They never pick up the phone. No service at all.!

I think this may have been the worst experience of my life. A lady answered screaming at me for no reason at all I’m contacting bbb. 8/17/21 at 8:40 pm that lady should be fired she’s totally insane. I’m a very pleasant person

I think they provide good service. I scheduled a ride to airport at 4.35 am and the cab came to pick me up at 4.40 am. Just a little bit late. Anyway I reached airport on time 🙂

I tried to use this service to get home as I am stuck at work and I called and asked if they were still working because another company that I called has shortened their hours to 7 PM. The person on the phone said that the time of wait would be 45 minutes to an hour but I’ve already been stuck at work for an hour so I was explaining that I was trying to get an Uber or a Lyft and that if I got one of those before they were able to pick me up then I will give them a call back so that they would not come here to get me, and in the middle of my sentence the person cut me off and hung up the phone in my face and then Wouldn’t answer the phone for me again. This would have been my first time using their service. But as it stands now I will never walk walk before I ever pay them to take me anywhere.

DRIVING WITHOUT INSURANCE! I was rear ended by one of the cabs and driver presented an insurance card to officer that I found out later was not valid when I called the insurance company! Have called Red Top asking for owner and left messages - of course no return call. My car is damaged and my insurance will fix but I’m on the hook for $1k deductible. Red Top was 100% at fault and ticketed. Yet I’m paying for damages for your negligence? Be a professional, return my calls and handle your business! You owe me for damages caused by your negligence!

Its not so much the drivers but the person who answers the phone.. he always has an attitude and black listed me for CALLING BACK and canceling a ride one time! out of all the business i had done with them... very rude and unprofessional, hung up in my face. this company is family owned so he clearly thinks he can do whatever he wants with no consequences, even the drivers can attest. its really sad how miserable people can be and how some people try to abuse their power 💯

They came to the rescue in the middle of the night when our flight was changed to a different airport that our car was not at. The driver was very kind and kept our spirits up at the end of a very long travel day.

Very rude and impatient and not understanding at all. They even hung up on me and did not want to listen or help me.

I called for a cab and the man was snarky. He said I would have to watch for the Red Cab because they didnt know where the parking lot was for the airport. Then they asked me if it was by the third door at the airport. Since I dont live here I wouldnt know which door it is. I ended up calling for someone else after waiting no contact then about 10 minutes later he called saying he was there and I needed to look for him. I told him never mind we called somebody else. He said well I didnt send someone out to the airport for you to cancel it.

So incredibly rude ! Called several times and when they finally answered they said we will get you when we get you and then said I gotta go now and hung up. I’m honestly surprised they haven’t gotten shut down yet ! Terrible service !

This is two stars simply for the goid service i have recieved over the last 3 years from Red Top, and the normal gent who answers the phone is a treat, however, I have never been treated so rudely by a dispatcher as i was today at 1115am. I was not rude or short. I understand that we all have busy days in the service industries, I am a hotel supervisor. But this man attitude was out of line to the degree he told me to call someone else and hung up on me for simply asking him a question. So, i will call someone else, i downloaded uber. And Ill be sure to call someone else everytime one of my hotel guests requires a cab as well. Absolutely disgraceful and i wont risk my guests getting that kind of attitude by using your services, even if he isnt the normal dispatcher.

This Cab services is Always doing something slick, never have I heard of being charged an extra .50 if my fair was under 10.00 in all my times of using red top cab services, this was the first & trust me if I hadnt been looking at his phone Id a never known, but he kept his phone down, and thats why I knew he was trying to be slick, bcuz all the other drivers let U see what there charging Ur card!! Watch them some drivers are fair, but some are not! & naturally their going to take up for there drivers! !!! But something has to be done about cab services who take advantage of people! !!!!!!😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

From using Red Top so often for so long, I can honestly say that they overall have great service and will work with you, I know they did wonders for me a few times! I recommend Red Top Cab =D

Junky cars

Granted sometimes you may need to wait, but the Red Top experience is the best way to get home from downtown Bloomington while intoxicated. If you want a cig, they never turned me down. Much better and cheaper than waiting around and paying Uber surge fees. I have turned on many a people to the wonders of Red Top, and will continue to be a huge advocate. God bless

Called another taxi got told 1 1/2 hr wait called red top they were there in 15 minutes and was friendly, courteous and helped with our groceries the drivers name is Christa shes the best !😀

The worst service I have ever experienced. I’ve been to their “office” and the staff was very rude and they were all smoking cigarettes. And continued to keep smoking while there were people in there. One of the drivers is also a theif! So please beware.Very unclean and unprofessional family business, I’ll stick with Uber and Lyft.

