God for them. If you need work on your vehicle or a towing service, and youre in that area, give them a call.
Plain and simple, they get the repairs done right at a reasonable price.
Totally overpriced- no communication skills from driver
Had a nail in my tire this morning (boooo!). They took me right in at opening and fixed it within a few hours (I went down the street while they worked on it). Cost $15. They did a very good job! Also, nice customer service!
I went to the internet to get Bills phone number and noticed they had a fair amount of bad reviews. I couldnt imagine theyd treated that many folks poorly because theyd been so helpful so may times to my daughter and her old Jeep while she was a student in Boone. After reading a few and seeing they were primarily towing related everything became crystal clear. My daughter was in Boone for two years and used Bills several times, each warranting a five star review. Kevin was especially helpful.
Stop towing poor college kids
These are the people who have towed your car, if you parked in the wrong place. They dont play. FOLLOW ME FOR MORE LOCAL INSIDER INFO
Will helped us out with some roadside assistance. Very prompt and professional. He took the flat and had that replaced quickly. He allowed us to keep our vacation on track. Great friendly service at a very fair price.
These guys are awesome! As a parent over 3 hours away from my App student, it is great to know that the good, honest, and very fairly priced folks at Bills are there to provide quick service and make parents feel that our kids will be respected and not taken advantage of. I very highly recommend Bills to anyone!!
Pulled me outta the snow super quick..no bs sales tactics
If you need your car worked on or drug out of the ditch, call these guys.
Could not say enough good things about the people here. Ive had a good handful of experiences with them, locked my keys in my car a few times, needed a tow & new battery once, and this most recent time was a bit heartbreaking as my poor baby broke down & is beyond repair.Even throughout a really exhausting and difficult day for me, the staff here were kind, understanding, and patient with all my questions without making me feel silly at all. They diagnosed the problems quickly, had solutions & options ready, and helped trim down the costs for me as much as they could by the end. The extra heaps of kindness were such an unexpected pick me up on a tough day of admitting my cars defeat, and I wont forget it anytime soon.Definitely dont pass this place up, its worth it. Oh and theres a wonderful pup who hangs out in the shop most days, Jackson was such good company for me & I could honestly have spent hours petting him.
I had a flat tire and needed a tow. David responded quickly and was very polite. After taking my car to one place and quickly realizing it wasn’t a place I wanted to take my car he didn’t not hesitate to offer taking it to their garage. Once there he checked to see if my tire could be patched. Unfortunately it wasn’t patchable and I needed a new tire. They didn’t have any on site but Kevin helped me out by calling around and helping me find a tire. I felt right at home waiting and chatting with him. I feel as if they went out of their way to help me and they definitely have gained a new customer! I would give them 100 stars if I could! I wouldn’t think twice about going to them again! Thank again guys for all the help! Also they don’t deserve the bad reviews others have left because they had their car towed. This is their job and what they do.
I just want to say that these people are the best. They are quick and they do care. Thanks again for the help y’all. I highly recommend bills garage for all your towing needs. They really got us out of a big jam!!!
Bills Garage is a blessing!! Our daughter is a freshman at App State and we had our first encounter with Bills Garage (Will to be specific) back in the fall. Our daughters battery had failed and I had them replace with a new one. I liked the thoroughness of Will and decided to take their number just in case we needed them in the future. This past Friday evening March 16, 2018 around 8:00pm our daughter had an issue with her vehicle to where she could not place the transmission into park. We are 4 hours away from her and did not know anyone else to call but Bills Garage. The dispatcher was super friendly and assured us they would get to her ASAP....the tow truck driver was on another call and she stated it would be approximately an hour before he could get to our daughter. The dispatcher realizing our frustration and how anxious our daughter was, informed Will that our daughter was stranded and Will drove over to campus to assess the situation. He called me to let me know what was going on. Will made sure the vehicle was stable to be left alone until the tow truck could arrive. The driver arrived about 45 minutes later and towed the vehicle to the Subaru dealership. This is what a small town is all about, Bills garage now more than ever feels like part of our family and I know we can trust them to take care of all of our vehicle needs. Thank you so very much for taking pride in your business and for making us feel like a part of the Bills Garage family.
