I would not recommend this place to anyone. I asked for a full-set and a pedicure it was a 30min wait which was not a problem, as a walk-in this is to be expected. So, when I sat down for my pedicure the water was scolding hot after a few tries this was fixed. See attached picture for the out come of that and its not good. So on to the full set I asked for and did not get, there was very little nail prep and a lot of over polishing done. I asked for an almond shape for my nails and even showed a picture of what I wanted, but what I have is some pointy and some oval. I’m not sure how the colors of my nails are so different from my toenails but that the case here.

The man that did my nails was so nice. He gave me some advice on my nails. He did a great job with my fill in. I got my feet painted and a fill in for $35-$40 which wasn’t bad at all. I had on a skirt and he gave me a blanket to cover myself up while I was getting my toes done. Little things like really makes my day and shows that they care about their customers. The customer service was phenomenal. Thank you

I went here to get a pedicure and was horrified by the way the staff acted. For context, my sister had given me a manicure the day before- she’s 16, just got an acrylic kit, and wanted someone to practice on. I obliged, and overall she did a good job. It was free anyway, so I didn’t mind the little mistakes. During my pedicure, the man painting my toenails kept making jabs at the manicure. “I can tell your sister did it, a professional wouldn’t do that.” and “We do acrylics, they look better than that.”. I’m sure all he wanted was to insult my nails so I would feel self conscious and get a manicure while I was there. Never. Coming. Back.

Dianna asked questions to ensure I had a great manicure experience. She also provided advice on how to rid dreaded hang nails. Ill be back for a pedicure.

They all do a good job. I enjoyed being able to go there and not talk just get my nails done and think about what I have to do not to mess them up in the next couple of days. Housework never ends and the dishes never stop coming. And I have gloves but water always manage to get in those gloves.I have to admit that every time Mike do my nails. I am so surprised, because they are so life like. They feel like my nails for real. My nails filled as if they are mine but a healthier version of mine.

I had been here several times pre-covid and it was fine. Most of their techs are very good, some rush and only do a fair job, but they are friendly and you rarely had to wait. I just went on Friday, January 29th for a desperatly needed, very simple mani/pedi with gel polish for both. in and out in 1/2 hour. When I went to pay he said 75.00! For a mani/pedi in a middle of the road, central Illinois nail salon!?!? I said I see you raised your prices to make up for money lost by being closed. Owner Brian replied, We never raise prices since we open. You have gel polish on toes. I told him I had never even paid that price in Minneapolis and felt like I was being gouged. He replied it was the price all around town. Thats BS and he knows it. The prices are NEVER the same there and have always been a bit high, but the job they do 90% of the time was worth it. I will not be back to be ripped off.

I went here today to have pedicure and the service is way off for 30 bucks. I am highly dissatisfied and I wont recommend to any one. I wont go next time. I was twice here before, where they did a pretty good job but today its just worst. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with an explanation while paying, the person said I am sorry for you.Its pathetic that customer service is this awful for a spa station!

The technician did an awful job on both my mani and pedi. First, my pedicure lasted maybe 15 minutes start to finish. He rushed through the entire process and the polish is bubbly and uneven. I asked for a dip powder manicure, and he obviously did not know what he was doing. My nails are all filed unevenly and the polish is all over the place. I was cut on three different fingers and he just kept buffing over the cuts with the drill making them bleed even more. The man did not sanitize his tools even after cutting me. There was no lotion or even cuticle oil. For over $80 there is no way this should be happening. I absolutely will not be back again.

They had to do my child’s nails 2 times the lady didn’t even paint them all the way! I told the guy I wanted mine short and he didn’t listen! They didn’t even paint mine all they way or fully do the acrylic! The owner was very nice and fun but the service wasn’t good l. Won’t be going back there

Staff were very nice and the spa was very clean. Me and my 3 old daughter got a mommy and me pedi. My baby was super happy and the staff were very sweet to her as well. If Im ever in Bloomington IL again I will definitely come back and get services here again!

I had gone to this place years ago, still a great experience. Brian is such a great guy & so is his staff, ONLY disappointing thing I can say is, they do not cut all the dead skin away from your nails. This will NOT stop me from going back.

This salon offers manicures, pedicures, and artificial nail sets and fills. They are friendly and work quickly. Their price range is comparable to the other spas like this in town. The pedicure baths are very modern, they even have colored lighting. Everyone is friendly. They will only accept cash tips.

The owner creates such a fun atmosphere and the nail technician I had did a wonderful job. I came in as a walk in for a pedicure and manicure. They got me in within 15 minutes. I already had a design for my toes that was a little complex. Even though the technician had not done it before, and was a little unsure, she did a perfect job. I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

I was here for an appointment and they only had two people for the four of us that were scheduled. I had a pedicure and manicure. Water was cold for pedicure but other than that it was nice. During my manicure, I was cut twice to where I was bleeding and it would not stop. The manicure only ended up lasting 2 days and they did not even apologize for cutting me so badly.

Go every single time I need my nails done and they always go above and beyond to make sure I am happy.

While the technicians were friendly and welcoming, the cleanliness of the salon left much to be desired! The trashcans had layers of dust on them and some of the nail stations were unclean!!Most disturbing is that they did NOT disinfect the soaking tubs after each customer, and the instruments were not sealed in a autoclave bag, so how does one know if they were truly clean!! When I mentioned not cleaning the basins after each customer I was told they clean at the end of the day!!!Sorry, this was our first and last time going to this salon.

If not the worst then close to it. Rude tech. Asked for very short nails he hardly filed them. Polish doesnt even cover nails. And my fill...lol one broke the next day. They didnt even carry pink tinted polish for French...or at least thats what the rude jackass told me. And all this for $51. Dont bother there are so many other places.