Driver of Red Top cab hit a German shepherd (someones beloved pet) this morning 11-5-16 and just kept driving. Witnesses moved deceased dog to side of road. Accidents happen but the fact that the driver never stopped is the issue. Dont use this company.

If you wanna be stuck out here for 2 hours and never get a cab then this is your place to go I would never recommend these people ever

Terrible. I have used this service twice in the last year - on one occasion they were over 40 minutes past the initial pickup time, and the second the driver for a scheduled pickup call showed up five minutes early and then tried charging me for the extra time, then became belligerent with me when i refused to pay for the extra time that I should not have been charged for. Tonight, Im trying to call a cab for a guest at my hotel and theyre literally pretending to be a Dominos Pizza instead. These people are super fly-by-night - my advice is that you walk instead; itll cost you less and youll get there faster.

Called them the night before I needed a ride to the first day of my new job at Country Financial. Told them to be there at 730 and they werent, I called and they said the cab would be there in just a minute, 745 rolls around and they are still not there. I called and they said the cab was finishing another fair and they would send out a new one. I tild them not to bother and that I would be called Lyft instead. I was late on the first day of my new job because of them and I will never be using them again because of it. Thats just poor service and they knew the details.

Horrific experience. Called this disappointment of a taxi cab service 30 minutes prior to the pickup time and was flaked on after nearly an hour of waiting. Don’t waste your time on red top and please get an Uber.

Horrible service. I called them and waited 2 hrs at Kroger store, watching red top cabs just pass by. The cab never came, no one ever called to let me know what was going on. A stranger was nice enough to give me a ride. When I called the company when I got home to ask about my ride they said sorry and hung up on me. I will NEVER suggest this company to anyone.

Red Top Cab Is Thee Worst. This company is ran by a very disgustingly rude family. Dispatcher Amy is very condescending. The cabs are dirty and the have no sense gratitude toward their patrons. In complete contrast Checker cabs are clean, they have short wait times, and the drivers are very respectful. Before you do yourself a disservice, call Checker cab instead.

This place is a joke. I worked there got hit by a girl running a red light. Was in hospital for over a week and bed rest for 6 months not only did they lie to people saying they were helping me with rides and bills. Cause they didnt not one ride. Lost my home and everything. But they refuse to give me my job back. Call anyone else. They will probably run your meter on time and distance to charge you more too. Shady company besides uber amd lyft are a fraction of the cost.

To be honest I am very disappointed about how I was treated yesterday. I ordered a taxi from Olive Street going to North Hershey and there was a long train in the way,so the driver drove all the around to the too bridge knowing that the train will pass through there as well (getting by on extra cash) The driver then told me he will stop the meter do to the inconvenience but he did not, I asked to go to the gas station and Kroger (wasnt in either store 5min) I had to make sure I could pay for the ride so I needed more money. I then proceeded with my journey and then the driver complained about the stops then he literally said On a slower day Id take the round trip but Im not Im thinking like if your getting paid anyways what difference does it make rather you do a round trip with me or take another client. My mother then called the dispatcher and he literally said There is nothing I can do about it,I am just a dispatcher I paid $22.50 for a 12.00 ride I got ripped off and this isnt the first time red top tried to screw me out of money.How sad that you would allow your drivers to be rude to paying customers not to mention the weather conditions were bad I am pregnant and I chose YOUR company out of all the other competitors you have in Bloomington /Normal, IL. You do have a few decent people who drive for your company but your company is so jacked up your poor dispatcher who is usually very kind to me could not or didnt care to help me. Next time Ill go with Uber or checker cab,checker has never ripped me off and they actually fix issues. I am very sorry but I wont be using or recommending you guys for a while and I know a lot of people.

First of all, even though I usually dont rate companies, but I feel people should know how bad the service is. To start with, the receptionist is horrible and rude. Second, the cabs always smell bad and are definitely dirty; and third, they are never on time. If you need a ride, try to make arrangements with a friend, or take Uber...this company is the worst. If I could give no stars I would.
