Sofia is my go to nail technician. I love how detailed and thorough she is with her work. One thing that I really appreciate is how she respects my nails and doesn’t use the drill on my actual nails like most nail techs do. (That is a deal breaker for me.) She waits for the dip powder to soak off and gently files off any residual dip powder. Love her work and her attitude!

I came all the way from Westchester County, NY and I loved this place! I definitely will be back! It is very affordable. I literally paid less for my service and gas than I do at my NY salon!Thank you Jessica for making my nails beautiful!!!

Enjoyed my service. 2nd visit as my 1st visit was rushed and nails were not secured. Contacted them and my nails were corrected and they are holding up beautifully and its been a little over a week as this gel color is supposed to last for 2 weeks. Patricia was my nail tech and Olga thank you as well. I will return to Patricia for a follow up service.

This place is beyond amazing. I love the fact that this place is professional, very clean and the staff members are ready to help. I love the different cultures. The fact they do nails so nice and beautiful in fact in such a healthy way no bleeding no cutting off the skin and best of all all sns base. I’m in love with my new nail tech Anna. Pedicure for first time in this salon was beyond amazing Edith have done such a great job she is very gentle and I can tell she seems to enjoy her job she’s very polite friendly and professional. I recommend this place at 1000%!

Fantastic service. Very clean and professional. I came on a recommendation from a friend. I had a picture of how I wanted my nails and they were perfectly executed. After a years of searching, I found my nail home. Also their pedicures were done beautifully, spa quality, very reasonable and everyone is soo pleasant. You will not be disappointed

I went on a Saturday morning, it was busy but everyone was taken in a timely manner (which I greatly appreciated). You can also call ahead to make an appointment. I got a gel pedicure and it was everything! The salon is clean and sanitary. Im going back during a weekday to get my nails done (stay tuned).

I have been coming to Rouge for 5+ years now. The owner and staff are lovely, and always professional. I even rented the space out for an all girls spa day last year. We played music and were served refreshments. I highly recommend!!

My review is solely on the quality of my manicure. The salon is clean and they have a good selection of sns colors. However my manicure turned out quite chunky and thick, it is already peeling at the nail base. Its been 4 days. I was under the impression that sns should last atleast 1-2 weeks. I dont think Ill be returning .

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. We always come to this nail salon because some ladies can do nails very good and its a good price, however, this company is extremely unorganized and unprofessional. We made an appointment yesterday 06/04 at 1pm. We arrived and the nail salon was jam packed with a whole bunch of customers and a few they just seated. We informed them we already had an appointment and they informed us they are busy and we would have to wait. A proper company would call their clients with appointments and inform them that they are running behind schedule or they are packed so they dont waste their time coming in to sit. This company did not even have the courtesy to do that. So we rescheduled to come back today 06/05 at 3pm. We called in advanced to inform them that there is traffic and we will be 10 minutes late. However, we arrived just 8 minutes late and when we walk in, it is jam packed AGAIN. We had no courteous call to inform us that some employees did not show so they are behind on their clients, no courteous call to inform us that we should come at a different time. We informed them this is unprofessional and unorganized to make an appointment and not even be told, when we called, that they would be packed. That is extremely unfair. People have things to do, that is why they make appointments. I will NEVER EVER come back to this company or give them my money ever again.

This place is utterly horrible. When i left from this place my nails wasn’t even shaped right, it looked nothing like what i asked for and in 3 days of having them the top coat came and off and my nail broke. One of the ladies working there was so disrespectful she was getting mad because SHE kept messing up my nails and i was trying to correct her 0/10 i will never come back here. the only good part was my toe nails came out decent and the store owner was nice but her employees need a attitude check

Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Hopefully this is a one off but after getting sns powder about 2 weeks ago. I now have fungus in 3 different nails. Ive been getting my nails done for over 20yrs. And have had them done at less appealing places but never a fungus. Especially not from SNS. Being in this new climate this has to be better ladies. Sanitizing the instrument between clients is necessary. Shame on me dor not asking how they sanitize the tools.It was my first time there and unfortunately my last. Although very early stages of fungus that can be treated,not appreciated.

Was not a fan. The staff wasnt much help, you can of just stand there lost. I got a pedicure, it was very basic. They did use a hot stone that they passed over just once and no real massage or relaxation. My chair also didnt work so that was half of the experience gone in itself. There also is no where for you to dry your toes, so hope for an empty spot on the small couch. The women I assumed were the owners seemed nice enough. The staff, who I know didnt know I spoke Spanish, definitely didnt seem to like the owners much, and asked if they were gone and were happy when they left. Definitely not going back. 2 stars because no one was mean or rude, just unhelpful and the service was mediocre at best. Maybe the manicure service is better

They did a really great job, took me in on time, and did better than I even expected! Got a manicure and pedicure and was definitely happy. It was a little pricey but came out well. Will be going back.

