Rented outdoor RV space. Paid month to month. Paid through September. Went on vacation in mid-August, returned mid-Sept and our space had been rented out! They cashed our checks, we had RV parked in space through mid-August prior to vacation, yet they claim we told them we were vacating space in JULY. We initially thought we would move RV closer to home in July, changed our minds, notified Core 3 within less than 24 hrs, letting them know we were staying, which they said was fine. They had no problem taking our money for July, August, AND September. They never mentioned any issues during July or August, WHILE WE WERE PARKED IN RV space. However, the minute we leave for vacation they sent us a refund for check they cashed for Sept. rent (which we didnt get because we were on vacation!), and rented our spot to someone else! They now refuse to correct situation. Gave us undesirable, unsafe, not easily accessible spot next to gravel pit. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITHOUT A WRITTEN CONTRACT. They are unscrupulous, and completely void of business morals.

We chose Core 3 Springfield only because of Catrina Porter. She offers amazing professionalism (with a whole of friendly), she is a visionary and individualizes each experience. We are in the beginning phases of enjoying this company. If you look at reviews, there is not a lot out there. Catrina makes this company better! Her communication is so great! Her response time has been good considering how busy she is and I feel she is looking out for us. How can you ask for more? Core 3, give her a raise, you dont want to loose this one, to be sure.

I rented from Core 3 a few years ago and didn’t have a horrible experience, but when recently applying for new properties through them, I’ve realized their professionalism, punctuality, and overall friendliness has completely gone down hill. I have had nothing but problems trying to rent from them. When my roommate & I were originally looking for a place, we made appointments to view a few properties and when it came to that time, two days later, nobody showed up. The person at the front desk never scheduled the tours, even though we were right there in the office for that reason. After seeing 4-5 places, we finally viewed a place we liked. We were told we had to have approved applications to even view it, but during our tour we were told our applications were still incomplete? At this point, they told us they were waiting for our pay stubs/employment verification. My roommate had sent his pay stubs TWICE already in the previous 2 weeks. I had called and given the phone number to verify my employment also a week and a half prior. They just weren’t doing their job and also not communicating with us at all.Fast forward a few days later, I ended up losing the job that I was moving to town for so I wanted to remove my name from the application on the property and just let my roommate sign because he is still currently in town looking for housing, and could afford it on his own. Core 3 gave us the hardest time saying we couldn’t do that without having a lease from me proving that I’ll be living somewhere else. I’m staying at my parents and offered to give them my mail as proof that I will not be living there (because why would I move two hours away when I don’t have a job there). They told me mail wasn’t enough. After my roommate had to go back and forth with them, they called him this past Saturday and agreed to let him sign without my name on the lease since his application got approved alone. Now, two days later they are claiming they never called him and told him my name cannot be removed.I have never had a more difficult time with a leasing company. They do not care about you. They will not communicate with you. Don’t waste your time with them.I am so happy things ended up not working out because I can’t imagine how horrible it would’ve been having to deal with this company for another year. Also, I want to dedicate an entire paragraph of this review to Nicole at Core3 in Bloomington. Most of our problems have rooted from her. She is so unwelcoming and unfriendly for somebody who is supposed to be working the front desk. She is the one we scheduled tours with that were never put in the system, she is the one telling us one thing and then telling us something else another day, she was the one not following up with the pay stubs that were sent in. It’s unreal how someone so unprofessional can in charge of so much.

Core 3 is truly awful. Stay as far away as possible from this company. Poorly refurbished apartments in poorly maintained buildings. Incredibly unprofessional and unresponsive staff. Maintenance always comes late and unprepared to the job and will probably leave and return multiple times. If they have to hire any kind of contractor they typically won’t communicate with them about what actually needs to get done so they always have to come back for a second visit. Will send people requesting a showing of your apartment with a key without giving you any notice whatsoever, no matter how many times you tell them that it is an illegal violation of your rights to do that.In response to your response, gaslighting people who leave negative reviews on your horribly run property management company is not the way to run a business. Negative reviews are for you to learn from, not for you to discredit and brush off like a child who cant take responsibility for their own actions. Acting defensive and literally lying to people about your conduct is not professional in any capacity. Everyone at Core 3 should feel ashamed and embarrassed about their behavior.