Daughter was there for an oil change. They were very helpful in answering questions about the engine, fair prices, friendly staff.
Good ole fashion service. Alex actually came to my broken down car and got it fixed enough to get it to the shop! Then stayed after hours to get it fixed. Trust these guys!!!
I have to tell you I’m floored at the quick response from them. We were slightly off the road and needed to be winched out. The tow truck arrived just after a friend in a Jeep and was pulled up and out. We were close to being in the river. When they pulled me out they shook my hand, wished me Merry Christmas and drive off. If I ever need help in the future I’m calling these guys! I’ll never forget them thank you! Mike
I had a kitten that apparently decide to ride in the engine compartment from New Market Center to Publix Pharmacy. I could not get the sweet thing out, so decided to call a wrecker to lift the front of my car up and see if that would help get the kitten out. By mistake, and I say that because Bills Garage, has never been very friendly, I pushed call Bills, when I really wanted to call Hamptons Wrecker and Body Shop. Since Bills was on the phone. I asked what they would charge to come to Publix, lift my car up and help get the kitten out. I was told by yet another rude employee of Bills, it would cost a wrecker fee plus time! I also had heard how expensive they were, and what I heard, was correct. I told them thank you that I would call Hamptons. I called Hamptons, told them what the problem was and they said we will send someone right over. Within 10 minutes, the wrecker pulled up. Doug Winebarger, from Hamptons, got out of the wrecker and went straight to work trying to get the tiny scared kitten out. He reached under the hood and climbed under the car, but couldnt quite reach the kitten. So, he lifted the front end of my car and worked until he was able to save the sweet little thing. I had no idea it was there until I heard a couple meows when I was sitting in line at the pharmacy window. After Doug got the kitten out a couple that was parked beside me walked up and asked what had happened. I told them the story and they wanted the kitten! They had a cat they had to put to sleep, and it had come from the engine of a car also. So, it was just tome for them to have this one. I called Dwayne at Hamptons to ask what I owed him so I could stop by and pay. He was so kind, obviously an animal lover, and told me there would be no charge. Thank you so much Doug Winebarger and Dwayne Hampton. This is why I will continue using and recommending, Hamptons, just as I have for the last 35+ years, and will never call or recommend Bills Garage for anything.
I needed a tire repair Sunday evening. It shows open 24 hours online. I showed up about 5:30 pm. They have about 5 people in the office but telling me shop is not open.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always helpful. As far as all the negative reviews for the towing, they are just doing their job. If youre parked where youre suppose to be you wont have to worry. Will continue to recommend and use!
I had this garage tow my car to the dealership to be repaired yesterday. The man who towed my car seemed very short with me, asking me questions about the tow that I had already answered by phone, and did not ask for the keys for my vehicle before leaving. He towed the car but gave the dealership no notification that he had dropped the car off, so when I called the dealership to ask about the progress of the repair, they didn’t even know where the car was. They also didn’t have the keys, so I had to go drop them off so that the repair could be started in the first place. Very disappointing service.
Very friendly, fast, and professional with a down home feel!
So about a month ago I was impatient and decided to try a different garage to replace my brakes instead of waiting for Bill’s to fit me in. Then today I noticed my brakes were grinding. Ran by the other place thinking they would need to fix it since I was just there. Last time it was the back brakes, and this time it was the front. Then they told me that the caliper was stuck and would have to be replaced in addition to the pads and rotors. Something told me to call Bill’s (especially since it was a different issue so it’s not like I “had” to go back to this other place) and run it by there instead. Sure enough, not only did Will call me 3 hours later to tell me he had fit my truck in today after all (thought it would be tomorrow before he could get to it), but the caliper did NOT need to be replaced and only charged me ONE THIRD of the price the other garage had quoted. I swear, I will drive a rental if it comes down to it next time versus letting a little bit of a wait make me go to anyone in Boone other than these folks. They’re fair and trustworthy and they’ve proven that to me over and over again over the last few years.
