I was on a business trip and realized my nails looked a bit worn. I was staying at the JW Marriott so researched local nail salons. I read the reviews for LA Nails with mixed thoughts. I decided to give it a try and requested Kevin. I’m very fussy and wouldn’t usually dream of going to anyone but my local lady (using her for ten years), but I won’t be home for a while. Kevin was superb! I pointed out the style that I wanted and with little discussion, he created beautifully perfect nails! Neat and short and well shaped! I highly recommend!!Side note, they do charge extra for what I consider inclusions—specific nail shaping (e.g., stiletto or coffin) and cut-downs. All in all—worth it!!!

Worst job ever and was charged $74 bucks!! Unbelievable!! Felt like I was being rushed! Very disappointed!!

Great pedicure. Did the deluxe pedicure without gel. It was relaxing and wonderful and didn’t take up too much time, it was about 35 min total which was perfect. Color looks great, nail artist was great. I would come back.

They got me in right away and Mani Pedi were quick.

I love the new CDC standard updates, this place was already a clean environment... Spent $60 on a too-thick on my nails dip manicure that chipped the next day

Went there for the first time to celebrate my 12 year old daughter. Was very disappointed with my gel manicure. After only 3 days my nails started to create dents! Then started to peal back! I paid $67 dollars and gave a generous tip. My daughters nails took all of 30 minutes to do and she made her sit under the dryer for OVER AND HOUR! I get my nails done regularly and decided to try a new place. I won’t be back. How can you mess this up!

Do not go here!!!!! THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST TERRIBLE PEDICURE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. In the chair the water was cold. She didn’t clip my nails. She mildly filed them. There was no massage. She didn’t even lotion my feet or legs. I was in the chair 10 minutes before she announced she was done. The paint job was terrible. I said no- this is not ok. As she walked me under over to the dryer. And then she put me back in the pedi chair and butcher my feet even further. 3 people in the span I was there left abruptly because these people are terrible at what they do- and had the nerve to charge me 42 dollars!!!!

I didnt have an appt, but she got me right in. I got a nail service Deluxe with the two different kinds of cream massage followed by a hot towel. It was luxury. Recommend it highly.

He also styled my gel pedicure and I am very happy with how it turned out!Hien completed my gel manicure with care to ensure satisfaction! They do not take time in their work whatsoever. They rush so much. Also, when they used the drill they were very careless and cut me multiple times.

My husband and I were on our babymoon and happy to find a salon to take us both in for pedicures on a Saturday, but I almost wish they had turned us away instead of rushing to cram us in. They were very pushy with up charges, and kept insisting that extra services be done after we kept saying no thanks. They were also very expensive with just basic things. For cost, I did a standard manicure instead of gel, which I know lasts longer, but this was a Saturday, and it’s now Monday and more than 3 of my nails are chipping off. I have been covering them up with color street nails I had brought with me. I did end up with gel on my toes, simply because they only offered us gel colors and then after the fact told me it was gel and it would cost more. Last but not least, my technician literally stood right next to me when I paid the guy at the counter and then waited while I was giving him our tips to take them both from me. Tacky. Not the greatest experience I’ve ever had.

May 5, 2020, I went to the nail salon for a coffin full set. As soon as I came in I was asked for the service that I desired. Later I sat in the chair and barely had the tips glued onto my finger nails and was asked to pay immediately after that (Before my service was finished). It made me uncomfortable, but I just paid and moved on. Once I was in the second chair I noticed three different white women (separate women, they did not come together) finish drying their nails. They were asked to pay after they were finished. I was in the middle of getting my nails done and didn’t want to ruffle my day so I just let it be what it was. However, I will never go back to this nail salon. It was clear that they made me pay upfront because I am black. I wanted to believe that that wasn’t the case, but after I noticed three white women paid AFTER they were finished with their services - I had to accept the truth.Outside of that, the service wasn’t spectacular. Not even a few days later one of my nails broke. Popped right off while I was FOLDING A BLANKET. So, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything special anyway.

Despite the negative reviews, I had a great experience. Tina did an excellent job on my manicure. Yes they are a little pricey, but that’s the price you pay for convenience.

Id give zero stars if I could. Bad service. Uneven nails. She even slapped my hand when I didnt answer a question right away because I needed to think for one second. Will not be going back.

Kay did my full set. She really took her time to make sure I liked everything from the color to the shape I would give her 5 starts. She’s creative yet professional my only concern was that she made me show her boss my nails after the service then the price was determined (which made the reason for 3Star review) I was a little caught off guard when she said 160 and of course I had to tip. Nice nails just expensive.