They got me in last minute even though other places wouldn’t at 530pm on a Tuesday. The guy Mike that did my mani/pedi took his time & did a great job.

Nice little nail salon. Oriental staff, of course, and they do try to upsell you, but theres no pressure. They do a satisfactory pedicure at a reasonable price.

I will never go back there again! Although the staff was extremely friendly, I was grossed out by the technician doing my nails. First of all, I did not see him change the towel after the customer before me. Second, his fingernails were long and filthy dirty-black underneath his nails, and didnt wash his hands before beginning my manicure. Third, he didnt open any clean packages of utensils. After he was done with the used utensils, he put a cap on them and put them back in the basket. When he was completely finished with my manicure, he picked up the used towel that he also used on me, shook it out, and laid it back down for the next customer. I went with my daughter and she had a similar experience. Her technician killed a spider that ran out from under the nail dryer, wiped it away with his hand, then didnt bother washing his hands before starting on her manicure. Needless to say, neither of us will be going back. I gave it only 1 star due to their terrible hygiene!

Was not happy with who did my nails, I was trying to grow my nails out and the gentleman doing my nail cut them all off!!!.. I was so mad and it was too late to say anything sadly the deed had been done.. Usually if I go somewhere they ask what length I prefer and how I want them shaped - he shaped them the way he wanted them shaped.. will not return

Terrible experience. The owner did my color change and watched a movie while taking off my polish. At one point he was so engrossed in the movie he was actually rubbing my toes and not my nails, which I pointed out to him. He left old polish on three of my nails and when I got home I realized he missed a good part of the nail on three of my toes. Luckily I brought my own polish so I could redo those toes. Oh, and while I was drying he took a phone call from someone else complaining about their pedicure.

They do good work. The salon is clean and they have multiple chairs so not a long wait. Associates are nice and make light conversation. Only thing is they need more of color selection and I felt a little rushed.

I used to like them but their quality and detail has really declined. I went for a pedicure and a full set and its terrible! The pedicure was $30 and the tech did not do a good job and burned me with the hot rock. My full set is also terrible because he did nothing to my cuticles to ensure they looked polished and blended with the nails and the tech did not put enough acrylic on the tips because 2 of my nails were still flexible. Overall a complete waste of money!!!

I would not recommend this place. I was scheduled for a $30 gel manicure. Not only was i in the establishment for less than 30 min but almost every nail had air bubbles and the gel overlapped my cuticles...which I know is the reason gel tends to lift around the edges. He wasnt even going to tend to my cuticles until I requested this...when I asked them to confirm what was included in a manicure service...cuticle trimming was included. He never attempted to fix any of the 6 nails with air bubbles nor did he even think it was an issue. I receive manicures bi weekly and this service was the worst by farI waited longer for some one to service me for payment than I did receiving the actual services..when i told the gentleman collecting my payment him how I felt about the service I asked HIM HOW HE felt and he agreed they needed to be fixed ...I told him i didnt feel like i should pay 30 dollars for a 20 min service and air bubbles in over half of my nails . All in all I will be returning to my regular shop at Galaxy nails for quality service.They did discount my service and I paid 15 dollars and threw lots of shade my way

The salon was very clean. But as others described, I had a similar issue. I was gotten in quickly and did appreciate that however as I was getting my full set the nail technician was also giving a no chip mani to someone else. Needless to say in 6 days my nails are chipping and breaking. Ive NEVER had nails break in less than a week.

Usually I don’t feel inclined to share bad experiences but this place is the exception. I went in for a pedicure and a gel fill. Everything was fine for the pedicure but when I went for the gel fill the guy, Shawn literally was telling me how terrible my previous nail job was (I go to the same place when I’m back home). He then was just complaining about me the entire time about how I kept lifting my fingers up. Okay???? Sorry it’s a natural reflex???? It’s YOUR job????? Then I went to pay and I used my capital one credit card. The charge went through immediately because I get a notification on my phone. I said I didn’t need a receipt and Brian, the owner said thank you and I walked out. HE THEN CAME OUTSIDE AND SAID MY PAYMENT DIDN’T GO THROUGH. I was like yes it did I already for a notification I got charged. He was like “oh lol ok sorry”. Like how embarrassing. I’ll never go back and will discourage anyone from going here.

I went here twice and while the people are friendly and the salon is clean and nice, the work is not as good as at other salons that are cheaper. I had two different nail techs the times I went and they both left a significant space between the cuticle and the end of the paint. If your nails grow fast like mine this means by the end of week one you either have to go get a new mani or clean off the polish since they look outgrown at that point. The third time I went they were too busy so I drove over to Solace (near Cub Foods). The mani there was only $10 (vs. $15 at Nail Trix) and the nail tech there was EXTREMELY meticulous! My nails look great and since she was able to paint as close as possible to the cuticle (w/o getting paint on it) I will be able have nice nails for at least two weeks!

I go these all time vary pleaded I gave them 5 star because never had pormble.

WORST Manicure & Pedicure ever!!!!I thought of having Meni n Pedi before the long weekend today and considering the location and reviews I went at this place. It turned out a total disaster.. so uneven nails and weird filling and clumsy nail paint, which do not dry at all even after 2 hours.I hate it and feel sorry for me for wasting $40. Incompetent staff and few weird male staff member doing manicure with no sense of nail shaping.

I have been going to Nail Trix for 10+ years, but today’s trip will be my last. I came in for a pedicure. My toenails were all cut unevenly, the bottoms and sides of my feet were not scrubbed at all, and nail polish was all over my skin. They painted over the messy first attempt and never offered to discount my pedicure or provide me with an actual pedicure.