This place used to be so good and ran well, but now it’s very poorly managed. Every single time I come here, they’re overbooked and running behind on appointments. What’s the point of making appointments if they’re never on time? Many customers who’ve been coming here for years are growing super impatient and over it. They honestly do really good nails which is why I keep coming back, but the professionalism and quality of service seriously needs to be improved ASAP!The receptionist rarely updates on appointments if you’re waiting after your scheduled time and she just watches you grow more and more frustrated. And some stylists like Patricia always have an attitude when you ask for corrections on your mani or pedi. It’s bits like this that downgrade the overall rating of this place, which sucks cause if it was ran properly with friendlier staff and on-time appointments, this place would run so smooth and always be packed with customers.I really hope they make a change before I find a new place. I’ve legit been coming here for years and I don’t live close anymore, but I’ll find a new place if they don’t get it together soon.

This is the best place for a clean, quality manicure. Their design selection is unmatched! You can expect to be here for 2-3 hours, but the close attention to detail always shines through. Patricia, Jessica, and Ana are so talented and are always willing to work with you on designs and styles. Ive recommended this place to a few friends and now theyre regulars too!

I would have given this salon 5 stars 3wks ago but after giving it another try and just leaving I changed my mind. When I went the first time I was so happy I found a new salon that I could call home. The lady that did my nails for the first time was so nice, polite and extremely friendly. I asked he what her name was, come to find out it was the owner doing my nails lol. She polished my nails a marshmallow white. It came out perfect!I came back 3 wks later like I promised the owner oh my goodness okay so I was getting a pedicure and sns. I was told to pick out my color, which I did, baby blue. My toes came out okay. Now to my nails, this lady her name starts with an E messed my damn nails up. I showed her a pic of how my nails were last time, square, short, sharp. this lady cut & filed my nails all the way down, reshaped my nails and keep cutting my skin with that damn machine. Then Im looking at the blue that I said I wanted to match my feet and I had 2 totally different blues. I should give this location 1star. But one of the nail techs was kinda enough to give me a credit. Other than that I will be only letting the owner do my nails!!!!

The owner and the owners daughter were amazing. The salon is cute and has an upscale twist. However, Im giving it 4 stars opposed to 5, because I was dissatisfied with the work my nail tech did. My feet came out great, my nails, that was a different nightmare. Ill consider going back, but I have to have someone else servicing my nails.

When Olga (the owner) is not there things are ran very differently. They need a manager who is business minded, nurturing but yet pays attention to detail and customer service. Because last time I was there they took so long for my pedicure and had me waiting I could not even get my nails done because I had another appointment. Over 2 hours in a nail salon to only get my feet done is unacceptable but they do a great job when the owner is there. They probably have the best selection of SNS colors in Essex County but they don’t last nail my nails broke in 3 days. Came back they fixed it right (no problem) but now I’m on day 11 and 7 of my nails are broken.

Great service here and they clearly have a strong base of clientele that is growing because of it. Got SNS nails for the first time. They look great! I chipped one by accident a few days later and they re-did it for free! And i got to see how easy out is to remove.

Very bad i got my nails done sns the owner was doing my nails then left me with a new girl that did not know what she was doing basically wasting my whole day really disappointment all my nails have bumps i told her dont leave me with someone that does not know what there doing and she left.

I enjoy going to Rouge Nails because Olga and the whole staff are super personable. They offer you beverages and are always so accommodating. They also do a wonderful job with SNS manicures!

This salon appears to specialize in SNS (powder) manicures. No complaints at all! Clean, professional, and the owner is very involved with the clients. I started to come here because I no longer cared for gel manicures and the damaged it did. Do yourself a favor and pick this place.NOTE: Only 4 stars and not 5 because i havent had a pedicure yet. So cant fuller rate.

Wouldve given it zero stars but couldnt got sms done on a Monday (over priced) by Thursday they started to lift I couldnt make it until Monday I went in all of them were almost off or cracked and i was told Id have to pay half of what I paid before i said absolutely not so I had them remove them and they painted my nails and I left

The design was beautiful! But with 3-4 days the design began chipping. And on the 5 day my nails were lifting. I was dissatisfied with how my nails was looking in such a short time. Ive had SNS done on my nails before and this never happened. I pay alot more for the quality and expect it to last. When I returned to the shop so they could fix/repair my nails, I was informed that I had to pay full price for an unprofessional service that I already paid over $50 for previously. Needless to say they have lost a valuable customer.