Core 3 is an absolute joke of a leasing agency. I lived through them for a year and have had nothing but problems with the property and the property manager. Anytime I call the office my leasing agent is “out of the office on lunch” at 3 pm, 10 am, and apparently 4:30 now. My apartment had so many problems with various things. Claimed they had the apartment “move-in ready” when there was blood on my mirror a year ago. Gave me a $50 credit for the $200 and countless hours we spent cleaning the dump. Told me they would give me $100 and half my months rent of July back at the beginning of July after it flooded, haven’t seen a dime. After the apartment flooded, they claimed it was “livable” and I had to clean the muddy water myself. The moisture developed what I believe to be mold. I asked for an inspector to come through, that is one of the three unfulfilled maintenance requests we still have after our move out on July 31. I have been in contact with the city inspector to walk through the units, thankfully. We have also been in contact with a lawyer. DO NOT RENT THROUGH CORE 3. Save yourself the troubles.

I had a leak in my apartment roof every time it rained or snowed. I told them about it multiple times, each time Core3 claimed it was fixed but never was. So after a few times I gave up and permanently set out a big bowl to catch water. Then later on after moving out I got charged cleaning fees probably related to the leaks when they couldn’t even fix a hazard.... Also air conditioning units are horrible, they cost so much to use and do so little as they are old.

This place has a very hard demonetized and prejudice judgement of applicants. This Is just the kinda place I believe you should share your experience. I’ve seen and observed How they take your application fee and plan to never rent to you I have talked to so many people that have payed that money of 35-45$ each adult of 18. And still be denied. Even current tenants can’t believe the referrals that have been looked over for well qualified applicants. This Is a Sad Property management In Bloomington-Normal Area

I had a small window to move into the area - all unknown to me, by the way. I had trouble finding apartment units available at such short notice until I called Core 3. Kira worked with me for a couple days and communicated with me so well and QUICKLY. She let me know what units were available within my moving timeframe and what I could afford. She took care of me so well and I highly appreciate that, especially because I had no idea what I was doing. If you plan to apply for a unit under their management, I recommend calling them first to see if the unit is still available. They’re very responsive if you just reach out and tell them what you need.

Where to start with Core 3 in Bloomington...We have had several poor experiences with this management company whether it be the lack of responsiveness to the overall crookedness of the company. The only response you ever get to an issue is “well it’s in the contract” not let’s see what we can do given the circumstances, even in the event of going the extra mile as the CUSTOMER! I am so, so happy to be leaving this less than favorable management company! Renting in Chicago was a better experience than this.Latest, we don’t have air conditioning in our home and the emergency line is off the hook and their main line is dead as well! Looks like we don’t like to work weekends either, COVID Stimulus must have the best of them as well.Thank you for nothing Core 3 and the plus side is all you have is to go up from here!

One of the most poorly run, unprofessional leasing companies I’ve ever dealt with. And this is from someone that always paid rent early, never had issues. Response time is terrible, every time you call in to talk with someone they’re all “not available” or “busy” and then set up call backs that never happen. Do NOT deal with them. Also, they continued to charge for a pet rent fee after a dog was no longer on the property. After ignoring requests to remove the fee for over a month, they finally got back to me and said your lease said you agree to pay for two pets, and it said nothing about continuing to charge in the event of an animal no longer residing there.

So I put a new application with just my name on it and it was denied due to income-- I would have the income if they would accept my boyfriend as a cosigner but no. Core 3 recently took over property management for Liberty Storage in Bloomington, IL. I signed legally binding documents, paid them in full for the agreed upon amount, and was told that I would have immediate access to my belongings. I took unpaid time off work less than 24 hours after I paid them, in cash, to begin the process of moving belongings into my home, only to discover my lock was removed, and another lock had been put on. Jen stated she did not know that happened, reached out to Nick, the owner, who acknowledged he put a lock on the unit, and then told me he could be there by 5pm Friday or 12pm on Saturday. I made the payment around 4pm on Thursday, the day before I tried to access the unit. The reality is, this should never have happened, and there is no excuse. Jen stated this is a fresh start for the property, only to continue mention the outstanding balance, on a unit I was unaware still existed. I kept getting reminder emails to sign the new documents, which were not updated with the new agreement, giving me until 11:59pm on 10/18/20 to finish moving my belongings from the unit. I forwarded the email to her, only to receive an email at 12:19am telling me that my online account had been deactivate.Given they violated the legally binding agreement, did not give me access upon payment, failed to update the agreement, and then have failed to respond in anyway, I do not recommend their services.

