Went in for a sticker on my Benz which is a bit older ans not my daily driver. Was kinda cute my son failed me foe that! Regardless I had several issues that previous repair shops simply ignored or lies to me about the cost of repairs. Neils was honest and up front with me. Cost me a bit more than I should have spent on a 2002 but I love my car that much. Was nice to see my son using his mechanical skills on a vehicle he learned how to drive a stick

I called Neils Motors requesting some information on a matter that needed to be dealt with. I didnt know if they would take a look at my vehicle under the circumstances but they were nothing but kind and understanding. The gentleman listened to my story. and told me everything that would need to be done with my new vehicle in my situation. They did a mechanic evaluation on my new vehicle. They did everything that they said they were going to do, which was a big help for me under a stressful situation. They are wonderful!1st time using the company and very impressed!

Had right front axle seal replaced. Very professional. Repair done in a timely manner even with slight delay on getting correct part to be replaced. Part delay was NOT Neil’s Motors fault. Very satisfied with doing business with them as always!

On vacation in Southern Maine from Northern Virginia. Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend I headed out the door to drive my 2009 Volvo V70 wagon from Wells to Old Town. 2 minutes after departing I received a red warning light indicating the electrical system required maintenance / repair immediately. I stopped at an Independent Swedish repair shop in Kennebunk to see if they could assist (Fat chance on Friday of Labor Day) They were overscheduled and short a mechanic, but the gentleman took time to test the battery and verified it was not charging. He recommended calling Neils motors. This is where my luck changed from bad to good. They indicated they could look at the car shortly after Labor day. I had the car towed (thanks AAA) from Kennebunk to Biddeford and waited for their evaluation. Even though Neils was booked solid through the following week, they shuffled their schedule and had some mechanics agree to work late to help get me back on the road to Virginia. They evaluated the car and determined the alternator and original battery required replacement. Unfortunately after replacing the alternator, the replacement part was determined to be faulty. Neils worked rapidly to acquire another one and install it. They had me back on the road and running like new shortly after. Neils provided excellent service, shuffled their schedule to help me, communicated extremely well, and provided excellent quality service. I HIGHLY recommend this repair shop! Thank you everyone at Neils, you are appreciated!

They were wonderful! I called ahead with a request to fix a flat tire. They got me in quickly and they were able to repair the tire. I have sincere faith in their mechanics. They also put a note in my file to order and replace the specialty lug nuts at my next visit. The lug nuts were ok for now, but should be replaced in the future.

I had a screw in my tire on my way to a camping weekend/wedding and pulled over thankfully about half a mile from Neils! When I got there, it was about 4:50 on a Friday, and Jordan could not have been kinder or more efficient about plugging up my tire! He even recommended a good emergency tire kit to get in case it ever happens again, and it was all so affordable and quick. I was back on the road just after 5.

There is no issue with Neil motors but their employees brandon white and diana poirer are buying vehicles from customers and putting them online to scam people by saying they did an oil change, and replaced the motor when really the motor started ticking not even 3 days after we got it and they told us it’s probably the oil. If he did an oil change how could it be the oil? just warning people not to buy anything from these scammers.

I LOVE Neils Motors! In fact, I have never, ever taken the time to write a review before, but I did today. Why? Their service is OUTSTANDING. Their communication with their customers is absolutely the best, bar none. Every year I have the same problem when I take my car out for the summer. Solution offered by the team, and done in a heartbeat. I get a call when it is all done (in a short amount of time, by the way), pay and pick it up. I wont take my bug any where else!

I have used Neils Motors on previous vehicles in our household with great results each time. My own vehicle, purchased new, didn’t require their services until recently. As usual the repair process was handled very professionally. I was provided with the parts cost and estimated time to do the repairs, no ugly surprises, and a loaner car while they worked on my vehicle. Show me anyone else in town offering a loaner car. There are none that I know of.Something that is important to me is the contact with the tech at a personal level. I am a guy that wants to know as much of the details as possible about what ever is being done to my vehicle. This personal contact with the technician doing the repairs and the great interaction with the guys at the front desk is sadly missing in many businesses today, especially car repair.Neils Motors has been very fair with us for any repairs we have had done with them over the years. I would recommend them without hesitation.

When I noticed a bolt in my tire I called Neils and they said could see me right away. Jordan fixed up my tire within 5 minutes and even went the extra step to top off all my tires with air. He was extremely professional, friendly, and competent and for that reason I would 100% recommend Neils!

Way to expensive

Ok........ just had a chance to fire up my 1993 Eurovan, first time since getting it back from the folks at Neil’s a couple months ago. I have been rebuilding this van for 10+ years. Been thru ALOT of mechanics on this old van.These guys at Neils are amazing. Problems no one else could tackle... they fixed. They kept me in the loop the whole time - letting me know that they would not stop until problems were permanently fixed..... and they did!My van has never run so smoothly. I could not be happier or more impressed.These guys are the best. Professional, dedicated to perfection, fair, honest and great communicators. Completely blown away.

Had a freak accident resulting in a damaged brake line while passing by the area on our way from northern Maine back to Pennsylvania. AAA recommended Neils, so not knowing the area at all, we had it towed to them. They had the brake line replaced within a few hours of receiving our truck and we were back on the road. Originally went to prime ford because my airbag light was on and they quoted me $2100 to replace my track and driver seat sensor. I was recommended to go to Neil’s and they did the job for $578! Very friendly and professional.

I began using Neils Motors in 2004. I felt safe and respected. Then an inspection(November 2015) on my car(Volvo 2008) I was told needed $1935.00 in repairs before they would issue a sticker. I called Swedish Imports(Kennebunk) and for the EXACT same work the total was $1100.00. Then I ventured to Massachusetts on the advise of my brother who has been in the car business for over 30 years. I had my repairs done, 1 strut, 1 wheel hub was all that was needed. The total cost $499.00. Neils wanted me to replace both wheel hubs and both struts. I have since received an inspection sticker at Swedish Imports and nothing noted for repair by Neils was sited. I was able to express my sadness of this to Jerry, who has always been kind and helpful to me. I trusted you and I was betrayed. Word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool and when car repairs come up in conversation Yes I mention you. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Get a second opinion would be my advise to YOU!

The service here is outstanding!

I brought my truck in for a couple of codes that popped up to do with the transmission. I was leaning more towards an electrical issue rather than a mechanical one. so i dropped it off to them to do the diagnostics on it. Steve told me what the part was so i ordered it and installed it. a day later i was having the same problem as before so i took it back to them, they hooked up their scanner to it and one of the original codes popped back up along with a list of others. They went through it, reset it and configured the new part. so far so good. I am very pleased with the service they have provided thus far and will continue to go there for any other needs that may arise.

I showed up unannounced with a sudden, odd car problem. They took care of it then and there and didnt overcharge me.Great place, great service. If I break down again, I hope to be in that neighborhood!

Said the part was going to take one day to get & it took five days. Neils owner said they could not repair unless they had the part. True but said it would take one day. Should not have promised repair in one days time. Another part they replaced was defective & they waited a couple of days to reorder, after doing a test drive they said right front caliper had to be replaced. Total bill was $800.00, should have given discount because it took so long.

I`ve been with Neil`s Motors since Steve`s dad ran the show, 1985 as I recall, was my first experience. Still with them to this day, and that should say something. They`ve shown nothing but professionalism, competency and concern for the financial side of maintaining a vehicle for the last 30 years and whether it was that first encounter with my 1980 VW Golf or my current F-150 they do it all! There is NO other facility to use in southern Maine, esp for German or Swedish vehicles. You won`t find better folks!
