I drifted in and out of many (many!) barbers’ chairs in New York City before eventually landing in Mike’s back in 2012. It’s now nearly a decade later, and his are still the only pair of scissors that I will let near my head. Of course—as the other reviews here note—Mike’s exceptional skills as a barber are just one of the reasons that I consistently return to his chair. The “vibe”, as I believe the kids call it nowadays, is always natural and relaxed and Mike never disappoints when it comes to carrying on great and engaging conversation while he does the ole snippy-snip. In all seriousness, he is a real professional, and he delivers literally every single time. I can’t recommend strongly enough that you book your next haircut with him, so do yourself a kindness and get in his chair!

Mike is definitely the best barber I have come across. He has been my barber since 2012 and has guided my hair through all the different phases: consistently short, going from short to long, consistently long, and most recently going from long to short. Its always an enjoyable and stress free experience, he is the ultimate professional. I would give more than 5 stars if Google allowed.

Mikes easily the best barber Ive ever had. I know Im in good hands as soon as I sit in his chair. Been going to him for about 8 years or so. Whether its going for the clean short look or keeping it shaggy he knows exactly what to do. Not only is the cut top notch but the conversations are epic. You leave feeling like you were just served a few cocktails from Sam Malone.

Mike Sposito has been my barber for over 10 years. Im writing this as an endorsement, knowing that he has just relocated to a new city. There are many a good barber / stylist, but it is difficult to articulate the difference between someone who is good versus great or extraordinary which is how I would describe Mike. He of course has the technical skills to pay the bills, and is extremely socially adaptable without being superficial or chatty. He is a genuinely cool and intelligent dude. His knowledge of culture, music, film etc give him a style vocabulary that enables him to not only give you exactly what you want, but help you discover what you never knew you needed.He will probably make you laugh and turn you on to several things in the process.Book him while you can.

Mike has been cutting my hair for three years and doing an excellent job. Here are 2 things that make me swear by him:1. Personality & Taste — I think he’s and interesting guy with fantastic taste. When i sit down, we talk a little bit about what we think works in my hair, in our neighborhood, in jewelry, in dating. Once, he leant me his pick up truck so I could haul my motorcycle. I trust the guy, is I guess what im saying, in matters of hair and non-hair.2. Knowing How My Hair Grows — He cuts my hair in a way where it continues to look great as it grows out. After one cut, my hair looks great for months afterwards, as it cycles through different styles and lengths. How does he do it. We dont know. He seems to take the time to understand how my hair works in a way other folks dont.
