Almost 6 months into a switch to Allstate from almost a decade with USAA, and I am very pleased. I’m saving money, and I have an agent I can text for quick answers to any questions.

Whenever I have a question or need help Allstate has always been there for me

My insurance policies were with Allstate for over 15 years. I was with Jerry who was sold to the Burns on Chalkville Mountain Road, then they sold out to Amanda Mitchell. The only problems I ever had were with the last group.1st ProblemI needed commercial insurance for a flatbed card truck. I was instructed by the staff that Allstate did not provide commercial insurance, but their buddy down the street off Deerfoot did. All of my policies were with Allstate; Renters, 3 Autos, and Landlord Policies. So, I was totally disgusted by the thought of using a differently company. In response, I called the national hotline number for Allstate, they hooked me up with an Allstate Agent who wrote the policy.2nd ProblemA drunk driver hit my wifes parked car. The cop did not write it up as him being drunk, which was a blessing because insurance still kicked in. Turns out, we both had the same insurance company and agent. During this extended time period in which the claim was being handled, I spoke several times with someone at the Burns Mitchell agency. I was told several times, in several variations that they had to protect the person who hit my wifes [parked] car because they had been a customer longer. To me, this was open and shut. 1 driver, 2 cars. The police report even clearly pointed this out and laid fault on the only person who was driving... The guy who hit a parked car. The manner that the agency dealt with this accident was ridiculous and damaging to their credibility.3rd ProblemWe had a claim against us, our dog bit someone in our own home who was trying to kiss him [our dog]. Yes, this person was a stranger to our dog and this stranger attempted to kiss the dog. We accepted responsibility and attempted to resolve the matter. About 1 1/2 years later, everything settled with out any notice to us. We noticed it settled, when the person told a family member of mine... then the message was relayed. During the entire process, the person who managed the claim to us based on the circumstances we did not have to get rid of our dog. So, we progressed in life and it was time to buy a new home. At this point, we acquired a quote from the Burns Mitchell agency. When the quote was delivered, we were informed that we had to get rid of the dog to be covered under the new policy. They gave us a number, which when we got quotes from several of the other Major Insurance Companies (Farmers, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, and Nationwide) we discovered that when compared to our highest quote Allstate was nearly 700 more per year for our homeowners and approximately 450 more annually on our Auto Policies. We fully disclosed our situation to all Insurance Companies, in writing. Allstate is the only one who had a problem.After being a customer of Allstate for over 15 years, the third group to have my policies ran me off. Yet, this was obviously on the horizon for a long time. Being sent to another company for insurance that could be provided at Allstate, Backing the offender in a one driver accident, and the final straw of telling us we had to get rid of our beloved dog whom was protecting his home from a kissing stranger. I will say, that everyone I spoke with was respectful but none the less they pushed a loyal customer away on several occasions, until we finally left. This all was a blessing; the price of our policies had inflated over time and we got relief from this commissions game the agency was playing.

Im so glad my husband and I made the switch to Allstate. Our rep nick is the wiz with the numbers and truly care about his clients. Two thumbs up!!

I work for a roofing company here in Birmingham. I met Amanda at one of our customers house for inspection. What’s the big deal you might ask? I have been working with insurance companies for over 10 years and Amanda is the first agent that took the time to make sure her customer was taken care of!