Great service, very helpful
Always prompt and professional
These guys are amazing!!! They have worked on my car more than a few times...I will continue to use their services and send business their way!
Been here three times, been taken care of excellently each time! I had to get work done on the A-frame, a window, a tire, etc., and each time I was treated very well and the work done was efficient and more than satisfactory. Not only this, the prices are super reasonable and competitive. I recommend all of my friends who need car work done to visit Bills Garage.
Great company fast service
I was traveling alone with my young child. My car wouldnt start due to the starter. They came to hotel within a very short time and towed my car. I was able to work out with them and parts store to have part delivered. They had car repaired before noon same day. They were polite and I was treated with respect. I was very pleased with the cost having called my dealership and already been given a much higher price for the same service.
The serpentine belt and AC compressor went on our Volvo as we drove from Raleigh to Boone. Bills Garage did a great job of taking care of us. They were quick and very fair with the price. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Josh is absolutely amazing! He has now fixed my tire AND my car itself. There’s not many people in the area who can work successfully on BMWs, but I know I can trust him. He even goes as far to show me exactly what’s wrong and how he’s going to fix it. By far the kindest and most trustworthy mechanic I’ve come across.
Called to have my camper moved, the very next day it was done. Also had a hitch installed, great work. Found my new garage.
Went to have radiator checked. They said it was busted and needing replacement.I pay them ~$500 for just a simple radiator replacement for parts and labor.I drive home, and find issues and take it to a local mechanic and my local authorized dealer and came to know thatBills garage:- didnt say a word about a busted leaking transmission cooler line- it could have busted my whole transmission.- didnt say the radiator fan wasnt working- charged me $240 dollars for a $70 radiator- charged me double the cost of a transmission fluid.- didnt return old radiator- saddest of all, didnt tell me that they disconnected and disengaged the air bag sensors. A crash could have killed me.In hindsight I feel they are very unscrupulous. The lady is extremely rude and tries to extort money. The big gentleman is a gentle giant and is more reasonable.Only good thing is they got the supposed repair was done in under a day.Till date I dont know if the radiator was really damaged or not.I think they should stick to towing and fixing flat tires. Anything beyond that is not for them to handle.Google ratings dont lie.im never going back. hope they improve their service. and wish them all the best. hope others have a positive experience.
Out of towners moving my daughter here for school. She locked the keys in her car Saturday morning. They sent someone over to our hotel quickly. C.J. was great, friendly and polite. Had the job done in just a few minutes. Thanks guys, you were a life saver!!
Worst company in Boone. They don’t care about customers or the community they only care about money. They towed my car that was parked in a spot I pay for. So they stole my car and charged me to get it back. This isn’t my first bad experience with bills but it will be my last. Doesn’t matter if I am stuck in snow or my car broke down I won’t every use bills again. They don’t care as you can tell by how they only respond to positive reviews.
There’s a reason for the negative reviews and unfortunately I had to learn the hard way....I took my Subaru to them to have a new timing belt kit installed (per their recommendation for preventative maintenance ) with 93K miles. After a $600 bill I had to take it back 3 times to get the oil leaks fixed! 8K mile later the NEW timing belt BROKE causing over $2000 in repairs (obviously not by Bill’s Garage). NO OFFERS TO HELP OUT WITH REPAIRS AFTER YEARS OF BUSINESS... Do yourself a favor and find a competent & respectable mechanic!!
First night of visit to area and truck was stuck in mud at top of a mountain. Professional, polite, and well priced service. On the scene within an hour. Very happy with service.