I absolutely love this place. All the ladies are very good at what they do and are very personable. The quality of their work is excellent. I especially love that they work quickly, I have been attended right away each time Ive gone.

Best SNS nails around! Ive currently gone to this location 4 times over the past couple of months and Im very impressed with the quality of my nails. Although a smaller facility, they do have a wide array of colors that can be picked and my nails have lasted 3 weeks with no chipping or cracking!Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a new nail place that will help strengthen your nails and last for a while!

The pedicure was very mediocre ... massage was not even 2 minutes long .. everything was rushed... also: they don’t have a drying machine for pedicures ...! So strange. Why?

I went to Rouge on a recommendation. I’m particular about my oval shape & everything else. Sophia was superb! No arguing, correcting on shape or paint job...just a pleasure! I will definitely be a regular. Oh, and they offer wine & tea!! Friendly, professional salon service at a good price. I paid $40 for a full S&S set w/ 3 colors + $5 for the oval shape. Reasonable price w/ no hassle & a perfect job for this particular client! #Happy! 😊

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a nail salon that did S&S and I found Rouge nails. It had a pretty good track record with reviews so I decided to go and get my nails done. First time I went (almost a month ago), which was first time getting S&S as well, 6 of my nails popped off after a week. So, I thought it was just me. When they popped off, I noticed a few of my nails had a green line on them. I thought it was maybe a vitamin issue so I tried not to stress too much because it was faint. When I went back to the shop to get them redone, I mentioned to the woman who was doing my nails, that 1.) my nails had popped off after a week, 2.) the green line. She didnt really have much to say, she just looked at them and tried to buff it off. On to the present, after I got them redone, they looked good, I was satisfied, they lasted two weeks without popping off, HOWEVER, my nails had started to lift so I decided to take two of them off because they kept getting caught on to things. So, I took them off and my nail beds are DARK GREEN AND THEY LOOK HIDEOUS. Its like a green nail fungus. This has never happened to me ANY other time Ive gotten my nails done, whether it be acrylic or gel. So I know its not me. And I have reason to believe that theyre not using clean utensils. Im done doing business with this establishment and I will be bringing it to their attention. Its embarrassing and disgusting and I just want to wear gloves until this clears up.

The tech I had was cordial, but never told me her name and didnt speak much English. I got tips and SNS. Each nail turned out a different size, thickness & shape. I got a little annoyed trying to explain to the tech what uneven meant, so I began making filing motions with my arms. She still didnt get it. The owner is very personable, runs a tight ship and a clean shop, but more training is needed for her staff. Not horrible, just ok for me.

Trying Rouge nails for the fist time I had high expectations however I was left highly disappointed! I was going by their Instagram page which I now know All the imperfections are photoshopped. The place is small and crowded and the girl who did my nails did a horrible sloppy job! I had two women getting their nails done before me and I had finished before them. The file job on my nails was all uneven, she made the nails on one hand longer than the other and didn’t even bother to make sure all nails were symmetrical. I picked a color that I saw in their Instagram page and the color did not match one bit with the color I wanted. Ontop of it all, what really aggravated me to write this review...I was left with small powder dots in my nails so I didn’t even have an even solid color!! It looks like I got my nails done after filing with no color and clear coat ontop! The inside of my nail bed was left dirty and I’m stuck scraping and cleaning the inside of my nails...which I should t have to do!! The sloppiest job I’ve even had done on my nails. I will never come back to this place. After driving 40 minutes away Im left so upset and dissatisfied with my nails!

Hands down best experience at a nail salon. The owner is hard working, very clean cut and stern about how her business is ran, the prices are beyond resonable the work the ladies in here do is impeccable and nothing shy of amazing they will try any designs for you.But most importantly they are very CLEAN something a lot of salons lack due to trying to keep up with large trafficking of customers. I always feel comfortable and like my business is appreciated. I always recommend them, its worth the travel, time, and money.

After reading all the reviews good and bad I wanted to try this salon out it, being that it is so much closer than my normal place. I went in today to soak my nails off and get SNS done, mind you it is only 3pm one person waiting, which is fine because I will be soaking the lady says soaking takes to long dont have time come back tomorrow.WHAT its 3pm if I wanted to come back tomorrow I wouldve come tomorrow not today. She deserves zero stars shouldve listened to the bad reviews.