So I was in a hurry plus it was late and they had me in and out in no time... I needed help clipping and shaping due to pain around tips. The lady cleaned my nails and glossed them up perfectly. May make it a regular thing to avoid my hack-jobs. Haha! Friendly as well.

The tech who did my pedicure was very friendly & had good customer service, but the end result was NOT worth the money. Way too overpriced for the quality of work. Unevenly cut/filed, messy paint job..My 3 year old could’ve painted my toes better. I will not be returning

This is the second times I came to this Salon, my first time was the first day the Mall of America reopened 6/10/20, my nails stayed on the whole month, no chips, no lifts, I got so many compliments on my nails, And one thing I love about this Salon is: super clean, Im all about hygiene and with this crazy pandemic we need to be more careful... I noticed they used all new and clean equipment, it makes me feel very comfortable. And my nails turned out very beautiful, the nail tech who did my nail was very polite and her name is Twa. I will definitely come back again and again.

I went to this nail salon on Friday the 25th and today, the 29th one of my acrylic nails broke! After less than a week- nails I spent $69 on broke!! My nail technician barley spoke to me even when I asked her questions, its safe to say I wont be returning to this overpriced salon.

I have been going here for 5 years and only go to Tina! She is the BEST she listens to my needs, takes her time and makes sure that my shape and quality of nails are perfect. If you go there request her.

My nail technician continued to nag to me about getting gel nail polish until I agreed, I picked a light pastel color as it looked completely opaque on the dummy nail. The nail polish was chunky, see through, and balled up on the end of my nails. The coffin shape I wanted was 10$ extra on my set so I opted to a “free” shape as 59$ was a bit pricy for a 3 star nail salon. After my nails were done I realized I had gel chunks and acrylic chunks all over my cuticles and hands. 100% would not recommend take your money elsewhere.

Highly recommend!! I got my pedicure here and the women there are so nice. And my pedi lasted for at least 3 weeks. Which is amazing because Im on my feet all day for work! Very impressed.

Finally had the pleasure of service from L.A. Nails. They did a great job on everything! Staff was attentive and friendly. Clean and lovely environment. Reasonable prices! I almost didnt want it to end.

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to make the trip. What a great experience! The owner/manager is also very nice and accomodating. And gave me tips on taking care of my cuticles. Wished that my nails could be this long naturally! I consider myself the pickiest person ever :)I have been calling in before coming in and will continue to do so.

Do not go to this place! They were incredibly rude to my daughter, and if it wouldnt have embarrassed her I certainly would have said a thing or two. Theres no need to treat anyone like this, much less a child!!

It is a typical mall salon. There is not a dedicated clientele. I would rank it very average they do not go above and beyond but the bottom line is they don’t have a steady clientele so I don’t think they care

In short of my experience; over priced, unprofessional, rude, and sloppy work. Not just on my nails but on all my party members. One of my girls nails was cut too short and bleed not once but twice, everyones nails are uneven in length and size, and the design are so ugly not what was asked of. I give them a ZERO rating.

Should have listened to reviews.... no more than left the store and came home to chipped gel.... isnt that the point of gel is that they wont chip? Have NEVER had that problem anywhere else... very unhappy $65 later..... wow

I have had the best experience with L A NAILS. The new owner has enhanced everything about the place! They were the mellifluous girl. Sometimes, they asked until I said ok! When I does gets cool enough the color change is pretty awesome. They have made a loyal customer out of me. And my experience here was well worth.

My mother and I got no-chip manicures 2 weeks ago and our nails still look nice! The staff was so nice. I had a great conversation with my nail tech. We loved our nails and we will be going back when we are back in town.

The lady that did my nails was ridiculing me about how short my nails are but thats just because i have a bad habit of chewing on them. i got my nails done last saturday and my nail polish already chipped off of my nail im very disappointed and the lady was not very nice when she was doing my nails i def will never go back here ever again and i do not recommend it. It was also too over priced im probably gonna go get them redone somewhere else

First, the prices are misleading. It says 42$ for acrylics, but when I told her the shape I wanted it went up to 70$. Then, as I was getting them done and she was using the electric filer, it hurt! A lot! And it shouldnt. And when she put alcohol on it it burned. Then, when she was doing the powder it was soo lumpy and uneven it is not even funny. My nails are so lumpy right now. Dont go here