I dont know why they have 3 stars here, but all I have is good experience so I am rating 5.Office staff ( Tara, Eric and others) and maintenance reps (Jeff, Mike and others) are very cordial and friendly. Turn around time is very quick based on the urgency of the issue. I once had a issue with water dripping in my bathroom and I wrote a online service request, maintenance rep was at my apartment in less than 30 minutes of submitting the request. Who does that? Upon move-in, the air conditioner blew a fuse. We were told to we would have to wait a few days at least for a repair that, under our lease, constitutes an emergency. We were ignored by text message for 5 or 6 hours (they had been very responsive up until we had a problem), then when we went to the office in person, we were told there was nothing they could do. The leasing manager told us face to face a walk-through of the property was done. All sets of blinds are broken, 4 lights dont turn on, a few roaches greeted us, the oven pilot light isnt on so we cant use that, no fridge light, the fridge produce drawer has been cleanly punched through, filthy floors with unknown sticky substances on them, 2 window screens missing, I could go on. To their credit, once we mentioned breaking the lease and contacted the building owner, we got the emergency problem fixed for now and a promise that we will hear from someone about the rest. I signed this lease about a month ago, giving ample time for small things to be fixed and the place to be cleaned. Based on reviews, it seems like if you dont have any issues with your place, this company is fine. Once an issue arises, you have about a 50/50 shot of them telling you to kick rocks. Find a better place to rent from unless you feel like dedicating yourself to resolving issues that youre paying this company to resolve.

The following week rolled around and eventually I just call, I leave a message. I was couch surfing, and extremely set on this specific apartment...I call again, I leave another voicemail. Finally I do receive a call back, every bit of information needed from me was sent. They needed to just verify my employment. They contacted my boss twice, apparently one of the signatures he had faxed back was in the wrong spot? He said he called them three times (he knew my situation) and by this long it had been 2.5 weeks. He stated while on a work call they called- he called them back, left a voicemail. Two days later I receive a cash stating that due to the length of time it took to get my verification they had already completed another application. The apartment was no longer available. They had nothing else I wanted to rent, my paper work came back good, I applied first, and I reached out to them?! Is this real? I asked about their non refundable application fee(which also put an inquiry on my credit) and she refused. Not once did an employee contact me on their own except to tell me I was not getting my desired apartment. They blamed time, yet- I submitted everything when I applied, so my end was finished. Just completely bogus, and I would suggest some better consultants.

Core 3 rents out multiple apartments but be wary of the 108 Oak Creek Apartments. The landlord is Lynda Rush, a bitter old lady and she is impossible to reason with. I have 4 months left on my lease and having knee surgery at the end of this month. I tried talking to her to see if I can get out of it early by forfeiting my deposit and paying next month’s rent but didn’t agreed. Then I said I’ll be subleasing and she said she doesn’t allow subleasing, or “they” don’t allowing subleasing. There’s an Illinois statue that states a landlord cannot unreasonably deny a tenant right to sublease. I went to the core 3 property office and they said they only help rent out the place but is not in charge of that property so they couldn’t help me. I asked the landlord if I can make checks in advance prior to moving out and she said I would still forfeit my security deposit even though I’ll still be paying, but to her if my things are gone then “I’m moving.” No where in the contract does it state that I must have belongings there to be a tenant, I could simply not have anything and want a place to stay. Also it is the landlord responsiblity to maintain the property but during the winter maintenance plow all the snow to the end of the drive way and blocked my carport so I couldn’t out. I broke a side mirror trying to get out and when making the complaint to the landlord, she said it’s maintenance job and not her problem and that I can try shoveling the big pile of harden snow out. I’m pretty sure there’s some illegality in this but she doesn’t care.

We contacted both the water company and core three and they both refused to aid in the payment of this bill. Core three said it was the tenants responsibility to call in the leak, but you cant call something in that you couldnt hear. I DID NOT KNOW THIS FACT WAS NOT TOLD THIS FACT... as well as being able to honestly hear every conversation, note of music and other goings on just like I was in the presence of the people in the apt above me. I had the apt less then 1 week...5 days when I begged this company to refund some of my money or move me to another unit. I paid deposit...pro rated rent from 19 -30...and 3 mnths ahead $2000 total...and paid in good faith until March 1, 2019. They would not help me one bit! They kept $1500 to break a lease of 5 days....all the money I had for housing since I had moved here from another state. Renter BEWARE...they will truly be on their best manners until an issue arises.I started dealings with them 3 weeks before actually moving here. They were fully aware of my situation. How anyone could be so greedy, unconcerned and so dishonest when dealing with peoples life...its sad. I now have to sleep at family members and friends homes...HOMELESS! THEY WERE FINE WITH THAT. Christmas spirit...not Core 3. I hope God will bless them with a conscience this Christmas season so others people dont go through what I am experiencing ...HOMELESS and exhausted. I have to work and have a 12yr old dog...she is confused being away from me ...CORE 3 ....RENTER BEWARE.

