I just recently moved in and had a great experience. This building is (at least the tower, the 8 story building) is top quality with concrete construction, and there appears to be very little to no noise transmission between the units. The floors feel solid and dont creak like other luxury apartments we looked at. The absolutely massive windows brighten our apartment immensely.Other comments about the management team and quick maintenance service are spot on, everyone is super friendly and the things we noted when we moved in were fixed in just a couple days.Best part of the location is quick access to a Fresh Thyme literally across the parking lot, and a Target across the street if you need anything else.My GF and I spent a lot of time trying to find a quality quiet apartment to live in, and among the sea of cardboard cutout luxury apartments with zero soundproofing, this one stands out.

We have really enjoyed staying in this community for couple of years. The concierge has always been very responsive and this goes to Whitney, Jordan and Cindy - they always had a smile on their face and helpful whenever we need anything. We hope to come back someday and stay there again.

The Genesee has been an incredible place to stay, the staffing is wonderful and very responsive! I have been here for two years and it’s been great!

The apartment complex is nice, its in a great location, and maintenance always fixes issues quickly.The plaza apartments are super quiet. I literally never heard my neighbors. The noise in the tower building is just okay. You can definitely hear your neighbors every now and then but its not too bad compared to some apartment complexes.The maintenance staff is super friendly and respectful. It was a great place to live!

Genesee Apartments is one of a kind. I had the pleasure of living there for two years and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff is FANTASTIC, especially Whitney and Tyler. They are always there to help, answer questions, and always incredibly timely with everything they do. The best customer service to match. The maintence team could not be better either- the entire grounds of Genesee are always impeccably clean and if you have an issue in your apartment they are right there to help you with a smiling face. If you’re looking for a new apartment- Genesee is the one!!

I lived there for close to three years. It was an excellent experience. The management was reasonable about rent and very fair back when I began renting (2017) and throughout the time I was living there (until 2020). The staff were really awesome, down to earth, friendly, and helpful. Others have mentioned Whitney and Tyler as being particularly awesome and I second that. Cindy was also very friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was very modern with granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, and almost sound-proof walls (I could only really hear my neighbors if I really tried and they had kids and grandkids over a lot so its impressive I didnt really notice any noise). The underground, heated garage was included in the rent which was amazing and the amenities were great too. I didnt really use the pool but the gym was so convenient and had enough equipment that I didnt even need a gym membership to an outside gym. The location is crazy good too, its got so much stuff around it like Fresh Thyme right across the street, Target, Caribou, Chick-fil-a, and the whole southtown mall across American Blvd. Not to mention, its also reasonably close to both cities, the airport, and the mall. Centennial lakes was a spot that I would go to quite often as well and that was under a 10-minute drive away too. To put the cherry on top, I got my full security deposit back which does not happen, ever (in my experience with other apartments, theres always some miscellaneous cleaning charge withheld even if I do my best to clean the apartment before leaving). Best place I have ever lived in my apartment and renting experience - which is vast! I lived in all 3 buildings at Genesee and all were wonderful. The management team is awesome and always happy to answer any questions or concerns that you might have - and in a timely manner. The maintenance crew is also great at what they do! The grounds are immaculate and the amenities are top notch. The underground heated parking is a must in the MN weather as well. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my year living at Genesee Apartments and as a woman living on my own I always felt very safe. The underground parking was very convenient and easy to park in. One of the best parts was living across the parking lot from a grocery store and a 5 min drive from Target, Caribou, and Starbucks. The management was very nice and helpful and the maintenance workers were always available when needed! Overall it was a great place to live!

I should probably note that this is my first apartment ever so I have nothing to compare the Genesee too - but why would I? The Genesee and their staff were amazing from start to finish and they continue to be.My partner and I have looked into dozens of apartments and maybe seen a handful of them. It’s safe to say that apartment tours can sometimes be redundant and mundane, but Erin, Tyler, and Whitney provided such a fun and memorable apartment tour that we knew upon leaving that we wanted to live here. The application process was easy and relatively swift, as we impatiently waited to hear the status of our application for an agonizing 3 days.Cue to 10 months of living here, the staff continue to provide exceptional customer service to all residents. I can honestly say that they’re genuinely amazing people. In addition, the maintenance team is very timely with work orders and does an amazing job to keep the Genesee clean.All in all, you can’t go wrong with living here (I would recommend not living anywhere else, tbh). I’ve been blessed to call the Genesee my home!

Lived here for a year an our experience was great. Nice neighborhood, great amenities, amazing staff, spacious, good quality on appliances, to name a few. We never experienced anything negative (which is uncommon as there is always a little something). Were missing this place already; Kudos to the staff!

Weve lived here since construction was finished! At the time it was supposed to be temporary, and here we are almost four years later. The apartments are amazing, but what really sets Genesee apart is the staff. They go out of their way to do little extras for our kids, and are so quick to assist, should we ever need anything for our apartment. And the amenities are so great - the gym and onsite yoga are my personal faves!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Genesee Apts. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Maintenance is always on the move fixing our requests. We are moving out-of-state but if we werent wed continue living here. We want to thank the staff for always being so courteous.
