Took in my Mercedes c300 2013 for a major service. Rob was amazing, he sent me pictures of the flaws he identified and explained what needed to be repaired and why. Had to replace a ton of sensors, a wiring harness, did all four brakes plus oil change and so on. It’s a completely different car now. It drives like brand new. Not the cheapest, but a fraction of dealership prices and worth every penny.

I recently had my 911 in for some work. They provided excellent service.Rob is extremely professional and knowledgeable and has a great team of techs. If your car needs service/work, they provide a better and more reasonable alternative to the dealer.

Rob and his crew are the neighborhood shop that you maybe remember from an earlier era. The shop is clean, the waiting room is comfortable and the work is done right. My wife and I drive 20 miles to bring our cars to Rob. We trust him and his advice.

The headman Rob is awesome, and him and his guys do excellent work. Ive been in multiple times for my 10 528xi, and after each visit Im always so pleased with their work,, which I believe is done with great skill and integrity.

Rob has always been great! His work quality is excellent, hes very knowledgeable, and forthcoming with technical details. I never feel likes holding anything back. Prices are fair too and I never leave feeling like I was ripped off. I will continue taking my BMW to Boston Motorwerks for every job I cant do myself.

Ive been going to Rob for about 10 years now over a series of cars, ranging from Z3s to an X1 and a Porsche *. I always feel like Im getting good advice a fair price on work and parts and someone who will stand behind their work. He recently extended the facility to include an excellent waiting room and has limited loaners. Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking an alternative to dealership service for BMW and Porsche.* Yes, Rob now also services Porsche, hes done the investment in the tools and hired a factory tech.

Interviewed them for a major brake service; individual I spoke with did not understand hydraulics, of didnt like clients that did. Will simply go elsewhere...beware

Brought my M3 in for the Inspection 2, which was reasonably priced relative to other places I received quotes from. They completed the inspection as well as checked for other problems. Instead of forcing the extra repairs onto me, Rob explained each problem and recommended whether I should get it done or could wait until next servicing. I received an e-mail estimate and let them know which repairs to complete, and I am thankful for their help. Since the inspection can take some time, I needed a loaner and I received one no problem or cost once it was available. Friendly staff that knows what they are doing and that I will definitely use for further service.

Great non-dealer solution for servicing your BMW. Ive used Rob and his team for 3 years with my 2008 335xi, and have had great luck. I grew up in an automotive family, and Rob doesnt use the slimey tricks to convince you to get extra work done. Hes good at explaining what needs to be done, and what can wait.His prices are good - better than the dealership, but not cheap - partly because he likes to use OE parts rather than Chinese made generics. Hes a good example of you get what you pay for.Rob is great using email and communicating in the modern age, and has all the latest dealership computers and hardware - very high tech. He can diagnose and update tech issues just as well as any BMW shop.Great to see what is now a very rare occurrence, a fairly priced honest and capable mechanic.

Looking for Porsche repair in Boston, I found Rob at Boston Motor Werks to help me out with issues on my 911. Its been a fun but temperamental car over the years and very happy to have found him so now I can avoid the high cost dealership service! I was in and out quickly and felt treated fairly which is huge for me.

Brought my car in and he charged me 4000.00 because he said the cylinder shut down and needed all new plugs and coil packs. Turns out the cylinder was no good now Im out 4000 and an engine. Just wish he was honest with me and not just trying to get short money. Ive replaced the engine since with another shop with told strait out what was wrong. Rob is very knowledgeable and very honest which is just what you are looking for when you need service for your BMW. He knows whats important and explains what needs to be done in laymans terms. He is has a great personality and I always enjoying seeing him when I need my M3 serviced.

Very impressed with my experience here at Boston Motor Werks! I have always taken my 2005 Mercedes E500 to dealerships for service because of the guarantee of genuine parts, free loaner cars, and consistent professionalism; but I met Rob and decided to give his shop a try instead of returning to the dealer. Im very glad I did and I dont see any reason to go back to a dealer again. Rob is a true professional and his work clearly demonstrates he is a thorough, hardworking, conscientious technician. He went through my car from bumper to bumper and correctly diagnosed and solved multiple issues that the dealership had incorrectly diagnosed or offered no solution for. Several of them he even did free of charge--like simply re-aligning my Bi-Xenon headlights, something previous places had told me could not be done (had to replace the whole unit).He gave me clear estimates and plans for each job and all of them were ~50% of what the dealer had estimated. He was consistently in touch with me throughout the whole time he had my car and supplemented our conversations with pictures via email. Very professional and provided a clear timeline for the work being done. Furthermore, he took the time to diagnose several issues which I had mentioned off-hand but wasnt even requesting he take a look at during this visit. He clearly spent hours going through the car, almost just out of true car-guy curiosity, so he could figure everything out, but he didnt charge me for any labor other than what was required for the specific jobs I brought the car in for. You can tell he really cares about his work.Rob also provides BMW loaner cars while he is working on your car, which is hugely helpful if youre a single-car household and rely on your car to get to work! In my experience with various different places over the years, usually dealerships are the only service centers that offer loaner cars. So I found this to be pretty significant.And, because I had actually worked in a BMW service center at one point, he took the time to show me around his shop in detail and talk with me for a while about their tools and technicians. This gave me a lot of confidence in his shop as it is clearly a high-quality, top-level service center and Im very particular about my car--Ive been willing to pay dealer prices for this long, after all. But, I now have complete confidence in leaving my car with these guys.In the end, he ended up finding that many of the issues I had been told by the dealer were $3,000-4,000 fixes could actually be fixed for $500-$1,500! He and I worked together to decide what needed to be done right away vs what could wait until the future, and together we made a plan for the car and I feel that its in really good hands. Really gave my car a new lease on life and Im excited to have Boston Motor Werks as my go-to place now.

They are friendly. Showed me what I need to repair and explained in detail. I will go back definitely. It is my first try in Boston and hard to compare, so I gave 4 stars.

I started giving my 335xi from a year ago, and the results I see are great. Pretty happy with these guys.

Went in for a road force tire balancing, after two failed balancings at NTB (Audi S4 with 19 wheels). They found the problem tire (out of round), and balanced it as well as they could. No more vibration at highway speed so Im a happy camper. Worth mentioning they wont service cars other than BWM and Porsche, but will do basic things like tire balancing and alignment. Fair up-front pricing, a bit pricey but worth it for very high quality work by expert techs.