I am from Virginia visiting Boone NC. They did unlocked my car, even it was on the night of weekend. Very fast (came in 5 mins after your call), professional service and reasonable price! I am very appreciated that! Highly recommend for car problems & emergency in Boone area
So, Ive had two encounters with Bills that have been fantastic!! First I had a flat and needed roadside assiatance, they were prompt and Danny was very customer oriented. Then about a week later, I needed a tow to Mr. Tire because of a belt issue. Again, prompt service. And Danny was there again with his friendly smile and assistance. I highly recommend these folks for their down home service and focus on the customer!
I had to have an abandoned car towed off of personal property. Bills Garage was easy to deal with; they knew exactly how to advise me on city rules and regulations for this kind of tow. They were straight forward and honest. I would definitely recommend them!
Bills Garage is a great business. They are fast, friendly and reliable. We had to have our car towed and they also worked on it. They were very reasonable in their charges and went out of their way to assist us.
Had to get my running truck unlocked. Allen was here within 15 minutes and had the truck open in less than 5 minutes. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Very pleased.
Service was excellent, quick and the staff was the best Ive ever received anywhere.
Was disappointed with service my camper was not level when parked and wanted to charge extra to come back and level it which should have been done when they dropped it.
I needed a tow after my vehicle crapped out during move in weekend at ASU. They (I believe the driver was Will) responded quickly and was highly professional in getting the vehicle to the dealership without scalping me on cost. Thank you! I hope I dont need your service again, but if I do, I know who to call!
Staff were all super helpful and friendly, will definitely be bringing my vehicle back next time it needs anything!
Great company and Joshua is awesome and very knowledgeable of his job!!! Highly recommend Bills Garage! And Josh is a great guy and hard working!!
I was worried that having my daughter take her car someplace for repair would be a nightmare, but the crew at Bill’s Garage took great care of her and her car. Kevin and I spoke and he told me what the problem was, how much it would cost and how long it would take to fix. I would highly recommend them.
Josh knew what he was doing and did a great job! I recommend going to bills garage of Boone excellent service.
Awesome guys to work with. Got the job done quickly, right and only charged what was necessary. Ill be going back when I need to.
I got a flat tire and did not know how to change it so I called Bills Garage. I waited over an hour for them to show up so I gave in and tried doing it myself. I called several times to cancel but no one answered. I was practically done, I was just screwing in the final bolts to hold my spare tire and sure enough they finally show up. He screws the bolts in for me and then tries to charge me 45$ for it. We had a heated argument and I finally gave up and paid him 45$ to screw in 3 bolts after waiting an hour and failing at trying to get them to answer my calls. As a college student that is a lot of money. I was so mad I couldnt see straight. Legally I feel like they stole from me because it is not my fault they did not answer my phone calls.
There are a ton of bad reviews on here which sucks because theyre not the ones calling in the towing stuff, theyre the ones that show up and just do their jobs. I got towed today for parking outside of River Street Ale House and not going into Cornbread tactical RIGHT AWAY. Its not Bills garages fault I got towed, its whoever called it in because they thought it was a violation. The guy picked up right away when I called, and was super nice and informative. They have some witty signs up in their shop about whining, its just an honest business. Its costly, but so is any towing company. Please be nice to these guys its their job. The real issue is the price gouging of property in this garbage town, not the towing company. Please think before you trash the wrong business.
Great repair shop and professional wrecker operators. Would recommend to anyone needing roadside assistance.
BEST towing princess in this town, and they are fast. and The staff was very friendly . I didnt feel like I was getting towed off. haha Like the other places that tow can make you feel.
It’s incredibly predatory the way this garage operates. Milking what little money they can off college students just to go steal their car and charge them for it. The town of Boone and the university really need to look at parking, because right now it feels like they have a system in place now to rip more money from the wallets of college students.
Fast service and honest guys. Best shop in town.