Where do I start... Well I came here for the first time April 22nd. I walk in no one greets me, about 10 minutes later oh, hi do you have an appointment, I said no Im a walk in. No where in their store does it say appointment only. Apparently, I waited long because an entire bridal party was doing their nails. Thats fine, Ill wait but dont let me find out because I over hear you saying it to a co-worker. If you have a party just let me know. Then the lady who is doing my nails I show her a picture of what I want and which was silver glitter on my pointer and pinky and the rest one color. So Im telling her please cover my nail with more glitter, she kept saying its going to look funny. Ive done a glitter nail plenty of times, so I know I t looks fine. So after 10 minutes of back and forth, tired from arguing with the lady. I just left it as is. Finished, paid, left no tip and left! Will never come back again, terrible service!

I went to this salon for the first time on Friday. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately, they do a bad job with the SNS nails. They put on so much of the powder my nails look like I have a lump on each nail. My nails look very un-natural. They are very thick.Loved all the colors they had but staff is not well versed with making your nails look natural.

I came in as A Walk In ...Had to walk right back out ..1 They never said hello..2 never acknowldeged me and 3 I waited for almost 30 min to be asked what service I wanted. When I was told I had one lady ahead of me I waited to be told that They could not do my nails. I really want it to like this place. I made an appt when I got there the place was packed with women waiting. Im not surprise alot of folks were off for Good Friday. To my surprise another woman had an appt at 4pm too for the same manicurist. I really dont understand why businesses do that. It sents the wrong message good service is so important. I was there for 2 hours and 20 mins that is insane and it was so hot inside. The owner is like a firecracker going around telling her girls to move it and hurry up. The girl that polish my nails (mani) didnt polish them evenly. I cant stand it when you can see the bottom polish. I asked the owner if she can give the girl that did my pedi my tip, she asked me now is this important. I said why are you busy? Ill leave you all to decide if this is a place you would want to visit. I think Im going to look around or go back to Nail Fitness in Montclair the parking is the issue in Montclair.

Walked in to inquire for pedicure and when someone finally acknowledged my presence, I was told rudely told “we too busy!”

An appointment was made at 3pm. I arrived on time, an was never acknowledged. I understand its Saturday, and it may have been busier than usual hence why I made an appointment. Once, someone looked towards my direction, they sat me down in the pedi chair. I can only assume the owner was the one helping me, since she kept stopping and going else where then coming back and doing a lot of back and forth. After 20 mins of watching her run around, I then had to wait for the bowl to be cleaned and again wait for her to return to start assisting me. Mid pedi, she than switches with another lady. Mind you, never introduced me nor told me she was switching out. After my pedi was done, I should have been escorted to the lady doing my nails instead I waited and waited. The owner, asked someone to help take off my sns but even after than I waited. Everyone was busy doing someones nail. So I get it, its busy. But not even having an appointment will help at this place. I legit, paid for my pedi and walked out. Since, I couldnt wait any long then the hour and a half, I had already waited. Very poor management and poor timing management.

I have been coming to this nail salon every 2 weeks for a SNS manicure since June 2017. I drive extremely out of my way but I liked Olga and I loved the SNS concept. Today I had an appointment for 10am and they stuck me with the new girl Sophia (everyone has to learn I have no problem being the test subject) and I don’t think she has a license to do nails because it was so painful I had to tell her to stop multiple times. The index finger on my right hand is missing 1/2 of the polish, 4 of my nails are bleeding and she left the glue all over my hands. After already being there for 1.5 hours I didn’t have time for her to fix a mistake that should have never happened to begin with. I will NEVER go back to this salon. Between Sophia and Grace the woman who “tried” to handle the situation I have never been more angry 3 hours before I leave for vacation in my life. They still charged me $35 for the worst manicure of my life. So do yourself a favor and go one of the many other salons the surrounding area.

This salon its 5 mins away from my house. I went there once to get my eyebrows fixed and it was the worst experience ever. The girl spill the wax all around my hair. Anyway i was trying to give them a second chance and try their mani/pedi. Ive had call twice in the morning, two different days and they never answer. I tried another time and the told me they have no space, I went as a walk in and same story even though the salon was absolutely empty. I dont think Im trying anymore.

This place was good. Unfortunately, now its just a regular spot that may still have potential but is inconsistent. I made an appt for a Mani/pedi for my wedding and made sure to inform them. The job was done well but it did not last long enough for the price I paid. I went on a Thursday mid day and my gel manicure began to chip on Sunday. By the end of my honeymoon a wk later more than half my nails were chipped. No excuse, considering I was on a relaxing vacation with no labor like washing dishes, etc. Dissapointed and will have to find a new go-to.