The nail tech i had was very nice, but my nails were literally all crooked. I asked for a coffin shaped nail, and not one of my nails turned out even. They all look like theyre slanting to the right side. Also my right index finger, she glued the tip on, saw it was slanted and tried to fix it. She literally pulled on the tip to try and make it move straight, but the glue was dry and she ended up ripped part of the nail tip. Instead of take it off and using a new one, she just glued the ripped part back together. On top of that, I had to go through 7 different color options before she found one that was usable and wasnt dried up. She asked how they looked and I said theyre okay since by the time I noticed it as too late to change them. $65 later, Im walking out with crooked nails and now I am going back today to get them fixed somewhere else because I cant stand them. I will not be returning and I definitely wouldnt recommend this place.My friend I was with also got her nails done and she just got a basic french full set, and hers were crooked too.UPDATE: I went to another tech at a different salon and he said some of the nails weren’t put on properly and there was a gap in between the acrylic and the actual nail and if I hadn’t gotten them fixed it could have molded between the nails from moisture! Do not go here!

My gel manicure was great! Its been almost two weeks and still looks good, hasnt chipped and the nail shape looks good, polish still shiny! Will be coming back soon!

I had a very nice visit with Tina today. Such a difference between her (very professional) and the last place I went to get my nails done. Prices are about average and what I would expect for getting gel fills. She took care to not hurt me and get the right length and shape I wanted. I will be coming here from now on for my nails!

I rarely write review but my experience was so good, that I felt I need to share. We were recently in town for a few days, I needed to have my fill and pedicure real bad. I found LA nails located inside the mall, I decided to stopping in and had my nails done while my daughter went shopping. The nail tech is so patient, nice and polite, she did a great Fill and pedicure, from the scrub, the paint to the shape is beautiful. I paid $100 plus tip ($45 for gel fill and $55 gel pedicure). Yes, it is a little more costly than at home, but you should expect to pay for the services in this giant Mall. Definitely recommend!

They didn’t even let my friend choose the size of the nails she wanted, this was her first time. She asked the lady if she could get them longer & she said no. Why would she say that she the one paying for them ? She was very rude. Her cousin was also bleeding because they filed too much. Her nails were regular acrylic & very short, & they were 65 dollars. Way too over priced & not professional. Stay away

My gel manicure was decent, I have definitely had better. My technician was nice. However, after I picked my color she spent most of her time trying to convince me to choose another color. I ended up picking a different one after feeling so pressured and I hate it. Gel Manicure was also over priced at $40. Will most likely not be returning.

Great service, mani/pedi. Kind of expensive ($69 for mani/pedi, no acrylic) but kind of expected at the Mall.

Expect hidden fees. Getting a different shape other than square is $10, getting cuticles done is $10, etc. The nail technician did a wonderful job though, but left me wondering if $75 is really worth it for gel nails.

Lord have mercy, they’re bad. And I think I had one of the better ones do my nails. $19 for a simple change of toenail color and she couldn’t even get that right. Sloppy work and uneven filing. The only good thing about it was that we had good banter and that is what I tipped $5 for (I was in a good mood). I also asked her to fix what I wasn’t happy with and she hastily agreed. It should be $10 for a change of toe color and $5 for fingernails

Business hours are incorrect

The store was quite dirty and run down, the pedicure chairs were falling apart and they only had one remote to share between all the chairs. When they filled up the water for my feet it was cold and dirty. A lot of dead skin was floating in the water and it was obvious it had not been properly cleaned in a long time, disgusting. I hardly got my feet rubbed and left with the same dead skin I arrived with. The person doing my nails seemed to be very slopping and did not care at all. Only one coat was applied and now, two days later its completely rubbing away. The coat that was applied was smudged and bubbling before I even got to the drying station. The person got red nail polish all over my feet and never cleaned it. To sum it up I do not recommend this nail salon. It was completely disgusting and horrible quality. I had an awful experience, and I have paid much less for pedicures that were a million times better.

This may have been the most uncomfortable experience of my life...I was welcomed to the salon by a nice lady at the front desk, we agreed on a $30 French manicure on my natural nails, no gel. She sent me over to a table and told the woman what I had selected.I sat down with a lady who tried to sell me the gel polish three times, then clipped off two of my long nails completely because she was confused and thought I wanted acrylics, even though the front desk lady told her what I was getting. She also had roughed up the tops of all of my nails, I’m guessing that is also for acrylics? I have no idea. When I stopped her she said she could fix it, then tried to sell me gel polish AGAIN and said she would give me $5 off because she cut off my nails on accident. Which I declined. Again. I was then told because she was painting my nails I had to pay ahead of time, so I paid $30 and gave her a $5 tip. She then painted my nails, terribly, leaving the roughed up tops underneath clear polish, and the white tips crooked and patchy. We finished up, and after I inspected them and realized how bad they were I asked a different front desk women for a managers contact information and she said she was the manager. I explained the situation and she sat me down and offered to fix them. However then the woman who did my nails in the first place was brought up, shown all the mistakes, I got super uncomfortable while she was being talked to and decided to leave. When I got up to leave the woman trying to help me grabbed my arm, and I literally had to flat out tell her to let go of me because she had a grip on me. It was so awkward and uncomfortable, I practically sprinted out of that place. And my nails still suck....