Great service and a great group of employees. Im very happy with the service they provided with my new tires and they will continue to get my loyalty and Ill be sure to recommend them to my friends and family!
Towed out of my own parking lot TWICE in two days after my parking pass that I paid $100 conveniently “disappeared” twice in two days. Hope you enjoy the $200, you’re scumlord extortionist trash.
Needed to get my car and myself from Boone to Hickory ASAP. Called and they sent someone within 10 minutes. Staff is very friendly and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a towing service in Boone.
I dont understand why everyone is complaining about being towed. Its Boone and no parking or will be towed signs are everywhere. Bills Garage is just doing their job. Take it up with the city, they are the ones making and enforcing the rules.I have never had any issues with vehicle repairs/tows or the employees. I get great service, treated with respect and fair deals. ALWAYS. They are a family owned business and have always treated me like family.
Nice people and dont rip you off.
Yeah believe all the reviews about them being an awful shady business. Was towed from my own parking lot at 1 in the morning. This is not first Ive had trouble with this company. They towed me out of a ditch once and charged me an absolutely unbelievable fee to do so and messed up my car in the process. Avoid if humanly possible.
Possum who drives the tow truck is very professional and very friendly. Kevin is very friendly also. They all went out of their way to get my Mustang back up and running.
On December 8, 2017, my front wheel drive minivan slid off the side of the road during inclement weather. Although I was only on the side of the road, I was near a creek and was nervous to try to back the van up in fear of it sliding into the creek. Instead of risking it, I called Bill’s. The woman who answered the phone was very nice, said it would be about 45 minutes and someone arrived well before the 45 minute timeframe. The tow truck driver struggled to get my car out and I was very concerned that something was going to get busted from what he was doing. I asked him if he was messing my vehicle up and he assured me he wasn’t and that he thought it looked ridiculous the first time he saw this done too.Eventually he got me out. I was less than a mile from my house and I asked him if he would follow me to my house because sometimes I couldn’t make it up my road. He did, I paid him and it was about $80 for the tow and tip. I didn’t drive until the next week.On Monday, I had to drive again to get to work. I noticed the van was out of alignment. That made sense because of all the pulling the driver did on my car. I called Idol’s and they quickly got me in for an alignment. After trying to align the van, the mechanic called me back and asked if something had happened to the van. I told him that I had slid off the road and was towed. He said that the van could not be aligned because something was bent. Idol’s said that they could get shims to make it align, but it wasn’t solving the problem. (I was traveling to Ohio in the morning and needed the van to work.)My brother-in-law owns a tire shop in Ohio so we called for guidance. He said it sounds like a bent axle and we should take it back to Bill’s because they have insurance to cover things when this happens. My husband took the van to Bill’s who said that nothing was bent and he’d have it aligned by Kelly Tire. We also learned that the driver who had towed my van had already been fired for something unrelated.I picked the van up and paid $150 for and alignment and a camber kit that they said were broken off the van. I had 2 concerns at that point: 1. Why would Idol’s say something was bent and they couldn’t align it without shims and Bill’s is saying nothing is bent and 2. Why am I paying to replace something that Bill’s broke. Bill’s staff told me that they don’t like Idol’s and that they couldn’t prove that their guy broke the camber; they could have just worn out. You know, it wore out right where the driver attached his straps? They also indicated that since they weren’t there and they fired the guy who was, they couldn’t prove that anything they did messed the van up. However, earlier they asked me who towed me, they stated that they weren’t surprised the driver messed my van up.I will say, all this happened in one afternoon and they worked quickly to “align” my vehicle so we could leave for Ohio in the morning. The woman at the front desk was also very nice even when I was telling them how unethical they are. While in Ohio, we took the van to my brother-in-law’s tire shop just to check it out because the entire situation seemed fishy. He did find a bent axle. He said that the van was “fixed” in a way to make it feel aligned while you’re driving, but the back tire was bent in and it would wear my tire down very quickly. He was able to replace the axle for $300+.At this point, I’m furious at Bill’s because from my perspective he either lied or is incompetent and in the end paid over $500 for them to pull my car off the side of the road. I called Bill’s to speak to the owner to let him know what happened and to let him know of my plans to write a review and get his final side of the story. He stated that my axle wasn’t bent and that he provided exceptional customer service by quickly getting the van “fixed” and covering part of the cost of the camber kit and alignment. I informed him that he in fact did not fix my van, but covered up the fact that the axle was broken. He does not believe that to be true.