I am not the guy who likes to bad mouth companies. In fact, I like to think I am very forgiving of companies because I run my own business and mistakes happen. However, this property management company has been a nightmare to deal with. They have charged us for every maintenance trip and they continued to charge us for rent after we terminated our lease. Their communication on how things work such as termination, moving in, payment deadlines, etc... has not been good. I would be very careful with how you deal with them because we feel we have been taken advantage of.

Staff is horrible and u professional. We moved into a home with a horrible ant problem and bad plumbing. The toilets back up every month and no one ever fixes it. Then were told we dont handle pest control, even though we just moved in 1 day prior to noticing the problem. Please do not rent from this company. Worst mistake I ever made since I began renting.

The rentals we were shown from Core 3 were terrible! There were roaches in the kitchen in one unit, the front door in the next had obviously been forced open at some point, the next had a pane of glass barely attached to the front entrance and the entry way was so filthy and dilapidated we didnt even go inside. We continued to look at apartments through other companies and everytime we saw an unkempt or slum- looking building nearby there was a Core 3 sign next to it. This company does not care about quality at all.We would never use this place to find housing ever again. But were glad we saw what we saw, because now we know to save our time and turn the other way when we see the Core 3 sign.

They are horrible, rude, unprofessional and liars! I called them multiple times to get a water leak repaired! They never answered the phone, when I leave a message they won’t never return a call until I called and threatened to call corporate which is no better! By that time my $700.00 brand new digital washing machine got ruined because of water damage! They refuse to replace it! They apologize stating that the girl in the office was a temp and didn’t know what to do smh wow!

Moved my mother into an apartment through this management. Was told in the showing that the things that needed to be fixed would be fixed, and that it would be cleaned prior to her receiving the keys. Upon receiving the keys, we went to the apartment and found that nothing had been fixed nor cleaned. The doorknob to the bathroom was broken along with the door itself. There was no door handle on the fridge as it had been ripped off and not replaced. There were light/ceiling fan fixtures hanging out of the ceiling. The window lock to the bathroom window was broken. There was old chipped paint covered in grease splash that did not get repainted on all the walls. The door to the oven was broken. These are a few amongst the many things that were wrong upon arrival. The list goes on.After talking with Core3 about this, they justified all of this by saying that we knew what condition it was in and that these were cosmetic issues. Needless to say, the place was a wreck and a mess. They finally agreed to come out and fix a couple things but still left it a mess, did not clean or replace the fridge handle, nor did they fix a gap between the kitchen and living room floor. They did not fix the bathroom door or door knob either. Nor did they repaint the gross walls. Again, apparently this was all cosmetic and not their responsibility according to them. This company does not care about their tenants. They do not take any responsibility either. Not only did we have to pay $300 to repaint the walls but we also had to fix the floor gap, bathroom door knob, fridge handle, and had a team of cleaners come clean the place as it was given to my mother covered in filth. She has now been living there for a few weeks. We have tidied up the place, made it safe, and made it as cozy as we can.Aside from this, there is one other major issue we are facing. When she was looking at the apartment, I was with her. She asked the shower how the neighbors were with the only response being, I am not at liberty to discuss that.I can respect this for others privacy however, when there is the possibility of a dangerous situation because of someones condition or mental illness, it should be made known. The tenant who lives in the unit above hers has thrown a glass liquor bottle down at her car, missed the car but the glass shattered all over right in front of her car. I installed a security camera outside her door and since then we have recorded him stealing her red radio flyer wagon that she bought for my son, 2 shelves right off her porch, a grill off of the neighbors porch, and everything else that was on their porch he has stripped clean and taken. Their porch is now empty. As he does this, he talks to himself and when confronted, doesnt seem to remember stealing. We recorded the whole process of him moving the grill off their porch and below his stairs. When confronted, he claims he just saw it show up there and has no idea how it got there. The guy is nuts.Something needs to be done but has anything been done.. of course not.I wouldve appreciated some warning that the tenant above her has a mental condition. We have been made aware by his caretakers, not by the management.I have worked with many apartment management companies since 2009 and this is by far the worst management Ive ever seen.To sum it all up, I highly recommend you reconsider if you are looking into this rental company.Just a side note, the person showing the apartments should only speak on what they know. We asked how much the laundry cost in the basement. She told us, $1.50 per wash, coin operated.Recently I go down there to see what the laundry room looks like, and to my pleasant surprise, there is no coin laundry. Its free. Just one regular washer and dryer.Of course we werent upset by this, we were upset that the lady obviously didnt know and just made something up.If you decide to go with this company, I wish you better treatment than what weve had.