They were nice but tried upsellig you most of the time and asked over and over even when you had said no. Also they are way way over priced. Good nails but you can get good nails done for less $.

First off they charged me $10 extra for the shape I wanted which they told me in the first place, but if you’re going to charge extra you should at least know how to do the shape. The acrylic wasn’t completely covering my nails so I had to ask her to go back over the sides. Her filing was also terrible and I had to tell her she was hurting me after she was clearly making my cuticles bleed. I’m in town visiting but I see I’m definitely spoiled with my nail salon. Overall overpriced for the service you receive.

I have never written a review before but was so shocked that I thought I should warn folks. The lack of sanitation was shocking and I almost left after I sat down in a broken chair. The shop is in bad shape...very dirty and run down. I dont think they sanitized the nail tools before they used them. Save your money and go somewhere else. By far the worse pedicure I have ever gotten. Wish I would have known.

If I can rate no stars I would.Way over priced for what they actually do! They rush you to pick a color rush to get work done was also rough and rude when I told them no gel nails she became aggressive with my little sister in laws hands. Rushed me to pay when I wanted to wait til my party was done together to see results then tell me I needed to pay for myself right then and there. Then come back to me to tell me it’s going to be more money after I already paid what they said. Save your money and go elsewhere too much of a hassle and try to take your money.

The place was OK... but I felt it was too expensive for the service I received and she did not do a gif job of scrubbing my feet ... the whole point of a pedicure in my opinion. They are rough with lots of dry skin still. I wish i had my pedi file with me in the hotel to scrub some more myself.

First time doing my nails here and I had a very bad experience. The lady who was doing my nails was very rough on my nails. It seemed like she was doing it on purpose because I was speaking in my own language as she was to her fellow co-worker. When she was cutting my cuticles she pulled on them as she clipped them, which concluded with 2 of my fingers to bleed on the edges. No, I’m not picky and I’m not rude, but this was really the first time I thought someone was doing my nails badly on purpose. She was an older lady, maybe the owner maybe not. I was charged $65 for my nails that are not even all equal in shape, as she didn’t compare both my hands side to side to check them. I am greatly disappointed with the overall price I was charged and the service I received.

I had my first visit here about 5 weeks ago after a very disappointing trip to another salon 2 weeks before that in Hudson, Wi. My nails, although needing a fill are still amazing. My last ones were horrible within 2 weeks and were lifting at the base and pulling strands of my hair out. I live an hour or so away from here and this will be the only place I go. I cant wait til next week when I get to go get them done again. The people were beyond great and so friendly. They were clean and comfortable. I can not say good things about this place.

If you just have to get your nails done in the Mall of America Id suggest you choose another place. My manicure experience wasnt bad, but my gel polish started cracking and changing colors just 3 days later. When I returned to get them fixed, I was asked to pay again. =/ I get gel polish regularly so I know how long it should last - definitely longer than 3 days. The manager wasnt a jerk about it, but I found it very disappointing that he wouldnt fix my nails at no cost. I had just paid for a full manicure AND tipped only a few days before. His only resolve was that if it happened again, I could come back and get them fixed for free. -___- I dont live in MN, but even if I did, who has time to make multiple trips to the nail salon for a manicure that should have been done right the first time? Not a good show of customer service or professionalism in my opinion.

Very disappointed. They are very expensive for the area. We stopped in because we had been shopping all day at Mall Of America and thought it would be easy to get our nails done there. $45 for just a basic pedicure. Nothing like a scrub on your feet or anything. Too Expensive and not nice customer service at all.! Dont recommend it at ALL!

I did my nail here a couple of months ago. It was my first nail exprience. The lady who did my nail left my fingers with couple of cuts. When she was putting these clear liquid on the cuts it hurted so much. I see that she did notices that she did cutted my finger but didnt give much attention to it(it was bleeding). Overall she did a good job except my right pointing finger was uneven. She didnt speak much and will slightly hit my hand and point to the nail machine. I dont know if thats how youre supposed to treat your customers but I was satisfied with my nails. I wouldnt go back though its pricy and I was quit mad because I had so many cuts on my fingers.