If there were negative stars-this is what they would get. My daughter was parked LEGALLY with a messed up parking sticker. Spoke with WILL at garage and even though he was told she was legal by rental agency-he would not reduce or remove any towing charges. They are off to target and profit by students at APP State. I even called the Boone police department to complain and see how we can move forward. This is not how you manage a company Will-you said you went to college and although you used the word unfortunately and sticker repeatedly-I suggest you go back to school.
Just want to say thanks for all yall helpAnd I recommend yall any day
My daughter went to visit a friend at Highland Woods in Boone, she asked the office where the visitors spaces were and was shown where to park. Shortly after, Greg from #BillsGarage appeared and began to hook her car to the tow truck. She asked why and he said that she was illegally parked, she told him that she was told to park there by the office. He told her that she had to pay him $25 cash, or $100 later after being towed. Being a student she did not have the cash. I told her to go to the apartment office to verify if the spot was visitor, but he would not let her go to the office, I then told her to call the police. Greg was also stating that her friend who was parked next to my daughters car was illegally parked and required $25 from him as well. I called Bills Garage and was told by the woman who answered that she could see what was happening and that he could accept credit cards. She also insisted that my daughter was not parked in the visitor spot. Magically he all of a sudden accepted a credit card payment, and decided not to collect $25 from the other car.Not happy about paying $25, what a racket.!! Extortion!
My truck broke down on the side of Rich Mnt Road. I called Bills Garage for a tow the driver was there in 30 Min when he was hooking up to my truck I asked him if they would be able to lock my truck up in side for the weekend because I had the bed of my truck full of clothes electronics, basically all of my valuables and belongings. I wanted to make sure that it would be in out of the weather and locked up where people could not get to it. I even said if you cant I will come back and get everything on my brothers trailer. I was told that that would not be necessary as they would be able to lock it up in side no problem. I come to pick it up on Monday they said it was ready to go, when I get there it is parked out side in the parking lot where it had set all weekend in the rain during a huge thunderstorm we had everything I own is ruined, and all they could say was it was supposed to have been put in side. What the hell, stay away from this business because they will not do what they say they will do and it will cost you more money in the long run.
I was out on 105 with some friends going for a swim in the river. I had parked in that lot at least 8 times with no issue and never noticed any signs stating I could not do so. Came back this time to find that my car was gone and I noticed a small sign on a light post that had to have been posted recently. Keep in mind we were hiking and swimming down in the river so I had nothing but my keys on me. After borrowing someones phone I was told by the office staff there that it was not their problem I was six miles away from their office and I should probably get walking or hitch if I wanted to make it there before close. Luckily the woman whose phone I was using was nice enough to give me a ride. It was $80 for the tow, which was completely non negotiable. The office staff were very rude throughout the whole interaction. This is a predatory business that thrives by taking advantage of college students and young people who dont have much money to begin with. Would rate lower if I could.
You can trust these folks to treat you and your car right!
Took very good care of me and my subaru. Very cost friendly
Not only did this shop tow me from where I was parked at my apartment (granted my pass was expired for 8 days -- I didnt know it was required of us to get it renewed), two days after my car was towed, it stopped working. Completely. It seems eerily coincidental that my car broke down just days after being taken by Bills Garage. I paid $100 to get my car back (I live less than a mile away) and the man who took my payment with a fat dip in his mouth told me that hed probably tow my car again by the end of the night. I was friendly and kind while crying my eyes out and he was awful and hateful. Do yourselves a favor and dont park where youll be towed by this company. Theyre only out to take money from already struggling college kids.
Me and my sister have bought a parking pass for Howard Street Parking and when my sister went to go use the car, it wasnt there. We thought that at first, our parking pass might have fallen and it got towed but when we called the tow company they denied our car was in there lot. Because my dorm was two minutes away from their place, I went over to their lot. I found my car in their lot with the parking pass still on. I talked to the guy who worked there and he said he had no idea who towed it or how it got there because it wasnt in there database. I have strong suspicion that their intent was to take our car and sell it off before anyone notice.
Scam artists. These are unreasonable business people with no sense of fair trading practices. I would not recommend their service to anyone unless you are looking to illegally tow a vehicle owned by someone against whom you hold a grudge. They would gladly tow it regardless of the legal or ethical ramifications, but they’d probably overcharge you.
They towed the car from my work parking lot while I was working. No one was willing to compensate in the slightest. They didnt offer a receipt (not legal) and when we asked they were rude. We asked them again, and they got in our faces and started yelling about crossing lines. Totally erratic and aggressive behavior under the circumstances; probably on meds. 0 out of 10, less than one star, would not recommend. Im not sure why business could not be handled professionally, but Im sure the family reunions are lovely.
Bills garage is always trying to tow my car even when I have a well displayed parking pass. They’ve towed me in the past (I drive a big red suv) and now everytime they see my car parked at app south they try to steal I mean possess my vehicle without even checking to see if I have a proper parking pass. Shame on you bills garage. You are nothing but a bunch of thieves who use Boone’s lack of parking to your advantage.
These people play dirty! They will tow even if you have the correct tag visible. The sooner they go out of business the better for all.
Tow truck driver in white truck ran a red light while texting and speeding through town and almost t-boned me. 7AM July 7th. Get this man off the road.
Wish I could give negative stars. One of the shadiest and scummy businesses Ive ever experienced. The owner is incompetent and when I went to pay my $100 towing fee for a tow a mile down the road, the incompetent owner had no idea how to open Google chrome to even process my payment. As I was pulling out he was also towing a handicapped vehicle into the parking lot.
Bills garage is probably the worst locally owned company in Boone. The only thing that they care about is money. They continuously tow everyone’s cars and give no care in the world. DO NOT give them your business. They don’t deserve it.
Reliable service but $60 for a tow when Im 500ft away from their shop is a bit much.
Got a tow in the middle of the night and they fixed my car the next day. Really awesome people that dont beat around the bush
Bills always does a good job of servicing my vehicle. Never had any problems with repairs.
These people are despicable. I spent 30 minutes arguing with their incompetent tow truck driver who was towing my car away. While I was waiting for the cops to come as I was sitting in front of my car, he threatened to charge me 100.00 every 15 minutes he had to wait. He was a jerk and they are only in business to steal your car and money. Do not take your car to these crooks. They were 1 mile from where they towed me and charged me 100.00. It took them a total of 5 minutes from the time they towed my car to the time they dropped it off at their shop. Thats an appropriate charge. CROOKS!
Wife had a breakdown and I had to call 4 times. Still took almost 2 hours to arrive to change a tire!
My sons CRV left him stranded due to a overheating issue. I had it towed to Bills where they determined it needed a radiator and thermostat. They fixed the cooling problem but when my son started driving it again, it soon developed a transmission leak. I made the 100 mile trip up to Boone to check out the problem. I found a bent transmission line fitting at the bottom of the radiator. And going to that fitting was a transmission cooling line hose that had obviously been cut with a knife. Not a crack or break, but a clean cut down to the metal mesh. In my opinion, this is not a good way to ensure return customers. Do yourself a favor and choose a different service garage.
